got pulled up by a cop for reading a book on a swing 👍 im sure he had other reasons to pull over and have a chat, but truly unclear on what the fuck information he thought he was getting out of me when, at that point, i was just walking home

#the sequence: i got to a park. got in one of those big bucket swings. read a book for a bit.#the cop and another car separately pull into a park. i spot a young kid leave the other car #and i go 'well! time to vacate the park for the target demographic!' given im. yknow. 24 #and so i get up with a bit of haste and walk off. as i go to cross the road to get home the cop pulls over and talks to me #like truly i have no idea what his problem was #i wasnt getting booked or anything but hes just like 'whats your name? what were you doing? where do you live?#what are you doing next?'#and im like ? i was reading a book about historical murders.... im going home... i live around the corner?#i shouldve said i was reading literally anything else but at the time i got off the swing i was literally reading about historic murders #but its like ? what did he think i was doing #i am starting to wonder if he thought i was like. a hs student on holiday or smth?#its not like its a crime to lie back on the big swing tho. so again. whats the deal dude #extremely annoying honestly considering i was literally 2 minutes from my house #god forbid i wanted to get a bit of fresh air and some reading in before the storm. 🙄
