every gintama character got like one cool scene a piece for their tragic backstories and the rest of it is just total ass every time without fail
#my post#gintama#i am aware this is a bad take but thats where i stand rn#gintoki#gintoki sakata#kotorou katsura#takasugi shinsuke#im trying to think of who else#the shinsengumi guys i guess but i dont feel like tagging them all#some characters get hoed#they dont even get a cool scene or a tragic backstory at all if that#save my guys from the gintama format#im going to hell for this#gintama one of the only times i can think of where fleshing out your characters had the opposite effect like how#for the record gintoki's cool scene is that graveyard otose scene when they first met#but just because it appeals to my aesthetics#one day ill make a post where i explain what makes that scene so much better than all the other ones
