Arthur Leclerc x reader

Synopsis: After a bad day, Arthur just wants to make you feel all better

(He’s such a cute, lil smiley boyyyyy 😍)

You woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you felt down and depressed all day for no reason. Unfortunately, Arthur wasn’t around and wouldn’t be back for another 3 days. All you wanted to do was cuddle up and watch movies with him.

You stayed on the couch, drowning in your favourite hoodie of Arthur’s, watching your comfort tv show. You heard the door at the front of the apartment unlock, keys jangling as the door was pushed open. You pulled the baseball bat out from under the couch and crept over to the wall next to the hallway.

You heard shoes being toed off, sock padded feet slowly walking down the hallways. You waited for the footsteps to come closer before you stepped out from the wall. You swung the bat.

“OHHH HOLY SHIT BABY ITS ME” Arthur screamed in his Monegasque accent. You immediately dropped the bat, “oh my god, Arty! You’re not suppose to be here for 3 days!” Arthur smirked when he said “I know. I wanted to surprise you, gorgeous”

Tears sprung to your eyes and you buried yourself in your boyfriend. Your arms wrapped around his neck, your nose pressing against his jugular as you deeply inhaled his cologne. Arthur’s hands firmly wrapped around your waist, he kissed your temple and leaned his head against yours.

He felt teardrops on his collarbone, prompting him to let go for a second. He found you with wet eyes, teardrop stains down your cheeks. “Bèbè, what’s wrong?” Arthur pouted. He raised his hand and wiped your tears. You made eye contact with him and the flood gates opened.

You weren’t sad about anything in particular, you just started babbling about anything and everything. Arthur guided you to the couch and sat down, pulling you on top of him and he laid down. Your legs ended up in either side of his body, your chin rested on his chest, your noses nearly bumping.

Arthur let you get it all out, contently listening. After you finished, Arthur extended his neck and pecked your lips. “It’s ok to feel like this, love” you kissed him again “thank you Arty” you had cried yourself to exhaustion, he could see your eyes started to droop. He pulled the couch blanket over you both as he watched you fall asleep.

“Good night, my love” he said as he kissed your nose, “I love you, bad day or good day, I don’t care.” You lazily smile and confessed “I love you” back to him, drifting off to sleep. Arthur followed you not long after.

You turn to face him, “Makes me think of the time he accused me of cheating.”

“He accused you of cheatin’? When?”

It was years ago, right after your 21st birthday. Joel and Tommy took you and a couple of your friends out to a club in downtown Austin. You took so many shots, you ended up dancing a bit too close with Joel. It led to a fight you had never brought up to Joel himself, but nonetheless, Tommy thought you had a thing for his older brother.

Sure, Joel was nice. He was a bit more serious than Tommy, always the rational one. He was an excellent and present father, dedicating his entire life to raising Sarah. He had similar features to Tommy. Tall, dark hair, beautiful brown eyes. When you talked to him, those eyes of him were so lazer focused on what you said, sometimes you found yourself stumbling over your words.

Maybe it was a little crush.

“It was years ago,” You confess, looking down at your bitten back cuticles, “He thought I had a thing for you.”

His eyes zero in on your lips, like he’s trying to take the words out of your mouth, one by one.

“A thing? What type of thing?”

You shake your head, pushing your face into your hands.

“He thought you and I had a bit too much fun on my 21st, I don't know! He always acted so weird when I even mentioned you. You’re like my brother, I would never cross that line.”

The silence in the room was deafening. You finally raise your head, looking at Joel’s contemplative face.

“Never?”

You stare at him, looking for a smile to crack across his face. Like it was a joke or something.

But it wasn’t.

The air in the room shifted.

“Joel,” You mumble, before his fingers trace your bottom lip gently and slowly, “We can’t.”

“Why ‘cause I’m like your brother, or ‘cause you’re still banking on kissin’ and makin’ up with Tommy?”

It was a fair question. Making up with Tommy was never even a question, though. After being burned so harshly, you didn’t see any redemption. He was done for.

So what could you lose from giving into one of your secret fantasies?

“You can’t tell him,” You murmur, making sure it’s in a whisper, “Ever.”

DEMYA (HALF-ORC)

Demya would be curious at the sight of half-orc child MC, having never seen an orc in her entire life, however she would feel admiration towards their race as they are prone to fighting, they would remind her in a certain sense of her own race (fauxsaeva) and she would like to discover more curiosities through half-orc child MC. Demya would coo over half-orc child MC's tusks, finding them adorable and would compare them with her thicker and pointer fangs, perfect for tearing meat, she would also be curious to see how half-orc child MC eats, so Demya would often share her snacks with them, only treats though, because her main and perhaps sometimes bloody meals could be too much for half-orc child MC. Furthermore, Demya would love to play fight with half-orc child MC, as they are quite powerful and resistant for their age, that way she wouldn't necessarily have to worry about risking harming them accidentally

DOMNRA/MOBIM (CAMBION)

Domnra wouldn't be too surprised by a cambion child MC, it's not that rare for a demon and a human to fall in love, hell he's seen it happen several times, both in Devildom and on Earth despite himself, so it would be logical to finally see, at least once, a demon half-breed appear. Domnra would feel some kind of connection to cambion child MC, both for their demonic side, a trait they would have in common, and in a certain sense for their feeling in half, given that his soul was literally split in half and then shared by two beings, i.e. Domnra and Mobim, while child MC is half-human and half-demon. Therefore Domnra would defend cambion child MC if someone bothered them regarding their lineage and would help cambion child MC to get more in tune with their demonic side, in short to control it. Mobim would sense cambion child MC's nature, but honestly for the little curse child MC could be anything and it would accept them either way, because that's what true family is supposed to do. In the end Mobim and cambion child MC would become good friends/sibilings

AZUL (HALF-FAE)

Azul would be genuinely surprised at the sight of a half-fae child MC, with features and appearance similar to those of a nymph or a fairy, aware that it's a rather rare and difficult race to come across, therefore he would show enthusiasm at the sight of them and probably he would ask half-fae child MC some questions, especially to check if some of their powers are similar or not. Considering that half-fae child MC would probably be very attached to nature, Azul would take them to lie down in some flowery meadows, a habit of when Azul was still an angel, while his familiars, blue morpho butterflies, would flutter around them, as if they were in a classic Disney movie. Azul would also let half-fae child MC experiment with painting, making nice portraits of each other, after all he would find their fae traits inspiring. Azul would try to find out if half-fae child MC had the ability of imposing their will and controlling other people by obtaining their names, because no matter how convenient and fun it might sound, it would still be a problem if such thing happened, so Azul would use himself as an example of bad influence, meaning that half-fae child MC should't try to mimic the bullshit or pranks he pulls off (but in his heart, Azul would be proud-)

ZURI (HALF-SIREN)

Zuri would be intrigued from a biological point of view by half-siren child MC, wanting to understand how such a union could have happened, given the significantly different anatomy, however she would do research on her own rather than asking half-siren child MC personally, after all Zuri wouldn't know their family situation or conception, it could be a sensitive topic. Zuri would also note that half-siren child MC would be a sea variant siren and not an air one similar to an harpy. Zuri would make sure to get either a small pool or a large water case in which half-siren child MC could swim to their heart's content and stay hydrated, perhaps also adding decorationd such as algae, pearls, shells and corals, to make ambience more pleasant and aquarium like. Zuri would aid half-siren child MC in taking care of their skin by moisturizing their scattered fish scales and help them use their powers responsibly, such as their siren song ability, similar to Zuri's hypnosis

ODON (HALF-ELDRITCH)

Odon is an ancient eldritch abomination, so much so that they don't exactly remember the circumstances of their birth or creation, so they have experienced many events during the course of their long life, however Odon would have to admit that it would be the first time they have ever encountered a half-eldritch, especially so young, so it would be a new pleasant experience for Odon to meet half-eldritch child MC and possibly become friends. Odon would find interesting that a human would even consider having a child with a eldritch horror, since they aren't exactly known for their friendliness, helpfulness, or parenting skills, in general it's not recommended for humans to deal with such entities, so Odon would find delightful knowing that there are other eldritch beings tame enough to consider forming such unions, at least they hope. Half-eldritch child MC wouldn't have to fear showing their eldritch side to Odon, because it would have no effect on them, moreover Odon would be able to worry less about their own form being seen, because as a half-eldritch, if child MC were to see Odon's face under their bangs, perhaps they would just get nausea or a headache. Odon would be a good mentor for half-eldritch child MC, teaching them how to control their most abominable side, they would allow half-eldritch child MC to have a friend with whom they can be their true self, after all Odon knows what it means to be alone

REMIEL (HALF-ANGEL)

Remiel would be aware of how rare it is to find half-angels like herself, since the Celestial Council usually does not approve such sins of creation and depending on whether or not those half-breed children disturb balance, they are mostly simply repudiated or directly abandoned to die to their fate, therefore at the sight of half-angel child MC, Remiel would be a little surprised and at the same time she would feel a certain bond with them on a deeper level, a soft of kinship. At the beginning probably both half-angel child MC and Remiel would analyze each other in silence with a curious gaze, tilting their heads from side to side like a lost puppy, over time though, considering that half-angel child MC has most likely suffered discrimination due to their heritage as well, they would quickly grow attached to Remiel and take shelter under her much larger feathery wings. During her long existence, Remiel has become numb to certain things, such as mocks or taunts, believing them to be true from a logical point of view, however half-angel child MC's case would be different from her situation and the angel of death would like them to feel safe for once, because it would be what they deserve. Being somber yet blunt, Remiel would have no problem softly explaining to upset conservative angels that since balance allowed half-angel child MC to be born, they have the right to exist. Nathaniel would be aware that there are different races and that crossbreeding can occasionally occur, however he would be surprised and intrigued by the compatibility between a human and a dragon, which would apparently result in draconic bloodline and half-dragon child MC's birth. Nathaniel would find dragons fascinating creatures, thinking of them as wise, honorable and free, therefore he would show interest in half-dragon child MC's dragon traits, such as wings, tail or horns, taking care they do not get hurt during the day, since they could be cumbersome while moving around, Nathaniel would also apply some herbal creams to half-dragon child MC's skin in the areas where their scales begin, such as cheeks or arms, to avoid skin irritation or dryness. One of the times Nathaniel would actually be caught off guard would be if half-dragon child MC, depending on their powers, risked burning, electrifying, or freezing his face off during a sneeze, which would then surprisingly make Nathaniel laugh

URIEL (DEMIGOD)

Uriel at the beginning, as a warrior angel serving the Celestial Realm, would be skeptical in believing in other deities, given that god (Father) is the only entity who she has always served and praised together with other angels, therefore she might not immediately believe demigod child MC, she would need proof of them being the offspring of a deity and a human, but once obtained, Uriel would be astonished, because it would go against what she was taught to believe. Once she comes to terms with the half-divine nature of child MC, Uriel would like to test demigod child MC's skills, their resilience and would be quite amazed and proud of what they are capable of accomplish. Uriel would then teach demigod child MC that with great power comes great responsibility and that they should only use their powers to seek justice and fight for the innocent. Moreover Uriel wouldn't tell demigod child MC, but due to her strict education and discipline, she might find the relationship between human and deity sacrilegious, still Uriel would try to overcome her prejudices for demigod child MC's sake

Elisa had been walking to the library one afternoon when she decided to take a little detour through the courtyard. The sun was up and the weather was just the slightest bit chilled, but with all her robes on she was perfectly comfortable. As she walked past, however, a soft acoustic melody and faint singing caught her attention. She followed the sound of it, nosy as to who it belonged to. As she peeked around the corner, she found the source: a boy with messy dirty blonde hair—who she recognized. This was her Herbology partner, Liam. He was a Gryffindor in 7th year who she met in class—they bonded over both being born into Muggle families. She glanced at him to see a guitar resting on his lap, his fingers dancing over the strings effortlessly, his head bobbing to the rhythm as his voice floated through the air—smooth, rich, and full of feeling.

She watched for a moment, entranced. He was so caught up in the music that he didn’t notice her approach. Elisa stepped closer to him until she got much closer as she allowed herself sway to the melody. When Liam reached the end of his song and strummed the last chord, she couldn’t help but clap her hands together, her face lighting up. “That was brilliant!”

Liam, whose eyes went wide, nearly jumped out of his skin, his head whipping around to see his classmate a year below him. “Merlin’s beard, Elisa! I didn’t… I didn’t see you there!” His cheeks flushed a deep shade of red as he hastily set the guitar down. “Uh… how much of that did you hear?”

“Enough to know you’re incredible at it,” Elisa said, her eyes bright with admiration. “You’re really talented, Liam!”

His face grew even redder, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips as he rubbed the back of his neck. “Oh, um… thanks. I was just… messing around. Didn’t think anyone would hear me.” He cleared his throat. “You really liked what I played that much?” He asked, trying to look nonchalant despite his blush.

“I loved it!” she exclaimed, her enthusiasm making his heart skip a beat. “You’ve got a real gift. I have always thought it was amazing when someone can play an instrument or sing—and you can do both!”

Liam chuckled, his shoulders relaxing as he met her gaze. “Well, I don’t really play in front of people much. Usually just, you know, for myself.” His eyes softened. “But… if you want, you can stay. I could… play a bit more, if you’d like.”

Elisa’s face lit up, her excitement palpable. “Really? I’d love that!” She eagerly sat down, making room for herself next to him on his seat. She looked at him expectantly now, her energy reminding him of the sun itself. Hufflepuffs.

Liam’s heart raced at her closeness, and he couldn’t help but smile as he picked up his guitar again, his fingers finding the chords with practiced ease. She didn’t seem to be bothered in the slightest by sitting next to him, but he rolled with it. As his fingers danced over the strings once more, he couldn’t help but feel grateful that she had stumbled upon him. He couldn’t deny he enjoyed her bright energy and he did enjoy their talks in class as he really didn’t personally know too many Muggle borns, but something about her was different. She was warm, welcoming from the moment he met her.

Maybe he would offer to play for her more often and, maybe, ask to escort her to Hogsmeade one of these days. He thought it might be nice to see her excited over candy or something, after all.

To giving her his flight jacket because gods forbid Violet be cold for the 2-3 minutes they would’ve stood in formation!

Chapter 35 was such a GIFT! I️ loved it so much! From Mira and Xaden shelving their dislike for each other for V’s sake and just mother henning her! Loved Xaden taking care of her and reaffirming that she can be upset at the threat against her hair and the autonomy she would have been robbed of, had Aetos actually cut it. I️ love how gentle he was, making sure she was okay, even arguing with Tairn about it on the flight home because their whole dynamic in canon is just over protective dragon meets over protective enemy to mutually assured destruction to lovers, and amari give us mercy that Violet gets injured around either one of them.

I️ was so shocked and legit almost cried at the confession because bby boy X was NOT letting her think that he didn’t love her! Really gives a whole “Aretia could burn and I️ wouldn’t care as long as I️ had you.” vibe to it and I️. Am. Not. Okay!!! I️ am not normal or sane about this love confession! V is getting some HONESTY out of this man without having to jump through 5 million hoops or questions about it. X really just said it with both tiddies and his full chest!!

I️ also really loved the display of Rhi and Xaden’s conversation. He knows how much Rhi means to Violet, and having her best friend with her is the best thing for her! I’m so nervous and excited to see if you include a convo with the rest of the squad about her torture sessions and just showing how much they all love her! Cam was right! Everyone who knows Violet Sorrengail is a little bit in love with her!!

I’m curious if Violet is gonna think about how she basically begged for her mom to come with them to Aretia, when she was freed and I️ wonder what Xaden would have done if Lilith had actually planned to go with her daughter… thoughts and theories I️ suppose!!

God Alli, there are so many little things about this chapter that I️ adored and so little time to write about it! I LOVE this fic so much that I️ always am ready to read the next chapter immediately! So ready!! I️ hope this doesn’t pressure you too much but I️ did want to say that I️ adore this fic so much!! 10/10 would highly recommend!!

POPPING CHAMPAGNE BOTTLES WE DID IT!!!!! (140 hours later asgshdhdh)

That was a solid finale. A lot more hopeful than I was anticipating - but that falls in line with the rest of the game! And I enjoy a happy ending. 😌 I could have done with a post-ending or post-credits scene (I think a simple glimpse of your Rook, with their LI if they had one, in the new world they fought for would have grounded it nicely.)

As a Solas fan, I couldn’t be happier. It’s funny to me that while it seems DATV converted a lot of fans, it made me relish hating this man’s guts more than I ever did in DAI. 😂 And I’ve yet to watch the bad endings, but LOWKEY my favorite among the good endings is the one where you trick him with the fake dagger. GOD THAT WAS SATISFYING. (Sollavelan ending could have benefited from them meeting at least once prior to the literal last second imo, giving them more breathing room. I didn’t hate it but it could have been better!)

I am STILL relishing in Solas’ ace-attorney-witness-breaking-down last words: “I AM A GOD!!!!” lmmmaaooooo OH SO NOW YOU’RE A GOD? Shut the fuck uuuup!! Time portal fuckery is a general outline rn. Its also less about a time portal and more about a dimensional one because my idea changed *immediately.* but it starts with establishing that 09 ghost, soap, and gaz *hate* the mirrors on base. Generally creeped out, seeing shadowy figures, etc. Mirrors off-base are fine, so they default to hauntings. Roach is like "y'all're stupid. Ghosts arent real. Well, one is."

Eventually one day a shadowy figure is hanging out too long while theyre all in there. It's ghosts size and shape but not following him. He reaches to touch the glass and maybe lightning strikes the base or something and the lights shut off. Theyre knocked to the ground.

When they come to, theyre in the 22 universe. Roach was dragged along even though he has no alternate version because hes my fav and this fic was an excuse for me to have him around *6* big beefy dudes i ship him with rather than the regular 3. I was also interested in exploring the interactions between them and how the ghosts / soaps would deal with the shift in power dynamic and the gazes being like 'oi what the devil?'

This is where the outline stops and random ramblings begin lol

To my understanding the gazes also have personality differences that would be cool to explore.

Lots of 09 ghost + roach calling 22 soap captain (much to his amusement and 09 soap's dismay. But 22 soap being a sergeant also gets on his nerves.)

22 ghost getting reprimanded by 09 soap and not being able to take things seriously.

The 22 crew learning that they like roach

22 Price being like "fuck. This has more than doubled the number of idiots i need to take care of"

The ghosts confiding in each other about their shared traumas and taking comfort in that.

Roach being uncomfortable and alone knowing he doesnt have a double. Is it weirder to just *not* have one, or to have a dead one? Does he try to find out if 22 roach ever existed? If 22 gary sanderson just isnt in the sas/military?

22 soap wishing he had more power/agency in the power structure? 09 wishing he had less?

09 soap relieved to see price alive and well, even if it isnt *his* price

It would also be interesting to explore implications of 09 gaz and 22 gaz changing ethnicity. Im not sure im qualified to handle this/its not my place to handle the topic, but writing unfamiliar topics/perspectives (respectfully with lots of research, good intentions, and a thorough examination of ones own internal biases) is good to do. Maybe more from 09 gaz's perspective, since i am also of the mayo variety.

But like. How would their upbringings differ? How did this impact their personality differences? Opportunities? Their path to getting on the SAS? How were they treated differently? How does 09 feel about this--any guilt? Any other discomfort? Maybe he/the other 09 crew learn a lesson about how they can still hold bigoted ideas/cause harm without actively feeling hatred. How about 22 gaz?Any jealousy? How does him being thankful for/proud of the experiences, challenges overcome, and accomplishments as a black man mesh with that? Is 22 gaz better off than 09 in any way that leads to more complex feelings/themes? Are they treated differently by their teams? (Not that the others are racist [bold claim for a western military propaganda game, i know. But for the sake of fanfic being a fun, safe place], but just. Different personalities = different interactions.)

I love 22 gaz. He doesnt get enough attention! Not even from the actual marketing stuff even though he's awesome. I need to write more fics centering him--i try to include him as much as possible in my fics that dont, though.

Also, did i mention roach being around twice the big military dudes? I really like that part.

TAEIL v. DOKYEOM?? Well, it should come as no surprise to anyone but the answer is Moon Taeil. I adore that man with my whole being (I hope he's recovering and resting well rn). Lee Seokmin is very important to me too, but he was up against my moon man and stood no chance. Sorry, DK 💔

3. If you were to spend the day with either 3 or 1, who would you choose and what would you do?

I have to pick between Kim Jongin and Byun Baekhyun??? This game is rude 😒 but ofc I'm choosing Baekhyun. Mel had a really cute answer to this that I'm not going to be able to compare to. But I feel like Baek just needs a break. So I'd probably choose to do something chill (I say as tho I wouldn't be a basket case and like I can speak Korean). Maybe go to a coffee place, preferably one with baked goods, near a park or a river and just take our coffee (and pastries) to a nice spot to chill and talk. Maybe get some pizza for lunch. Play some video games (truthfully I'd probably just watch HIM play since I only play single player games due to being shit at them). Idk 🤷‍♀️ I'm bad at this lmao

4. What is your favorite physical feature about 9?

HIS SMILE!! I know he's known for his sad eyes while singing but COME ON!! LOOK AT HIM 🥺 (yes, I'm stealing mel's idea of including a picture, but mostly bc more people should know and love Donghun)

5. What is your favorite part of 6's personality?

Dokyeom is like the literal embodiment of sunshine. He is so bright and happy!! You can tell he loves life and finds joy in little things. His laughter and smile is such a serotonin boost! I know that he feels and thinks about things deeply and can be a little (a lot) hard on himself. But he's got this big, big heart. I just love how full of light he is, yk?

7. Between 1 and 2, whose closet would you raid?

Why do I feel like neither Baekhyun nor Taeil have much that I would want to raid from their closets? 🤔 idk that I pay that close attention to their own personal styles either tbh. I think I'm picking Baek tho. I don't have a great reason other than I know he's always wearing these oversized things. And oversized clothes are cozy 🤷‍♀️ I'm stealing one of that man's hoodies and keeping it for the rest of my life thanks so much

8. What is a style that you want to see 3 try?

I don't feel like I have any notes for Mr. Gucci. Jongin has a much better grasp on fashion than I do. AND he's done pretty much everything and can pull off the craziest things.

If we're saying between a.c.e's music and monsta x's tho...?? I *think* I'm choosing a.c.e's, but kihyun's solos are so good 😭😭 this is such an impossible decision to make 🙃

Just wanted to stop by to say that I hope you’re okay and that you’re making time for yourself and the hobbies you love doing (other than writing). Please don’t feel pressured to post when you’re not up to it as I can only imagine that doing so would suck the fun out of writing for yourself and this amazing fic you’ve created. Please take all the time you need and always put your mental health first. :)

I’ll admit, and I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but as much as I love your fanfic, I’m kinda glad you’re taking time with the next update. 💀 I realized this week that in the past, I would drop everything that I was doing (even at work) just to read your fic (clearly, I was obsess and I definitely need more self-control 💀). It was a nice break not to have my phone constantly in front of my face reading and/or canceling/ postponing errands to read 💀. (Please know I really love your fanfic and this is definitely a me problem I need to work on, lol💀).

Bottom line is, please put yourself first! 🫶🏼 I’d (and I’m sure others feel the same way) rather be happy reading something you’re proud of and are enjoying writing vs. posting something for the sake of posting. Also, working in the STEM field can be exhaustinggg as well as life in general so please don’t ever feel bad for putting your needs first. We can wait. :)
