Hey random q but have you ever been to the PH national library? We have like two public libraries in my province and they're both just one room at city hall with some shelves and a table. I wanted to know if traveling to Manila just to experience a big public library would be worth the trip.

hi!!! I haven’t been to the NatLib since the pandemic began so I'm not sure what the changes are now. but what I can tell you is that it's a great place for when you’re doing research and/or studying (after college, I just went there for uninterrupted reading time whenever I get sick of home or cafes so it’s great for that as well!)

however, I can't say it's worth traveling to from outside the Metro if your sole purpose is just a casual visit. if you’re already in Manila for other things though, then yeah it's worth a try! just make sure to bring a valid ID to enter the premises. (you can also drop by Luneta, Intramuros, and the National Museum which are all within the same area to make your visit more worthwhile! ☺️)
