i think the strongest evidence for trajean is when Jean says "Trant is only here because I'm forcing him to be here", because:

trant is rich, clever, seemingly has his pick of vocations and (unlike most other characters) can do whatever the fuck he wants.

jean has power over absolutely nobody and can force nothing. he'd struggle to make Harry eat a chicken nugget if Harry were starving to death.

despite this, trant IS there and it DOES seem to be solely bc jean wanted his opinion on Harry's amnesia.

then later, after they left and had to come back to Martinaise AGAIN, trant willing obliges AND plays chauffeur for the cops.

IN CONCLUSION: trant heidelstam is doing simp behavior
