#the second i saw kiriyama i knew he was gonna be my favourite

my friend made me watch this gag anime with her recently, called Murai in Love/Murai no Koi. and I just want to say that the mc's friend, Kiriyama (more commonly known as Kiri), and Tashiro Gonzaburou from Sasaki to Miyano have got to be cut from the same cloth.

Here he is:

they both have long dyed hair that they tie up and they both wear head bands!

of course, they're not the exact same. no two people are the same. but guess what? the mc outright says that Kiri has an "unusual level of insight". (doesn't that sound familiar?? (ФωФ))

also, just like Tashiro, Kiri isn't just this silly guy that we're initially shown. (he's probably the most serious character in the show, honestly (which I suppose isn't too difficult in a show where everything and everyone is unhinged)). like. he gives some great advice in one of the episodes, and in another he's Brutally Honest. he does not sugarcoat a thing. it's so good. he cares about mc so much. such a good friend.

another thing about him is that he's an artist! we don't really see him doing any art (thus far, anyway) but his room is like. full of paintings. this has nothing to do with Tashiro by the way. I just really really like characters who are artists.

if you couldn't tell, Kiri's my favourite character. just like Tashiro.
