#the scene is better without the wattpad s*lavellan fic

is it just me or are all the s*lavellan related lines in dav giving wattpad fanfiction? as a former s*lavellan i know weekes writing is much better than whatever hot garbage that was in dav. half of it seemed ai generated. even the “reunion” scene was very anticlimactic and solas was like

l*vellan was the one always reaching out to him and he barely acknowledges her, then he thanks rook and walks off without her and once again she had to chase after him while he ignores her. it read like neither weekes or the animators gaf about s*lavellan anymore so they just wanted it out of the way. in fact why was the inquisitor there at all? they brought absolutely nothing to the story they only appeared for nostalgia’s sake. it feels like the writers really didn’t know what to do with them and im gonna be completely honest they should have just left them out of the game

but back to my original point, not just the s*lavellan lines, though they were definitely the worst, a lot of the dialogue and writing in general felt half-assed. them also retconning half of the lore established in previous games, and not keeping continuity from dai, didn’t help imo
