fuck it friday

@rewritetheending (<3) tagged me to post whatever I want, and for once I'm back to my roots, online on a Friday evening, so I can even get it out on the right day!

So I did a fun thing yesterday:

My choir often gets asked to do quartet gigs on a variety of events (company parties, graduation ceremonies, birthdays, weddings, funerals, you name it), but this time it was Helsinki airport who asked us to come perform by the tax free. :D They had a mulled wine (alcohol free) sample station beside us, and we sang three sets of five songs, spread out over three or so hours.

It's definitely one of the more unique gigs I've ever been on! A noisy area with lots of people walking past all the time (naturally), but surprisingly many also stopped for a while to listen. There was one old lady who very enthusiastically mouthed along to "I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus" which was adorable, and a really funny older dude who just walked past showing thumbs up and grinning the whole time.

I might also later share a clip of Silent Night, if you want a peep at an arrangement of it spanning e flat to a2 flat (or E3 flat to A5 flat if you're using the scientific pitch notation).
