bombanon from some time ago here no idea if anyone cares but I'm back and I just finished tgl. FINALLY .something happened in my life that kind of distracted me from everything and I left it almost finished with only the epilogue left for like a month or however long I was gone. Either way I'm so emotional over it. so many cats died in such a short period of time that I legit have to go back and check who's left. I also wasn't so positive that dandelionfall survived lmao but oh my god???? Is that her???? Or is that someone else omg???? Is that chestnut with her OH MY GOD THEY HAD A BABY??????????? WHOS BABY IS THAT???? Is it theirs or did they just find it on the side of the road?? How far into the future is this where are they in the timeline right now? Did Flaxstripe find them??? Is anyone else there? Ouzelheart? Cranestar??????WHAT is happening I'm so excited I'm starting book 2 like right now. Also I wish I had the words to describe how much I like the way you characterize everyone ESPECIALLY pinefrost I find the way her character evolves throughout the book so intriguing and heartbreaking idk if the endless winter is split pov or just houndpelt (I'm assuming it's him) but if it's the latter I'm going to miss her SOOO much dude she's grown on me more than anyone else it's actually so funny how I didn't even know if I was going to like her at first but now she's my numero uno

omg hiiiii!!!!!! hope all is well with you!!! is that dandelionfall? is it cranestar? idk! fun fact tho that little epilogue was one of my fave things to write and match with the opening. also !! im so glad you like Pinefrost. i love how everyone loves her numero uno wet rat. (spoiler!) Endless Winter would have been cool as a split POV but unfortunately it is not : ( i do have Houndpelt and co POV work planned (and there is a Woolycloud mini fic)

getting through the endless winter way slower than i'd like to be (i want to inhale it in one sitting oh my god) but just finished chapter 17 and??? rutherford's "a friend" im so intrigued??? also just eating up these descriptions and setting especially how unsettled pinefrost is down in the dark given she didn't really want to go in to begin with... the more i read too the more off rutherford seems but also the more i love him like he's a weird little guy i'd like to sit and talk to him about literally anything. do you think i could talk to him about pretty rocks or

(god thats so sweet im so honoured u just wanna read it in one!!!!) yes Rutherfords mysterious backstory.... he can hunt in the tunnels. the tunnel is actually 100% safe from radiation, its the complete opposite of the light you see, pitch black. i like the dark, but its weird- that description about holding your [hand] out in front of you and not being able to see it but 'seeing' it because you know its there and your mind is filling in the gaps because it wants to see is something i do every night.

rutherfords just a weird as fuck little man. hes great. he gets weirder/better across the river, just ask my previous anons screaming about him! : )

i just read your whole series in one sitting and. can i just say. you have done a FANTASTIC job the way you handled the aftermath and the radiation sickness was genuinely horrifying it was. absolutely perfect. the abruptness of sedgenose and woolycloud’s deaths were so !!!!!!!! ugh i have literally been sitting in the dark staring at the ceiling for the past ten minutes because i really just have no words. pinefrost’s characterization and the way you develop her actually felt like you were shooting me in the heart. the one goal keeping her moving being to find creekclan and then when she finally does, she still doesnt feel fulfilled…. UGH !!!!!!!! i cant stop crying i cant wait to see where you take the story next. the way that sedgenose and woolycloud were so close to making it home. they were right there. oh my god. they were so close and then they just Died. just like that. my god. you have wounded me deeply

Anon who asked for the bomb again (I should make up a shorter name for myself) here comes the liveread uhhhh I really hope they find Ouzelheart with at least some of her limbs still intact she is my favorite out of the missing creekclan cats shes so cute :( I haven't been looking at the art on this blog since I started because I don't want to spoil myself so I'm not sure what her ref is exactly like but I love black cats and I love Ouzelhearts personality and I kept imagining her in my head with little white socks and a mustache the whole time :( Im also tempted to go back and search for pre-bomb flaxstripe scenes because I paid like no attention to him at first and he seems to be getting more relevant now. There's something off about him to me I feel like he's up to something mischievous. And third final note I want to see what everyone thinks the bomb was. Pinefrost isn't thinking about it right now but I wanna know if there's any cat convinced that it was punishment from Starclan for misinterpreting their sign or some shit. god has abandoned us wahhh wahhhh and the like

hello bombanon!! Ouzelheart is one of my faves, ive just reblogged her design - the mustache is a choice design tho i will have to add that for her new art. Flaxstripe!!! I love him. Someone picked up on one of his earlier scenes mirroring a later scene with him and i was so :)))) and well-! we get onto the theorising of the bomb later on... but rn everyones too busy dying : (

Do Pinefrost and Rutherford become mates at one point? Do they have any feelings for each other?

I don’t think Rutherford has the capacity to love another but he’s tripped out on the idea of someone loving/needing him. The idea of someone being completely enamoured and worshipping him is fuel for his ego but he can’t really ‘give’ in a relationship.

Pinefrost is young, and at the time when she meets Rutherford she’s been living with Worlds-grumpiest-tom Houndpelt and shy Cuckoopaw so she def strikes up a friendship with Rutherford straight off the bat. I think there’s some chemistry but you can’t really love someone who thinks he’s a god. (I do love the pairing tho but it wouldn’t work at all)
