Anyone who knows me knows I’m a bundle of unfulfilled ideas / headcanons. I have a lot of stories / AU ideas I want to write.. but either don’t have the time or energy to write them... Or you know, I’m just plain lazy.

I’m also kind of leaning more towards Genshin Impact now than FFXIV oops

1) More time travel AU

I KNOW!! I’m the only one who cares about this au okay but 

TIME TRAVEL STORIES ARE ALWAYS SOME OF MY FAVORITE STORIES??? ADDING TO THAT ANYTHING INVOLVING LIKE.. META COMMENTARY AND POSSIBLE 4TH WALL BREAKING??? STEINS;GATE??? MADOKA MAGICA??? CHARLOTTE??? UNDERTALE??? The ability to stop time and rewind time is just such a COOL ASS concept to me?? I won’t shut up about wanting time mage in ffxiv just so I can OFFICIALLY make her a canon overpowered time and space manipulator. Maybe then, time travel au won’t just be an au anymore.

On top of that I just really like Cronus. The idea of an Illya who is so damaged and broken she becomes an entirely different person. I just don’t really have a set plot planned for this au or have any idea on how to resolve the conflict between Cronus, present timeline Illya and Alphinaud... or if I even wanna give Cronus a happy ending iafnioafas. But whenever there’s an opportunity to talk about time travel au, you bet your gil I will.

2) More Nier Automata AU

I kinda lost steam for this AU really really quickly for some reason but.. I had pretty ambitious plans for the plot of this which I really hope I’ll find the inspiration to write out some day.. because I really don’t like just.. reducing my ideas to simple bullet point headcanons. 

Some brief idea of what I had in mind though:

 bad ending depending on illya’s actions at one of the climatic scenes

different ‘good’ endings depending on her last dialogue choice which would lead to her ending up with different love interests.

really really meta writing about the meaning of an android’s life and who 2C feels like she really is

scene of 2C regaining memories of alphinaud’s death and losing her shit

Like I said. I’m a bundle of lots of ideas that are almost always unfulfilled. I still really like this au though and I don’t want it to go to waste...

3) More Modern AU

Oops another AU. At least this one isn’t depressing or something that might give you an existential crisis. I have A LOT of headcanons for modern au ffxiv characters... not to mention different versions of the modern au concept. There’s Youtuber Illya AU, there’s highschool AU, there’s that AU where Illya works at a coffee shop and Alphinaud is a university student. 

I just love how laid back and Slice of Life-y modern au can be and I just... really love the idea of Illya living a normal happy life that doesn’t involve her having to kill gods every other day as much as i do love to torture her, yes. 

Some ideas for modern au fics i had:

Highschool AU Ryne asking her friends to cosplay sailor moon characters for a cosplay convention. Laurelis as Sailor Moon and Haurchefant as Tuxedo Mask. Ryne herself as Sailor Venus. Gaia as Sailor Mars. Illya as Sailor Saturn. 

Youtuber Illya attempting to vlog outside her home for the first time while she’s on a date with Alphinaud because her viewers requested it so much. Just pure fluff and the dorks being dorks. 

Highschool AU Illya working on a set of mini terrarium jewelry to sell at the school fair to raise money. The jocks at the school sort of laugh and lowkey bully her for the idea but she ends up making a ton of money.

SOL comedy AU where alisaie and alphinaud both have a crush on Illya sort of compete for her attention. She’s completely oblivious to all of it. 

Cafe AU where Illya has raised enough money (and with Alphinaud’s generous donation) to send in an entry to university. Alphinaud helps her study for the entrance exam.

4) To Aru Majutsu no Index AU

LOOK SOMETHING I HAVEN’T TALKED ABOUT ON MY BLOG BEFORE. I just really like the premise / setting of this anime. ARE YALL READY FOR WORD VOMIT???

Academy city, a city that houses many schools, and research intuitions devoted to the study and advancement of science. Espers are individuals who use scientifically based supernatural powers, all of whom gained and trained their powers artificially under the system of Academy city. However, there is another underground side to the city - a small organization of people with supernatural abilities that cannot be explained by science. They are called magicians - and due to the rarity of magic, and how Academy city is so repulsed by the idea of abilities that defy the laws of conventional science and their understanding, some people even believe that magic is simply a myth or urban legend. 

While espers typically specialize in only one or two types of ability, magicians are often able to wield a variety of different abilities that take time to train and nurture, making them so frightening to the science side of academy. Some magicians even end up dabbling in the occult or black magic.

Alphinaud, a level 4 esper with the ability to physically see energy waves emitted by other espers. Couple that with his high intelligence, he is able to analyze the movements and abilities of other espers and even pin point the weak points of their abilities. His twin sister Alisaie is also a level 4 esper who is able to teleport herself and one other person she touches a certain distance in a radius around her current location. 

Alphinaud comes across Illya on his home from his training program one day, beaten and exhausted on the side of the road. He wants to call the hospital, but she begs him not to, saying she’s afraid that ‘they’ will find her. He takes her back to his home and nurses her wounds. Not seeing any energy waves being emitted from her, he assumes that she is simply an ordinary citizen. He asks her where her home is and how she ended up injured on the side of the road, but she refuses to tell him.

One day, a fight breaks out on the streets near his home, where a level 5 esper has gone rogue and is attacking innocent bystanders. He asks Illya to stay behind while he and Alisaie takes care of the situation. They are outmatched however, and Illya, watching the situation from the balcony of his home finally decides to step in. She easily incapacitates the esper using a variety of magical abilities the twins have never seen before, draining the man of his energy before returning to heal Alphinaud and Alisaie. 

They question Illya later, and she finally confesses to being a magician who is on the run from an organization who had been keeping her captive for the past few years. She has the ability of perfect memory - being able to memorize spells from any grimoire she reads and utilize the powers for herself, though often at some debilitating cost. The more powerful the spell, the more dire and painful the side effects.  She has been forced to read a total of more than 500 grimoires by now, and only managed to narrowly escape thanks to a mysterious man who took pity on her. 

Due to the side effects of her ability, and also having done nothing but be chained up and forced to read grimoires for the past few years, Illya is physically frail and cannot fend for herself beyond using magical abilities, which she is often hesitant to do.

5) Pokemon AU...carmela im looking

Waiting for @windupnamazu​ to provide more details on her pokemon au buttttt i’ve already been working on illya’s sort of backstory, her pokemon team, alphinaud’s pokemon team and other headcanons regarding this au. Also.. working with an artist regarding illya’s design for this au, which i’m very excited to be able to share =3c Not the time yet tho

I actually talked about a pokemon au with Jam as early as June of last year. I made a pokemon team for illya aaaaaand only half of her original team I had for her over a year ago is still in her current team oops. It’s okay, the retconned ones can stay at home and relax with Lachlan. 

6) More amaurotine stuff

Oh finally something relating to canon. I’ve been thinking about Chloris x Apollo from time to time and honestly I.. really love their dynamic.. despite how sad and lowkey awful Apollo can be towards her. But I think that’s part of the charm of what makes alphinaud and illya’s relationship later so sweet, being able to acknowledge that they had their flaws and learn from them ;w;

I had an idea for Chloris inventing a type of flower with the unintentional suggestion of Apollo, and it later makes an appearance where Alphinaud discovers the flower and asks Illya about it. 

7) The twins... no, not the Leveilleur twins

I think everyone’s talked about their lovechildren more than I have and I’ve already kind of explained why I haven’t made any screens or talked about them at length but.. I really do love them so much ;;;; I wanna find the opportunity to write a fic of them maybe spending a day inside with their army of carbuncles... Also @ancientechos​‘ OC Esme (son of haurche and laurelis) developing a crush on one of them =3c 

Also another idea I had involving them is being taken to the site of some of Illya and Alphinaud’s adventures...

8) Butler AU...hey, anyone remember this? 

Remember when I did several comics back to back and was super motivated for this AU? I do. I miss being motivated and inspired and not like.. wrecked with depression. I have plot points... ALSO INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER OCs WHO JOINED THIS AU???? Maybe one day I’ll find the drive again. At least I was able to finish one plot arc!! Which is more than I can say for most of my other AUs. Someone get me back in the shoujo manga mood!!! please!!

what kind of clothing does your character like to wear? do they have a style? anything they avoid wearing? Eugene wears button ups, a lot, with funky little patterns on them. Usually they are blue, turquoise, green and pink. He usually just wears blue denim pants, however if his shirt is blue he tries to avoid wearing blue pants under them. As for shoes he just wears, usually white, sneakers.

what's their current hairstyle? has it changed? do they change it often? Eugene's hair is short, but the long kind of short. He usually wears it with a small crest, but sometimes he lets it down too. During Mann Co. it was a lot shorter because Soldier demanded they'd all keep their hair short. In his mid-teens [15-16] he started off with a bit of a mullet that eventually grew into longer hair that he'd keep in place with a headband, [think Your Worst Nightmare kind of long] he cut it off at around 17.

is your character more articulate in their thoughts than their words? if yes, do they do anything about that? do they care? Eugene is more articulate in his thoughts, he tends to have very rambled thoughts that make sense to him but when he has to out those words it can be a little chaotic/rambly as well. But if he has to prepare text it comes out a lot more structured. He doesn't do anything about it cause he enjoys being a little chaotic like that.

would your character sing along to a vaguely familiar song, even if they messed up the lyrics as they went? No, Eugene will only sing along if he knows the words. If a song is vaguely familiar he'll only hum along with it.

if they wear any, how does your character go about applying makeup? Eugene doesn't wear makeup.

do they usually sleep in a certain pose? does it change? Fetal position is the go to but not a necessity when sleeping.

how would they react to eating something that was spicier than they expected it to be? Tears would form in his eyes and he'd cough a little but he's too stubborn to admit he can't handle it/it's too spicy.

are their hands steady? Yes, absolutely. Thanks to sniper training they got steadier than before.

if someone gave them flowers, what would they do with them? He'd be very confused. Eventually he'll accept them but it's very uncomfortable and awkward for him. If something like this [affection and/or something so confronting and unexpected] happens to him he'll be the type to say no out of discomfort even though he'd want to say yes.

would they sneak out at night to look at the sky? how long would they stay there looking? Absolutely, he'd use his dogs as an excuse to go outside and he'd just stay there for as long as he or his dogs like.

how do they feel about casual endearments? (babe, etc) Uncomfortable, he'd need to get used to them a lot.

what colour would they paint their room? would there be a design on the ceiling? He'd be too undecisive to choose colours or patterns. On the ceiling there are those green and purple glow in the dark stickers.

what helps them fall asleep when they're having trouble doing so? ASMR or watching those YouTube documentaries.

do they tend to run hot or cold? do they do anything to deal with that? xx I'm not sure what this question means

what's a sound they can't stand? The sound [and sight] of people eating.

would they draw patterns in frosted windows/fogged up mirrors? what would they draw? He'd draw smiley faces and dogs [and male genitalia when it's appropriate.]

do they fidget? how and/or with what? A lot! He has multiple fidget. He scratches his neck a lot, he scratches his thumbs a lot too, and he rubs his knuckles over his chest sometimes [ this also because of the scar itching].

would they sing a lullaby, if the opportunity arose? Nah, not a fan of lullabies.

do they see patterns in the world around them? do they point them out to people? All the time, but he barely points them out because more often than not people look at him weird for either not seeing the pattern or confusion.

do they like to keep plants/growing things in their space? His favourites are cacti and succulents, though most of them are fake because he forgets to take care of them a lot.

do they touch or mess with their hair/horns a lot? Usually only the hair on his neck thanks to his neck scratches, and a hand through his hair once in a while but that's it.

when they speak, do they have a default tone of voice? if yes, do they try to change it? why?

do they wrap their arms around their stomach when it hurts?

what kind of bookmarks, if any, do they like to use? No bookmarks, only memory. When it's a book they read in class, he uses colour coded sticky bookmarks for discussions in class.

do they write in their books? do they mind other people writing in their books? what do they write? Yes, he writes in his books mainly for things he notices or for discussion points in class [like foreshadowing or patterns or smth similar]

do they write often? why/what about? Not really, Eugene sometimes tries to write down what he feels, because he has troubles expressing emotion and he hopes it may help him.

if they wear any, where did they get their jewellery? He has matching sword necklaces with Demoman, but he only rarely wears it. He doesn't like jewellery too much as it feels bothersome to him.

can they play darts? would they? He can easily play, and win, darts thanks to his aim as an ex-sniper but he doesn't because he just thinks it boring.

what's the first thing they think when they hear an alarm? what's the first thing they do? His ears perk up and he looks around to try and figure out what is going on.

do they keep working even when their wrists start to cramp? if they do, do they give themselves a break when the work is done? He does keep working because, once he's started something and is in the right mindset he doesn't want to stop and once again he's too stubborn to stop as well.

if their mattress became uncomfortable as time passed, would they notice it? would they do anything about it? He wouldn't notice because he already gets barely any sleep anyway.

Are they an organised person? Or more laissez-faire? It's organised chaos. He's got everything organized but only in a way that he knows where everything is.

Yugioh S3 Ep22: Mokuba Gets Murdered

So today’s is...a long update, I may half it, but I’m gonna be away from my computer a whole bunch for a few weeks so like...if I half it you’re gonna be waiting on that other half for...kind of a while and by then I may have sort of forgotten what was happening in the first half. So I dunno, maybe I’ll just make this a huge ass...59 cap post.

honestly it’s mostly 59 caps because, surprisingly, no one dueled this episode.

I KNOW.

When I saw that “To be continued” last episode I really thought I’d have to deal with more paper-form BS but Noah finally plopped over at the beginning of this episode so I guess he’s just officially done playing cards now. Everyone has been turned back from being stoneware with absolutely no consequential brain damage. Probably because you could not do any more damage than what has been previously done.

But don’t worry he’ll get some more brain damage in by the end of this episode.

Remember the plot point that Tristan was slowly becoming a real monkey? I think he forgot about that because he’s been a monkey for...a realllllly long time and he kinda like...continues to just be Tristan. Maybe Tristan was nearly a monkey to begin with?

We also get a rare sighting of an actual real deal hug on this show and it was from the last person you’d ever expect.

Surprisingly heartwarming for this show.

If that duel disk goes off, both of them are super dead. Hugging in a duel disk might be the most dangerous sport either of these boys have ever done.

Anyway, because Seto and Mokuba were the first ones to go, they have no idea that any time has passed at all.

He seems pretty OK for Yugi just nonchalantly taking his dragons but this is VR and...the cards aren’t...actually here. So like...Yugi didn’t actually steal anything? No proof, no crime.

To be honest, no one should have any cards in any of their decks right now, but the show kind of forgets that these digital cards need to be drafted each round. It’s fine.

Anyway, in the wake of losing a card game, Noah just remembered that he’s a freakin god of this universe so he decides to just go for plan B, which you would think would be most people’s plan A.

Ya Noah could have peaced out at any point in this show, but because he was trying to impress Daddy he just...didn’t?

Not like it mattered because the integral plot device was like “oh yeah guys, I’m in this show, too, completely forgot. Oops, is it too late? It’s already episode 22? Eh, better late than never.”

and don’t be deceived by the cap, it showed like...every millennium item for some reason. You’d think it wouldn't show the rod because Yugi doesn’t have that, but apparently Marik up there on the ship was like “the hell is this going off for?” and then just shrugged it off.

Noah gets...mostly this image of a well waxed Pharaoh while Yugi gets images of Noah’s memories, where he finds out each of Yugi’s friends and Yugi himself were stuffed in little sci fi VR pods. You’d think that they wouldn’t need to access Noah’s memories to realize that. Should’ve been the first thing they realized when they got here. In VR.

Like, think about it, the only other person that got kicked out of here was Pegasus. And to kick out Pegasus it took all of Yugi’s friends except Bakura. Apparently this time all Yugi needs is for Pharaoh to focus (and Bakura to be just...youknow...present, I guess. Assuming the writers haven’t forgotten that Bakura’s still in there)

I think they mostly did this memory exchange as an excuse to give us a review--thing is there’s so much weird stuff to review it feels a lot like exposition. Like I don’t remember seeing these big boys before:

There is just...a lot of design put into this robot you only see like a couple of times. Some concept artist when all ham so I wonder...was this his OC? I’m so glad his weird OC sleepytime bot got into Yugioh. Good for him.

So at this point I kinda turned to my bro and was like “this feels a lot like the Matrix, doesn’t it?” and then in rolls in the bright purple cloud of “you don’t even know.”

back to Yugioh.

Yo I kinda forgot in the mayhem that Kaiba’s Dad was clearly here this whole time. I figured we’d run into him, I didn’t really think he’d Castlevania it up in the sky in order to do it.

So this show presents these two brain orb AI monsters as being pretty well...alive...in that Orb because we’ve only heard this explanation from two AI beings who are pretty sure they never died. But, are they alive, really? Did they really transcend to a higher plane like Noah thinks? Or was this a thinly veiled murder/suicide? Did Gozaburo Kaiba kill his son because he could not allow him to be crippled, seeing an opportunity test out this crazy orb AI that needed a human brain in order to function--knowing full well what he was doing? And then later kill himself after losing everything to Seto?

Like, I’ve heard that in the Japanese version, Gozaburo commits suicide and in the English version he does not. But, at least from where I’m sitting...I think he commits suicide in both versions. Like, maybe it’s because I’m an adult watching this and not a child, but it feels like Gozaburo did this in order to set a trap for Seto as his last screw you before he left this mortal plane.

Either way, Noah’s kind of an idiot and so he still has not caught on. What followed was the three very worst Kaiba boys just kind of shouting at eachother for 5-10 minutes but, like, on completely different wavelengths, every single one. The lack of communication between these dumbasses right after Gozaburo drops this horrifying bomb of “and then I killed myself to kill all of you” was actually pretty low key hilarious.

The dub then got very confused as to when Noah died. Really confused, I’m not going to analyze that too much, it’s dub problems. Dubs do that sometimes.

Also, this is a new Noah outfit. Huh. shame we never got to know it.

Anyway, as the truth comes out, suddenly this accidental Kaiba family therapy

sesh everyone else in this High School class is privy to just starts escalating.

Anyway, remember that random idea that Noah dropped on us to consume the world with VR tech? I knew it would come back, just not quite like this. Not with a nice Power Point slide show via the sky from the Most Evil Mufasa.

And that was how Kaiba’s Dad decided “I was once scorned by a rude 12 year old, lets destroy every human on Earth and extinguish all civilization.”

So basically the entire freakin ocean is just filled with these robots? Just completely polluted with nighty-night bots?

Yo.

So like this whole time we’ve been following Marik, who’s trying to destroy the world, and keeping babysitting tabs on Bakura, who’s trying to destroy the world, but Kaiba just wants to be the best and show everyone else up so he just decided to set in motion the entirety of humanity’s destruction BEFORE THIS SERIES EVER STARTED.

*coughs* I can’t believe Yugioh just did the Matrix better than the Matrix.

Now listen, I know what I said--and I have to tell you, the Matrix was one of my favorite movies when it came out when I was wee middle schooler and watched it secretly at my friend’s house. It was rated R for absolutely no reason, and so I wasn’t supposed to watch it--but I did anyway and it was very thrilling to break the law like that. Keanu Reeves did a middle finger--yes, that was the cuss that put it into R territory--and I was like “wow, he is crazy!”

But, while it’ll always hold a place in my little tween heart, that one did not age well. Mostly because, once it stepped away from the cave allegory you have to start asking questions like “so...how did everyone get trapped in the Matrix?” and it was like “because the robots needed batteries. So like...humans...became batteries...rather than..........actual batteries.” which makes a lot of sense when you’re like a child and you don’t know how batteries work, but as an adult it’s like “...so they’re not very smart robots, then?”

But, Matrix came out about 1999, and because it was super cool, it influenced everything. This show was about 2001, and Kaiba’s wearing a floor length coat--I really think there may have been a bit of an influence?

And I think they may have explained how all humanity would get placed in the Matrix better than that movie series that was like 3 movies and a bunch of video games and a very violent cartoon. And like, the Yugioh explanation is still balls insane, but hey, at least this motive makes sense.

And then, at this point, Mokuba’s Stockholm Syndrome came back, but this time it’s just plain old fashioned Stockholm Syndrome, no weird brainwashing on the part of Noah was necessary to make any of this happen.

Like I really think Moki’s finally snapped. It’s finally snapped. He doesn’t know have any idea what is going on anymore and desperately needs a nap. A nap that will last like 5 days. Moki needs to go to the beach and just...not move for about a straight week to recover from the mess of this tournament.

Most people at this point would be like “yeah I think maybe Noah isn’t trustworthy” but this group of kids--this is the only group of kids that sees a cackling undead digital ghost dude hunched over like this who has already tried to kill them on multiple occasions--straight up just 10 minutes ago--and says “he’s probably much better now.”

Just 10 feet away from them, Marik is desperately trying to finish the arc he started, but keeps running into filler problems. Which is this door.

This X-men door, the most powerful filler villain in the Yugioh universe.

I can’t believe they explained away Marik--super powerful evil villain that bested Bakura--by using one singular door that kept him occupied for like 20 episodes.

Apparently the bedtime bots are equiped with Huge Lasers.

Which kind of defeats the purpose of keeping everyone alive to send them to the VR realm?

But whatever, they have huge lasers, but little do they know, Marik can shoot lasers out of that necklace he stole off Bakura, and he didn’t actually do that and it’s kind of a bummer. Instead he reflects the lasers with the rod. Which then makes you wonder--is that why Bakura didn’t use his laser attack then? Because of the reflection issue?

Sorry I can’t believe I even entertained that idea. Clearly they completely forgot about S1 at this point. It feels like it’s been so many years since things were simple and you could shoot lasers out of your eyeball/necklace.

And then, canonically, Marik gave up on this door. This normal ass door. The only foe he has ever stepped down to.

This door has faced the ultimate evil, it has stared down an actual fallen god born of anger and violence, who, after thousands of years steeped in an abusive tomb, has risen to consume the entire world, but, this door, using all of it’s bolts and joints you can buy at your local Home Depot, sent that fallen god back whence he came. Which was a blimp. Marik came from a blimp.

This door should be the 4th God Card.

(I want y’all to know that I originally wrote “5th” god card and bro corrected me because I literally thought there were 4 this entire time.)

The amount of time that Mokuba was not kidnapped after Yugi and co just saved him? I want to say maybe 10 minutes. He got one hug from Seto, and then went back to the kidnap zone.

Apparently, Noah decided to trap everyone else in their old memories--which is an interesting way to recap what happened in S2. The trap doesn’t trick them very well because these guys are missing a fair amount of memory at this point, so they basically got served a bunch of weird nonsense.

So while those guys are going to go down their very, very short memory lanes, Noah takes Mokuba to the same exact Dave & Busters that Tea and Yugi went on a date to back in like S2. Like this is the same exact one. And what’s nuts is I think they even redid the backgrounds, but definitely used S2 as reference. It’s quite the devotion to detail.

Noah tried to invent some sort of weird mystery doorway but then Mokuba was like “yeah it’s in the game right? Don’t say no, because I am hankering for some arcade time--don’t touch the other stick though, I want to play solo.″ and then Mokuba just proceeded to play this 2 person arcade game by himself while Noah just...watches.

In Dukes memories, Tristan looks the same as Duke’s always perceived him.

There’s just a lot to take in here.

But don’t worry, it gets weirder than three cultists on one small toy monkey, because here comes some romantic development that had absolutely no basis in reality. This is just so freakin weird, get ready for it.

They definitely almost run over Duke and Serenity--Joey’s sister--and Joey does not not seem to have any reaction to nearly running over his little sister on the road, because one second later, this is happening.

And that was how Noah managed to insert his JoeyxMai fanfiction into Joey’s head and tried his damnedest to make it canon. It’s wild. I can’t believe Noah was a shipper this whole time. Like, who else has he been secretly shipping???

Noah had a split second to use his fabulous orb brain to deal with Joey, and while he used actual memories from the other kids, when it came to Joey, he sort of stopped and went “oh yes, my OTP!”

So then, in this split second Noah kinda turned to his pile of Joey fanfic he keeps stashed in the corner of his Orb Brain Consciousness and was like “well I have this really good one I wrote where Mai wasn’t in the coma yet, and there clearly aren’t enough romantic sunsets, and like...what if they were getting married? Oh man I love this AU! This is so good, can’t wait to upload it to his brain, OMG, he’ll love it. What if they were in Hawaii or something!? OMG they’re so freakin cute.”

Like everyone else on this show who has a canon relationship had to go through some type of sweet hell terror memory but Joey--just Joey--got to go on a date or something and then seal his love with a ring. Like we’ve seen many indicators that Noah is a small child but this was probably the biggest indicator we’ve seen of Noah’s maturity level when he was like “this is how relationships work.”

Again, Yugioh just writing your fanfiction for you--did you want an AU where Mai and Joey’s age wasn’t an issue and she also wasn’t in a coma yet and was uncharacteristically like “lets run off and get married?” because usually you’d have to search Google for that content, but now it’s just here and given to you on a silver platter.

At about the same time they were fully convinced none of this was a real memory, they all ended up back here, minus Kaibas. Joey apparently took the longest amount of time although he had the most bizarre set of memories. He probably just wanted to see where that fic would pan out, but like most fic’s, it kinda stopped updating at about chapter 3 so he gave up on it.

Just a few blocks away, Mokuba and Noah’s playdate from Hell is going according to plan, and Noah is just biding his time before snatching a body. But, before he does, I guess Noah did want to see what happens in this arcade game Moki’s playing because he’s just been standing here admiring Mokuba’s work.

Even Noah at this point is surprised at how deeply Mokuba has Stockholm Syndrome. Noah was just not prepared for how low Mokuba’s expectations are regarding his evil and pathological brothers.

Actual line of the show through this whole ironic experience, Noah just saying “wow...I almost feel bad”

Anyway remember that DDR game--that huge screened DDR game where Tea had a dance fight with Johnny Steps during her date with Yugi?

Did you ever think it would, one and half seasons later, become the scene of a horrific crime?

Did you ever think that the crime that would occur on the inane DDR machine that Tea once had a dance fight on against a guy wearing fringe moccasins would later be the scene of a family betrayal where Mokuba got murdered by his own dead secret older brother?

Because I sure didn’t.

Anyway, now equipped with his ultimate form--a very small kid with hair that weighs more than the kid itself, Noah rises from his grave.

I kind of love evil Moki, not going to lie.

Apparently Moki’s evil in Season 0 so I’ll probs have to go back to that season eventually to get more of that evil Moki fix.

I hope this is the type of scene that will end this entire show, TBH, just a crazy ass Moki cackling over the bodies of every other card player. That would be such a good way to end this series.

Anyway, I don't know whennnn the next update will be. I may update on that later--maybe not, but until we meet again, we’ll just leave evil Moki here in this nearly abandoned SeaQuest, laughing his face off over the sweet tunes of some Plantasia.

What is a random fact about your OC?                                                            He is actually a real soft boah, he just hides it well.

What is their philosophy / what do they think in general about living?                                                                                        They think life is for the taking, that it’s what you make of it. He doesn’t really have a philosophy on life, he just is out there to enjoy it.

What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?                                                                                          I literally just sat down online and made a character I thought looked interesting. Everything is still the same since I made him.

Who is the most important person in their life? Why? Who is the least important to them (that still has an impact and why?                                         Even though he left in a hurry and didn’t get to say proper goodbyes to her, his most important person is still his mother. She did everything she could for him, and always encouraged him to do what makes him happy. The least important person to him is probably the man he tried to steal one of his sheep from. The one that caught him and gave him his scar on his face.

What kind of childhood did your character have?                                               He had a pretty regular childhood minus the lack of a father. Just a kid having fun and being a kid.

What kind of nervous habits do they have? Do they stim? Do they have any kinds of addictions?                                                                                     He just tends to fidget and move on his feet a lot. His only addiction is tobacco becaue….I mean, it’s 1899.

If they could choose their epitaph for their grave, what would they choose?                                                                                                             He lived the way he wanted to

Do they want to get married? Why or why not? Would they ever want kids? Do they have kids? Why?                                                                        This entire set of questions makes him nervous, but deep down he does want kids one day.

What is their most traumatic memory/experience? What is their favorite memory?                                                                                                             Definitely, as mentioned before, how he got his face scar, or when he got attacked by a mountain lion. Their favorite memory is probably when he got his first horse.

If they could have one thing in the world, what would it be?                              He would want to meet his dad.

Would they ever kill someone? What would someone have to do to push them to kill someone? If they would kill someone, why?                                   He…he’s an outlaw.

What social groups and activities does your character attend? What role do they like to play? What role do they actually play, usually?                            I mean he’s in a gang, so of course he sometimes does that acting stuff with Hosea. He likes to play the quiet role because then it’s easier to scope out the score. He usually plays Hosea’s character’s friend/brother/cousin/son/etc.

How is your character’s imagination? Daydreaming a lot? Worried most of the time? Living in memories?                                                                            He has an ok one. He does tend to daydream a lot, especially on guard duty or when looking out on the landscape from horseshoe overlook. He’s usually never worried. He does think back to his time as a child a lot though, when things were easier for him.

What does your character want most? What do they need really badly, compulsively? What are they willing to do, to sacrifice, to obtain?                      He wants to find his dad the most out of anything, he looks up to a man he’s never met and only heard a few stories of. Idk, he always likes new guns and knives. He would roam forever if it meant finding his father.

What’s something that your character does, that other people don’t normally do?                                                                                                         If he’s bored he usually unconsciously moves his thumb up and down a small section of his suspenders.

What would your character do with a million dollars?                                         He would spend it on fancy clothes and upgrades to his weapons, he’s vain af!

What is in your characters refrigerator right now? On their bedroom floor? Nightstand? Garbage can?                                                                                Well he doesn’t have a fridge obviously, but he has some shell casings on his tent floor along with some wood shavings from some small carvings he’s done. He has a picture of his mother and him and that jar of sand from outside his house on his nightstand. 

Your character is getting ready for a night out. Where are they going? What do they wear? Who will they be with?                                                        He’s probably going into town for a mission or just with some of the guys or ladies from camp. He wears either his finest clothes or just what he has now depending on the situation. Oops, already answered that part.

What does your character do when they’re angry? Why?                                 He’ll just kick the dirt and probably go out hunting by himself. He likes to be alone to cool down and have time to think.

Does your character have any scars? Where did they get them from?            I already mentioned his scars before, but I’ll mention his scar on his side again. It’s from one of his first days working on the ranch when he made a young bull mad and it’s horn got his entire side.

What was the most offensive thing your character had ever said?                  Probably something when he was drunk. He can’t remember it but some of the guys in camp always joke about it to him while being vague enough that he doesn’t remember it.

How does your character react/ accept criticism?                                           If it’s done nicely he does, if it’s screamed at him from somebody then he won’t stand for it.

If your character was given a slice of pineapple pizza and they HAD to eat it (or something bad would happen), how would they react? Do they even LIKE pineapple pizza?                                                                                        He doesn’t even know what pizza is, so he would either eat it immediately because he’s curious or he would refuse because he just doesn’t know what it is.

Your character is given a voodoo doll of themself. What do they do with it? Do they see if it actually works?                                                                          He probably immediately pokes it with something sharp to see if it works.

Can your character draw? What do they like to draw? Do they doodle?          He sketches all the time. He likes to draw wildlife and nature scenes. He doesn’t really doodle unless for practice.

What were their parents like? How has that affected how they are as an adult?                                                                                                                His mother was very nurturing and caring. He only knows what he does about his father from the few stories his mother told him growing up and a few things he heard in town about the outlaw. It made him a caring person, he’s just a chaotic dumbass.

Does your character like candy? Do they get sugar rushes? What are they like when they get a rush?                                                                                 Please don’t give him candy, the last time that happened he had so much that it took 3 men to restrain him during his sugar high.

If your character was presented with imminent and unavoidable death/fatality, how would they react? Would they try to avoid death anyways? Would they try to make their last days count?                                  He would be nervous, but he’s always wondered what was on the other side. He would still try to avoid it though. He would either make his last days with the gang his best or he would immediately race out to go on the few leads he had about where his father was last seen.

i was tagged by @fairybrew in this uhhh... literally 3 months ago. and i finally have the brain cells for it. (also i managed to post this once before it was done, oops.)

i’m gonna do this for viridi because i am regrettably very fond of him!

1) What was the first element of your character that you remember considering?

his painting skills, definitely - he initially came to me as an erratic, chaotic neutral sort of character whose paintings came to life. i scrapped and then un-scrapped that last part a few times, but he’s always been a talented painter.

2) Did you design them with any other characters from their universe in mind?

viridi and winter came as a pair from the start! ngl the way they play off each other is,,, highkey one of my favorite things about tmr right now.

3) How did you chose their name?

viridi is taken from the latin for green + he has green eyes! (a number of people irl have misheard it as verity, which is also ironic, since he’s cursed to always tell the truth, you know, allegedly.)

4) In developing their backstory, what elements of their world played the most influential part?

mmmmmm his ENTIRE backstory is spoilers but. monarchy and gender roles.

5), 6), 7) Is there any significance behind their hair color/eye color/height?

only his eye color! roughly the same shade of green as a blood-drinking forest, but i’m sure it’s fine.

8) What do you relate to within their character/story? / 9) Are they based off you in any way?

i Joak and Jeste about how much of a bastard viridi is, but he’s definitely the character i project on the most. he struggles a lot with others’ expectations and his own sense that he’s trapped and doomed. no spoilers, but his whole arc is about learning how to remake himself and live, + writing that has been... really... really... cathartic.

10) Did you know what your character’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

god viridi 1.0 was cishet and i don’t want to think about that

11) What have you found is the most difficult art form in creating your character?

i’m not really sure what this means? viridi is a hard character for me to grapple with in general because 1) he says everything except what he means and 2) if i don’t balance his personality and struggles, he’ll verge into either “Edgy McEdgelord” or “tragic baby who did nothing wrong,” which... is a little impressive, actually. good on you, viridi.

12) How far past canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story?

not at all! i know roughly how things end up for him, but i don’t have any intention of planning out the tmr crew’s lives after the story.

13) If you had to narrow it down to 2 things you MUST keep in mind while working with this OC, what would they be?

1: his style of speaking - lying has always been a skill of his, and even when he physically can’t lie, he never says anything outright. it’s always singsongy dancing around the truth. a lot of the time, it’s a defense mechanism )he’s buried under 7 layers of trauma and fake personalities) but he’s also just generally contrary.

2: he does genuinely care about other people. he’s not heartless. what he is is selfish. viridi loves his friends more than he would ever admit, but if it comes down to the wire, he’s always going to save his own skin.

14) What is something about your OC that makes you laugh?

he loves his bird so so so much. its name is cora. he holds one-sided conversations with it. privately, he projects his own emotions on it. he can do this because he painted it into life.

15) What is something about your OC that makes you cry?

the forbidden backstory!!! i open my document like “time to bully viridi haha” and i’m crying within 20 minutes

16) Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?

not that i can think of! there are a few details about how viridi copes with his mental illness that i might change in the second draft, but i haven’t decided.

17) What is the most recent thing that you’ve discovered about your OC?

he prides himself on being sarcastic + clever + psychoanalyzing people well, which are all things that are true, but he is also terrible at social interaction. his aloofness is disguised awkwardness. he can look at you for four (4) seconds and determine your most private insecurities, but he has no idea what your facial expressions mean or how you feel about him, personally.

18) Favorite OC fact?

all of him but mostly how much he loves winter. she turns her sunshine gaze on this stinky little bastard and she’s like “we are now best friends!!!” and he’s like “acceptable, i agree”

Character Creation Tag

Thanks @lemon-i-scream! This should be a lot of fun. So I’m going to be doing Kiya, the captain of the Second Star in my WIP of the same name. 

1) What was the first element of your character that you remember considering?

Um... probably just the general idea of her? That she had once been a soldier and then had gotten pulled into this new life out of no real choice for herself. 

2) Did you design them with any other characters from their universe in mind?

Hm... I’m not quite sure? I may have changed parts of her personality in order to have her mesh better with my other characters, but I can’t really think of anything in particular. 

3) How did you choose their name?

I literally just looked up her name meaning just now because I can’t remember, and am not finding any results for particular meanings, so I probably just thought it sounded nice.  

4) In developing their backstory, what elements of their world played the most influential part?

The constant war. A very important part of her story is that (spoiler - kinda) Kiya was drafted into it and didn’t really have a choice in the matter, and that theme just kinda pervaded everything else. 

5) Is there any significance behind their hair color?

She has brown hair, and no. Part of it was that I wanted her to be plainer, but mostly it was just because. 

6) Eye color?

Brown, and again no particular significance beyond going well with her hair. 

7) Height?

Man, I have no idea, and I can’t even remember if I’ve written about it at all. I think she’s moderately tall, so maybe around 5′8 to 5′10? Enough that she’s vaguely imposing, but not really noticeable. 

8) What do you relate to within their character/story?

Hm. Weirdly enough (considering that I tend to majorly relate to my characters) the only thing I can really think of here is that she has no idea why people like her? Like, she freaks out when she thinks about it, because it makes no sense to her.

9) Are they based off you in any way?

Not much, really. Which, again, is weird. Maybe just the fact that she’s internally screaming most of the time. 

10) Did you know what your character’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

Yes. She’s gay, and I definitely knew that in regards to her backstory. I wasn’t actually expecting it to come up beyond that, but then she decided she was going to get involved with another character and I just rolled with it. 

11) What have you found is the most difficult art form in creating your character?

Hmm... no idea. Maybe drawing, since I’m terrible at it. 

12) How far past canon events that take place in their world have you extended their backstory?

About ten years? Maybe? There’s an instigating point about three years before canon events, but it’s ongoing before that. 

13) If you had to narrow it down to 2 things you MUST keep in mind while working with this OC, what would they be?

She has no idea what she’s doing, and she cares way too much for her own comfort.

14) What is something about your OC that makes you laugh?

15) What is something about your OC that makes you cry?

That is spoiler territory, and I’m not going there. Suffice it to say that it’s worth crying about. 

16) Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?

Not that I can think of? I’m still in first draft territory, so I’ve just edited anything like that out. And the one thing I can think of that I did wasn’t necessarily related to her, so...

17) What is the most recent thing that you’ve discovered about your OC?

She constantly walks a fine line between done with everyone’s shit and wanting to laugh hysterically at the world.

Um... She is 100% secretly a nerd, though what exactly she’s a fan of I haven’t figured out yet.

HEY guys! Haven’t been here for ages, really, sorry :( I think I’ll try to use my art blog more in 2018. I haven’t posted much art, either, because this year I worked on a lot of zines (i think 9? woah!) so it’s just been previews galore. some notes: 

- I think 2017 is the record for most completed pieces I did in a year! I did ~15 full artworks in May and finished 2 portfolios from scratch in a week each (Sheridan, OCAD) in FEB/MAR. 

- I also did my first HUGE canvas piece this year that I sadly didn’t finish; it’s of my OCs. 

- did NOT work on webcomic at all, oops. 2018 goal: do a comic, pls. you love panelling.

- I made a lot of technical progress in the first third of the year, then I really dropped the ball come summer. 

- In the fall I realized that without knowing it, I’d taken a break from art. I hadn’t drawn except for zine deadlines in months. A little earlier, I decided I was taking a break from zines to focus on personal art. That didn’t really happen, and I was feeling a bit burnt out. After lots of internal conflict (I was in art school, finally, and I was taking a break?) I decided to not force myself to work on art and by November I’d comfortably slipped back into drawing in my sketchbook. 

- I still haven’t found a stream-lined art process, though I’m happy with the lineless style I find myself comfortably slipping into. Lots of experimenting this year though—each zine piece I tried to experiment with something new, and I did! Zines really pushed me to do finished pieces. 

- I’m really proud of JAN-MAY and I hope that in 2018 I return to that level of productivity!

- I learned to use cool colours for shadows (MARCH) then forgot then remembered again (NOV). 

- Did a lot of pieces with open sky comps and negative spaces! (MAY, AUG, SEP)

- created my first washi tape design (AUG) + printed my first zine  

- I TABLED again, and profitted more than last time! 2018 goal is to table again again

a LOT more OC/Original work this year; over half of what I created was OG content. Which I’m glad for! I really took a break from active fandom this year, I’m playing it by ear to see if I’ll be returning. Kiyoyachis are still going strong in my art though :’) 

I get a lot more wordy in my notes every year, comp.ed to my  2015 summary , 2016 summary :’)

She’s The X: Chapter 3

Summary: Based on the movie ‘She’s the Man’ - OC fills in for her brother at a performing arts school because of the pursuit of his dream in Los Angeles. However, she finds herself trying to balance love and the pursuit of her own dream to become a dancer while keeping her secret.

Chapter One | Chapter Two

(♡ A/N: I know I was referring to Shownu as Hyunwoo but I’ve now changed it to Shownu to make it easier to differentiate and minimize any mistakes on my part.)

☆      It was noon the next day when I sat on the cold tiled floor of the dance room waiting for my name to be called. The dance instructor Mr. Jung, was a really nice face to be greeted with. He had done a brief introduction of himself in which he revealed his full name was Jung Ji Hoon but that as a dancer he was known as Rain. He looked about 30 something but that didn’t stop all the girls from eyeing him, including myself. As the rest of the girls were giggling amongst themselves, I had to keep my excitement internal. This is going to be a challenge.

I was so caught up in Mr. Jung that it took me a few minutes too notice a familiar face sitting across the room. Wonho. He’s a dancer?

Mr. Jung interrupted my thoughts as he announced that we would be put into groups and be given one hour to prepare a dance to a song of his choosing in order for him to determine who would be passing the try outs. I had come prepared; this was my chance. I looked over at Wonho and furrowed my brows. Is he actually good? I expected him to be more into working out or sports.

“Kihyun! Where’s Kihyun?” I snap out of my trance and look up at Mr. Jung who is searching the room intensely. Oh right! That’s me. I raise my hand and he looks over at me with a frown before motioning towards a group of students standing at one corner of the room. I quickly make my way over to my designated group and give the others a small smile.

In the end, Wonho and I were placed in different groups. Our group was given the song ‘Treat You Better’ by Shawn Mendes and we decided to pair off our 6 members into 3 pairs. Each couple would dance with each other as we all followed the same choreography – telling the same story. A story that depicts each male dancer fighting for a one sided love with each female dancer. We tried our best for the time given, making sure that our dancing emitted emotions even if we weren’t able to make it complex. It was my first time playing the male part of a dance so it was a bit odd. I wondered how much I needed to change my dance style. If I needed to change my dance style. Do I dance like a girl? It was my umpteenth struggle of the day.

After our time limit, we all took a seat on the floor and watched as Wonho’s group took the front of the room first. His group was given the song ‘If It Ain’t Love’ by Jason Derulo. I direct my eyes towards Wonho unintentionally as soon as the music begins filling the studio. I notice his gaze change from one of gentleness to one of enticement. I watch his body flows with the music, making good use of his hips. His moves are smooth but not lacking in precision. He executes each move without compromising his expression. If looks could cut glass, the boy wearing glasses beside me would be in great pain right now. I feel my jaw drop a bit as I watch in greater concentration, leaning forward subconsciously. I notice a couple of girls giggling among themselves as Wonho comes to the front of the group’s formation but his gaze is elsewhere. I almost believed it was directed at me but I look over to my right and realize he’s staring at my partner – a girl named Bora. She was a pretty brunette who was quite talented as far as I could tell. I looked back at Wonho who shot a wink at Bora as he smirked before moving into his next position in his group’s formation.

“Ugh. He’s such a player” I hear Bora mumble. I look over at her and she smiles at me bashfully, realizing I’ve heard her. I turn my attention back to the performance. Is he really that much of a player? I wasn’t sure of it but I was sure of one thing. He was my biggest competition.

Once it came time to my group’s performance, I took my position opposite of Bora and she gave me a bright smile, causing me to give her one in return. As I did so however, I noticed Wonho glaring in my direction out of the corner of my eye and I cleared my throat to divert my awkwardness. Oops.

During our performance however, I didn’t let Wonho’s possible feelings for my partner or my personal gender identity secret impact my ability to fully perform to the best of my ability. I was determined to show Mr. Jung that I could be an asset to this dance team and to prove to myself that I could make it on an elite dance team. As the final few seconds of our performance dawns near, I take hold of Bora’s hand and pull her into my chest before wrapping my arms around her and I take one last glance at the audience over her shoulder. As I do, I coincidentally make eye contact with Wonho who is sitting front row. We maintain our gazes as the final lyrics string out. Rather than anger or jealousy, I notice an emotion I can’t exactly decipher but it surprises me. Before I can make it out however, he looks away with a frown and the rest of the students begin to clap for us. I realize at that moment that I’ve been holding Bora awfully close and I can only depend on my binder so much. I quickly pull away and let out a nervous laugh as I smile at her.

“Great job Kihyun! You’re amazing!” she beams before asking for a high five, which I gladly give her. I smile one last time before looking over at Wonho who is staring at me with a look of fury. I look away and follow my group back to sit with everyone else. Oh god…

It’s after try outs and I’m lying on my bed when I hear a knock on the door. I get up and open the door to see Hyungwon and Shownu.

“Sup” Hyungwon says raising his hand before entering the room, followed by Shownu who gives me an eye smile and a wave, “Hi, hello”

Flustered by the unexpected entrance, I close the door and rub my arm.

“Wonho’s not here right now” I say.

“I know” Hyungwon says as he opens a drawer from Wonho’s desk and pulls out a bag of chips as he and Shownu sit down on the floor in front of the tv and he offers the bag to Shownu who takes a handful of chips. I quietly take a seat on the edge of my bed and watch as Hyungwon turns on the tv and searches for a show to peak his interest.

Maybe they’ll know what Bora is to Wonho…

“Hey, can I ask you guys something?”

“Hmm” Hyungwon moans in response, letting me know to carry on.

“Who’s Bora?”

Hyungwon –who’s in the middle of stuffing a chip in his mouth, stops and drops his hand slowly before closing his mouth and speaking.

“Wonho’s crush since middle school. She’s off limits.” He says, eyeing me, as if to search for my intentions, before looking back at the tv and stuffing his mouth with the chip he still had in his hand. I nod slowly. That explains it… so he does like her.

“But they’re not dating? Has he tried to make a pass at her?”

Hyungwon snorts, “Yeah, but not effectively”

Shownu chuckles, his only contribution to this conversation.

“Wonho? Wonho not being able to talk to his crush” I smile in amusement, “How’s that possible?”

“I know, right? If I looked like him…” Hyungwon mumbles before jumping a bit as he finds a suitable show.

I look down. Does Wonho have confidence issues…? And at that moment, as if the universe were putting an end to my assumption, Wonho enters the dorm room wearing only sweatpants. His hair is wet and I imagine he’s just come from the showers. He catches a glance of me but avoids all eye contact as he walks over to his desk, grabbing a bottle of cologne and spritzing himself with it.

“How was try outs?” Shownu pipes up as he turns to look in Wonho’s direction.

“Fine” Wonho responds without turning, “Kihyun was there too”

Shownu and Hyungwon turn to look at me before Hyungwon pipes up, “You dance?”

I nod, “Yeah. It’s why I came here.” I look over at Wonho and bite down on my lip before speaking up again, “Wonho, hey, I didn’t-”, but he cuts me off.

“Hyungwon did you get Mr. Kim for algebra?” he asks as he sits down on his desk chair and leans his forearm on the back of it to look back at Hyungwon.

“The guy who looks like he should be a student rather than a teacher? Yeah I got him. 3rd period.”

“Oh, we have him together”

“What about you Kihyun?” Shownu looks over at me with a smile.

“Oh… uh… I haven’t checked my schedule yet” I reply as I take my schedule out of my bag. Shownu grabs the schedule from me and scans it over.

“Wow… he has Mr. Kim too”

Wonho and I make eye contact briefly before he turns around and grabs a book from his desk.

“Woopdy-doo” Hyungwon chimes with fake enthusiasm.

12. How patient is your OC? How hot-headed are they?

Shuichi’s pretty patient. You kinda have to be when observing birds LAUGHS Even with people, they’re fairly patient-sure they can get faintly irritated at them if they start off on the really wrong foot, but mostly they try to be patient. 

After all, if you’re patient, you can get your business and interaction done with quicker, no?

19. What kind of music do they listen to? Do they have a favorite song?

Hmm...I’d say a lot of Video Game OSTS just because they play video games a lot, but their preferred genre would be like....instrumentals? Or just really soft, soothing music.

Favorite song...I don’t think they have one specific favorite, but they love the Animal Crossing: New Leaf OST a lot so let’s just say that one.

25. What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?

Uh. Well....they were initially a randomized dreamselfy that I liked the design of. I saw the bird and went “hey they could be someone who studies birds” and that’s how they came to be....

They haven’t changed too much from what I’d first envisioned personality and design-wise. It’s the backstory that’s really changed but I can’t talk about that oops.

TL;DR I got really lucky with a randomized dreamselfy. That’s...the case with a lot of my ocs actually LAUGHS....
