sometimes i wonder how the show would've handled a scroldie origin episode. obviously neither of them would've been allowed to do half the things they did in the comics but it would've been interesting nonetheless

i genuinely think it wouldve been a really good episode. like, it would've had to be another ep with no kids (like golden lagoon) or an ep with story time (like outlaw) but it would've been nice for goldie to be the narrator instead of scrooge lol

or maybe someone else completely... they wouldnt have wanted to rehash the same story style for another scroldie ep so maybe it couldve been like.........the kids doing a play lol i think someone wrote a fic like that once. webby plays scrooge, lena plays goldie! because i say so

louie or dewey could also play goldie (cuz of relationship & singing talent)

other option could be just webby making an attempt to tell the story of how they met based on all the evidence shes gathered and then beakley cuts her off at one point

Thinking about another fan episode idea involving Scrooge's Klondike days and Gyro's time tub got me to drawing Scroldie again. Another thought came for drawing Scrooge and Ratchet based by the Life and Times of Scrooge Mcduck.

i dont talk about scroldie enough but i have so much respect for them and the scroldie warriors....... its so #canon. its real. i cannot see either of them with any other person . they're are both so awful they are perfect for each other and should not drag anyone else into their Thing. Golden Lagoon is one of my favorite episodes of season one. i think seeing them in that dark and colorful lighting, tangoing, fight-dancing awakened something in 2020 me. "you loved gold more than you love me" "and thats why you love me" like DAMN . you old people should keep enabling each other's awful awful coping mechanisms. i love you.

for rottmnt: nonbinary lesbian donnie! at first i did not see it at all but now i struggle to imagine him any other way.

for ducktales: sorry it's another queer headcanon but genderfluid scrooge! somebody in the group chat proposed it and gave their propaganda (I DON'T REMEMBER WHO RIP) and at first i was like 😕😕 but i couldn't stop thinking about it and now i really like it. scroldie toxic yuri is real in my head

8: you hope more people will come to appreciate ___ (a ship, a trope, an episode, etc)

for rottmnt: the fact that donnie is really bad at sports. i think it's an interesting detail and i don't see it explored super often in fan content. in particular i find it interesting that he always participates anyway and seems to have fun and genuinely give it his all, and his brothers seem to like playing with him even if he sucks. there's some good fluff fic potential in there. also the shorts/mini episodes on youtube are so neglected by the fandom

Fold, my first uploaded fic! It's one of the best examples of my writing that exists and I still struggle to believe I wrote it in just four days. People also seem to really like it and the validation and feedback from readers is really inspiring. 💜

I'll be honest, it's actually been so long since I've watched any of the episodes with Goldie, so I don't have a ton of thoughts on her and Scrooge. However! The reason I have "better in fanfic" marked is not that I don't like them in canon, but that the scroldie fans on here are So Talented It Makes Me Lose My Mind, and the fanart of them is mostly what I think about most when it comes to them.

But yeah, I think it's fun when Scrooge and Goldie are very very very annoying (affectionate) and also they amuse me. And I really like how fans portray the complexities of their relationship; their scene in chapter 12 of And A Sixpence In Your Shoe was stunningly written and felt so raw and real. All in all, not a lot to say about them, but filling this out was fun!

I’m gonna take a little breather after Sixpence, but I’ve got three long fics in the works rn. I actually posted the first chapter of sixpence to force myself to finish the last third instead of working on the others 🤣

One is a proper, full family adventure fic, but it’s got a much different tone, so I’ve only been able to work on it in pieces for the sake of my sanity. It’s the first fic I ever wrote, and it’s a couple hundred pages, but it needs a lot of revisions. Love it tho, and I’m pretty proud of it.

Another, and what’s probably gonna be the next one published, is the canon family meeting themselves in an alternate timeline where some things turn out a bit differently, and they have to race to get home while helping their AU selves get out of their mess. If you’ve read Gentle as it Goes, that one takes place in the au world.

Other than that, there’s a few oneshots, an old school scroldie fic, a lil collection of oneshots of mundane things sucking on different adventures (wrote it on a solo backpacking/rafting adventure) I’ve actually written 2/3rds of a prequel fic, but I want to release a bunch of prequel episodic fics in order, so that one’s on the back burner, even though it’s my favorite to work on rn.
