HOUSE OF TRICKY: Doorbell Ringing xikers debut album, big hitter imo and no that's not just because i miss junghoon (i miss junghoon) but also my love of oh my gosh as a track probably makes me weigh this a bit heavily in comparison

I had to go on a hunt for the group concept photos but Tricky vs Hiker vers and this is where i tell which one i'm partial to but its pretty even for these ones there are two other versions (Nemo and Platform) and both concepts are that of the rockstar mv

HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial and Error ahhh We Don't Stop is so aerosmith ft run dmc coded like- possibly controversial and i don't mean this in a bad way when i say that sonically to me this is the most varied(?) title track is very 90s hip hop, Red Sun is a lot harder, Supercalifragilistic is more club vibes, i dont think i could describe Break a Leg and Every Flavor Jelly in a way that would do them justice im already butching the first three roadyblr admin faves: supercalifragilistic and red sun

Tricky vers vs Hiker (like with how to play there are two other concepts split between them but one of them didnt have a group photo so i just picked the main two) for this album also the tricky version comes with a little cardboard standee of the members and the hiker vs has a id card

HOUSE OF TRICKY: Watch Out I don't think I have enough time to properly go over how much i like watch out or the ability to form the words to express it? like there's so much i enjoy about watch out as a whole roadyblr admin track picks: back off is my top favorite like its so close to dethroning the current queen and sandcastle

mmmm depends on your definition i think. if you include canon compliant events its def one of my danganronpa fics (a foreign still or light of the moon) but that feels boring to me SO i might say my most recent fic for kamen rider ex-aid (or just mine tonight) since it ends on kindof a sour note for the characters? im not sure tbh, as much as i love angst in a fic i tend to like happier or ambiguous endings.

that's an easy one! my dimension 20: mentopolis fic (whale fall) was written before the finale and was my guess as to what would happen w one of the pairs of characters, and its very sweet and wholesome i think :3

DAY #15: 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

ugh this is gonna be hard for most without going back through their entire discography, but I'm gonna try me best here. I want to point out that I have always, since getting into rock and metal as a middle schooler, been deeply more prone to recognizing and remembering guitar work and obviously the vocals; it's not a conscious choice, it's just what my brain does, but it does make this a much more difficult question for every single thing besides guitar. So, I'll start with guitar!

(Cut here bc I'm sure this post is gonna be long and yucky formatting-wise)

So my mind could possibly change if I listened to everything again, however I am pretty fucking confident in that for guitar, it's "Mutter." More than anything else, it's that fucking refrain; it sounds entirely overflowing with wrenching pain and sorrow to me, and I cannot BELIEVE Reesh has said he wrote that shit for a wedding, like bitch it makes me want to cry without vocal assistance to set the vibe, holy fucking shit who died at that wedding??????????????? It will regularly give me goosebumps when I listen to the song.

Okay, second-easiest (I think, lol). For Flake's keyboard work, I'm a BIG fat lover of his performance in "Weit weg." I adore synthwave-style musical works, and this sound is just so classic and really does it for me. I think it also helps that I recently binged it for like, a full day for no reason other than it was stuck in my head real bad lmfao

All right, next one: bass. This is one of those more difficult ones, because I think like a great number of people, the bass is astronomically harder to single out in heavier music, unless it's basically the only thing playing (which we stan hard as fuck I wanna hear my Boy), and because of this, I took the time to listen to some bass covers of various tracks to have the sound singled out more, and now, I think I'm going with "Stripped." It's a head-bobber to me!

... aaaaand the hardest: drums. I want to scream from the fucking rooftops that this is no disrespect or disregard for Schneider, he is a vital member of the band that I adore, and drums are so instrumental in establishing the beat of songs, it's just that this is the one instrument that for some reason, my brain doesn't seem to latch onto and remember when I think of the song? It's completely indeliberate, I hear it and it just slides off my smooth-ass brain. 😭 I hate it because I love our dilf drummer so very much, so like this makes me feel so rude and as if I don't care for his part in the band, which couldn't be further from accurate; I reiterate, he's vital, as much as everyone else. All that being said, this is the instrument I am least confident about when picking a favorite, but like for Ollie, I visited a big chunk of songs that made me think "wait I think the drum performance is strong here," so take this one with the biggest grain of salt: I think I'm going with "Eifersucht." I like the fast pace of the drum in this one, and it's super rhythmic, and that's... all my non-drum-intellectual ass has got, lol. I'm that kid critiquing shit they don't know about right now.

He contributed so much to the humor culture of several generations, especially mine, plus of course major nostalgia. So knowing that entire album by Ween (but especially that song) literally inspired so much of Spongebob, plus the fact that the movie was where the story was supposed to be done and was when he took his exit as the executive director (he'd told the story he wanted to by that point but Nickelodeon wanted to continue it since it was so financially popular). He got to end it where he wanted and did so by getting to have that song on the movie. I'm EMOTIONAL about it. 6. So at the moment I’m not really sure there’s anything I like about my art. I’m kind of in a funk where I think everything I do just isn’t really that good. Which is dumb and not true! Because I know that I’ve been proud of things I’ve made. But yeah…I’m not sure. How I got into art was actually through my dad. He would always have canvases at his house and he would always encourage me to create stuff. So when I was younger and throughout like grade school I was really good, I was in advanced art classes and groups and in art shows and all that. But I kind of got out of it for a bit and just started up again in 2020. And I’m definitely more of a painter now, although I have been mainly drawing to try and get skill back

7. best season hands down is autumn. My favorite weather is stormy and cloudy, a little chilly so I can just wear a big sweater or hoodie and feel nice and cozy

they had so much potential as a band and i hate that they made it into adam levine’s personal show

they are masters of having features who have the most irrelevant lines & are probably just there for the clicks

i despise sugar with a burning passion, and i rarely have hard feelings on annoying songs from the charts

adam’s voice can get so annoying. like yes, he can sing and hit high notes and i like his voice on some songs, but it’s getting on my nerves after some time

i shiver upon hearing some lyrics & they make me uncomfortable. he’s not only hella self centered, toxic, dishonest and narcissistic judging by them, but also calls women his little girl and honestly, no thanks - creeping me out

that said, i usually don’t care about their lyrics at all and only listen for the vibe (the exception is songs about jane)

are they even writing their own lyrics at this point? *skimming the list of co-writers on more recent albums*

fun fact: every time a band puts out a record that feels unoriginal and people-pleasing, i joke with friends about how they might become the next moron 5 (and pray that they don’t)

what i like most about them*

this is gonna be kind of sappy, but what i love most about f(x) is that they were the ost for my coming of age story. through my formative years in high school, they were there for me. while my current self does have qualms about them working so much at such a young age, i am incredibly thankful that i had a comfort artist i could see myself in back then.

i also gotta admit, i really wanted to be an kpop artist at that age (i totally got why my parents weren't up for it so i didn't really pursue it at all) so seeing a majority foreign-born group really made me feel seen (and like being an idol was possible LMFAO); i feel like they really opened a lot of doors for foreign idols down the road and while we still have yet to have someone who truly fills amb*r's niche, i still think her presence in kpop was historic and meant something.

i don't really get many chances to talk about how much i love this group (especially irl; literally no one at school even knew of them before i started talking about em, and even then no one bothered stanning), but they will always always always be my personal favorite 💜💜💜

i don't really mind him either, but i don't...really...like this one 💀 and i say that having listened to the whole album a few times in the past

like it's just really lackluster to the rest of his songs. i do like the guitar tho, as the riffs are nice (albeit repetitive), and i like the different tones/effects they put on it every thirty seconds since that adds variety ig. i don't like the piano. it sounds cheap. idk how to explain it but i just KNOW it's either not a real a piano (so they used midi/prerecorded notes) or they've put so many effects that it doesn't even sound real anymore, which i hate all the time, but especially when the track is so instrumental heavy?? that's kind of pathetic tbh, and it doesn't even suit the style here (bc ik sometimes people make it sound "faker" to match that). the drum is also boring. the lyrics are SUPER boring 😭 he's just saying woman the whole time omg??? i could not listen to it more than twice w/out so losing it 😭😭😭

the funny thing is like, lol, even tho ik half this site hates him, he actually knows his sound pretty well, has a pleasant voice, and gets experimental often (in a good way). like if his song came on from the aux cord or smth, i'd leave it playing and not mind, yk? i WOULD mind for this NJGHSKGJLDSKG. not really my favorite, maybe ur friend just imagines themselves as the woman idk bro u have my condolences, 5/10.
