#the reason why im quicker to call tim a prick

I agree with that hot take. Tim, in canon, is over being fired. Tim stans act like it was the end of the world that Tim got fired. Dick was going through a hard time too, Damian needed Robin more than Tim at that point, and Tim went back to being Robin (instead of growing up) the first chance he got. Not to mention, Dick got fired as Robin too but people seem to care WAY less about that.
I think I just get frustrated bc I really like the character insight that whole situation gave both dick and Tim like from dicks perspective he really thought he was helping he was literally trying to give Tim the same opportunity he had when he was Robin- being forced to move on and make a new name for himself was the best thing that could of happened to him so obviously it'll be the same for Tim right - but on Tim's side of things this is literally the worst thing to ever happen it almost comes off that he hates the idea of change to the point were he'd do anything to keep things the same (which could stem from insecurities) so he lashes out at dick and steph bc theyre trying to help him deal with Bruce's death and he doesn't want to even accept it happened bc that would mean change - but a lot of this gets washed away when you just boil it down to Tim was right and dick was a meanie for not believing him sooner
#ask#anon#its always the people who say#dick shouldnt of given damian robin#like he didnt#either damian stole the outfit or alfred gave it to him#at most you can say dick let damian keep robin#sure but it was a very understandable decision#like a lot of what dick was doing at the time#he was trying his best#the reason why im quicker to call tim a prick#was bc he was actively making everything harder for dick who was in an impossible position#but i also think tims reaction was right for tim#like its very in character for him#and its relatable#anyway i could rant about this all night#but ill refrain#my brain literally feels so fuzzy#gonna go konk out
