I'm getting new glasses after having these ones for five years
#aimie rambles#the optometrist was like “okay these are old old look at the yellowing in the coatings on these”#and I responed “yeah a lot of people think I have brown eyes until I take my glasses off” and laughed but the optometrist looked sad#girl it's okay I'm coping#it would be nice if my new and slightly different prescription won't give me weird yellow highlighter halos on the bottom of things#that was really hard to adjust to#made stairs almost impossible to navigate#it was like anything with perpendicular lines?#which is a lot#you don't realise how many things are rectangular until you get visual hallucinations at the bottom of anything rectangular#but I'm worried I might just have a different weird halo effect because the entire test all of the dots they have you look at had a halo#but if I can see just a bit clearer I can deal with visual effects#and also#the optometrist took 3d scans of my eyeballs#which was so cool to look at#they now make topography maps of the surface of your eyes!#also looked wt my optic nerve a bit#it's a bit messed up (because my eyeballs are an odd shape) which explains why I get headaches often
