#it's... really interesting working around these parts sometimes#i'm pretty sure only myself and 1 other person actively go to church from my work#but there's a real undercurrent of faith which is sometimes lowkey syncretist and sometimes pops up unexpected#tbh sometimes a stronger belief in the supernatural than my own#today in the staff meeting one of our nurses said 'hey i can feel we're all drained the energy in this room is not what it was we're all#burned out post covid#so i called a chaplain this morning can we get him in to bless the building'#and like. the ultimate reason she made this happen was our coworker broke her arm yesterday#like i think she had been feeling it for a while but was like 'right i need to make this happen'#...not something i would have expected as a solution?#the particular name she mentioned is a retired minita in the haahi mihinare church who happens to be a patient here#sure?
