"Oh yeah, Reg owed me so much money, actually," Barty continues, unbothered by Regulus’ death stare. "I offered to let him pay me back in installments." "Did you really?" James asks, voice now betraying amusement. Regulus lets his head drop back, a dull thud against the shelves. He considers moving. Maybe Europe? He’s heard wonderful things about Portugal. Then again, Regulus never did well with heat, so maybe he should head more North. Denmark perhaps. Barty hums, then says, "Think I could also beg a kiss off you? I probably have a few dollars lying around. Gotta make sure Regulus invested his money well, you know how it is." He's patting his pockets for good measure, pulling out some lint and a wrinkled twenty-dollar bill.
