I feel like the only reason that mh g3 is doing as well as it is is that it has a built in fan base still, I think it’ll outlive g2 but I don’t think it’ll last as long as g1 did unless they start doing better

#whimsy whispers #mattel as a whole has been mega disappointing tbh #they’ve had several doll lines that discontinued shortly after release #even their bread and butter barbie hasn’t had any really interesting or noteworthy dolls #if mh didn’t already have a fandom from the previous generations I feel like it wouldn’t be doing nearly as good as it is now #not to say I think it would flop instantly without it because I do like a good amount of the decisions they’ve made for the doll line #but overall it’s just lackluster and could be better #especially regarding the face screening #and the reuse of accessories like i her reusing avessories but if they continue to reuse as many as they did in one set as they plan to for #the pet sitter one then I’m going to be highly disappointed #idk lately a lot of what mattel is putting out feels very low quality #like do better or something
