Let me introduce to y’all an idea:

RealityTV AU of Double Life

Idk what to call it yet though :/

It’s set in Brisbane (because I live here and fuck tryna get references on places I DONT live in), and the show’s gimmik is essentially secret life and limited life mixed together. Its a brand new reality TV by ABC and they’re hoping it’ll appeal to the young adults due to whom’s casted. (Tryna raise more local interest and local production)

The cast though unknown until its start, are advertised to be well known local influencers in the location it’s being shot, which is Brisbane. Implying a vlog style, camera crew following the cast at a set time type of presentation.

So the Double Life qualities: Everyone in the show are under contract to never reveal their status on being part of the show. They do all receive a little metal ball that track their everyday movement since accepting being casted for the show.

This is how the partnership’s are chosen. The producer of the show, since cast confirmation, observes all the unique coloured dots and pairs the people on their first contact a week and a day since receiving the balls.

On the day of shooting, located at the Queen Street, everyone arrives on time at 9:00am with their respective camera crew handing them a lil vlogging camera and to follow them as they try to find their partner for the show. A partner that’s also competition as in the later stages of the show. Though, cast members do have an option to continue their partnership rather than working independently.

Now to the Limited Life qualities: A Timer on completing tasks and an ability to reduce time via passes gained from [Secret Life quality]. These time limiting passes can also be gained through audience interaction after episodes drop. The audience are implored to submit their votes on three criteria’s: Most efficient at the Task, Most creative at the Task, and The Favourite. The cast members can only interact/encourage the voting through ONE of their choice, medium. May it be video, tweets, posters, etc. they can only encourage the voting for themselves through ONE medium.

And finally to the Secret Life qualities: this quality is where the time reduction passes come from. If a task is successful, a < -50% of time> pass is given. For vote win passes it’s a < -25% of time > pass. If the cast member is chosen for Favourite for three consecutive times, a < -70% of time > pass is given and are out of the favourite voting for one week. If the task is failed, cast member is only available for the favourite voting option and will be allocated a harder task in the next challenge.

This quality is also how the housing for the cast is organised. Based on the interviews for the show, the cast members are given accomodations in specific areas around Brisbane. The accomodations are empty and unfurnished at the start (furnishing and decorating the place is part of the mission on the second week of the show).
