The way the dynamics between men and women are portrayed in popular media genuinely makes me so uncomfortable. I could talk about a lot of things
1. The “harmless nerd” trope
In which the man who is usually a social reject (like a nerd or just a quiet kid) engages in stalking and/or persistent pestering of the woman. Ex. Watching her with binoculars through windows, taking pictures without her permission, constantly making romantic advances towards her despite her clearly telling him NO, and so much more. And such behaviour are portrayed as sympathetic or not as creepy as they should be, why? Well he’s a nerd, there’s no way he could do any REAL harm! And in the end, the stalker is almost always rewarded for it in the end by “getting the girl”.
One thing I find really gross is how the movie will show the boys watching the girl in her home and for some reason they’ll have the girl performing strip tease for nobody in her own home?? Like she’s performing FOR the guys watching her and for the people watching the movie. You can obviously tell when the director is a man in these things.
An example of such behaviour is Leonard from the Big Band Theory. While he didn’t really stalk her he just wore her down until she finally agreed to date him. And another thing comes to mind was when they spoke about having kids and she told him she doesn’t want kids but he wasn’t happy about that. Eventually they did end up going through with it I just find it so weird and uncomfortable how the narrative constantly rewards him and all the other guys for their horrible behaviour.
2. The childish girl trope
Okay I think this is moreso a thing in anime but I really hate how the mannerisms, facial expressions, and even the voice of women in anime are meant to sound so akin to children? It’s so weird. And it’s even weirder how they sexualize it.
Like you’ll have girls who are explained by the narrative to be high school age to literal adults and you’ll have them acting like children and in the same way have 700 shots of them shaking their boobas everywhere and I personally think this is really weird. First of all, why can you only find them attractive or dateable if they look and act like a child 🤨? That is VERY odd! Looking at Toradora specifically. Secondly, is it IMPOSSIBLE for you to write a female character who actually acts like a human being? And for the male characters in their lives to treat them as such as well?
Even worse when you see how the male characters are portrayed compared to the women. Male characters are usually written to fit their actual age, they’re drawn to look their age, and others treat them like people too. They’re also usually taken more seriously in universe and by the fans. Girl characters on the other hand are portrayed in ways that are purposefully made to be appealing to guys which apparently means making them seem as young as possible??? And they’re often usually taken less seriously by the narrative and by the fanbase. Like I can’t count how many times I’ve seen guy characters peep at a female character or literally GROPE them and then the narrative plays it off as a joke. And more often than not, they face no repercussions and are also usually rewarded. I will expand on this in the next point.
This is why Studio Ghibli is superior.
You actually sometimes see things like this in western media too but I can’t think of any off the top of my head purely because I don’t watch a lot of TV anymore.
3. Women’s discomfort played off as jokes.
One of my favourite shoujo anime is Yumeiro Patissiere. I haven’t finished it yet but I do like it so far. HOWEVER there are a few scenes that genuinely made me so uncomfortable especially since this anime is marketed towards kids.
There was a scene in which the main character, Ichigo, goes with her classmates to deliver birthday cakes to some kindergarteners since it’s part of the school program. And while Ichigo is standing to the side watching as the kids get their cakes, a couple of the little boys (kindergarteners btw) flip up her skirt to peek. Obviously Ichigo is distraught by this and rightfully gets upset at them. Though the kids face no real repercussions, not even from their teacher who should tell them not to do stuff like that. And throughout the episode, the boys always refer to Ichigo as “strawberry panties” and make rude remarks to her regarding that.
Normally, I shouldn’t have to tell people that things like this are obviously morally wrong but I told someone online this since he kept on saying “it’s not a big deal” and after I said it, he replied “I’m not reading allat just don’t watch it then” 😐
Now such things are extremely common in anime and even in figurines of franchises where the woman is obviously distressed by someone trying to peek at her and it’s just seen as comedic or God forbid “hot”. And as usual, the perpetrator faces no repercussions.
An example I can think of in western media is in the Big Bang Theory where the guys made a robot thingy with a camera and Howard used it to peek up Penny’s skirt. All the guys were aware of it and all that was said about it was “you might wanna wear pants” or something idk. And then a laugh track. And when Penny finally goes off at Howard, as she should, somehow she’s in the wrong and Leonard comvinces her to apologize to him. Why should his fragile ego be prioritized over her literally being treated as a human being?
4. Sexualization of people who don’t want to be sexualized
I think this goes for most women generally though when I say this I mean women who are:
Police officers, nurses or doctors, veiling women like women who where hijabs or niqabs, nuns, flight attendants, firefighters for sole reason, even park rangers?
These are jobs in which women are constantly sexualized and harassed in workplace and society. Just search up “women’s police Halloween costume” or anything of the sort and see what’s there. You see it in films, in shows, everywhere.
But the one that really angers me are when women who dedicate themselves to modesty are sexualized. Like I said earlier, veiling women like hijabis and nuns. It’s the most disgusting and disrespectful thing ever. I see it more often with nuns. If they’re not depicted scary, they’re usually depicted as sexualized with outfits having slits in them or being body contour. Ugh it’s so gross. Literally nothing is off limits.
Don’t get me started on school girls. School uniforms are constantly sexualized in media and it’s genuinely worrying. Connecting this to my earlier point about how childish women are for some reason seen as more desirable, it’s concerning how much more women are portrayed as “sexy” the younger they appear in media. And it’s bleeding into real life too. I’ve seen plenty of stories where adults are disappointed when they find out the girl they’re talking to isn’t in middle school or something :(
Respectful portrayal of both genders really matters in media. Especially when a lot of media is catered towards children who are impressionable. People shouldn’t have to be told that things like this are also morally wrong in media as well but for some reason it needs to be said over and over.
I’ve left out quite a few things because this post would be too long if I kept going. But you can add onto the post if u want.
It’s late I’m gonna sleep gn.
#l41n rants#women in media#women in anime#it’s so frustrating trying to explain to someone WHY this matters#even worse when people start to blame the woman

vn* in a bottle: petit game collection vol.1
hm, i guess there's a bit of an irony talking about this before needy girl, but here we are. i played this with my darling and had a really nice time
this game is a spin-off of needy girl overdose / needy streamer overload. it's collection of 3 minigames and a developer's notes room. it's retro goodness, not that i'm that old to know. i did play toradora portable though, and that had some extra content similar to this. i guess that main difference is that you're paying for this extra content, huh. i feel it's pretty worth it if you really like needy girl
only one of the minigames is a vn, so let's talk about that last
break out kangel
it's kangel breakout. this one is entirely in japanese. it'd be fine if there wasn't a little bit of dialogue, but otherwise you're not missing anything
i'm not sure how common it is to have strip breakout as an extra minigame in vns, i've only played one other that has something like this, but it kinda feels like a staple to include if that makes sense? i could be wrong. i don't exactly know what to search online to find that kind of info, too
anyway this is just strip breakout. break the blocks, collect the falling power ups and uh remove kangel's seifuku. simple as that. she's ofc wearing smth under that, there's no nudity in this game
don't die, kangel!!
this one may generally be found to be more enjoyable than breakout. it's a shmup where you shoot your fans with meds. i like the art, it's super cute. though i could say about every kangel and ame art in this game
there's a bit of story that's mildly engaging, i found it neat. you're typically here for the gameplay though
the street is just a background, you stay entirely on this screen. you have pills to use as ammo, and your only objective is to not die (like the title tells you). after a few waves of nerds, a boss appears. and there's three bosses to beat
after a wave you get to pick a new pill. picking the same type of pill upgrades it. they're pretty self-explanatory. then it randomly shuffles some of it into your ammo every time you reload. also you reload with RMB, which also lets you dash a bit
it doesn't take that long to beat (this is stage 1's clear screen though). i had a fair bit of fun with this one. you do have to beat the boss, but you can let every other nerd just pass you
kangel's room
this is the credits. the people who worked on the game have stuff to say, so listen properly!!
ame's happy happy dating game
i couldn't screenshot this one properly, so please forgive the clutter. i don't really wanna crop it all so in exchange i offer you uh, you get to see my wallpaper
it's been that for a few months now
ame wants to go on a date with you, so you better choose well!! i think the most interesting part of this game is that it let p-chan monologue their thoughts. they're kinda messed up
ignoring the fact that i only took this screenshot now, you get to pick where you wanna take ame on a date for the next few days
since you get to pick, there's a good and bad ending, naturally. better not give her a bad time, mmkay?
i realized once some cgs showed up that this is where people have been getting those nice ame wallpapers from. the art for the vn is nice, it's really neat and clean, and ame looks super cute. the music is mixed a bit weirdly at times (kangel's theme is so loud) but overall i liked the aesthetic direction here
p-chan is here to give us a description of the world as someone really close to ame. however they describe things reflects how ame sees it. ame is fleshed out so much more than we see her in the base game through p-chan's monologues here (the base game does it great though lemme just clarify). i mean more to say that this format lets people stay and really be with ame past the webcam app on p-chan's screen. it feels a bit dangerous, to occupy the same space as her. and of course it is, ame being who she is. though that goes the same for all humans
i think the bad ending represents a lack of consideration and care one might have towards people. i went for it "just to see what it would be" without regard for how someone might feel about it. it tracks given the conditions for that bad end, too. impulse, disregard, the absence of seeing while doing.
going for the good end kinda feels like a chore, given you have to see everything in the game. though, it's supposed to feel more like a prayer, i think. a connection with ame, of sorts? seeking out and trying to understand her through the places she goes and hearing what she thinks. it might not be something you'd consider pleasant, but few things in life really are. even less so for humans. ame is a human
it's easy to connect with angels, all you need is the internet. i want to connect with human beings, too

I'm on episode 24 of Toradora! and up until now I fully believed Minori genuinely didn't have feelings for Ryuuji lol
Sure, Taiga is her best friend and she insists she does and Ami is a close friend and also insisted, buuuuut Minori said she's never experienced romantic feelings before and doesn't know if she ever will. later on, she wondered if maybe she's attracted to women
Before ep 24 it seems, to me, like she doesn't want Ryuuji to confess his feelings not because she likes him back and knows Taiga likes him (which is also true) but because she doesn't like him and doesn't want to hurt his feelings in addition to knowing Taiga likes him.
The vast majority of the time, Minori wants things to be pleasant and smooth and people to just shrug off their issues, and she prefers to communicate in metaphors rather than face things head on (which makes it ironic she tries to force Taiga to do the same, but i mean everyone's a hypocrite sometimes). It makes sense she doesn't want to have to reject Ryuuji, regardless of whether she likes him back, because it's awkward and serious and "deep"
I feel like having her be aromantic is a much more unique and interesting storyline. all the plot lines still make sense, maybe she also feels a bit odd and alienated because she thinks she should like Ryuuji but she doesn't and everyone around her has crushes on everyone but she doesn't get it. of course, this isn't how it goes, but I can pretend in my heart it is

Horimiya really is the best romance since Toradora!
And it's not just "Toradora! but not quite as good." There are tons of those out there already. No, Horimiya is something else. Instead of being about the long prelude to a relationship, it's about the whole process of a relationship forming, developing, and maturing. It's also a true slice of life, dipping into the lives of its characters rather than putting the characters into a story.
The premise is simple enough. Popular high school girl Kyouko Hori and quiet nerd Izumi Miyamura have no reason whatsoever to interact. An actual nice guy move by Miyamura happens to bring them together when they're showing their private faces. Far from an active social life, Hori spends virtually all her free time on housework. Miyamura has the piercings and tattoos of a delinquent, handily explaining his reserved style of dress at school.
These shared secrets establish an immediate companionship between our title characters. For various reasons, Miyamura continues to visit Hori's house until it becomes a habit. Over several months they get to know each other's quirks, likes, and dislikes. Eventually, this domestic intimacy develops into a young romance. There's no whirlwind here, nor sudden escalation — it's simply the natural next step in their relationship.
Said relationship doesn't develop in isolation. As they grow closer, Miyamura becomes linked in with Hori's social circle, and expands it in turn. Each of their friends is fully realized, experiencing their own desires, disappointments, mistakes, achievements, and growth. Not everyone gets along all the times. Sometimes they hurt each other, or let themselves be hurt. No fundamental attribution error is to be found here. The characters are people, and people have reasons for the things they do and the way they are. If a character is loud and attention-grabbing, there's a reason for that. The same goes for one who is quiet and reserved, rude and confrontational, or kind and overly generous.
Pacing and Storytelling
Horimiya isn't telling a story with a set end goal it needs to speed toward. Moments of high energy exist, but the characters aren't sprinting from situation to situation. They're just going through life, facing the mundane daily struggles and social consternation that comes with it. It doesn't feel obligated to force characters into relationships in order to tie up every loose end, nor is every (or any) character arc implied to have reached some final state. After every milestone comes another day. You know, like in real life.
Art, Animation, and Music
Horimiya's art style is distinct without being over the top. It has slightly uneven lines, giving them an organic feeling. The color allows the important characters to stand out without giving them too many Obvious Anime Protagonist features.
The signature feature is the whited out background and colored character shadows that highlight the small but important events. These moments are rarely if ever high drama, so the background change serves to focus your attention when it's important and clear away any distractions.
The music in Horimiya is strong as well. It makes good use of a handful of incidental tracks, and the OP is well matched with the art and shows off the animators' abilities well.
Horimiya: Piece
The original anime adapted the source material efficiently, focusing on the parts that most closely surround the core relationship. Given the constrained episode count and already sedate pace of the main story, this was the right call. Horimiya: Piece collects several more stories that the original adaptation cut for time.
Conclusion
Horimiya deserves to be a classic. When someone wants to get into anime and they're interested in romance, this is should at least be in the top five, maybe the top two. Not every show needs to tackle big issues like Fruits Basket or wring pathos from irreality like Clannad. When you get down to it, all you need is two characters who brighten each other's lives and all those around them.
Score: 9/10. Watch it.
Recommendation: This is for everyone. No exceptions.
Comparisons
OK, we need to talk about Toradora! There are a number of superficial similarities — the high school romance premise, the shared secrets that launch the story, the misunderstood main characters, and a title created by approximately fusing the principal protagonists' names. When it comes to the important things, however, they could hardly be more different. Toradora! is intense, dramatic, and follows a storyline that traverses distinct steps in getting from each checkpoint to the next. Don't get me wrong, it's full of subtle and quiet moments, but it's the larger-than-life characters and deeply impactful moments that make it what it is. By contrast, Horimiya builds its characters slowly. We learn about them through how they learn about each other, and it's them learning about each other that deepens their relationship. In the end, Toradora! and Horimiya are so different as to not need a head-to-head comparison after all.
Hyouka is another slow-and-steady anime. It shares the slice-of-life high school experience background with Horimiya, but it keeps the cast and premise constrained to the four members of the Classic Literature Club and the mundane mysteries they unravel together. With twice the episode count to work with, it really takes its time with each arc. Like Horimiya, it accents certain important moments with a special artistic flourish. The point of contrast here is that by lacking an extra binding agent pulling the cast together, Horimiya gets to show that sometimes people hang out just because their lives bring them together and they find they like it that way.
One of the things that makes Saekano so great is the way it develops the title character, Megumi. Every other character is a big personality from the start, but Megumi is just a regular person. Instead of having her component tropes announced from a mountaintop, we get to know her by watching how she changes. Somehow, Horimiya pulls this trick with nearly every character. Truly incredible.
Final Thoughts
I have this fantasy, the "what would you do if you won a billion dollars" plan. I would get a degree in English and Japanese, become an English teacher in Japan, and go to Akihabara at least twice a month. Horimiya made me update that fantasy. Now I also want to be the advisor to the anime club at that school so I can get even just one person to watch Horimiya when it matters.
I watched this at the wrong time in my life. Unfortunately, the right time would have been before it came out. I should have read the manga fifteen years ago. The anime should have come out when I was in high school instead of now. If this had hit me at just the right moment I honestly believe it could have changed my life (very much for the better). Who knows, maybe it still will.

say 5 FL that you hate/love the most and the same for ML (hate/love) and why
your 10 favorite manga/anime ever and why?
I will answer you in two parts because this will be long and difficult:
Ok, here we go: my top five of heroines
1, my undisputed number one is JUMI (That Summer) I really love her, she is perfect, honest, strong, sweet etc in a very realistic way, i really think she is the best built character I've ever seen, don't get me wrong she is not the typical manga heroine she is on another level.
2. Touma Kazusa (WA2) she is a little more cliché unlike Jumi, but I still love her, I like that she always knew how to keep her dignity, she was loved, but she made a very realistic decision and she is so incredibly talented and I love how the writer reaffirm it over and over again. She is very loyal to me, and although he understands Setsuna, he always says what she thinks, and although I suffer a lot bc the ending, I am happy because they loved each other.
3. Charlotte Eleonor She is a very coherent character, she is always cold, but straight the point and loyal. I like the way she realizes that she is in love for the first time, but she is not the typical corny one, she is incredible, and I love her relationship with Jeffrey
4. Eba Yuzi (Kimi no iru machi) This is one of my favorite mangas, I've read it a thousand times, and I don't know, I like that despite everything she becomes more honest with what she feels and goes for it no matter what, she's sexy and pretty.
5. An Hao (Bringing the Nation's Husband Home) and Chizuru (Hakuoki) there is a tie, I like both, I love both stories, I have read the manga a million times and I have also seen the Hakuoki anime another million times.
my 5 most hated girls:
Misa (Death note) This woman lacks intelligence and dignity, she is the epitome of the ridiculous.
Sekai (school days) this Fucking bitch...she doesn't deserve more, No words.
Rui ( Domestic no Kanojo) I can't stand this woman, I hate her, she is so easier than the table of one, she's a treacherous bitch, always as a lapdog behind that boy.
Nana Hachi (Nana) This girl is so unbearable, she represents everything I hate in a woman, many people justify her by saying she is immature and she only wants to be loved, she is indecisive, cowardly, spoiled, cheesy like no one else, incapable of being loyal, not even with Nana whom she claims to love till death, she is jealous freak and a crybaby unable to face life without a man by her side (I'm sorry eternal, but I can't stand her)
Taiga Aisaka I can't stand how scandalous this girl is, Toradora is one of the worst things I've started to see, but both leading roles are unbearable for me
Hina (domestic no Kanojo) Hina, in the first 100 chapters she was one of my favorite heroines, but then the mangaka blurred her so much that I found her pathetic. The ending of this manga along with its development is the most awful thing I've seen in a very long time.
the second part is more difficult because there are too many boys that I love.

I just saw this and thought it was kind of neat.
Gakuto Kajiwara was talking about how he became a seiyuu during the first bit. Around 5:40ish, they show a couple of pictures from his time in high school (which he did in Singapore). He looked like a background character in the second shot they showed (when he wasn't on stage performing). Masayoshi Oishi (the host) is quite a big otaku himself, so they were discussing many anime. At first, it was just Dragon Ball, but then they got down to discussing romcoms.
Here are Kajiwara's three rom-com recommendations (I've already heard of and watched 2/3 of them and refuse to watch the other sooooooo yeah):
Oreimo (Ore no Imouto ga konnani kawaii wake ga nai)
Oishi called this one "Our [Kajiwara and his] bible". Kajiwara gave a brief rundown of the synopsis (since Airi Suzuki is not much of an anime otaku yet). Oishi asks Kajiwara for his favourite character. He says Ayase, which is apparently quite rare for the fanbase despite Oishi also saying that's his favourite as well ( she seems to be the anti-otaku character in a very otaku anime). He goes into why he likes Ayase in particular and reveals he likes tsunderes (with this one apparently approaching yandere territory). He then realizes mid-explanation that he may be a masochist. ((Also, I can't believe this anime is 12 years old. I feel old.))
Toradora
You see, this recommendation I can get behind. He describes it as a "odd couple romance you can't take your eyes off of" which is actually very accurate. Oishi said, "THAT'S MY FAVOURITE ANIME!!!" They share a lot of taste. To be fair, Toradora is great (but I feel like I'd like it less on rewatch). Kajiwara gives another synopsis, and Airi says she might actually like that anime. Oishi, of course, asks who his favourite character is. He says Taiga to which he says they share a favourite character. They talk about how she's rough on the outside but has a beautiful heart on the inside makes their hearts flutter. Personally, I'm more of a Minorin fan myself.
Kanojo Okarishimasu
After a brief rundown, Oishi talked about the Twitter campaign they had when the anime was first released where you could hear the characters answer the phone if you called a certain number or something along those lines. Oishi said, "I called that number around 30 times." Airi responded, "I think I would too if they had a hot male voice on the other side, so I think I understand." The seiyuu fandom exists partially on that kind of idea, so it's definitely not rare. Since Oishi and Kajiwara share a lot of favourite characters, they decided to both say their favourite character from this series at the same time. They both said Sumi-chan which goes against their past picks since Sumi is not a tsundere and is more of the embarrassed and shy type. I can see why people like her. I think she's very sweet and cute but definitely trapped in the wrong series since KanoKari turns into a dumpster fire.
Fun fact: Kajiwara has starred with Sumi's voice actress, Rie Takahashi, recently in Romantic Killer which is probably one of my favourite recent romcoms!

Anime Update V3 15
From Me To You - Now everyone in school believes that Sawako's smile is a blessing of good fortune, sort of like Taiga that one time in Toradora. Sawako is now close enough to her new friends to call them all by their first names, except she's unable to do the same for Kazehaya. Pin forces Kazehaya to be a committee member for the upcoming sports festival, and we're more properly introduced to Ume Kurumizawa, his territorial and possessive middle school friend we'd been seeing for the past few episodes. Shit's about to go down.
Hunter x Hunter - Shoot and Knuckle are still fighting Youppi.
SHUFFLE! - That's what that was all about? Sia has Dissociative Identity Disorder and could take on the personality of her stillborn twin sister, Kikyou? This certainly added a whole new layer to what I'd been seeing and made the fallout of Sia and Rin's deranged date all the more interesting, but if I had a complaint it'd be that it seems just a little redundant of what we just did with Nerine and Lycoris. The whole "absorbing her memories and essence" (while in the womb) angle was unnecessary - I'd much rather it be left ambiguous if the Kikyou persona really WAS her or just another personality of Sia she formed based on the idea of what her sister would've been like.
The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II - Waver actually got to meet with his old abusive mentor Kayneth in a dream, but it seemed good for finally getting him back up. Hephaestion and Gray took shelter from the raging snowstorm together and seemed to make a closer connection before Hephaestion parted ways with Gray. Adashino then gathereds all of the guests and accuses Karabo of being the one who murdered Trisha. Waver intervened and contested her theory, but Rail Zeppelin comes out in support of her and forcibly removes Karabo's Mystic Eyes for the auction per their agreement.
KonoSuba - Of course Vanir is immediately revealed to be alive due to one of his extra lives, now disbarred from the Devil King's army and working with Wiz at her store. He sells Kazuma a kotatsu that he refuses to come out from and harasses Darkness and Megumin when they try to get him out, but then like a Family Guy episode this stops being the focus and it instead becomes about the party fighting a bunch of lizard monsters and Kazuma dying and meeting with Eris once again as he begins to grow feelings for the friendly goddess.
K-On! - Yui got so busy practicing on her new guitar that she ended up not studying for her midterms exam and flunked it big time. So she must pass the makeup exam or else she will be barred from club activies, including being part of the Light Music Club band. All the ways her friends had to help her keep focus on her studies were amusing to watch, as is their continued interplay with each other and the comedic antics and reactions of Ritsu in particular. We also got to meet Ui, Yui's younger sister who's actually more mature and put together than her big sister is. In the end Yui just barely managed to ace the makeup exam, so the band doesn't have to have a break up!
Eureka Seven - Eureka finally told the whole story of her time with Adroc Thurston and how he gave up his life to protect her and the Scub Coral, to keep in-tact the planet that Dewey now seeks to eviscerate for the sake of reshaping the world of humans in his totalitarian image. And speaking of, he pulls a coup on the Council of Sages, with the councilwoman surrendering control to him after he's killed the other two, meaning Dewey is now the ruler of the world!
Air - Kano is revealed to possess strange magic powers, which briefly changed the surroundings of Yukito and Misuzu. Yukito later listens in on a really strange, uncomfortable conversation that Kano's older sister is having, but not much is made of it. Then at one point, Potato goes missing and has to be searched for by Yukito, Miszusu, and Kano all together. We get more cuteness and innocent wistfulness from Miszusu, and of course we had to get at least one scene with Michiru in there (though I really think that if this show had been dubbed later, they'd totally have cast David Matranga and Hilary Haag as Yukito and Michiru rather than Vic Mignogna and Serena Varghese - they just have THAT sort of dynamic going on.) Then we end on yet another, stranger and more disturbing Kano moment! Yikes! What the actual fuck is going on with this girl?

Hi!
It’s me again.
Since my last post I’ve gained 2 likes which I’m really grateful.Thank you for the support.
Now that I’m thinking,I don’t know what to talk about, but If you have questions about a topic or you just want an opinion about something,I’m here.
Well,I can tell you about what I like…for the start.
I like anime. They gave me such an amazing feeling that nothing else compares to it.It’s true that I just watched 2 series;first Toradora and second Attack on Titan. And I also watched a movie but I can’t remember its name so…
Of course I like k-dramas.They’re beautiful.
I like music,but sometimes it’s giving me a headache.
I love stickers, but I never use them, because It feels like I’m waisting them.
I hate math, but I stayed up till 4 a.m. to practice for my exam, and I actually liked it.
And the last thing for tonight is that I hate writing in every way, even tho I’m sitting in my bed right now thinking about what words to use to express my own thoughts and feelings right.
I feel like tonight I gave a lesson to me and also for you.And the end conclusion is that even tho you dislike some things that may be hard for you to accomplish or they’re just not it,you can still find comfort in them. They can heal you when you don’t expect them to.The same goes for people too,but don’t worry.I know that when it’s just too much it becomes toxic and don’t blame you for that.In the end we have to accept that no one is to REALLY blame. It’s just a dirty pleasure that you can’t seem to get rid of it.Everyone went through something like this,so don’t forget that you’re not alone in this.DON’T OVERTHINK IT.
Have a great day guys!

So, i always will be traumatized for the wrong part of Toradora fandom, why? Well...
When i ended up the anime, i was super in love with it, so obviously i went to the fandom, to see what other people were thinking about Toradora! And... holy sh*t so many commentaries, with so many likes, saying things like "Taiga is a terrible person i hate her!", "Taiga is terribly written, and super annoying, she shouldn't be with Ryuuji", "Ryuuji should stay with Minorin or Kawashima!" "This is ending was bullsh*t! Why did she goes away?"
I was shocked, really shocked, i mean, i thought that the history made very interesting messages, but a lot of ppl didn't take it, but it was so clear, at least for me?
About Ryuuji liking Minorin... bruh, one of the main point of the series, is the difference between loving someone because the imagem that you have about them, and loving someone for who they are. The second one is literally Ryuuji and Taiga relationship!!! Ryuuji only didn't perceived that he was in love with her, because his thought of love is putting someone on a pedestal, thinking of someone as perfect, but with Taiga was'nt like that, he fell for all who she is, and this is why i love this anime so much.
And the most annoying one is "They're more like brothers"... HOW? Because they're close? Because they keep going to each other houses? Because they don't keep blushing everytime that they speak with each other? Because they don't keep fantasing about each other? Because they don't put each other in a pedestal? Holy sh*t... The history is literally about their platonic relationship evolving to a romantic one... maybe if Taiga or Ryuuji kept talking about each other as the same way they talked of Minorin or Kitamura, iit would be more believable that they are in love 😒.
And last, the people who complained about them getting togheter, for the sake of god, this is a romance, the protagonists always end up with each other.
Well, that's it, i entered in the cursed part of the fandom, and i'm still scared until today 😃. If it was one or two, but since it was like more than two thousand ppl i got really frustrated...
#toradora#toradora rant#more a#toradora fandom rant#i didn't realized that so many ppl were pissed of with this anime 😶#for no reason#bc seriously#the main couple developed their relationship basically the entire anime#and this is so cool!#i hate these romances where the characters don't know nothing about each other#where they fell for their shells#normalize platonic love evolving to a romantic one#a romantic love all of sudden doesn't even make sense#i know that a lot of these ppl only didn't want Ryuuji to get with Taiga#bc they dislike her 🙄#i understand disliking taiga#but saying that she is terribly written?#NO!#anyways stan taiga x ryuuji#and minorin x kawashima#i got annoyed so i needed to write this#how they can miss all the points of the anime?#sorry for my english#again

The end of summer in my sketchbook:
one day in august i went on a bike trip with my brother; we didn’t do anything like that in ages and it was so so nice i almost cried
and then mid-september i had my friends over for the weekend and we did a roadtrip to the most beautiful national park in our country and it was such a lovely and calm and cozy time. i love having my friends over at my place. i’d love to do it more. having people over.
also started this habit of randomly pasting fanarts i love in between my drawings. i like how it somewhat works together and it warms my heart having them close like this somehow. i still can’t get over the promised neverland; i’m a sucker for stories about friendship and the found family trope and this story has everything and is so beautiful and i love it to bits and don’t ever wanna stop. same goes for toradora. that was also a little too much for my soft innocent heart.
i’m dreaming about tight hugs and holding hands and soft and warm kind of love.
and i’m constantly feeling like i’m too old for everything i’m dreaming of having in this life even though i’m not even thirty yet

You know until you pointed them out during these livebloggs i really didn't notice all the problems in vigilante writting, i don't know how, maybe i turned my brain off while reading it because i love mha and really wanted to love something else set in the same universe.
There's nothing wrong with that, I do that all the time as well, I just have that little problem where I reaaaally like to point out problems and over-analyze things in stories that I like.
There are a lot of series out there that I know have a lot of writing problems, and I simply choose to ignore those problems because I love them, and that's absolutely fine as a way of consuming a piece of media. If it entertains you already then you don't need to go ahead picking on its flaws and weakness, people are allowed to decide to overlook minor problems if they want to, like I did with Toradora; One of my favorite series of all time, I absolutely love it, the romance, the character development everyone goes through, the mature takes on love and growing up, I love it so much regardless of the fact that Taiga was a really obnoxious asshole when the story started, and that it was pretty much never acknowledged because tsundere.
I'll just go ahead and say it to everyone here: don't take my annoying comments about the story as some sort of "this is bad and you shouldn't like it" type of message, because, like I said, I do like Vigilantes, it just so happened that it was one of the unfortunate series I decided to pull a cinema sins on as a misguided way of showing my love.

Kaguya-Sama: Love is War: Season 1 Reflection
Ever since I first got into anime, rom-coms have been near the top of my favorite genres. I never used to be a romance guy, but the way anime explores love and relationships and romantic chemistry sucked me in from the first episode of Toradora and hasn’t let go since. When a show does a love story right, nothing else even comes close for me. So it’s no surprise I’ve ended up enjoying Kaguya-Sama as much as I have. Even so, though, I get the feelings that this show has only just gotten started. Season 1 has been a fun ride, but only in the final couple episodes did it really start to show how well it knew what it was doing. We’ve still got a long way to go with Kaguya, Shirogane and everyone else, still lots of story left to tell and lots of layers left to unravel. And considering how well it’s set the stage for things to come, I couldn’t be more excited to see where it goes from here. Something tells me that by the time Kaguya-Sama is over, it will have accomplished things that few anime rom-coms manage to accomplish, reached heights that few manage to reach. There’s potential here for a show that’s not just good, but genuinely great and timeless. Only time will tell if it fulfills that potential, but it’s going to be incredibly fun watching it try.
But that can all wait for the future. For now, the first season is testament enough to Kaguya-Sama’s strengths as a show. Over the course of twelve episodes, it seamlessly transitions from a character-driven comedy to a comedy-driven character piece, never losing its hilarious edge even as its tackles increasingly weighty arcs and emotions. The over-the-top antics of a rom-com Light and L relationship are hilarious enough on their own, but once the show starts digging into what makes them tick as people, it gives those antics a real sense of purpose. The same personality traits and hang-ups that inform the interpersonal comedy are eventually leveraged to inform the interpersonal drama just as effectively, and never once do the jokesters fighting over who says “I love you” first feel separate from the fragile kids navigating their way through painful neuroses and unfair personal circumstances. The comedy informs the drama, which in turn makes the comedy richer and more complete. That’s the mark of really good character writing; it can make you laugh your ass off or feel all the feels without denigrating either emotion. Kaguya’s characters are funny and endearing, ridiculous and human, simple and approachable yet surprisingly multifaceted once you get to know them. And they ably carry the show on their backs whether they’re ticking funny bones or pulling at heartstrings.
Beyond that strong writing, though, Kaguya-Sama’s greatest strength is that it’s just fun to watch. Almost every joke lands, almost every episode has at least one all-time-great laugh line, and it’s constantly finding new ways to keep its formula fresh. It’s cast is relatively small, but they’re all versatile enough to keep switching up the kinds of jokes it tells. You’ve got hilarious deadpan comedy from Hayasaka, entertaining overcomplicated plans from Kaguya, solid punching pag energy from Ishigami, overly serious brilliance from Shirogane, and complete and utter chaos from our lord and savior Chika. With all these fantastic personalities clashing and the chemistry that forms between them, there’s never a dull moment in the whole show. And the insane, over-the-top visual flourishes only enhance the straightfaced lunacy that much more. Even if Kaguya-Sama remained a straightforward comedy all the way through, I could watch it for years without getting bored of it. The fact it’s able to transition so seamlessly into drama as well, without losing the comedic edge that makes it so damn entertaining, it just icing on the cake.
Sure, it’s got its faults. The show’s treatment of gender roles left a bad taste in my mouth on more than one occasion, and I could’ve done without the occasional obtrusive fanservice. But coming out of season 1, the emotion I’m most filled with is excitement. If this is Kaguya-Sama’s start line, then I can’t wait to see how good it gets from here. So for setting the stage so well for things to come and being plenty entertaining in its own right, I give Kaguya-Sama’s first season a score of:
7.5/10
And now, on to season 2. See you next time!

Toradora
Genre: Romance and Comedy
Episodes: 25
Personal ranking: 9/10
If you are looking for a beautiful and funny story on how high schoolers fall in love, then Toradora is the way to go.
The story goes about Ryuuji and Taiga, both in their second year of high school. Both main characters are known by their classmates as troublemakers, Ryuuji for having a serious face that makes people think he is always in a bad mood, and Taiga for being overly aggressive and defiant despite her petite body.
Since they end up in the same class and are next door neighbors, they become close fast enough, and that friendship is also fired by both of them being in love with each other's best friends. Taiga has been in love with Yusaku, who is Ryuuji’s best friend, since their first year of high school. He is a great student, part of the school board, and class president. And Ryuuji is in love with Minori, who happens to be Taigas best friend, the softball team captain and has an always full of energy personality.
As both of our protagonist realize they have an opportunity with Minori and Yusaku as long as they help each other, they decide to work together to make their move and win the love of their best friends. Yet, this is not easy to achieve, since they find new challenges every day.
Everything becomes clearer for some of our characters when Ami, a childhood friend of Yusaku appears, and makes a move on Ryuuji. This is when the beginning of the real love story takes place, and we enjoy of all the classical romance episodes like the beach trip and the high school festival, all of them directing us to the realization of each of the five main characters of whom they really love and how they will work to gain that persons love.
