I’m begging everyone who LOVES stranger things to watch super 8 this movie is extremely underrated and it’s literally stranger things before stranger things even existed.

RWBY wants to be ATLA so bad, but forgets that they need to treat the subjects they bring up seriously and with little black and white mortality.

Even though I've not watched a lot of ATLA, what helps me understand was Hbomberguy's video critiquing the first 3 volumes. I do believe ATLA fans when they say the show is great because hardly do I see people giving the show as much critique, backlash, and criticism as much as people do now for RWBY. (Though frankly, any show and any fanfic writer can make something far superior to whatever the hell RWBY is.)

It's still SO mind-boggling how RWBY is a show that will adamantly bring up subjects so sensitive and serious, but then they have no idea what the hell to do with it because - duh - the subjects ARE realistically sensitive and serious.

I'll always be hung up on how they treated the Faunus arc, and knowing they set it aside because "we don't know what to do with it," just infuriates me. Bring up a serious topic that involves abuse and racism, but then put it off because it's just so complicated to talk about? You don't have to include these things if you can't figure out how to talk about them, that's a no-brainer. Don't make yourself look like a fool if you don't want to be called a fool lmao.

And how Adam looked and was almost(?) like a Zuko, minus the cool fire powers. But then I guess it would be a HUGE ripoff if they gave Adam - a minority - the same redemption as Zuko got. So just kill him! :D Who needs redemption when we

And then Jaune being their Sokka, so I guess that means Ruby is their Aang?? Because I believe that's what they're going with, if she's got a super unique power, like Aang has all four elemental bending arts. Even though Aang could probably do all these missions better than whatever the fuck Ruby and her team's been doing.

Hey at least ATLA characters have established identities and don't keep calling themselves kids as an excuse.

Team RWBY+ still can't figure out their own semblances after 8 years.
