Marilyn Thornhill x Fem! Reader
Tumblr media
Description: You fall asleep in Miss Thornhill's class, wake up in her room handcuffed to her bed.
TW: tethers, sexually explicit content, fluff ______________________________________________________________
You were in your botany teacher's class, Marilyn Thornhill, you hadn't slept at night and you really didn't care much for hearing about plants at the time.
You were a bit of a rebel, Weems was starting to get tired of you, and Thornhill, as your dorm mom, had a serious talk with you many times.
"Y/N" the redhead called you interrupting her class, she had a serious look and her arms crossed.
"Yes, Miss Thornhill?" you asked in a falsely sweet tone. You loved her, but you weren't in the mood.
"Can you get your feet off the desk?"
You had an arrogant posture, your legs were crossed while your feet rested on the desk "I'm sorry, I don't want to" you replied.
She adjusted her glasses with her left hand and returned to her previous posture before letting out a small laugh "It wasn't a question, Y/N." She spoke in a tone you had never heard before and you shuddered.
"He can't be serious!" you complained.
"I'm very serious, Miss Night."
You decided to obey her and lowered your feet from the desk, you didn't want your classmates to have more reasons to generate meaningless gossip about you. Besides, the situation gave you a little chills, Miss Thornhill never behaved like that and you were pushing her buttons enough for now.
Although apparently you didn't care enough because after a few minutes you fell asleep in your seat.
. . .
When you woke up you saw how your vision was cloudy and your body ached a bit, you didn't remember anything and the light was blinding you.
You heard a distorted voice in the distance and little by little it became better heard, your sight returned to normal and you noticed that you were in a room you didn't know. You desperately tried to move and yoursed as you felt a burning sensation burn your wrists, you were tied to the head of a bed with ropes too tight for you to move, but not tight enough to cut off your circulation.
"Fuck!" You yelled and saw the person who had kidnapped you look at you with a strange smile on her face.
"Hi Y/N" she greeted you with a chuckle "How did you sleep...I hope you didn't have nightmares" she spoke in a childish tone pouting.
"Awesome" you scoffed.
"How nice" she said.
"What do you want from me?" you asked.
The person smiled like a Cheshire cat and you felt a familiar warmth build up in your belly, you had fantasized about his touch, his fingers inside you, his mouth fucking you.
"You see... I can seem very good but the truth is that, if I want to, if I put my mind to it, I can be very bad" she spoke and you noticed how she looked so different without her glasses, she no longer seemed innocent and shy "but in the good sense, sure," he scoffed.
"You haven't answered my question" you replied and she approached you dangerously slowly until she was kneeling on the bed.
"And you haven't understood who's really in control here, pet." That sentence sent waves of heat through your already throbbing core.
"Fuck, Marilyn.. you're fucking hot when you're mad" you said stunned by her beauty, the fact that her body wasn't wearing her usual blue robe but a black lingerie set didn't help in the least.
"How cute" she said and you saw her pull a knife out of her lace stockings.
"Wh-what are you going to do with that...?" you whispered.
She laughed "Calm down, I'm not going to kill you" she informed and you didn't know how to feel.
Suddenly she began to tear your clothes with the knife until she left you only in your underwear.
"Tell me honey... do you like to think of my fingers fucking you like a slut while you moan for mommy like a good girl?" he said in your ear and you moaned. "do you want mommy to ruin you?" he asked and you nodded desperately " Use your words, honey."
"yes, mommy.. please.. fuck me.." you begged.
"Well, if you ask me so nicely, my good girl." Her fingers trailed down to your ruined panties and yanked on the elastic until they were completely off. Her finger started to stimulate your clit and you moaned from the overstimulation, she was torturing you in the most lustful way.
"I love how your little body reacts to me.. you're so good, taking me like a good girl" her fingers sank into your wet sex and you gasped, Marilyn pumped her fingers in and out and your hips moved in unison in search of more.
"Oww.. m-mommy.. I'm so close.." you said.
"Then come for me, honey" she spoke and you felt your orgasm wash over you.
When you thought that was going to be all she watched as she reached down and spread your legs for more access and her tongue circled your clit in circles, then she moved up to your sex and fucked you until you felt like you would have another orgasm.
Her body lifted and she brought her mouth to your lips and she kissed you furiously while she was fucking you with her fingers, you moaned into her mouth and arched your back, you wanted to touch her but your hands were handcuffed and did not allow you to move them. His lips went down to your breasts and he left wet kisses all over, he played with your nipples and your second orgasm flooded you, your thighs were a mess just like your aroused sex, your legs were shaking and you didn't stop making lustful noises from your mouth .
"I can't... I can't anymore..." you said hoarsely.
"Oh no, pet. You'll take what I give you like a good girl and do it right, you hear me?", she asked and you nodded. "
Y-yes, ma'am..." you replied.
"Good girl. Just let me know if she's too much for you and we'll stop, okay," the redhead informed you.
"Yes... I will" you said.
Marilyn nodded silently and inserted two fingers into your center, she made several strokes touching your exact spot while you took her like a good girl, her good girl. She smiled as you squirmed under her commanding touch and you thought she was the most beautiful and terrifyingly hot woman you had ever seen in your life.
"M-Marilyn.." you moaned her name "...I need to..".
"Hold on a little longer, honey.. you're being so nice" she murmured.
Marilyn stimulated you a little more until she gave you permission to cum and you felt your whole body thirst before her.
"What a good girl" she praised her and she moved a little away from you so she could untie you.
"Who knew that the shy botany teacher could be so dominant and hot?" you scoffed as you sat up on the bed.
"Shut up" he laughed "I know you love it".
"I like you, Marilyn..." you said.
"I know... I like you too" she said and she smiled a little blushing, then she was the same old Marilyn Thornhill again.
"Well, it's good that in a few days it's the prom... are you coming with me?" you asked him and he was surprised.
"Are you serious?".
"S-sorry.. I.. it's okay if you don't want to" you said swallowing your words.
"What?! Are you kidding? Of course I want to come with you!"She almost yelled excitedly.
"Okay, it's a date then" you said.
"A date...sounds good" she spoke.
It sounded perfect.

I take a bite of my grilled chicken, "What do you mean I have vampiric blood in me? How is that even possible? I thought vampires couldn't procreate unless they bite someone?" I stare at my best friend and roommate, who is double major in Folklore and Mythology along with Biology, specifically the study of humans. "Look, you remember how I took that blood sample from you?" "You mean when I had accidentally opened a scab and you stole the bandaid afterwards?" I point my fork at her, "Disgusting by the way."
"You don't like needles! What was I suppose to do?"
"I.. don't know. But not steal a used bandaid out of the trash."
"I just... whatever. It doesn't matter, what matters, is that the reason you fit into our world so easily, other than because of family connections, is because somewhere in your family lineage, someone procreated with a vampire." My roommate responds in a hushed whisper, as we were in the food court and could get in trouble for talking of our world so openly that someone could overhear. "I haven't had my 'Mythology' class yet, so I haven't had the chance to ask Professor Venwynn about it yet," she puts air quotes around the word Mythology.
I sigh and lean against the back of the booth we're seated in, "Look. There is nothing special about me. I'm just an average college student, trying to make it through college without having a mental breakdown every 10 minutes. Just because I've been told I have ancient family connections doesn't mean I'm special."
"Okay, but think about it. You can't swim -"
"But I love rivers and the ocean. You know vamps can't cross running water, I have no problem doing it.
"You really like meat. Remember that summer when we were 15 and you tried to go vegetarian? You got so sick, the healers didn't know what was wrong."
"Okay, but I don't eat bloody steak. Mine are usually medium or so."
"You don't like religious architecture,"
"They stole it from other cultures and then claim it's theirs."
"And you get sunburned way too easily."
"I have a lot of European ancestry, and the biggest part of it is Irish.
"Exactly! It all seems normal, but what if it's normal because it's in your blood?"
I sighed, again, there was no way she will drop it, "Fine. Ask your questions. Make your speculations, but I refuse to believe it until you have solid evidence."
She perked up and clapped her hands. Sometimes she can be so smart and serious, I forget her child-like first impression, with her 5 foot nothing height. How I made friends with a fey always confuses me. The only reason I am part of our world is my family has elven ancestry on my mom's side, supposedly. But then great-great-great-great-grandma fell in love with a human, effectively making me 1/32 elven.
"Come on, we've got classes still." I stand up to my full 6 feet, pick up our trash, and walk it to the bin while she gathers her purse and sweater. Sometimes, blending into the human world is exhausting. But, as we have been doing it since high school, and we're almost done with our 4th year of college, it comes second nature. She bounces up to me and nestles herself into my side under my arm, "Let's go to class, Lily." "Of course, Ellie"
You have Vampiric Blood running through your veins. However, that blood comes from quite a few generations back, so all it really means is that you like eating meat, can’t swim, get mildly annoyed by religious architecture, and get sunburned really easily.

When a game is over and all hidden things have been found, what is there left to do? Move on. That's what you would have liked to have done after finishing the disappointing secret ending of a popular otome game. But when the story is over, and all things were said and done, you find yourself trapped in that very game. Faced with the task to keep everyone alive, can you make it to the end without falling in love?
Long read ahead
Chapter Twelve
Misconceptions Cleared
Monday came faster than you hoped it would. This past weekend had been the most fun you’ve had since coming to this world, but now it was time to get back to the plot because, despite how normal he seemed to act, Akui Minato was still an unpredictable factor who you knew for a fact was capable of killing for the smallest of reasons. This week Suzuki Kaito will fall in love with Yuki, and you need to come up with a way to stop that from happening.
You didn’t plan on waking up early that morning, Makino was already saved so there was really no reason to get up extra early just to make it to class early enough to watch her. Your mother had different plans though.
“Y/n, wake up, your father’s taking you to school today,” your mother said from her place at your door.
Listlessly, you sat up in bed. “Taking me to school? But doesn’t he have work…?” you questioned through a yawn, wiping away the sleepiness from your eyes.
“Oh he still has work, that’s why you need to hurry and get ready so that you two can leave on time.”
“Leave on time…?” you mumbled, brain still trying to wake up. “What time is it anyways?” You crane your neck to catch a glimpse of your alarm clock. “Seven-twenty!? Mama!” In an instant, all tiredness left your body as you snapped your head back to face your mom. “It’s so early, why does Dad need to take me anyways?”
Already expecting this reaction, your mother already took the liberty to start walking away, leading to you having to chase after her as she said, “I don’t trust the management of that school of yours, and if it wasn’t the only school close enough that took your exam scores then I would have transferred you already. So for the time being, your father will be taking you to school. Besides,” we were already down stairs and in the dining room, “walking around too much isn’t good for you.”
“But I was walking around just fine Saturday.”
“Yes, but by the time you got back home you looked and acted completely exhausted. Your doctor wanted you to take things easily for a while, you’re lucky I even let you leave at all. Now then,” she said, pulling out a chair, “hurry and eat so that you can get ready for school.”
‘I just got played, didn’t I?’
After begrudgingly finishing off your breakfast, you dragged your feet to your room so that you could get dressed. Along the way, you figured that you should probably text Yuki that you won’t be able to walk with them for the foreseeable future. You already tried asking if your father could pick up the two along the way, but you were immediately shot down with the excuse that he barely had enough time to drop you off, so picking up your classmates was out of the question.
‘Let me walk to school then if it’s such a hassle…’ you thought with a pout having just finished putting on the uniform’s red bow. Now that you actually put the entire uniform on, it finally set in that you would be going back to school after being in that whole fiasco last week. "Great, I’m going to get clombered again with all those nosy student’s questions.”
You shot a quick text to Yuki and briefly explained the situation. If this was still in the game's plot then Yuki would be wide awake right now from the excitement and resolve of her new goal to find the murderer, but no murder happened, so you can assume she is still peacefully sleeping right now. She will surely be late again.
‘That’s how it should be,’ you thought bitterly to yourself. ‘If it wasn’t for Akui’s selfish actions the lives of these innocent people wouldn’t have to change so drastically. I will make sure that no harm will come to anybody here, so that the only thing people like Yuki will have to worry about is oversleeping and being late to class’
The drive to school was probably the shortest drive you have ever been on. What was originally about a ten minute walk turned into less than a three minute drive. You were so early that the person in charge of opening the school's gate was just barely opening it, and it wasn’t even eight yet. On the bright side it gave you loads of time before hoards of students started bombarding you with questions and concerns.
You waved goodbye to your father, wondering what you’re going to do for the next forty minutes, when a sleek-black car pulled up. You were about to question who else could be here this early in the morning when it struck you. There is only one person you could think of who was willing to be this early to school. Fukumoto Akihiko.
Just as you predicted, it was indeed Akihiko who stepped out of the fancy, and no doubt expensive, car. He said a few words to his chauffeur before closing the door and straightening his back, locking eyes with you in that moment. His eyes widened for only a fraction of a second before he went back to his composed persona. “Hello, L/n-san, you’re quiet early today, even under normal circumstances. Is there an important occasion?”
“No, nothing like that. It’s just my Mom doesn't trust the school anymore, or something like that, so she had my Dad drop me off before work,” you replied. “He goes to work early which means I need to be at school early.”
“I see…” Akihiko looked like he wanted to say something else but was hesitant, so you decided to wait for him to continue, which he did by adding a quick, “How are you feeling?” His face showed that of concern mixed with what you could only assume was regret. Clearly, he felt that he was in some way responsible for what happened to you, which you could understand especially after what he told you last week.
“I’m doing much better now, thanks for asking, but some things are gonna need more time to fully heal,” you said in response, referring not only to your cast bound hand but also your mental health. What Makino did to you was still something that you were trying to get over, coupled with the ever looming threat of Akui, there was an unshakable feeling of being overwhelmed that you did your best to bury.
Despite the polite smile that you wore on your face, the look in your eyes clearly told Akihiko that you were somewhere else entirely, at least mentally you were. He felt like there was something he could say or do to comfort and help you, but at the same time there was a distance between the two of you that kept him from reaching out. You are just classmates after all, at least for now.
Realizing that you were spacing out, you quickly shook your head to rid yourself of any negative thoughts. “Anyways, I’m probably going to walk around for a bit, enjoy the peace before the interrogation.”
“Interrogation?” Akihiko questioned with the slightest tilt of his head and quirk of his brow.
“Oh, sorry, it’s nothing. That’s just what I have taken to calling the bomb rush of questions that our classmates have for me every time I come back from an injury I sustained,” you sheepishly admitted, shifting your weight slightly between each foot and avoiding eye contact.
Akihiko seemed to grimace slightly at the thought of those students, rolling his eyes as he said, “Yes, now I understand what you mean. They clearly don’t have any respect for the feelings of others and lack any basic etiquette. Not only are they a disturbance but are clearly making you uncomfortable as well.” It seems that this particular group of gossiping students really got on Akihiko’s nerves. With an irritated huff, he pushed up his glasses and said, “I have some things I need to handle before going back to class, so I hope you enjoy your walk, and I’ll see you in class then.” He gave a curt bow, which you reciprocated, before walking away.
Despite how hurried and irritated he seemed as he left, you knew that he didn’t mean any offense by it. Bad manners was something he couldn’t stand, and the students that tended to bombard you clearly demonstrated those bad manners, so in a way you could understand his irritability. ‘Still though,’ you begin to think to yourself, ‘he needs to learn how to handle his emotions better if he plans on taking over his father’s company. Even if I wasn’t offended by his attitude near the end, someone else easily could.’ You gently chided him in your head. ‘Too bad we aren’t close enough for me to tell him that myself.’
Now that you were alone again, you decided that it was time to do what you originally planned with all this extra free time that you had; you were going to explore the school using the layout that Akihiko provided for you last week. You still had trouble remembering where everything was, probably due to the fact that you have only been in school for one whole day since coming here. There was never any time for you to properly utilize the layout sheet like you originally wanted, so you figured that you might as well make good use of this free time that you found yourself with.
The school itself was a pretty decent size, with three floors and structured in a popular square way. Understanding how the hallways worked was pretty simple as most year groups were either down the same hall or on the same floor. There were, of course, a few exceptions like the Home Economics classroom, the science labs, and a few other rooms that weren’t grade specific. Some of the more popular clubs also had rooms to themselves. You also were able to figure out where the teacher’s lounge was, which would definitely be helpful if you ever need to find them.
As you continued to walk around you were always mindful of the times so that you wouldn’t be late, but you also didn’t want to arrive too early because if you did then you would surely be surrounded by that mob again. Eventually, you started to feel a bit peckish from all the walking and figured that it wouldn’t hurt to buy a simple drink from the vending machines that you came across that rested beneath an underpass.
You heard about how big on vending machines Japan was but you never expected for them to be this diverse. The wide variety of drink options ranging from different teas, juices, and milk options; you didn’t know what to pick. Many of which were brands that you never heard of, and you didn’t want to waste your money on something that you turned out to not like.
“Maybe milk would be the safest option…” you ponder quietly to yourself. “But then again juice would be tastier…”
“Having trouble there?”
“ACk!” A hand flew up to your mouth to try and cover for the loud, high pitched sound that left your mouth. Your hair tickled your cheek with how quickly you turned to face the boy who scared you, who actually turned out to be Kaneko Fuyuhiko.
“My bad, my bad. I didn’t mean to startle you like that,” he said with a good natured chuckle.
“Kaneko-kun? What brings you here?” you asked with a hand placed over your chest to calm your heart.
“I happened to see you standing around and figured it was a good time to talk to you, I mean, without your guard dog around you, that is.”
“Guard dog? What do you-oh! Are you talking about Kobayashi-chan?” you asked in a breathy tone, clearly trying to suppress a laugh.
It seemed Fuyuhiko also found the notion humorous, as he also had to suppress a chuckle of his own when he spoke. “Yeah, sorry if that came out as rude, but you have to admit the nickname suits her.”
“It’s no worries, but it’s probably a good idea to not call her that to her face.”
“You’re probably right, anyways, what are you doing?” Fuyukiho asked, side-eyeing the vending machines you stood next to. “Picking out a drink?” Tentatively, you began to rub the nape of your neck as you said, “Yeah, I’m just a bit indecisive about what I want. There are so many choices, and I feel like I want to try something different, but I also don’t want to waste my money on a drink I won’t like.” You had brought a hand up to your chin now, staring very thoughtfully at the vending machines.
Fuykiho found your seriousness to be both amusing and endearing and couldn’t help but chuckle at your expression. “Here,” he started, “why don’t I pick out a drink for you to try, I’ll pay for it, so that way you don’t have to feel like you wasted any money if you turn out to not like it.”
“Oh, no, I couldn’t. You really shouldn’t have to--” you tried to protest but he was already inserting the correct amount of money and clicked a button before you could even finish.
“Now it’s paid for, and here,” he held out the drink, “this is for you.” He wore such a proud smile that you didn’t have the heart to reject his offer, so you took the drink. Turning it around in your hand, you discover that it was a strawberry milk tea that he selected. The bottle was cool to the touch. “Go ahead, try it,” Fuyuhiko said with a nod of his head.
You side-eyed him as you hesitantly cracked the top of the bottle before taking a tentative sip of the drink. The first thing you noticed was how sweet the drink actually was. The strawberry flavor was subtle but still present as the drink had an overall refreshing taste to it without the expected artificial taste that strawberry flavored things tended to have. ‘This isn’t half bad.’
“So,” Fuyuhiko drawled expectantly, “how is it?”
You hummed in thought, pretending to have to think about it even though you already knew that you liked the drink. “I’d say it’s pretty decent.”
“Really? Just decent?”
“Yup, just decent.”
“Alright then, Miss Just Decent, class will be starting soon, so do you want to walk together?”
Slightly surprised with the sudden offer, you think about it for a moment before agreeing. “Sure, as long as we take the longer route.”
“Oh, does someone want to spend more time with me?” Fuyuhiko cheekily asked with a slightly flirty undertone. “Why, L/n-chan, I’m flattered.”
You could feel the heat rising up through your neck after realizing how you just sounded. “I-I don’t mean it like that! I just didn’t want to get to class too early because of how many people usually swarm me.” With each passing second of your rambling you could feel your face grow hotter and hotter. “Not that walking with you is such a bad thing, of course. You’ve been very nice to me so far, and I don’t mean to offend you or anything. You know what? Imma stop talking now…” You finished off, picking up your pace with short and quick steps.
“Wait, hold up,” he said with a chuckle, picking up his own pace to catch up with you. “I was wondering where that shy girl I first met was.”
“Hm? What do you mean?” you asked, having calmed down after noting he was probably just teasing you.
“Well, when we first, officially, met you seemed more shy and quiet than what you have been acting like. I was beginning to wonder if I said something to offend you, but I’m glad to see that’s not the case,” he concluded with a bold grin.
“Oh, that,” you began. “Well, I wouldn’t exactly call myself shy, socially awkward is probably a better word. Besides, you kind of caught me off guard back then, and I wasn’t expecting you to be so close--” the words got caught in your throat as you turned to face Fuyuhiko only to realize that his face was only inches apart from yours, so close that you could feel his warm breath lightly fan your face. “Eek!” you yelped and jumped back slightly. You just got your face to cool down, but now it felt like it was on fire.
“Pfft--hahaha!” Finding humor in your very flustered form, Fuyuhiko couldn’t help but double over in laughter. Meanwhile, you were left gaping like a fish, and a quick glance at your expression caused another wave of laughter to emit from the flirty blond. “Sorry, sorry. It was too good an opportunity to pass up,” he humorously stated, wiping a few tears from his eyes. “Man, you’re a real character, you know that, L/n-chan?”
Having once again calmed down, you couldn't help but to playfully scoff at him. “Yeah, well then you’re a real piece of work, Kaneko-kun.”
He only laughed again at your response.
Talking to him felt a lot easier now that you don’t feel so self conscious about being watched by all of your classmates. It wasn’t like anything you had expected, but it was no wonder seeing how Yuki was always blowing him off during the beginning of their relationship. While she at first tried to be polite with turning him down, him constantly trying to put the moves on her only fueled her anger. Of course she later comes to understand him and he is able to understand her, but for a while it was hard to picture them getting along, which made it hard for you to picture getting along with him. Needless to say, you were glad to be wrong.
‘Fuyuhiko is surprisingly easy to talk to, but I still need to figure out how to divert his interest away from Yuki.’
“So how are you feeling?” Fuyuhiko quietly asked after calming down from his laughing fit.
Already knowing what he meant, you took a second to collect yourself and to figure out what you wanted to say. “I guess I’m feeling better now. I mean, it no longer hurts if that’s what you're asking,” you finally say with some hesitance.
“That’s good. I don’t know many of the details but I heard it was bad,” he let out a nervous chuckle but you could tell there was no humor behind it this time. He wouldn’t say it out loud, but when he got close to your face he could tell that you were wearing more product than before, proof that, while you may say you’re fine, Makino’s assault was still affecting your life.
From there the two of you dropped the topic of your attack, and instead chose to focus on more light hearted conversation.
It didn’t take too long before it was close to the time that class usually started, and by then you and Fuyuhiko were already by your classroom doors. Despite that fact, you felt that you were a few too many minutes early, even after changing your shoes, so you still felt that there was a risk of being swarmed by your fellow classmates, but you also figured that there was no point in walking around for another five minutes when you were already here. You waved bye to Fuyuhiko and had to shoo him away when he insisted on sticking around for a few minutes to talk in class, but you knew that it wouldn’t be a good idea. If you did enter class with the Kaneko Fuyuhiko then you were sure that you would get questioned by both your classmates and Yuki.
After he had left you took in a deep breath and braced yourself slightly when you opened the door, completely expecting to be mobbed. But the crowd never came and neither did the onslaught of questions. While your classmates did look up from their seats, and clearly looked like they wanted to go up to you, they remained seated and silent, each sharing a look of hesitance amongst themselves.
Confused but not displeased, you made your way to your seat. During your rather short walk, you casted a quick glance around the room, noting the behaviors of the classmates who you knew best. Yuki, whose face held an excited look when you two locked eyes, and Akihiko, who had his chin rested in the palm of his hand as he stared off to the side.
You half expected for your classmates to go back to how they normally are at some point as you went through your classes, but they all remained distant despite the obvious look of desperation in their eyes, desperate for answers from you. It wasn’t until lunch time rolled around that you got an answer as to why.
“Fukumoto-san is really weird sometimes, but I can sort of see how our classmates can respect him,” Yuki suddenly said after setting her bento down on her lap.
Pausing mid bite, you bring down your chopsticks and ask, “Really? What made you change your mind?”
“Oh, I guess you don’t know.”
This piqued your curiosity even more.
“It was Fukumoto-san who got all our classmates to stop bothering you. You should have seen it, that boy can be real scary when he wants to.”
You didn’t know what to make of this new information. In a way you were touched, but this was something that you never expected from him. Though you shouldn't be surprised, there was a reason why he was voted class president, and eventually student body president, after all.
‘As a video game character he annoyed me. But as a real person, he isn’t half bad.’ You weren’t sure why, but the thought of Akihiko going out of his way to make you comfortable made you happy.
When lunch was over, Yuki and yourself started heading in the direction of the Home Economics class, where you would finally be able to experience your Home Econ class after almost a week of missing it due to all sorts of circumstances. But unfortunately you would have to bear witness to Yuki and Suzuki becoming partners and there was nothing you could do to stop it. Your life would have been a thousand times easier if you could, but nothing ever seems to come easy to you.
In other news, you would also be seeing your lab partner again. Like you, she was a background character who held no importance to the plot of the story, but unlike her you have no choice but to insert yourself into the plot to save everyone's skins. Because she held little importance you couldn’t remember her name, but you remember her to be rather plain looking. Rude as that may sound, it was just hard to compare anyone to the main characters who were specifically designed to be eye-catching and gorgeous.
As the two of you neared the classroom, an anxious knot twisted in your stomach at the notion of what is to come. It wasn’t like you were about to enter some dangerous situation, but the idea of Suzuki meeting Yuki and falling in love made you sick. Or rather, the notion of that love being the reason for his death made you sick. You still needed to come up with a plan to prevent that from happening, but how?
Entering the classroom, your eyes immediately darting over to the direction of Suzuki for a brief moment as a lump formed in your throat. Before you could break down crying for seemingly no reason, you quickly made your way over to your station where your seatmate stood waiting. Now that you could see her in person, after all this time, you could finally put a clear face to her, but you have yet to remember her name. 'It was a long the lines of Nano E something.'
As you approach, the plain looking girl with brown, almost black, hair and matching eyes stared up at you with a soft, almost sympathetic, look. "I'm glad to see you're back, partner. How are you feeling?"

You know, Jimmy? While I can't say that you have never been responsible for helping out the town you also created or influenced the vast majority of major threats in the first place. The Yolkians only came to Retroville because of your signal. The same goes for Meldar Prime. The Nanobots, Shirley, and Evil Jimmy were all your creations. You caused the ice age. You created the sentient pants. You made the sick patch, you turned your teacher into a fifty-foot monstrosity, and you injured Santa Claus, almost ruining Christmas. The vast majority of this town's problems are caused, at least indirectly, by you. And you know what? In all honesty, that would be fine. You are very intelligent and you almost always do fix it, and in the end it's extremely unlikely that you won't end up benefiting the world a lot more than you will damage it. My children and my children's children are probably going to live in a world free of war and disease, and I'll have you to thank for that.
But fuck, dude. You can't keep using your intelligence as a way to escape your humanity. I didn't ask you to say salt because I thought a customer would seriously care or because I was insecure, I did it because it made you look weird and I was trying to get you to adopt behaviors and use language that makes you come across like a normal fucking person. Everyone knows what sodium chloride is, but calling it that outside the context of a chemistry class makes you seem like someone who defines themselves solely by their intelligence, which is undeniably who you are. I know you think that there's nothing wrong with being that person, dude, but there is. Taking your IQ and deciding that it elevates you above the rest of the planet is an awful decision that will lead to a life filled with misery and alienation. It will color every interaction you ever have and make it impossible to have real friends or relationships. I'm not saying that you won't have any. But they won't hold any meaning to you, and they certainly won't bring you any happiness. Sure, you'll probably manage a pity-fuck or two your sophomore year of college after giving some drunk sorority girl a jetpack ride, but it'll bring you nothing but emptiness. Maybe you'll eventually abandon women altogether and decide that "your true love is science", secretly seething inside whenever you see a guy like Nick or Bolbi getting married to someone he really cares about, who cares about him. You'll say I'm exaggerating, but dude, look at how you treat the people in your life now. Carl and Sheen, quirks aside, really do see you as a friend, and they'd go through some serious shit if it meant helping you out of a scrape. Can you say that you see them the same way, as anything other than the only two kids your age willing to put up with your ridiculous ego? What have you ever done for them? Inventing doesn't count, dude. Even when you build something for someone else, you're really doing that for YOU.
Every llama-bot or Ultra Lord simulator is only created with the expectation of further praise. They're not friends to you. They're worshippers. And your parents? Lord, the way you treat them. You think I've got folks that care about me the way your mom and dad do, working in a shithole like this? I wish. Everyday your dad watches you scarf down the dinner your mom slaved to make for you and prays that you might think about spending some fucking time with him instead of disappearing into your lab to do god knows what. They watch you toy with dimensional-warping science that they can't wrap their minds around on a daily basis and you laugh at them for worrying about you. Have you ever played catch with your dad, Jimmy? Ever asked him how his day at work was? You don't have a clue what l'd do for a dad like yours in my life, dude. What about your mom? Why not invent something that'll make her life easier instead of gallivanting around the Bermuda Triangle to play with fucking seaweed? We both know the reason. She would thank you for it, she'd be happy to imagine a version of you that thought for an instant about the needs of another person, but she wouldn't call you the greatest thing in the universe for it like your friends do. And in Neutron's world, whoever doesn't do that might as well not exist.
Ignore me if you want. Keep going the way you're going, and I'll see you in thirty years, lugging around sixteen Nobel prizes in your pockets as if they could substitute for a lifetime's worth of human love and interaction. You've always mocked Calamitus for his inability to finish what he started, but the man had a wife and a daughter that tolerated him enough to want to stay in his life through everything, and at the rate you're going I'd be amazed if you could manage the same with Goddard. The rest of Retroville, Jimmy, they'll never be able to do what you do. They'll never be able to invent rockets or solve cold fusion or add three numbers together. But they will find genuine friendship and love, and they will call it salt, and despite everything you accomplish you'll only be remembered as nothing more than the man who wouldn't. Who couldn't, perhaps. Get out, dude. You're fired. Big McThankies from McSpanky's.
ah yes the jimmy neutron salt vent copypaste from 4chin

"Why me of all people?"
Characters: Shinichiro Sano x F!Reader
Word Count: 1277
A/N: Enjoy this quick writing I made. It was just to get my brain started before I continue on writing my Tokyo Revengers fan fiction. Requests are open, feel free to leave requests but make sure to read my pinned post first. Thank you!
Tumblr media
There was no doubt that Shinichiro Sano was a woman's dream man. So, you instantly knew you had no chance with him. He was popular, respected by many people, a family man, humble, kind, and of course, he was the most attractive guy you've met so far.
And, as for you? Well, let's just say you were a problem child. Yes, you have good grades and are talented in a lot of aspects. But, at the same time, you were the type of person who sneaks out at 10 P.M. and doesn't know how to properly dress herself. In short, everyone was intimidated by your unpredictable nature.
One day, you were fixing the mess in your locker since you stocked up a lot of things for your extracurricular activities. As you closed your locker door, you were startled to see Shinichiro reading the school newspaper while leaning on the locker beside yours.
"What do you need?" You irritatingly asked since you had your monthly visit at that time. "Uhm, wanna go out sometime?" He focused his attention on you as he closed the newspaper. "Excuse me, what? From all I know, we're the total opposites. Are you sure you’re asking the right person? I’m Y/N L/N." You rolled your eyes at him and started to walk away while you hugged your textbooks. He followed you and started talking, “I wouldn’t follow you if I wasn’t sure, right?” You stopped walking from what he said. You looked at him with disinterest in your face. “I’m sorry, but no. You might be everyone’s dream man, but I heard you’re a womanizer. So, goodbye, and have a nice day. Don’t bother me anymore.”
When you got home, you realized that you just turned down someone way out of your league. And, you didn’t have a clue why he was so interested in you. You were wearing plain blue denim jeans and a white shirt. Overall, you were just a plain girl. But, you heard stories of countless girls crying over Shinichiro.
But, that day, you thought he would stop.
He would follow you around in the hallway and try to talk to you. He would have his friends force you to go to where he was. He and his gang once went to your house and serenaded you, which made your mother push you to him. For 2 months, he never stopped doing this. No matter how many times you rejected him. The two of you had a class together, and in that class, while you were busy taking down notes, someone threw a piece of crumpled paper in your head. When you turned around, his friend, Takeomi, told me to open it. Of course, there was a question in the paper “Go out with me?” And the only two options were yes or a BIG YES. You threw the paper right back at him. What you did was you put another box below the word “or” and that’s what you shaded. Takeomi gasped in disbelief and the teacher was distracted. You turned to look at Shinichiro with a victorious smile, yet he wasn’t looking back with a playful smile. He looked really upset.
Days have passed by, and Shinichiro has stopped bothering you. But, it felt like something was missing. You saw him and his friends on the school parking lot on their motorcycle, ready to go. But, when your eyes met him, your heart started to beat faster than normal. And, that’s when you had the urge to call him. But, to your shock, he ignored you. This is when you came to a conclusion that he might really like you and his feelings were genuine. Heck, you admitted to yourself that you like him too. No gossip had been spread ever since he started to go after you. Which only means that he wasn’t playing with your feelings after all.
You were getting miserable, really. You didn’t realize that all his peskiness made you drawn to him even more. Every day, you’d think, “what kind of facade would he do now?”
And, you just found yourself to be in his garage, waiting for him. It was raining and you didn’t bring an umbrella. You just waited until he came back. When your surroundings got a little darker, you noticed someone was shielding you from the rain. And, when you looked up, you saw Shinichiro.
“Hey! It’s raining, why are you here?” Suddenly, along with the rain, your tears were falling. You were thankful for the rain for hiding your emotions. But, he seemed to notice. He eventually sat with you in the rain. “You never believed I like you, huh?” You nodded your head since you were unable to speak. He sighed before he started speaking, “Y/N, you were amazing. Yes, I’ll admit, it started as some kind of bet between me and my friends that I can make you fall in love. But, slowly, I realized you were like no other girl I’ve met before. Through the times you try to ignore me, I am observing you. And, that’s when I knew I messed up, but in a good way. Because I was so whipped for this girl I’ll never have a chance with. I eventually gave up on the idea that you’ll agree to go out with me. But, that’s fine.” He looked down on the ground. “You know Shinichiro, you’re a pain in the ass. You were the cause of my headache. And, I didn’t have a clue why you would even pursue a nobody like me. The question I have in my mind is why me of all people?” You slightly raised your voice. He looked at you as he gave you a painful smile. “Because even if you saw me as an enemy, I saw you as an angel. The only reason I agreed to that bet was that I already had my eyes on you for the longest time. I know you won’t believe me, but Y/N, I didn’t choose you because you were interesting to me. I chose you, or rather my heart chose you because you’re everything I want in a person.” Your eyes widened in surprise. For the first time, you smiled at him and said, “Well, even if you annoy me most of the time, I can’t help but fall for you.” He slowly looked at you, almost like he was scared. But, that expression soon became him jumping in the puddle of rain, and the water splashing on you. He helped you get up as he carried you. He spun you around which made the drops of rain hit your faces harder. “Trust me, I’ll make you the happiest girl.”
“And, that’s how my story with your father began.” You said as your daughter started to yawn. But, your son still wanted more stories. On the door, Shinichiro, your first and last, and the love of your life, was standing in the door who seemed to hear everything you told your children. “Yeah, your mom is more stubborn than ever. I realized I was up for a challenge when she became my girlfriend. But, you two are the product of our love.” He gently said as he caressed the hair of your son.
It was his turn to tell his story while you were cuddled up in his arms. You never imagined this is what your life would be like. But, with Shinichiro, he makes every day a perfect day. And, now, even after hating him, you’re happily married to him and you’re still so damn in love with your husband.

Summary: The reader begins to realize his feelings for Saiki.

1. The Best Friends
Being friends with a psychic definitely had its ups and downs. At first, you didn’t notice a thing out of the ordinary with Saiki, well, granted you were kids when the both of you met so naturally you just wanted to be friends and thought nothing more. However, he noticed something odd with you the moment you two met.
He couldn’t read your mind.
Actually forget being about to read your mind, none of his psychic abilities worked on you. He couldn’t see through you and when he touched you without his super thin transparent gloves on nothing happened. You were basically immune to him.
At first, he thought something was wrong with you, or that maybe you had some psychic powers as well. That wasn’t the case at all. In reality, you were a normal human without any powers or tricks. That stumped Saiki even more, but it also became the soul reason he wanted to be your friend as well.
For one, he didn’t have to deal with your thoughts. Two, his image of you wasn’t ruined because he can’t see under your skin. Three, your calmer personality made him relax. And of course all those other things like your kindness and stuff, but those were irrelevant the moment he knew he couldn’t read your mind.
It’s been years since he met you in the park during recess, and now here you guys were, 16 years later and still friends. Oh, there was one thing that bothered him about you.
“What to hang out today?” You asked as you slung your bag over your shoulder.
“Sure.” Saiki said. Yep. That’s right, since he can’t get in your mind, he actually has to move his mouth when he talks to you.
It was a bit weird to others that he never did it with anyone else other than you, but he didn’t care.
On the way home he couldn’t help but notice you eyeing his antennas, the things that keep his powers stable. He turned his head towards you and gave you a curiosity look.
“Do those things poke at your head at all?” You asked, moving you hand up to poke at the top of the pink ball. “Like, does it make your head ichy?”
Saiki shook his head. He knew he had to talk to you at some points, but times like these he didn’t. He enjoyed that about you too, that you don’t force him to talk all the time. You knew it was a bit weird for him to talk, he explained it to you when he told you all about his powers.
“Hm,” you hummed out. Your hands going back at your side and into your pant pockets. “It would for me, if I was you. They just look painful, but I guess you gotta do what you gotta do if you don’t wanna blow up the world.”
Saiki nodded his head, his eyes continuing to linger on you. It was one days like these when he saw you thinking so hard about something that he wished he could just take a peak. At some points, he loved the silence, especially when the both of you were watching movies, but right now, especially in this moment, he’d give anything to know. It was mostly prominent when he’d stare at you during class and you’d have this far out look in your orbs, you drew him in, and perhaps that’s why he fell for you.
Though, there were other factors that won his favor. Mostly the fact that, unlike everyone else, he can’t stare right through you and just see your raw muscles and pumping organs. Instead, he was able to focus on your handsome face and not get side tracked about your racing thoughts. You were the only person in the world that make him feel somewhat normal. That was a love-hate relationship at times.
“Think I could sleep over tonight?” You suddenly asked, “we don’t have school tomorrow.”
Saiki stared at you for a moment just to relish in that fact that nothing worked on you. No telekinesis, mind control, no nothing. He was going to have to win your favor just like everyone else. To him, it wasn’t normal, but looking at you, he didn’t seem to mind the extra work.
“Sure,” Saiki said. He still had trouble talking aloud, hell, sometimes he will actually use telekinesis and wait for your response only to have pure silence. “My parents are leaving for a wedding, so the house should be free for a while.”
When the two of you got to Saiki’s house, it was a bit peaceful until his parents had to head out. You liked his mom and dad a lot, they were like your second family, so you wanted to wish them a good time. It was for one Saiki’s dad’s coworkers.
“Are you sure you don’t wanna come with us?” Saiki’s dad asked his son. “You’ve met Kirishima before, and you can bring [Name] as your plus one date.”
You knew Saiki wasn’t going to be interested in a wedding. He always told you normal happy events for others is misery for him since he can hear the jealousy and pity that the crowd is thinking. You felt sorry that he couldn’t turn it off, but you were glad that you were the only person he could catch a break with. However, when you looking over at Saiki, he seemed to entertain the thought.
It was a new side to Saiki, one that made you confused. It was always either you or no one. You could tell the way he wanted to get away from many of the people in his class that seemed to have declared themselves his friends from a small interaction. Sure, you felt their interest, but it was just a bit sad to you that Saiki could never actually enjoy friends unless they were pure. Otherwise, he could hear all the backstabbing thoughts or otherwise stupid comments that go around in their brain that was thought to be private to them.
“I’m going to have to pass,” you commented. “I don’t have a suit, besides, you two should enjoy the night. It’s been a while since I’ve seen you both go out alone.”
Saiki’s mom smiled widely at you. Her eyes clouding over with a wet film before wrapping her arms around you for a tight hug. “Ah, thank you, [Name]! What would we do without you?”
You chuckled softy at the comment before saying, “Who knows, I rather not think about that.”
When she finally let you go, you and Saiki waved the both of them off as they left. Honestly, you weren’t sure if they’d even make it back at a reasonable time. It was a wedding, after all. Oh well, as long as they make it back drunk and safe rather than drunk and not safe, you didn’t mind. You were sleeping over anyway, so right now, you just wanted to hang out with your childhood best friend.
“What do you wanna do?” You asked with a calming tone.
Saiki turned his head to you. “TV?”
“Sure,” you smiled. However, as soon as you turned to the living room, you noticed the absolute mess his parents left behind. So, out of the goodness of your heart, you said, “How about you find something and all clean up this in the meantime. Sound good?”
Saiki nodded once more. He truly thought your actions were kind, but he rather have you watching TV with him than picking up his dad’s dirty clothes. He knew his father tended to be sloppy, but this was just a mess.
As you were about to pick up a pair of jeans, all the clothes that were strewn about the floor suddenly started to float in the air and shoot into the open washing machine. The trash floated itself into the garage while everything else was moved around to make it look clean until otherwise.
You pressed your lips together as your brows furrowed in annoyance. Once you turned to Saiki and saw his innocence face, you knew you couldn’t be angry but you had to ask, “Do you really want me to watch TV with you that bad?”
“Yes,” Saiki stated.
You sighed, your lips parting as you left the oxygen leave your lungs. “Fine, but let’s both clean up a bit before than. It’ll be a nice surprise and a way to thank your parents for letting me stay the night.”
Saiki nodded. “Okay.”
It took a bit of convincing on your end to let him let you help out. You may not have powers, but you didn’t want to take advantage of his. You knew it was effortless and he made it seem like it didn’t affect him whatsoever, but you knew every time he does something it takes a toll. His powers aren’t perfect.
You both ended up cleaning the living room, Saiki’s room, and now you were in the kitchen sorting the trash. Saiki was using his powers to sort while you whipped down the countertops.
“Good grief,” Saiki said aloud, his voice drawing your eyes to him. He was crouched down with two bags in front of him and the garage floating upside down, it’s contents was either going in the first or second bag.
“What?” You asked curiosity. It wasn’t all the time that he speaks from his mouth without you talking first.
“How could anyone have let it get this dirty in here?” He asked aloud. “I mean, really it’s a wonder we don’t have bugs.”
You were going to respond. That was until he suddenly shut his mouth, a chest deep grunt leaving him as you notice him stare at something on the furniture next to him.
It was a cockroach.
Mind you, the moment you realized what it was you weren’t the least bit surprised when he suddenly teleported. Saiki hates bugs. He could read the minds of humans, as well as animals, but he couldn’t with bugs. He thought they were small minded icky things. Hell, he couldn’t even let his powers touch the thing.
You counted down the seconds before he came back. It was around ten, maybe fifteen. He also teleported right behind you.
“Welcome back,” you greeted and watched as his eyes dart towards the floor.
“Sorry, I may have overreacted.” He muttered. “I just hate them.”
“I know,” you hummed out before looking around and grabbing a cup and piece of paper. Saiki watched you as you let the roach crawl on the piece of paper before placing the cup over it so it didn’t run away. You were quick to put it outside and close the window after so Saiki didn’t worry about it coming back in.
“All gone,” you cheered with a smile. “Now, let’s watch TV, ya?”
2. Saiki’s Pushy Friends
PK Academy was a school were many different personalities and people collided. It was always fun to meet new people in this school, yet on the other side of the coin, sometimes they were more than a little odd. Not like you can speak, your best friend was a psychic. Though, he wasn’t delusional like this one guy in your class that declared himself Saiki’s friend. His name was Kaido. He thinks he has powers and has an evil organization following him around.
Then, you have Nendou. Basically, he’s stupid. Not that you minded, but sometimes being stupid isn’t the best thing in the world, especially now.
It was the sports festival at PK and Saiki and you had to participate in it. You both were on the same team since all the teams were decided by class. This also gave you a good idea of the friends Saiki has made. It was safe to say that Kaido was growing on you. You felt a little bad for the guy, what can you say.
Let’s not forget about Hairo as well. You knew him a bit more from hearsay than the others, plus he was class rep. Though, you had to say, he was a little too overly enthusiastic.
It was kind of a surprise to see Teruhashi, the most popular girl in school, try and interact with Saiki. Though, it was a bit amusing since to him, she’s nothing more than walking muscle. However, you did think he would swoon over her like all the other guys in your school if she was like you. However, you knew Saiki had no interest in romance so you don’t care either way.
Finally, Nendou. You were originally going to say that you didn’t mind the guy that much and thought maybe he would be a good thing for Saiki. However, after just watching him take out one of the antennas from Saiki’s head, you started to wonder how much of a danger his stupidity is to Saiki.
You watched that pink haired friend of yours collapse to the ground with a hard thud as soon as Nendou pull the thing out of his head. You were quick to rush over to him and sit by his side. When you flipped him over, since he fell face forward, worry grew about your body and infected your bloodstream.
You heard protests about turning him over, but at this point all the worried voices drowned before they were even audible to you. His lips were parted as drool leaked from his mouth and went down his chin, his eyes dead and without life as darkness surrounded them. It didn’t take you long to recover and swipe the antenna Nendou was holding and pop it back in its rightful place in his pink locks.
You didn’t know how long it would take for him to wake up, or if he’d wake up at all. All you knew was to sit and wait for him to wake up. To your surprise, he woke up rather quickly. Maybe a mere minute or so after you fixed him up. When his eyes opened, you felt yourself suddenly get surrounded as Saiki’s friends crowed over him to ask how he was.
You noticed him using telepathy to talk to everyone when Hairo said, “You passed out after Nendou took that think out of your head, lucky for you, [Name] put it back right away!”
“Yeah, he saved your life!” Kaido spit out next, their hands placing on my shoulder out of respect and gratitude.
Saiki’s eye then direct to you, his voice never leaving his lips for a moment before you noticed him flinch.
‘Ah,’ you thought. ‘He tried to use telepathy with me again.’
When he noticed, Saiki just nodded in your direction. You knew he was thanking you, he didn’t need to word it out to you. The look in his eyes was enough.
Lunch came immediately after Saiki ended up waking up, and it was understatement to say he didn’t want to be bother with anyone else besides you. He was quick to drag you to the roof of the school to eat.
The both of you sat against the railing, lunch in your laps. You wanted I just forget about the scare that Saiki gave you, but the after effects he was having wasn’t making that easy. He was having trouble, and it was easy to see when his hands were shaking so much that he couldn’t even pick up his food without it falling back in the box.
You side eyed him, his expression one of concentration as he tried to pick up his food again. Though, he dropped it again.
He sighed quickly after that, only looking down at his food as you saw his mind wonder off.
Once you finished chewing whatever food you had in your mouth, you placed your food to the side and moved so that you weren’t side to side, but rather across from Saiki’s body now. He didn’t register your movements until he saw a hand come into his view and pick up an item of food with his chopsticks.
When he turned to you, you had the chopsticks in your dominant hand and your other under the food so it didn’t drop to the filthy ground.
“C’mon, lemme help,” you said. It was easy for Saiki to pick up the worry in your tone, however he knew not to address it or else you’ll just either deny it or baby him. “Open up.”
He obeyed your command after a moment, opening his mouth wide enough for you to place his food in his mouth. The hand that was meant to catch the food if it fell made sure Saiki closed his mouth, his fingers placed a bit of pressure under his chin to shut his jaws before slowly trailing away. The food wasn’t nearly as satisfying as the chill that ran down his spine at your lingering touch that crawled on his skin.
“I could hurt you.” He suddenly spit out. It was pained. “Having my antenna taken out messed up my powers.”
You leaned your head to the side, your eyes never falling from his. “Yeah, I kinda figured.”
“You should go.” He stated.
“Why?”
“I just told you.”
You smiled. “Saiki, you could never hurt me.”
He looked at you like you had something stuck in your teeth. “You don’t know that, I may not be able to read your mind, but I don’t know how my other powers react to you.”
You remained quiet for a moment before shuffling your body side by side again, your head falling to rest of Saiki’s shoulder. You felt him flinch at the contact, his muscles even began to tighten just out of fear.
“Yanno,” you started out saying, your hand coming up to play the antenna that you could reach. “It’s odd to me how these things are the only thing keeping you stable.”
“Is it?”
You chuckled and nodded. “Small things like these verses your powers. The thing that gets me is that these things actually win in that fight. Though, I suppose it does complete the look you have.”
“And what look is that?” Saiki asked as he gazed down at you to see your eyes already on him. He could feel his fingers twitch as he watched you say shamelessly, “The cute, mysterious loner type.”
Saiki’s lips parted as he gazed at you. He quickly recomposed himself when he noticed you waiting patiently for him to respond. He sighed before asking, “Mysterious loner? Where’d you get that?”
You laughed before sarcastically questioning, “yep, I wonder where.”
3. Your friends are my friends
You don’t know how you got wrapped into this, but perhaps it’ll allow you to know Saiki’s friends better.
Currently, you were walking with Kaido, Nendou, and Saiki to a good ramen shop Nendou suggested. You were dragged along when Nendou remembered you from the Sports Festival and as Saiki’s friend. They never really got the chance to speak to you since you’re usually out the door as soon as the bell rings, but today they finally caught you.
At some point Teruhashi joined the group, though you feel like she kinda took over since now the boys, except for Saiki and you, were fawning over her. Saiki and you took it upon yourselves to give them all room to talk to her, so you both sorts trailed behind.
It was silent for a while, the only noise was Nendou or Kaido talking to Teruhashi. However, you caught the, “what does that even mean,” that Saiki mumbled under his breath.
“Hm?” You hummed. “What does what mean?”
It was obvious to you he didn’t realize he said that aloud. But he just seemed to be glad that only you heard that.
“Teruhashi wants me to go ‘oh wow’ or something to her.” Saiki revealed. “I don’t even know what that means.”
You kept your gaze on Saiki for a moment. “So, she likes you?”
“I guess,” he muttered. “I think it’s more that I’m the only guy that isn’t kissing her feet.”
You watched Teruhashi interact with Nendou and Kaido. You know that, normally, she wouldn’t take time to hang out with these guys. However, because of her crush on Saiki, she bares with them. In all honesty, she seems a bit perfect. Being able to deal with them just for the person she adores. It’s easy for anyone to do, and not a lot of people would even bother.
“She seems like a good fit for you.” You suddenly uttered out.
When Saiki heard that, he felt his hands twitch. He didn’t like that, not one bit. What irked him the most was that it seemed natural, like you actually meant it. And, of course, he had no way of knowing if those words were genuine or actually forced.
“No way,” Saiki stated coldly. “Never in a million years.”
“Damn, that’s cold, Saiki.” He heard you say, a teasing tone wedged in your voice.
“Why do you keep calling me Saiki, anyway? We aren’t acquaintances.”
“Hm?” You questioned. “I thought you don’t like me calling you by your first name in public?”
Saiki sighed. “Well now I’m telling you I don’t care.”
Saiki knew this way of showing that you were closer to him than anyone would ever be may have been childish on his part, but when he heard his first name come from your lips in front of his other ‘friends’, he felt more than satisfied.
4. Friendship Can Bring Romance
Being able to rest during class was one of your guilty pleasures. Even if you got called out by your teacher, you didn’t mind. It was better when it was raining outside, the patter of rain when it hit the window made you want to nap.
“Hey,” a voice called out to you. You didn’t listen though, it wasn’t important.
“Hey, [Name],” it called out again. Okay, maybe you should wake up. Then again, sleep. You could always sleep later though.
You fluttered your eyes open as you felt your body being pushed around. When your sight became focused, the blurry figure in front of you showed a blue hair kid. You knew him, but from where?
“Saiki asked me to wake you up, sorry,” he confessed.
Oh, right. That’s Kaido, Saiki’s friend.
“Hm? Where is Kusuo?” You asked in a groggy voice, your hand coming up to wipe your eyes.
“Oh, he went home.” Kaido informed you. “Something just came up, I guess.”
“Alright,” you hummed before the end of your lips pulled upward. “Thank you, Kaido.”
It wasn’t easy for Kaido to wake up the quiet kid. Kaido only met the guy once or twice, and when he was hanging with him, you only stayed close to Saiki. It was kinda odd, but Kaido understood your attachment to the pink haired man. Saiki was Kaido’s first friend, after all, so he knew how awesome the guy was.
Though, he’s never got the chance to speak to you. He knows Saiki never really goes anywhere with you, and somehow you always end up by his side. He just always seemed to miss you when it came to getting the chance to introduce himself so Kaido was pretty glad when you came along the trip to that ramen place, even if it was a dumb and he got distracted by Teruhashi.
Kaido knew you were the closest person to Saiki. He’s pretty sure that not even Nendou is as close to Saiki as you are. And those two are best friends. Kaido didn’t know the extend of how long you two have been friends, but he does know from watching that Saiki has respect for you. So, it was critical that he makes a great impression with you so that he can become closer to Saiki and maybe you as well.
“S-Sure, no problem!” He stuttered, his bandaged hand retracting from your shoulder and holding them up in the air in a surrendered notion.
“Do you live around here at all? I’ll walk you home as a thank you.” You said as you stood from your seat and began to search for your bag.
“What? You don’t have to do that, really, it isn’t necessary!” Kaido spit out quickly, his words jumping all over the place.
“It’s really no trouble at all,” you stated as you put your bag over your shoulder. “C’mon, let’s get going before the rain gets worse.”
The rain eventually stopped when both teens got closer to your house. Kaido’s was further ahead, so he thought it would be better if he just walked you home instead so you didn’t have to walk more than you have to already.
“So, you’ve been friends with Saiki since he was little, huh?” Kaido asked as you explained why Saiki trusts you so much. “That’s pretty awesome! What was he like back then?”
“Pretty much the same.” You answered. “Though he did get more handsome throughout the years, and he used to be kinda sweet. Now, not so much.”
“I see, so you guys have been through it all together.” Kaido replied.
“Basically, though, he did start to worry me a bit since I was his only friend for a really long time,” you confessed. You paused as you looked up at Kaido and gave him a smile, “But I’m glad he finally made a friend like you.”
Kaido could feel his heart beat a million miles an hour just at the words you strung together. He never heard kinder words than those, and he was even more thrilled that he succeeded in making a good impression on Saiki’s childhood friend!
“It’s, uh, n-no problem, really!” Kaido muttered out as his whole face began to fluster, his hands going everywhere.
“Oh,” you hummed out.
“Hm?” Kaido questioned. His nerves going down. “What is it?”
“Did you know you were dragging your scarf the whole time?” You asked curiosity as your hands started to real in the extra fabric.
“What?” He asked out of pure shock. Though, realizing that he doesn’t make a fool out of himself he said, “O-Of course I did! It’s a fashion choice.”
“Not the best one,” you stated as you stepped closer to the blue haired male.
Kaido’s eyes widened as he stated directly into your colored orbs, watching them dance solely for him. It was like getting attention from a loved one, but this attention make him nervous to the point where he thought his face was going to explode with red. Kaido’s lips slowly started to disappear as the scarf started to build up around his shoulders and neck.
“There you go,” you said, “much better. Now your scarf doesn’t get more dirty and you look even better.”
‘Even better? What’s that supposed to mean? Does it.. does it mean he thought I looked good before?!’ Kaido thought.
Kaido let out an awkward laugh as he played with the end of the scarf. “O-Oh, haha, thank you.”
“Sure,” you hummed. “Now let’s get going.”
5. Blessing Turned On Jealousy
What’s that saying, the enemy of my enemy is my friend? Yeah, that’s it. See, that could apply to this yet at the same time it would go a little different.
More like, the enemy of my best friend is my friend. At least for your situation. You see, walking home with Saiki has now turned into walking home with Saiki, Nendou, and Kaido. Not that you mind, but sometimes you really do wish it was back to when Saiki and you got to spend time alone together. However, being friends with Saiki and then having his friends automatically become your friends may have some perks.
Like now. Bumping into Kaido’s mom was totally accidental. But, in the end it payed off. Why?
Because coffee jelly.
“I know it’s not easy being friends with my son because he’s so shy, but please be patient.” Kaido’s mom announced as she placed the coffee jelly down in front of Saiki and you.
“Please don’t say that mama—I mean—mother.” Kaido pleased, his voice cracking as it got higher with embarrassment.
Overall, the beginning was a very nice. Hell, it was damn near perfect. Although, you just had to snoop around. Well, it was more like exploring Kaido’s room.
Your fingertips brushed along the spines of the many books Kaido had stacked up in his bookcase. It was seriously amazing how many books he had, he even had some original copies of some famous old books.
“This is pretty awesome,” you muttered to yourself before your eyes spotted something that didn’t quite match with the others. In all honesty, you were simply curious. However, curiosity did kill the cat. In your case, more like awakened the Saiki K.
“Hey, Kaido, what is the Jet Black Wings?” You asked aloud as the group sat down eating whatever snacks were about. You would always hear either chewing or at least some conversation, but after that question left your mouth it was dead silent. You felt like you killed something, but when you looked over you noticed Kaido’s face beat red. Seriously, his entire face was as red as a blood moon.
“P-Put that back!” He stuttered out, the blue haired boy suddenly running up to you to snatch the book from your hand.
As he reached for it, you held it higher. Even if he was about the same height or maybe a inch or so taller, you just needed to make him miss his hand from grabbing it.
“Don’t be embarrassed, I’m just curious.” You calmly said. “Is it bad or something?”
“N-No! It’s nothing, uh, bad! Just give me it back!” Kaido begged this time around, his hands trying desperately to grab it from you. Okay, maybe you were being a little mean at this point, but it was kinda fun to tease him.
You began to back up as Kaido trying to nab the book in your hand. “Just explain it!”
“No! Never!” He shouted.
You couldn’t help but laugh a little, though, that was your fatal mistake. Having yourself distracted by your own humor, your mind didn’t take into account the pile of prep books scattered about until it was too late. You quickly lost your voice, as well as your balance before slamming your head hard against the wood floors.
“Woah! You guys okay?” Nendou asked out of genuine concern.
As much as you would have liked to answer him, you were too concerned with the pain pounding into your skull like a jackhammer. Seriously, this is gonna give you one massive headache.
You scrunched your nose as your finally gave effort to open your eyes, though, they permanently remained open when you noticed a face staring down at you, a body on top of yours. You guessed that during the fall Kaido tried to save you, but only got dragged along instead.
“H-Hey, um, are you okay?” He asked under his shaky breath.
You only nodded before trying to avoid his gaze in any possible way. The position you were in didn’t help whatsoever in that department. Instead, you hoped that Kaido would take the hint and get off. That plan wasn’t looking too good cause all that was running through his mind was how you looked under him. Let’s say, the thoughts he had left a distaste in Saiki’s mouth.
Originally, he was just gonna let you handle it, but after hearing Kaido’s perverted thoughts about you, that plan blew up.
Saiki stood up, leaving his coffee jelly half eaten before grabbing Kaido by the back of his shirt and yanking him off of you. Saiki gave some strength into that but not enough to launch him into the bookshelf like he wanted too. He knelt down to come to your level and help you up, your massive headache being noticeable when you held onto the back of your head.
“Damnit, that really hurt,” you muttered to yourself but Saiki heard it clear as day.
It wasn’t long after that he took you home as well as the left over coffee jelly. Saiki advised you to stay home a day just to let the pain die down a bit before going back to school, so, the pink haired boy was all alone today. And all alone to everyone else meant to bother him more than usual.
Teruhashi, Nendou, Hairo. All of them. Though, it was a bit weird that Kaido wasn’t bothering with him today. Not that he was complaining, but he couldn’t pinpoint the answer until he heard Kaido’s thoughts, ‘I need to ask Saiki for permission. They’re best friends, it would be rude if I didn’t ask permission to ask out [Name].’
Never mind. He didn’t need to know that.
It was around lunch time that Kaido walked up to Saiki for the first one, the blush that littered his cheeks made Saiki want to gag for a moment.
“So, uh, Saiki, I have to ask you something.” Kaido uttered out lowly. Clearly, this was nerve wracking for him.
“What is it?” Saiki asked telepathically.
“Well, it’s about [Name], yanno, our [Name]?”
‘What other person has that name?’ Saiki thought. ‘And don’t say our, it’s creepy.’
“You see, I, well, I think I like him and I’d like your blessing to ask him out!” Kaido shouted, his body bowing at an almost 90 degree angle.
Normally, Saiki would just say to do whatever since he could read [Name]’s thoughts and see that he doesn’t like Kaido in that way. However, the one person in the world that Saiki actually wants is immune to his powers. He knew he needed to shut this down fast.
‘No way.’ Saiki responded.
“Thank you so much, Saiki, you won’t—wait—why not?” Kaido asked aloud, his voice getting higher the more he freaked out. He thought this would be easy, he means, it was Saiki. The most chill guy ever actually gave him a hard ‘no’ to asking out his best friend. Kaido shouldn’t be surprised, even though he is.
‘Because I said so,’ Saiki strictly put. He knew it was wrong to say this, who was he to say no to something that isn’t his business. Though, the feeling of relief that he still had a chance was more satisfying in the end.
By the time Saiki got to your house it was basically as soon as school ended. He used teleportation to get here as fast as he could, as well as just appear in your room. He wasn’t expecting you to still be asleep, though, he supposed this wasn’t too bad.
The pink haired male carefully walking up to the bedside of his best friend. It was odd to see your hair going in one direction instead of all over the place like normal, and don’t even get him started on the soft snores that came from your nose. Snoring isn’t usually the most attractive thing in the world, but this light snores from you made him think of the habit as cute.
Now, he would normally wake you up. But, just allowing himself to look at you for a moment longer without any consequences never hurt anybody. Saiki sat himself down on your floor, his eyes keeping to your closed ones as they slowly began to travel down to your lips. He doesn’t know what came over him, but it seriously began to freak him out when he started think about Kaido touching his lips with yours. After the freak out, jealousy was spiraling around in the psychic. He never knew that Kaido, of all people, would actually develop romantic feelings for you. If he did, he would have never allowed the both of you to interact the way you did at his house the other day.
Saiki let out a sigh before standing up once more, his hand came up to your shoulder slowly and began to shake it. It wasn’t long after that your eyes fluttered open and gave him that soft smile that caused his heart to skip a beat.
6. School Trip
The school trip was always the most looked forward to activity in high school. This year it was a three day trip to Okinawa. While you were excited to spend some time at a gorgeous place like Okinawa, Saiki was definitely less excited.
As kids talked with their friends in a group or just at their desks, you were currently sitting on top of Saiki’s desk with the pink haired boy sitting in the chair. This wasn’t something you always do, especially since at times Saiki has pushed you off out of retaliation, but after a moment or two of still being there, you knew he didn’t mind today.
“You excited?” You asked him.
“No. I don’t get the appeal.” He spit out, his eyes closing as he moved his head down. “I could get to Okinawa in three minutes.”
“Kusuo, not everyone is like you.” You explained. “So don’t go getting moody on this trip, I’m not letting you ruin it for me.”
“I won’t, I’m just saying a fact.” He replied.
You were about to continue with things you’re excited to do during the trip before Hairo came around to the both of you with a clip board in hand. He was responsible for dividing rooms.
“Saiki, [Name], did you guys decide on your group for the class trip?” He asked politely. “You should have three boys and three girls in your group.”
Saiki didn’t say anything, instead he just rested his head against your forearm. Perhaps he wanted Hairo to think he fell asleep and leave it to you, or maybe he was actually saying that he didn’t care as long as he was with you. Either way, you smiled at the contact and said to Hairo, “Kusuo and I will be rooming, it doesn’t matter who else is in our group.”
“Okay, great!” Hairo exclaimed as he wrote it down. “Kaido and Nendou are still available so I’ll just place Kaido with your group, and then randomly place you guys with a girls group.”
“Thanks, Hairo,” you hummed out as he walked away to probably inform Kaido about the rooming.
You never minded contact with Saiki, in fact, you sort of enjoyed it. However, seeing him still like this, even with Hario now gone, you worried.
“Hey, Kusuo,” you called out.
No answer.
“Kusuo?” You asked this time. And when he didn’t answer again you unconsciously moved your hand up to his head and moved it back to where you could look him in the eyes. Saiki’s face was still without expression, though, those eyes worried you. He seemed, almost, upset.
“Kusuo?” You asked. “What’s wrong?”
He shook his head, signaling that nothing was wrong. You knew he was lying.
You tilted your head, some of your hair moving with gravity to expose part of your forehead. “Why are you lying to me?”
“I’m not.” He said, his voice was steady and yet, that look in his eyes still bothered you.
You knew he wasn’t going to budge but still, just because you’re going to let it go now doesn’t mean that you weren’t about to keep an eye on him.
Throughout the beginning and the first day of the trip, you kept an eye on Saiki. He seemed way more tired than usual, but that didn’t startle you. Instead, it was how he was by your side more often now when Kaido was around. You weren’t an idiot, it was pretty obvious. You didn’t mind Saiki’s attention, but you didn’t want him to think just because you were friends with Kaido that he’d be put second.
“Kusuo, can we talk?” You asked him as the two of you had the room to yourselves. The others were out and about, but the two of you decided on an early night.
“About what?” He asked as he set up his sleeping area.
“Today.” You started out. “You’ve been acting weird around Kaido. Did something happen?”
You watched Saiki carefully, so carefully that you noticed his fingers lightly curl around the blanket. You didn’t want to push him, so instead of pushing him to speak, you allowed yourself to be silent and let him take his time. You don’t remember how many minutes pasted, but you swear it felt like decades.
“Nothing happened.” He informed you. “His thoughts just aren’t for my taste at the moment.”
“His thoughts?” You questioned as you slowly approached Saiki on his blanket until you were right in front of him. “Okay, then, what’s got you all bothered? Let me guess, he’s thinking dirty things, right?”
“Sort of.” He replied.
“I bet it’s about Teruhashi,” you theorized. “Is that why you don’t like it?”
“No, it’s not about Teruhashi.”
“Really? Then who?”
Saiki went quiet once more.
You sighed. Your head moving down to get a glimpse at his face. It wasn’t until you moved your hand over by his, your finger tips brushing with his accidentally to get more stability as you leaned in did you hear him finally confess.
“It was about you.”
To say that you needed a minute to take that in was an understatement. Kaido was a good guy and all, but it was kinda startling to realize he liked guys, as well as girls, since you didn’t suspect that even for a minute with him.
“Seriously?” You asked once more.
Saiki nodded. “He asked me if he could ask you out.”
“And what did you say?”
“No.”
You couldn’t help a smile crawl upon your face with that one. You knew it was a bit hard to read Saiki, especially when it came to you, but you were just beyond happy to hear that.
“Good,” you suddenly shot out. Saiki’s head moving back up in an instant to see your happy features. “I don’t like Kaido like that anyway, saves me from breaking his heart.”
“You don’t?”
“Nope.” You hummed out. You knew this may backfire on you in more ways than one, but right now, you didn’t care. The happiness you felt told you to take a chance and throw out the bait. “I know you can’t read my mind, but I actually do have someone I like.”
Saiki aimlessly stared at you for a moment and took in the words you confessed to him. It was an odd feeling, the rapid beating of his heart, but perhaps this was finally the start of things going his way for once.
On the second day of the trip, everyone went to Emerald Beach. It was one of the many places were people could stare at others and no one would think anything of it. A perverts dream. Though, for Saiki, he just wanted to hang out with you.
“Where’s [Name]?” Kaido asked Nendou as Saiki stood behind the two.
“He said he had to go buy a swimsuit. The one he brought apparently went missing.” Nendou told the blue haired boy.
Now, that want a mistake. Sure, it may have been a dirty trick but Saiki rather die than see you in the swimsuit you brought. After all, you bought a shirt with it. He knew you didn’t take off your shirt often, even at the beach, but he was determined to see you with just a pair of shorts.
Much like how all the guys that crowded around the girls changing house waited patiently to see Teruhashi in a two piece swim suit.
It was a while after Teruhashi came out, and when everyone was in the water that you made your appearance. You had your hands wedged into your swim shirt pockets as you allowed your feet to take in the hot sand that felt magical between your toes. You gazed around for a moment before noticing pink hair sitting under an umbrella.
A devilish smirk crawled on your features as you began to slowly approach the male. This may give Saiki a heart attack, but it was worth it. As you stood over him from behind, you attacked. Your body shot down as your arms wrapped aruund his neck and pushed your chest into his bare back.
“Hey, what’s a cute guy like you doing all alone at a place like this?” You teased, allowing your voice to go on for some time so that he realized it was just you.
Saiki immediately flinched at the contact before noticing it was just you. However, when he noticed the touch of your skin against his, he could feel his entire body heat up. The sensation was new, he’s felt his face go hot before, but his entire body was a new one.
“What took you so long?” Saiki tried to play off.
You just sighed and got a tighter grip on the male, your chest pushing more into his back. “Someone stole my swimsuit. Sadly, I didn’t have enough money to replace the whole thing, so I had to go by some swim shorts.”
“Hm, as least you’re here.” Saiki stated, making sure not to comment on the ‘stolen swimsuit’.
“Yeah,” you uttered as you released Saiki from your grasp and sat down next to him. You gazed out at the beautiful ocean that was filled with laughing people with this loving look in your eyes, all the while not realizing Saiki’s held that same gaze as he stared at you.
When you did turn to him, he completely lost himself in his mind as his eyes wondered about your figure. You weren’t the most fit guy in the world, but you did have these subtle yet enchanting muscle lines along your upper body that made Saiki lose himself.
“I saw that.” You suddenly said. Saiki’s eyes now darting back to yours. “You just checked me out.”
Saiki saw no way out of this one. So, he just confessed it. “So what if I was?”
In all honesty, he just expected you to laugh and tell him that it’s only fair if he does the same. However, the twist was unexpected and, well, definitely appreciated. He watched as you gazed down, this bashful look in your eyes as you did everything to avoid his gaze. Your body language wasn’t helping either. Your fingers were tapping against the towel and the heel of your foot was moving back and forth.
Maybe this trip wasn’t totally for nothing.
7. All That Was A Secret
Spring break. It was one of those weeks that Saiki went to go visit his grandparents all the way in the middle fo nowhere. So, for the most of this break, you were home alone.
It was kind of boring. This break was definitely not one that you looked forward to, more now then before, especially after the beach during the class trip. Those words always ended up repeating in your mind, way too much then you thought they would. Then again, you shouldn’t be surprised. All those days that you’d try to subtly touch him, tease him, it was just a way to relieve yourself of the pent up emotions you’ve had for him for a few years now.
Currently, you were in your room upon your bed, hugging one of your pillows close to your chest. You never tried to dwell on if Saiki felt the same or not, but recently, it’s been clawing at you more and more. It wasn’t like you didn’t think you had a chance, but more if Saiki was more comfortable just staying friends. You would understand, even if it would hurt, you’d do it for him. You’d do anything for that guy.
You sighed before slowly lifting your body off the bed. Today wasn’t a good day for being sad, it was summer break, after all. You knew you had to get your mind off Saiki, and him being away made it a bit easier. So, you grabbed some clothes from your closet and laid them on the bed. You weren’t sure what you were going to do, but you were determined to fine something to take your mind off him.
You let your pants drop to the ground before taking the ones on your bed and letting your legs slip through each of the pant legs. Next, you stripped your shirt off and took in a deep breath. You paused for a moment before dropping the dirty shirt on the ground and grabbing the new one. In all honestly, you never really pay attention to your surroundings when changing. But, does anyone? It wasn’t until your head went through the hole on the top of the shirt did you realize that the bed in front of you was now missing and the wall you were staring at was not the wall of your bed room. When you turned your head, you locked eyes with Saiki in an unfamiliar room.
“Huh?” You uttered under your breath before your eyes widened, your face felling hotter than usual before frantically pulling your shirt all the way down. Once down, you opened your mouth and said, “You can’t do that without me knowing! What if I was in the middle of a shower or something and not just changing?”
“I would have given you some of my clothes.” He replied nonchalantly.
You bit the inside of your cheek before crossing your arms over your chest. “Why did you teleport me anyway?”
“I can’t stand it here.” Saiki confessed. Of course, you knew he didn’t exactly enjoying visiting his grandparents but he has never done this before. “Just hang out with me. I’ll send you back after.”
You sighed. You can’t exactly say no after that, so, with that Saiki and you began to watch a movie. It wasn’t one you two watched before so it was easy to get lost in it. Though, it was also easy to focus on Saiki when he suddenly placed his hand on top of yours as you guys watched. You weren’t too sure if he thought you wouldn’t notice, but there was no way you were going to pull away. After all, it’s not like he placed his fingers between yours, if he did that, you don’t know if you could handle it.
After a half an hour into the movie you finally got the plot of it, and you weren’t amused at all. It was a best friends to lovers troupe. More specifically, childhood friends that drifted apart only to be brought back together by work and now slowly are developing feelings for one another. Let’s just say now, you were a little more than nervous.
Thank god Saiki couldn’t read your mind, because now, you feel like you’d give him a headache. You couldn’t help but ask yourself if he knows and is only doing this to taunt you, or maybe this was all just a big coincident. Yeah, one massive coincident. In reality though, Saiki was just teasing you. He had no idea of your feelings but he wanted to watch the movie with you to implant the idea in his mind of the possibility.
Well, his plan was working. Maybe a little too much. Though, as you were about to spit something out, your eyes suddenly shot down to the floor in embarrassment. Yep, a make out scene. Of course, Saiki had no idea about that, but it was better than just the sappy stuff cause now it was really ingrained in your head.
Once it was over and you had somewhat of your cool back you couldn’t help it. You needed to ask. If it blew up in flames, then so be it.
“Hey, Saiki,” you uttered out lowly. Saiki caught it immediately and turned his gaze on you. “I have a.. question.”
“What?” He asked.
“Well,” your voice trailed off as you moved your eyes down to where both of your hands connected. “We’ve been best friends for a long time now but, have you ever, um, thought about doing...that?
Saiki remained quiet for a moment, his thoughts going everywhere before thinking to himself, ‘All the time, actually.’
As much as he wish he could have said that telepathically, he could never try to say that vocally. So, he just opted for a nod and watched your body flinch. The hand he touched growing warm.
“You’re hot.” Saiki suddenly spit out. This time, you brought your hand back to your body so he couldn’t tell anymore.
“S-So what?” You stuttered out.
To say that Saiki didn’t like this side of you was an understatement. He’s never never seen you so flustered before, and it was really adorable to look at.
“It’s cute.” Saiki commented, his body leaning in just to see your face closer.
You turned your head to the side, eyes darting to the tv just to look away for a moment to compose yourself. You knew that there wasn’t gonna be another perfect moment like this so, you slowly reached over to place your hand on the back of Saiki’s neck. It was warm. When he noticed what you wanted as you started to lean back and gently pull him with you, he complied quickly until he gazed at you from above. Suddenly, he was jealous at the fact that Kaido got to see this view before him.
He stared at you for a moment before watching you bite down on your bottom lip, his mind doing backflips at the want to read your mind, but also at how good you looked under him.
“Kiss me.” You whispered under your breath, just loud enough for him to hear.
“If I do,” Saiki uttered lowly. “I might not be able to stop.”
“That’s okay.”

how to write an essay (tommyinnit x fem reader)
Tumblr media
a/n : may i wish a very happy birthday to tommy... look at him being one year closer to a 18 year old! my boy’s getting big. big. big man.
 “well... Thomas. that was an interesting essay...” said the english teacher quite unsurely. Tommy still stood in front of the whole class, his arms crossed in a very i-don’t-want-to-be-here manner.
 “but... i’m sure you could have done better. i will not be telling your mark now, as you all know very well they’ll be announced next thursday.” the teacher finished, as a piercing silence lingered in the class.
 however, one person was quite eager, hand up in the air, showing very clearly that their question is really important. the teacher sighed:
 “yes, Y/n?”
 the girl smiled in a very sickly sweet way:
 “thank you, mister Wilson. i would like to start off with how unprofessionaly you reacted to Tommy’s essay. even if a kid did bad on their work, teachers should show the mistakes in a calm and subtle way, as i’m sure that was taught while you were learning to become an educator.”
 the whole class gaped at Y/n’s words - that was obviously not the way someone should talk to a teacher, but everyone seemed to like it, as unbelievable smiles appeared on their faces. Tommy, on the other hand, was standing in a complete trance.
 “Y/n, i-” started mister Wilson, but he was immediately cut off by Y/n’s wave of words:
 “second of all, mister Wilson. i am sure i’m not the only one in this class who thinks Tommy’s essay was really nice. am i?” she looked around her, searching for approval on her classmates’ faces. a lot of them nodded. Tommy still stood in mild shock.
 “and third and last of all!” called Y/n in a sing-a-song voice, “i am having terrible period cramps, so can i go to the nurse’s office?” she finished, head on her hands and an adorable smile on her face.
 everyone laughed, some people whistled and clapped. this was quite a show.
 “you may go Y/n- but i will have a talk with you after class.” the teacher said, obviously trying to sound threatening.
 “woohoo, can’t wait!” Y/n said, punching the air triumphantly as her classmates laughed again. she left the classroom with a bang of the door.
~~~~lil time skip for ya’ll~~~~
 Y/n exited the nurse’s office with her tummy feeling a bit better. she made her way over to the next classroom she’ll be having a class in and unlocked her phone, starting to scroll through social media.
 “hey.” someone said, suddenly appearing by her shoulder. the girl looked around and saw Tommy with a nervous grin, clutching his backpack straps.
 “well hello there, mister my-essay’s-really-good-but-my-dumbass-teacher-won’t-tell-me-that!” Y/n said, putting her phone in her hoodie’s pocket, showing she is open for a conversation. Tommy laughed:
 “i just wanted to thank you that you stood up for me during english. that was really pog- i meant cool of you.” he corrected himself nervously. Y/n just giggled and told him to continue.
 “yeah well... i would have done that myself but i have quite a history with saying rude shit to my teachers and i’m scared of my mom, so...” Tommy laughed, and the girl laughed along with him.
 “yeah. i get you man. who wouldn’t be?”
 “true. well, i don’t know if it’s a gift for standing up for me or because you so gladly announced to the whole class that you’re having cramps, but...” the boy took out a bag of hot pockets from his pocket and handed it to Y/n, “i like to believe it’s because of both reasons.”
 “awee, that is like, so sweet of you! thanks!” the girl said happily.
 “sure thing. i know this teachers’ room that’s always unlocked for some reason and there’s a microwave there, wanna go heat your hot pocket there?” Tommy asked, pointing to the direction with his thumb.
 “yeah dude, let’s go! i’m starving.” Y/n laughed. Tommy smiled and started leading the way.
 “oh and by the way. about the “pog” thing. you shouldn’t apologize. after all, i’d also use it accidentaly if i was a twitch streamer with like 5 million followers!” the girl said, punching his arm playfully.
 “wait- you know me?” Tommy asked, quite startled,
 “yeah, of course! everyone knows you!”
 “heh- i guess i’m just not used to people treating me like a normal human being even if they recognized me.” Tommy said, chuckling to himself. he looked at the big smile on Y/n’s face and finally believed that he has met someone very unique and different - in a good way.
The Kind of Girl You Take Home to Mom (part 3 - FINALE) | Andy Barber x reader
(part 1) (part 2)
summary: andy knows how to take what he wants, and he wants you.
word count: 5.6k
warnings: SMUT, subtle dubcon elements, loss of virginity, infidelity (obviously), wedding ring kink (shocking!!! jk),
Tumblr media
a/n: wow, after all this time I FINALLY finished this series.  sorry it took so long.  I still have an alternate ending that I want to write... but I wanted to go ahead and get this out first.  thank you everyone for your patience!  I kind of expect this to flop despite being the most requested thing ever, but idgaf.
“Honestly?  I always had this weird fear that he was going to try to seduce one of my girlfriends.”
For the second time that day, you choked.
“Wh— are you okay?” Jacob gasped, running over to you as you coughed up water.
Your attempt to respond was useless as you could only sputter and cough, trying to communicate that you were fine with a casual wave, but only managing to flail your arm wildly.
“Was it something I said?” he pressed.
“No, I just—” you wheezed, but interrupted yourself with another coughing fit as your eyes watered from the lack of air.
He slapped your back to try to help you along but it wasn’t very effective, just adding one new source of pain to your predicament.  I always had this weird fear that he was going to try to seduce one of my girlfriends, that was what he’d said.  What does that even mean?  Did he mean it like “I always had this fear, for no good reason,” or did he mean it like “I was always afraid of this, and now it’s come true”?
The way Jacob was looking at you— kind, concerned, patient— it didn’t seem like he suspected you of anything.  He probably would’ve led with that if he knew something, right?
When your airways finally cleared and you were able to start catching your breath, you finished getting ready for bed quickly and hopped into bed.  You couldn’t handle any long conversations with Jacob, though you tolerated some cuddling before you fell asleep.
You dreamt that night that you were drowning.  Andy was holding you, his arms wrapped around you from behind as he pulled you to shore.  Or was he pulling you under?  Either way, you figured you’d had enough water in your lungs for one day.
~
You probably should’ve let them win at Scrabble… you just couldn’t help yourself.
“I have…” Jacob trailed off as he counted in his head, “177 points.”
“209,” Laurie announced, reaching over to rub Jacob on the shoulder sympathetically.  “Sorry, honey.”
“384,” Andy grinned, setting down his pen and pad triumphantly and looking to you for your score.
“Um,” you stalled, almost embarrassed to say now.  “I got, uh, 559.”
Laurie and Jacob erupted into sputters of confusion, demanding that you recount your points as if they hadn’t all seen you play ‘quixotic’ on a triple word space.
“Good game,” Andy murmured with a soft smirk as he stood up and left the table.  You smiled back at him quickly, the other two too busy recounting the numbers on your pad to even notice.
So, that was the end of board games for the night.  Jacob suggested a movie but you just knew that would just be you and him cuddling under one blanket… while Laurie and Andy cuddled under another.  You weren’t sure you could take that.  Instead, you decided to read your book outside— even though you figured Laurie was disappointed you didn’t want to do anything more social.  Complimenting her beautifully landscaped backyard eased the blow, though.
It was hard to get comfortable on the patio couch, not because of the couch itself but because you knew it wouldn’t be long until somebody bothered you.  When you heard the door open, you were a little disappointed to see Jacob approaching you.
“Hey,” he smiled, sliding in next to you on the couch and wrapping an arm around you.
“Hey,” you greeted in reply, slightly flat in your affect as you immediately dove back into your book.
“You’re feeling okay, right?  We could go for a drive if you need some space,” he offered, rubbing your shoulder gently.
“No, I’m alright,” you mumbled.  “You know me, I like my peace and quiet when I can get it.”
“You… like them, don’t you?”  He must’ve sensed that you didn’t understand what he was referring to at first.  “My family, I mean.”
“Oh!  Yeah, that’s not the issue, really.  I know we’re going back home tomorrow but I still need to decompress a little bit.  I’ll be more social tonight, promise.”
When you looked up at him, his face was closer than you’d anticipated.  It reminded you of when you two met, at a party where the music was so loud that you’d had to stand about this close to be able to carry a conversation.  Well, technically that wasn’t the first time you met, because you had him in one of your classes that semester, but it was the first time you’d talked.  He was fun, he was new, he was friendly.  I can’t stay long, I’ve got a test in the morning, you’d yelled your explanation.  You’re gonna ace it anyway, he had dismissed at the time, so you should stay and have fun!  You deserve to have fun.
Maybe that was what had made you attracted to him: you couldn’t think of anyone else who had been so worried about what you deserved.  But now, Andy was added to that list.  You hated to imagine that Jacob had inherited that nature from his father.  Is he treating you right? Andy has asked you that night, and you really weren’t sure even now what the answer was.  He certainly wasn’t treating you poorly, but was that enough?
Back in reality (and not in your whizzing, anxiety-ridden thoughts), Jacob leaned in and kissed you softly.  The kiss was just like him: patient, gentle, but also somehow energetic.  It was… nice.  Comfortable.  Feeling a surge of boldness, you set your book aside and leaned into him, pushing the kiss a little deeper.
He let out a tiny little noise, nearly a moan, as your tongues began to slide together.  His hand reached up to cradle the back of your head— you remembered that he did that a lot when you were making out, but all those times felt so foreign now.  Your hands reached up to rub against his chest through his t-shirt; that dark maroon one he wore all the time, so much that it was forming a few holes at the hem.  His hand slid down to your back and—
“Am I interrupting something?” Andy’s voice tore you both from the moment and from each other’s arms.
“Dad!” Jacob protested, sounding particularly immature with the way his voice rose to a shrill yelp of shock.
“I was just coming out here to let you know that your mother wants your help with dinner,” Andy explained, “but I wasn’t going to let an opportunity to embarrass you like that go by.”
“You never do,” Jacob sighed, giving you a quick kiss to the cheek as a goodbye as he stood up and walked inside.  You felt Andy’s eyes on you as you looked to the ground awkwardly, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand.  A few seconds after the door was shut, he spoke again.
“I couldn’t let you two get too hot and heavy, and besmirch this innocent patio couch.”
“You’d better not be mad at me for kissing my boyfriend,” you frowned as you stood up.  “That’s the most normal thing that’s happened all weekend.”
“I’m not,” he assured, beginning to step closer to you.  “Jealous?  Slightly.  Not that I see him as competition or anything.”
“Uh, you probably should,” you disagreed, raising your eyebrow in a mix of confusion and challenge.
“Honey, I saw you kissing.  It was nothing to write home about,” he laughed.  “He doesn’t seem to realize that, since he brought you here.  Can’t blame him—-” he stepped closer to you and ever-so-delicately brushed his fingers against your arm— “but you know you can do better.  You know nobody can make you feel like I do.”
“Andy,” you murmured, trying to step back as you glanced to the window by the backdoor, through which the both of you were clearly visible to anyone who sat in the living room.  It was empty now, but it was too close for comfort.  “Someone could see…”
“They’re in the kitchen, don’t worry,” he soothed, leaning down to ghost his lips over your cheek and neck, “nobody’s gonna see us, angel, s’just you and me…”
You didn’t want to, but you melted into his touch anyway.  Just those little circles that his fingers drew on your back made your entire body erupt in shivers.  “Andy,” you found yourself whispering as if you needed to remember who was doing this to you.
“I’m gonna fuck you tonight,” he whispered against your ear.
Your breath caught in your throat.
“Are you scared?” he teased.  “Afraid my cock’ll split you in half?”
Embarrassed, you nodded.
He grinned, pulling back from your neck to force you into a deep, dominating kiss.  You wrapped your arms around his neck and clung to his shoulders, eagerly allowing his tongue access as it pressed into yours.  A little moan escaped you, causing him to pull your body even closer.  You had worried that kissing the two of them in a row like this would lead to an inevitable comparison, which would be beyond disgusting.  But nope, this kiss made you forget that you’d kissed Jacob at all.  Not that that exactly stopped it from being disgusting.
You knew if you didn’t stop yourself now, you wouldn’t be able to soon… and you really needed this kiss to end before you two got caught.  Pushing on his chest, you pulled back with a sigh.
“We shouldn’t—” you began.
“No, you’re right,” he agreed with a reluctant nod.  Still, you missed his touch now that it was gone.  “We’ll have plenty of time for that later.  It’s just hard to keep putting on a happy face when all I want is to grab you and bend you over the table and—”
“Oh god, you can’t talk like that,” you laughed nervously.  “You’re gonna drive me crazy, I swear.”
“Haven’t I already?” he smirked.
You nodded, because he was completely right.  With a quick wave, you opened the door to step into the house.  He called your name, getting your attention as you turned around.  In his hand, arm outstretched, was your book.  “Almost forgot this,” he smiled.
“Right, thanks,” you nodded, taking it and going back inside.
~
You spent the rest of the day reaching new heights of anxiousness.  Shaking your leg, chewing your lip, scratching your wrist— how could you relax after what Andy had said, how could you act casual?  You were just waiting for the other shoe to drop, for the obvious opportunity to arise and for Andy to be inevitable like he always was.
You weren’t sure how he did it, but he did.  He got Laurie and Jacob to leave you two alone in the house.  With his influential career, he was probably used to getting what he wanted, but you hadn’t anticipated that he was so good at the hard work it took to get those things.
He got you, though.  Not that that took all too much hard work.
“Enjoy the movie you guys!” you told them as they were making their way out the door.  Jacob leaned in for a goodbye kiss, and softly asked one last time if you wanted to come.
He pulled your shirt up over your head, and you hadn’t even gotten it all the way off before he undid your bra with a quick motion.  You hated to think about Jacob in that moment, but those few times you’d fooled around with him to this extreme, that part of the process had taken quite a bit longer.
When your breasts were free his hands latched onto them instantly; the rough pads of his fingers felt good against the sensitive skin, and his hands were so damn big.  You felt your back arching into his touch.
“Can’t wait to get my mouth on these,” he purred, “but I need to see all of you first.”
You yelped as he picked you up and tossed you back onto the bed.  He took off your socks first, which made you feel a little hot for some reason, and then reached down to pull at your shorts.  You lifted your hips to make it easier, looking up at him and gnawing on your bottom lip nervously.
As he tossed your shorts and underwear aside, you suddenly felt very naked compared to his clothedness.  Probably because you were completely naked and he was completely clothed.  He smiled down at you before grabbing your ankles and resting them on his shoulders, starting to kiss up your leg slowly while never breaking eye contact.
You whined impatiently.  “Andy, please, need you…”
“Shh,” he soothed, “we’ve got time baby, I finally got you all to myself and I’m gonna savor it.”
His lips moved up your calf and thigh, but irritatingly skipped anywhere salacious to get straight to your hips and belly.  “Hnng, Andy—”
You choked on your words when he licked over your nipple, swirling his tongue around it before sucking it into his mouth.  It instantly hardened between his lips and he smiled.  “Baby, you’re so sensitive,” he cooed against your skin as he kissed his way to the other and did the same.
Your hips bucked up and made contact with his clothed thigh; you let out a high-pitched moan and did it again, rubbing yourself against his suit pants.  The rough material sent shocks of pleasure through you as Andy smiled and left little love bites along your neck.
"Look at you, such a needy little girl," he tsked.  "Rubbing your cunt on me like a whore.  You're gonna make a mess, baby."
"'m sorry I just— oh, fuck," you sighed, your head falling back onto the pillow with a soft thud.
"It's only fair," he shrugged.  "I don't mind spending the rest of the night with your come on my slacks.  So long as you spend it with my come still in your cunt."
You gasped, trying to imagine how you would hide that from Laurie and Jacob…
But you couldn’t keep on that train of thought for very long as he started to kiss down your stomach again.
“Please, Andy, need— fuck, I need you to— um, taste me, please,” you whimpered.
“Hmm, beg a little more,” he smirked.
It was a long line of nonsense after that; some barely-intelligible string of ‘please’ and ‘Andy’ with a little flair of embarrassing whining.  He laughed a little before he finally did what you’d asked, latching his lips onto your swollen clit.  Your back arched instantly as your hands clenched at the comforter beneath you.
It wasn’t at all like you’d imagined it would be— it was so warm, and he alternated between surrounding you with his mouth and teasing you with the tip of his tongue.  You let out a long, deep moan when his tongue slipped inside you, twisting and massaging your walls so perfectly.  Your hands carded through his hair, accidentally tightening and pulling when he licked right over your clit.  He didn’t seem to mind, though, just moaning against you and doing it again and again and again until your legs were quivering.
Just as you were about to tell him that you were close, he instantly pulled away to speak.  “I can tell you’re close,” he purred as if he’d read your mind.
“Please, don’t stop,” you begged, but he continued to sit up and started to open his belt.
“It’s not time to come yet, honey.  It’s gonna feel so much better when you come while I’m inside you— for both of us,” he grinned.
As his sweater was discarded and his trousers were pushed down, you bit your lip.  You weren’t sure you would ever get used to seeing his cock, especially when it had leaked enough pre-cum to leave a wet patch on his boxer briefs.
He was on you the second he’d finished stripping, caging in your body with his, growling as he started to kiss your neck.  You whined and arched your back, your heart racing as you tried to cope with the fact that this was happening, this was really happening.  It was surreal, or maybe it was more than real— you were going to lose your virginity.  To Andy fucking Barber.
“I think you’re ready for me, don’t you?” he asked teasingly, his hips moving forward to press his cock against your inner thigh.  You nodded as you swallowed thickly, gasping as he reached down and started to rub his swollen head through your folds.
“Please…” you sighed, even as your chest tightened with distant fear.
You had wondered if what he'd said about his marriage to Laurie being sexless was true.  It certainly would be a convenient lie to garner your sympathy and make him look better.  But you had no doubts it was the truth when he pushed his cock into you; he moaned like a man who had dreamed of this moment for years, who had been so deprived of affection for so long.
It hurt less than you’d expected, although it was certainly overwhelming.
“Oh fuck, Andy,” you moaned,
“Say my name again, baby,” he demanded with a groan.
“Andy!” you repeated, a little louder right as the tip of his cock hit so deep inside you that it hurt— and for some reason, you wanted him to do it again.
“Fuck, you need to be quiet, or the neighbors’ll hear you,” he hissed as he pumped into you deeper and faster.  “Can you do that or do I need to choke you to shut you up?”
You whimpered from fear at that idea and he laughed a little.
“Don’t act so innocent, baby, I know who you really are: you’re my dirty little slut.”
“No I’m—” you began to disagree.  A quick slap to the face, not too hard but stinging nonetheless, shut you up.
“You know you are,” he hissed, “so say it.”
You could barely carry this conversation, his cock filling you so completely that you couldn’t think about anything else.  “Andy, I—”
“Say it.”
You gulped but managed to pant between heavy breaths, “I’m…  I’m your dirty little slut, Andy…”
He grinned and began to move faster, deeper, somehow.  You clutched at his shoulders, kissing him and groaning into his mouth.  When his hips slammed into yours, you moaned louder than maybe you ever had before.  "You want it rough, honey?” he taunted.  “Want me to fuck you hard?"
"Yes, please!" you sobbed, your voice hoarse and desperate now.
He grabbed your hips and made good on his offer of brutality, and then some, making you nearly scream.  He kissed you again, perhaps in an attempt to keep you quiet, although it didn’t work that well, as you mouth fell open with every cry.  His teeth captured your lip as he growled above you, holding your hips up so the angle was perfect to send his cock right into the end of you, so deep— too deep, in the most perfect way.
His cock stroking against your walls was indescribable; each thrust made your entire body erupt in shivers.  The stretch was difficult but you loved it, you loved the way his body pushed yours to its limits.
"Gonna come inside you, honey," he moaned, "gonna fill you up so good, gonna mark your body with my come and make you mine."
"Oh god, Andy, please," you sobbed.
"You gonna come for me, pretty girl?” he encouraged.
“Yes, so close—” you cut yourself off as you choked on nothing, you entire body beginning to tighten and seize up as pleasure spiralled higher and higher.
“Just like that, come on my cock,” he demanded, but you couldn’t do anything else even if you tried— the coil snapped as your vision went spotty.  Just as you started to close your eyes, he held your neck and stared down at you.  “Look at me when I make you come.”
You struggled to keep your eyes open with the intensity of sensation washing over you, but you didn’t want to know what would happen if you disobeyed.  Those blue eyes pierced through you as you shivered underneath him, and with your walls constricting his cock just felt even thicker inside you.  “Andy,” you whimpered, your fingers and toes erupting into pins and needles as you felt him flexing inside you— and he must have been coming in you in that moment, with the way he sighed and his thrusts pumped deeper yet more erratically.
Warmth spilled inside you as numbness decorated your extremities and fogginess clouded your mind.  You lost focus as he collapsed beside you— even when he pulled out, you still felt full, due in part to his come inside you and in part to being ruined so thoroughly by him.  Maybe you’d feel normal again tomorrow, or next week, but right now it was impossible to forget that you were fucked, in every sense of the word, by Andy Barber.
He pulled you into his arms and kissed your neck slowly, his breathing slowly returning to a stable pace as his chest pressed against your back.  He was mumbling something about how you were his girl, how you did so good for him, but you were already drifting into sleep even though it was barely nine o’clock.
You woke up the next morning in the guest room with Jacob beside you, who informed you that he’d found you already asleep when he got back from the movie he’d gone to see with his mom.
You left just a few hours later, waving goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Barber as Jacob pulled the car out of the driveway.
three months later...
The sun was just starting to set as you made your way home after your last class of the night.  Campus was gorgeous at this time of day, but you weren’t really taking the time to notice it as you focused instead on how wonderful it would feel to kick your shoes off, slip off your bra and slide into bed.  What you didn’t anticipate when you unlocked your dorm room’s door was to find Andy sitting on your bed as he waited for you.  You shut the door quickly so none of the girls mulling about the hall would see him.
He looked so out of place in your dorm.  He was so… adult, and yes, everyone there was an adult, but he was a whole new level of adulthood compared to the other residents of the honors dorm.
“You shouldn’t be here,” you reminded him.
“Why shouldn’t I be?” he questioned casually.
“Because your son is on the other side of the hall,” you explained, unamused.  “What if he sees you here?  What if he sees your car in the garage?”
“You worry too much.  I don’t give a fuck if my son lives nearby, if I wanna visit my girlfriend then I’m gonna do it.”
He’d never used that word for you before— or at least, not in front of you.  It made you feel nervous, glancing to the floor as he stepped closer towards you.  "I think I'm too young to be your girlfriend,” you decided.
"Perfect age for a mistress, though."
You stammered as you tried to balance the way that word made you feel sick with the way it made you feel aroused.  He lifted your chin with a finger, his other hand pulling you closer at the waist.  "Are you trying to act innocent, honey?” he smirked.  “Do you think I didn't realize that it turns you on?"
"Wh-what turns me on?"
"The sneaking around.  The secrets, the lies; the fact that it's wrong, forbidden, taboo.  It's why you haven't broken up with my son yet and it's why you stare at my ring all the time— yes, I noticed."
You frowned, crossing your arms impatiently.  “I haven’t broken up with Jacob because my relationship with him makes a great cover for my relationship with you… I’m doing that for us.  And do you think I like the ring?  I hate that stupid chunk of silver, seeing it on your hand makes me so livid because it just reminds me that I don’t have you all to myself and—”
“Baby, you know I’m all yours,” he purred, kissing down your neck as your back began to arch.  “Meanwhile, I have to share you with him.”
You were amazed that he could refer to his own son with such disdain, but then again, you knew how jealous he could get.
“If you’re mine then take the ring off,” you suggested between panting breaths.
“If you’re mine then take it off for me,” he countered.  His left hand was travelling up your neck and you grabbed it by the wrist.  He pulled back to look at you as you brought his fingers to your mouth, kissing the tips of them before sucking on his ring finger, deeper and deeper, until it was poking down your throat and the ring was at your lips.  Lubricating it with your spit and spinning it with your tongue, you used your teeth to pull the ring slowly off of his finger.  He gasped a little as you opened your mouth and displayed it for him on your tongue, before spitting it out and across the room; it made a tiny little clinking noise as it hit your floor.
“Fuck,” he growled, the sound deep in his throat and dripping with desperation.
It felt like his hand never left your neck that night, like he was trying to claim you in every way he could all at once.  He was so possessive over you, ironically.  It was hard not to feel like your whole life was waiting.  Waiting for the semester to end so the next one could begin.  Waiting to graduate and get a job and finally begin your real adult life.  Waiting for the marks Andy left on your skin to fade so you didn’t have to wear a turtleneck in June.
Waiting for Jacob to find out, like he inevitably would.
Waiting for Andy to leave Laurie, or at least do something to make it seem like this was going somewhere.
The thing about Andy was that he had this magical ability to make you stop worrying, in a way nobody and nothing else could.  When you were apart, reality would set in again and you’d decide you needed to confront him the next time you saw him.  It wasn’t even that you needed him to commit to you, specifically, you just needed to know what was going on— because how could he stay married through all this?  He needed to leave her, not for you but for himself.  You would get yourself all worked up and then he’d show up and soothe you until you forgot what you wanted to say in the first place.  When you were together, the future didn’t matter anymore, and neither did everything that was wrong about what you were doing.
It was like living in a dream, a really strange dream.  You were drowning in him, just like you’d known you would, but you didn’t want to stop.  You didn’t want to stop the secret dates when you gave your friends and boyfriend some excuse about having to study, the rendezvous in the back of his car, the midnight phone calls where he was whispering so his wife wouldn’t hear.
You figured that after all this time of being a good girl— the perfect daughter, the perfect student, the perfect girlfriend, the kind of girl you’d take home to mom— you deserved to let go.  You deserved to have fun.
Hearts Wide Open
Silently, you let Billy pull you inside. You can't help but give a quick look around as he closes the door. “Are you busy?” You ask, gesturing at the TV.
“I was going to work out but...” He walks over there and turns it off. “I–” Someone knocks, cutting him off. “Who's this?”
“Delivery for Susan Hargrove.” A male voice says, and Billy rolls his eyes.
“Give me a sec.” He mutters before heading to the door.
Nodding, you pace around the living room. There's a bench press in the middle of it, and the bellbar seems very heavy. Walking further inside, you give a glance at the door. Billy seems to be arguing with the guy, so you decide to explore, walking through a small hall. On the first door, you hear some music, so it's probably Max's room. You go for the next door, slowly opening it.
It doesn't take much time until you notice it's Billy's room. He doesn't seem like he's done arguing, so you walk in. The bed is messed up, and there are movie posters on the wall. Walking around, you notice a couple of pictures on the inside of his wardrobe door, which was left open. In one of them, a blonde woman is looking away, a hand keeping her hair away from her face. In the other, the same woman with a kid next to her, both smiling. It's Billy's mother, that's clear.
“Sneaky,” Billy says, startling you a little.
Stepping away from the wardrobe, you clear your throat. “Sorry, Mmm... She's beautiful.” You mutter, gesturing at the pictures. “And you seemed very happy.”
“I was.”
“Yeah...” Taking a deep breath, you cross your arms. “B, I...”
“I'm sorry, (Y/N).”
Shrugging your shoulders, you walk over to the bed, sitting on the edge, eyes locked on your hands. “Why did you... Why did you disappear like that?” You didn't plan on getting all sentimental, but it's just flowing out. “We were fine... Normal and then... You just left.”
“Stacy pushed you because of me. People are... People are starting to notice we're around each other a lot and they'll start calling you a slut. And... I already screwed up my life, I can't screw up yours.” Billy sits next to you, so you pull a leg up, folding it under you and turning your body towards him.
“First of all, I need to know if what you said at the mall still stands. Or else I'll sound like an idiot.” Keeping your voice low, you try not to sound too nervous.
“Every single word. That's why I decided to step away.”
Nodding, mostly to yourself, you sigh. “I... I was trying, you know? Trying to see if we would work out somehow.” You didn't want to admit it, but here you are. And if you don't speak your heart now, you never will. “We're extreme opposites but I do enjoy spending time with you. And the friendship we're creating is good so when you left, when you disappeared, skipped school... It upset me.” Looking down, you see his hand on the mattress. Shyly, and very slowly, you take it, your fingers caressing his. “If you're tired of me, of... Waiting to see how things play out, it's alright. But please, go back to school. Keep studying because I'll help you no matter what. Just... Just don't do this.”
Billy takes a deep breath before taking your hand in his and moving closer. “I disappeared because you're the only person whose life I can't ruin. I can't be the reason why you get hurt, or called mean names, or–”
“I don't care about what people think or say, Billy. I only care about what's real. What's happening here and...” Shrugging your shoulders, you pull his hand up with yours, just to make your point clear. “It's freaking good so far. At least to me.”
“A girl like you should stay away from guys like me.”
“I know.” Nodding, you bite your lip. “My mother and I spoke about it. About you. So did Nancy, and Steve... They warned me not to fall for your games.”
“There are no games, not with you.” The honesty hits you a different way, and you can't help but smile.
You're aware of what people say, and you know the things Billy did. But you can see the difference now. Billy never tried anything. No flirting, no cheesy pick-up lines, not calling you to a ‘more quiet place’. Nothing. He's being... A completely different person. He treats you nicely, a freaking gentleman, something you never expected of him. Mostly not after the way he approached you last year, all charming and wicked smiles. This is different. This is real.
“Billy... I called before coming and your sister answered the phone.” You start, wondering if you should really ask what you're about to ask. But still, you need to. You need to know if you can allow certain feelings to emerge. “She said something about a keychain and... She said that... That she thinks you're in love with me.” The last part is barely a whisper, and you wonder if he even heard you.
Billy doesn't answer, he just stands up, walking away.
“B, I'm–”
“It fell from your bag last year.” He says, and you turn around on the bed, finding him next to the nightstand, a metal daisy flower in his hand. “I was going to give it back but it was broken so... I don't know. I wanted to just throw it away but I ended up keeping it.”
“Why, B?”
“Because it reminded me of you.” Stretching out his arm, he passes it over to you. You remember it now, taking the cold metal in your hands. “I thought it was everything I would ever have. A broken keychain and those moments that I got to look at you from afar.”
After a while, you give it back to him. It takes a few seconds before he takes it, sighing. “I always noticed you staring. I just never knew why.”
“I may be.”
Furrowing your eyebrows, you tilt your head to the side a little. “I don't get it.”
“I may be in love with you.” His voice is heavy, and you can see in his eyes that he feels vulnerable. Billy Hargrove admitting he's in love with a girl? This might be hard for him.
“I like you, B. So... Don't decide things for me.” Getting up from the bed, you walk over where he stands. “I don't care about mean names, or stupid girls pushing me. I can deal with that. And you can't ruin my life, I'm the only one who can do that.” Taking his hand, you look up into his eyes. “And I don't think you ruined yours. You can still fix things. You are fixing things.”
“With your help.”
“With my help.” You agree with a smile. “So what do you say? Can we please go back to normal, you and I?”
Billy's lips break into a smile, and he nods. “Is that what you want? To be seen with the bad boy? You, princess of Hawkins.”
“That's Nancy's nickname.” Stepping backward, you smirk at him.
“Oh, yeah. Yours is ‘pretty girl’.” He quickly ends the distance between you two, towering over you.
“Stacy wouldn't agree.”
“Stacy is jealous.” Billy lightly touches your cheek, so softly you barely feel his fingers, like a ghost. “I'll say it a million times over, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen.”
“Am I?” You shyly ask, eyes focused on his. Billy was never this close, and it makes your stomach burn.
“You are.” Suddenly, he steps away, walking around you, straight to the door. “Your tits are fine by the way.” He says from the hall, when he's already out.
Your whole face burns, and you storm after him. “First of all, don't use that word.” You yell, walking fast to the living room. Billy is by the bench press, ready to lift the bellbar. “Second, drop that. We're going to study until you pass out.”
“What?”
“I'm not asking.” Raising an eyebrow, you put both hands on your hips. “C'mon, Hargrove.”
It takes a while until he drops the bar, eyes rolling before he follows you.
The drive to your place is on separate cars. You'd stay at his house, but you were quick to get that his father is a problem, so it's just easier to do it at your place.
When you get there, you make a show opening the front door, gesturing for him to get inside.
“Mom, I got Billy back!” You shout.
“Good to know you're better from that cold, Billy.” She says from upstairs.
“A cold?”
“Yeah. It was that or tell Mrs. Martinez you were skipping class.” Shrugging your shoulders, you go to the dining room, settling down in your usual place. “So we're ok now? Friends again?”
“Friends again.” He agrees, searching for your hand under the table and grabbing it, thumb caressing the back of your hand. “As long as you want me around.”
Smiling, you nod. “As long as I want you around.” You snap back with a sassy tone. “Now, immunology.”
“Immunology it is.”
DEAL
Pairing- werewolf!shawn x witch!reader
Warnings-none (i got emotional while writing it )
_____________________________🤍______________________________
You were eight when you moved to a new town. It may look like an ordinary town but it wasn't. It was an ordinary town, only full of werewolves.
Like any other kid you were excited for your first day. You got up early that day brushed your teeth, used your favorite shampoo and especially no tantrums while eating your breakfast. Your father looked wide eyed at you shoving food down your throat. Well getting you to eat was his job and he was painfully aware as to how difficult that would be. But today was different.
You looked like a happy pumpkin bouncing on the streets. Your mother couldn't help smile when your father looked at her while scrunching his nose to point how adorable you looked. Your father warned you that the school here might be different from what you had earlier. You nodded your head as he walked you to the school.
Being different was not a problem but being the only one who was different might be a tricky situation. Your entire class was full of werewolves. Naturally you attracted some attention to yourself. You felt shy when their eyes dug into your soul. But there was this one guy, all smiles. He wouldn't stop smiling at you. After some time it became contagious. You couldn't help but smile too. So you decided to sit next to him.
During the break, he turned to you with a butterfly origami and put it on your table. "Hey my name is Shawn. You are going to be my best friend. Deal?" he said as he extended the butterfly to you. You chuckled as to how hard he was trying to hide his authorative nature. "Deal, my name is Y/N." you said as you took the butterfly and looked at it.
As the years went by, you grew up to be just like Shawn. When other girls were busy gossiping about others, you were interested in basketball. Most girls would wear tight fitting dresses, comfy jeans and sweatshirts were your best-friends, and only God knows how may of them would be Shawn's. That guy loved seeing you in his T-shirts.
"Would you be there?" you asked as you looked at the night sky while the both of you laid on the grass. "Have I never?" he nudged your nose, referring to your tournament that you had the next day. "No and that's why I love you." you said with ease not knowing what it meant. He looked towards your direction and smiled a bit. The only thing that hadn't changed was his smile. He had smooth golden skin with a well built body, with curls dangling on his forehead. His golden eyes that shun in the moonlight and a jaw line so sharp it could cut through paper. He could easily be the most attractive guy you had ever seen. You weren't the only one who found him attractive though.
Girls ogled at him when walked through the halls. But he never had eyes for any of them. He should be out there socializing with people as he was going to be a part of pack elections. "You are special" he would say every time you asked him why were you the only person in school he ever hanged out with.
On the day of the tournament, you were standing inside the court as you looked for Shawn. He was there with his girlfriend, Kate who was only busy showing him off on her instagram. "All the best! pumpkin" Shawn mouthed, "Ice cream later. Deal?" you mouthed him back. he laughed and said, "Deal."
The game began with a whistle and the ball with your team members. They passed it to you and bam! shot. The crowd roared when the ball went inside the hoop. Minute after minute hoops were being scored and your team could practically smell victory. All those months of practice came down to a penalty shot. There you stood, dribbling the ball and aimed for the hoop. Before shooting you looked at Shawn who smiled at you in reassurance. The crowd was on their heels when the ball went through the hoop. Your team members had engulfed you when the whistle blew. You looked for Shawn to tell him that the ice cream would be his treat but then you saw him.
His lips were locked with Kate's. They were kissing each other so passionately as if they were always meant to be. Then it struck you, Shawn had a mate. A person who has waited all their life for Shawn and just because you liked him, you couldn't hold on to him forever. He was not meant to be yours.
You didn't realize when you sunk in the crowd and took an exit. You plunged on your bed, just staring at your ceiling. You ignored Shawn's messages and calls as you switched off your phone.
"Honey bear? All good?" your mother asked you as she took a seat next to yours. "Yeah, mom just tired" you got up sitting on your bed. "Oh come on, tell me." she enquired as she caressed your head.
"Mom--" you trailed off as she stopped you mid-sentence. "Shawn kissed a girl?" your mother asked with astonishment. "How did you know?" you questioned back, wide eyed.
"I am a witch Y/N." she said uninterestingly. You talked to your mother about the entire incident and your feelings towards Shawn. Your mother smiled and told you that maybe you should take a break.
"Take a break?" you squealed. "Y/N you are 17, you have to train how to control your powers. What if you just put a curse on someone or what if you start hearing people's thoughts? That can be very disturbing trust me." your mother explained. You were shocked but this seemed to be a perfect idea to get away from these things, to think where you stood with Shawn, to get things back to normal.
Your family helped you pack your stuff and you still hadn't talked to Shawn. You were gonna go for a year, complete you high school online and Shawn should know this but you knew you wouldn't be able to leave after you meet him. So you decided to leave just like that. You clutched your hoody, Shawn's hoody as you passed through his house. All those ice cream treats, treks, knowing each other's breakfast order by heart, all those origami pieces Shawn made for you that you had kept safely in a box under your bed they had to mean something. They meant a lot to you and you had to know if they meant to him as well.
Shawn was worried. you hadn't talked to him for three days. He decided to talk to you in school but when he saw your mother emptying your belongings in a bag, he rushed to ask her what was going on.
Before he could even begin your mother said, "You should have told her Shawn." she turned to face him. "Mrs. L/N if this is about the kiss-" "you should have told her you both are mates." she stopped Shawn while he was speaking. "Where is she?" he asked with desperation in his voice. "She left for her training. You wouldn't be seeing each other for a year" you mother explained. It was very painful for her to watch the evergreen smile which adorned Shawn's face disappear.
Although he was confident you would come back to him. After all you were mates for a reason. He dated girls in school just to stop malicious rumors about him and he didn't like how girls threw themselves in front of him. So he dated girls just for a distraction. It was going to be a hell of a year. Little did he know it was going to be even worse of you.
You practiced during the day endlessly. Spent your days in the library. But it wasn't the day that was trouble. Ever since you had left Shawn's embrace your peaceful nights were replaced by visions. Visions full of memories that weren't even yours. Memories of Shawn, how would it be to have him in your life forever. They were dreams in some sort of way but it hurt too much, imagining something to be yours when you knew that something, someone wasn't supposed to be.
A year passed away dreadfully. Every day it was Shawn in your head and half way across the town you were in his. When you saw your mother after an year, you hid yourself in her embrace. She brushed her hand through your hair, which had grown longer. Funny how the time had passed getting the feminine side of yours. What freaked you out was looked exactly like the person in your visions.
The town looked exactly the same as if you had travelled back in time. You opened the car's window to breathe in the delicate fragrance of wet grass and you sensed him. His earthy smell, his warm embrace. You breathed in the familiar smell as you stepped down the car. One year of feelings, tears that you had held back in you gave up and wet your pink tinted cheeks. You started following the smell and you knew exactly where it headed, to the lawn where Shawn and you spent your evenings together. Could you ever forget it? No because you loved him with all your heart.
Then you saw him. It was like your vision had come alive. His hair grew longer which rustled as the wind blew. The moment he caught your scent he turned to you and the next moment you were running towards him. He held you as if you would disappear the next moment if he didn't.
"Y/N I am sor--" he said and you cut him off. "Shh, Don't say anything." you whispered through your tears. you loved the man who was always there for you. All this time when you thought it was just a crush it wasn't. You were ready to tell him you lo--
"I love you" he suddenly said making you flinch. "You were going to say that weren't you?" he smiled as he brushed his hands through your hair. "How did you?" you gawked at him. He nudged your nose as he said, "You are my mate Y/N. I have known this since the moment I saw you. I have been having visions of you since. I love you and I always have and always will and nothing, no one can change that. " he whispered as he reached the end of his sentence.
He kissed you as he cupped his cheeks. The moment his lips touched yours, you closed your eyes and saw a little girl playing in Shawn's arms. Shawn saw it too and the tears that shun like diamonds flew down his cheeks. Never breaking the kiss he caressed your cheeks. That's when you knew they weren't just memories they were visions of your future together that you would share. You looked at him filled your heart with his embrace.
"You still owe me that ice cream treat." you chuckled as you coiled your arms around his waist.
"Deal" he smiled as he kissed your forehead.
know you better
Tumblr media
(I don’t own this gif or characters in this story)
summary: you are pretty closed off to the rest of the team so nat decides to get to know you a bit better. later on nat confesses something to you after you get injured on a mission.
pairings: natasha romanoff x fem!reader
warnings: violence, injury, minor angst, fluff
word count: 1.6k ish
a/n: thank you for all the support on my last posts i appreciate it so much. i know these fics are nothing too crazy but i’m glad people are enjoying them! also happy mother’s day, show your moms or mother figures some love today!! love you all 💕💕
this story is formatted kinda oddly. the first part is nat getting to know you and the second half is r getting injured and a confession.
Ever since you joined the avengers you felt like you didn’t fit in. The team was super welcoming and happy to guide you through any troubles you had. The issue was you, or at least that’s what you thought.
From a young age you were pretty closed off, shy, and had interests and hobbies that didn’t align with your peers, this put you in the ‘weird’ box. However, if someone actually got to know you, you were kind, loyal, had a pretty good sense of humor, and even liked to have fun and do adventurous things.
When you met the team since it was compiled of the worlds strongest and most attractive beings in the galaxy, so you were sure it was going to be like high school all over again. If only you knew how wrong you’d be.
As you distance yourself from the others they just became more and more intrigued with your presence. All they wanted to do was find out more and more about your life, interests, and why you distanced yourself in the first place. However, one fiery redhead in particular was very set on finding more information about you.
You never noticed anything out of the ordinary because for so long you were alone and incredibly independent. With this being said you continued on with your day and your normal days consisted of rolling out of bed and heading down to the kitchen making a quick smoothie and heading down to the gym/training room to stay fit and healthy.
The gym was empty, per usual at this time of day, so you started your routine. As you were finishing up you saw Natasha Romanoff or as some people call her ‘Black Widow’, approach you.
“Hey y/n, I know you seem to be pretty independent when training, but I was wondering if you’d like to spar with me?” she spoke friendly. This only made your head spin with confusion. Why is she talking to me? Doesn’t she have more important activities to be doing? Ugh, it’s just another way to prove you are unworthy to be on the team to THE Black Widow.
The only experience you could compare this interaction to was when the popular kids at school were paired up with you in class clearly wanting nothing to do with you, so they end up treating you like a leashed dog they encounter when walking past a happy couple living in a suburban neighborhood.
“A-are you sure? Don’t you have more important things to do?” you pause, “Oh my- I’m so sorry, I’m not trying to say all you ever do is stuff that is important or being in your own gym isn’t valid enough a reason, matter of fact-“
“Breathe hon, I’m positive I’d like to spar with you or else I wouldn’t have asked.” she sends a soft smile your way.
“Oh okay. If you’d like to, then sure!” you curse at yourself for being so awkward.
You walk over to your locker which holds your hand wraps inside. You wrap your hands carefully while making your way to the ring that Natasha is currently waiting for you in.
Both you and her are positioned diagonal from each other.
“Ready?” she asks
“Uh I think so?” you reply
You already know that you want to start off defending so you can feel out her fighting style and patterns. Hand to hand combat happens to be a strength of yours, but not when you are in this head space with Natasha around.
Not even a second later Natasha lunges at you sending a jab to your stomach and head. You stumble back astonished and barely able to process anything before she comes at you again sending an uppercut to your chin but you back up and circle her before kicking her left leg out and quickly clinging onto her fallen form straddling her stomach speechless. She manages to slide out from underneath you smoothly and effortlessly places her knees on the sides of your hips and pins your hands above you. At this point your brain is short circuiting and your mouth is gaping with a bright pink blush on your cheeks. She soaks this moment in for a hot second and you hear her mumble,
“God you’re adorable” as she gets off of you. You quickly cover your face with your hands trying to shield your face from her sight but she just finds it even more amusing. She nudges your side with her foot and stretches a hand towards you on the ground. You hesitantly accept it still trying to recover from the events that just occurred. She strides away and you follow to wherever she is headed. All you wanted to do in this moment was take a cold shower and shout from the rooftops.
“Y/n, I gotta ask, why don’t you talk to any of us? Did we do something?” Guilt floods through your mind. How could you be so stupid to let the team you are apart of feel like they are the issue?
“No, no, not at all. It’s just I don’t know why you’d have any kind of interest in me when there are literal gods apart of this team. I’m sorry for making you guys feel like you are the reason I’m quiet, when that is just my issue.” you manage to say.
“No it isn’t an issue at all. We were just worried about you.”
“W-worried about me?” her face softens at your reaction to her showing she and the team care about your well-being.
“Of course y/n! Matter of fact we all want to get to know more about you.” her voice switches to a whisper, “Especially me. So how about we go and grab some lunch?” she suggests.
“I’d love to.”
Four months later...
You had opened up to the team more and started going out with Natasha. Currently you were infiltrating an ‘abandoned’ HYDRA base in order to collect intel from this group. You, Nat, Wanda, Tony, and Cap were assigned to this mission. When you arrived there, yourself, Nat, and Cap were the ground team while Tony circles the perimeter and Wanda stays back on watch on the Quinjet.
The three of you enter the premise of the base. It’s quiet like most ‘abandoned’ bases are supposed to be but there seems to be something a little off about this base. You use an entrance around the backside while Nat and Cap enter through the front. Nat is supposed to recover/collect the intel since she is known to be one of the most tech savvy people on the team besides Tony. You make it to what seems to be the center of the base where the large super computer is located, no one is in sight. This makes you feel uneasy because Nat and Cap were supposed to meet you here a couple minutes ago. Since you don’t want to waste anymore time waiting you try and speak over coms saying you will extract the data yourself.
You stick the chip that was given to you into the computer and open the command line interface and start the extraction. You hear a door open behind you. You know it’s probably one or two of the teammates you’ve been expecting but you are met with the presence of a grungy looking man in a HYDRA uniform ready to attack. As he is about to radio to his fellow group members alerting them, you whip out your gun and shortly kill him. You realize this base isn’t completely inactive and is possibly a trap. You quickly rush over to the computer to see the extraction is complete, grab the chip, and rush out the exit where you came from. When you are making a break for the exit, you hear a couple footsteps behind you which you know can’t possibly be any of your team members because of the number you hear. You sprint out the exit and make a break for the Quinjet, but not before gazing over to the entrance making sure Cap and Nat returned to the jet safely. When you see no sign of them you continue running hastily. Only to stop when you feel a burning, piercing pain from your back through your chest. You send shots back and limp over to the Quinjet where you see the team rushing over to you. You collapse. Your teammates had assumed that you’d return to the jet as soon as you realized coms were down. So they didn’t try to provide backup for you.
“Y/n/n! Keep your eyes open for me babe!” says a voice you recognize as Nat’s. “Come on! I can’t lose you y/n, I love you too much!” she yells only for your vision to fade out seconds later.
You wake up in a white room and bed you identify as the compound’s infirmary. You look to your left and see your beautiful girlfriend asleep in an uncomfortable position in the hospital chair. As you move a bit she jumps up out of the light sleep she was in.
“Oh my god y/n! Don’t you ever do anything like that to me again! I thought I lost you! I can’t even think about having to live without y-” you cut her ramble off.
“Breathe.” you say
“Did you mean it?” you rasp
“What? That I don’t want my girlfriend to almost bleed out on me ever again?” she asks confused
“No. Do you actually love me?” you ask hopefully
“Of course I do! That was definitely not my favorite way to admit it to you though.” she jokes but you know she’s still pretty shaken up.
“Good. Because I love you too Nat. When you are with me I feel like I finally have a purpose to fulfill. Something I’ve never felt before. I’m also sorry for doing that. I couldn’t even imagine if the roles were reversed between you and-“ she is the one who cuts you off this time with a long, passionate yet soft kiss.
This woman is going to be your cause of death.
MINORS DNI. FEMALE READERS… I’LL ALLOW YOU TO READ MY FICS BUT DO NOT FETISHIZE ANY OF MY STORIES
«⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕⁕»
*beep, beep, beep*
You heard your annoying alarm clock going off. “Ugh!” you turned off your alarm clock and got up. You see hints of the sun’s rays penetrating through the closed curtains. ‘New day, and more torture.’
You were bullied by Jasper Hale, the “Vampire King” of H/S/N. You didn’t understand why he was doing it, you weren’t weak like others. You do go to the gym and workout, but you weren’t strong as Jasper.
After just staring at the corner for 5 minutes, you finally got up and began your daily routine. You emptied your blabber, bushed your teeth until they were crystal white, and you put on your uniform.
After a few minutes some finalizations, you made your way downstairs, where you see your mother cooking her famous pancakes. “Good morning sweetie!” Your mother acknowledges your presence entering the kitchen.
‘Hey mom,” you said with a tired voice. “You okay sweetie? You don’t seem excited.” Your mother asked worriedly. “I’m just tired. I just wanna go back to sleep.” you said, ‘If only she knew.’ You thought to yourself. “Oh okay, anyways breakfast is ready! Dig in!” your mother placed down a plate full of pancakes, bacon, sausages, and eggs with toast and milk on the side. Your mouth was salivating. “Thanks, mom.”
After a few minutes of eating, you said goodbye to your mother and began walking to school. As you were walking, you began to take in the sights before entering prison- school.
You began to the building appear in the distance. When you entered, you were met with a kick to the leg. “Ahh.” you fell onto the concrete floor, you looked you see the same blond-haired guy that made your life a living hell, Jasper Hale. (is that blond hair?)
“Well, well, well look at what we got here.” you heard him say clearly mocking you. “Well, you need to get your daily beating.” You were now scared, nobody was coming to aid you. Everyone was afraid of what might happen to them. You felt pain spread throughout your body as they kicked.
The bell ring and the kicking stopped. “I’ll be back later to finish what we started.” Jasper whispered into your ear before leaving with his gang. You stayed there for minutes before attempting to get back up.
While you were getting up, you see a hand in front of you. You looked up and see an unfamiliar person. ‘Who is he?’ You questioned. You just stared at his hand before finally taking it.
“You okay? You looked pretty beat up.” this stranger said. “Yeah, I’m okay this happens daily,” you replied not caring about how he would respond. “If you say so,” he responded. “So are you new here or something? Cause I have never seen you around,” You asked curiously. “Oh, yes. Yes, I am new. And I was wondering if you knew where this class is?” he asked handing you his schedule. You looked over and he had the same classes as you. “We both have the same classes. I can show around if you want,” you offered him. “Okay, let’s get going!”
“By the way, what’s your name?” You asked wanting to get to know him, ‘He could be my first friend!’ you thought excitedly. “Elijah. Elijah Wilson. Nice to meet you. what’s your name?” he now asked you the same question. “Oh, umm M/n. M/N L/N…” you replied nervously since this was your first time having a normal conversation. “Nice to meet you M/N! Now I feel like we should get going.” He replied in a friendly tone. ‘Maybe he isn’t that bad.’ “Yeah, let’s get going,” you replied with a smile on your face.
“So you have trigonometry for the first period! Come on let me show you where it is.” You said walking in the direction of both you’re first-period class. “Ugh, trigonometry?! Why is math my first-period class!” Elijah said annoyed, while you laughed at him.
Time skip (4 minutes)
After walking for 4 minutes you and Elijah both made it to class. Once you open the door everybody stared at you. “You’re late!” your teacher said aggravated that you interrupted her class. In the corner of your eye, you can Jasper be chuckling and smirking along with everybody else. That was when Elijah made himself noticed after walking in. Now everybody’s attention was on him.
“Ahh, you must the new student right?” “Yes, I am. my name is Elijah Wilson,” Elijah replied timidly. “Alright, class Elijah will be joining our class and treat him with respect. Do you need someone to show you around?” Your teacher asked trying to get this over with. “No, M/N said he’ll show me around,” Elijah replied. “Okay, M/N you will show him around! Now… take your seats.” the teacher demanded.
You went to your seat while Elijah followed you and took his seat next to you since no one wanted to. Everybody was looking at you both, some with a look of pity, and the others just a look of fear of what was going to happen. Jasper was fuming at this and everybody could feel his anger, he just glared at Elijah the whole time.
Time skip (30 minutes later)
The bell rang signaling that class is over and its time to move to the next class. You packed your things and waited for Elijah at the door. While you were waiting you got for Elijah, you got punched in the back and kicked in the leg, then you felt someone pulling your hair. You looked and wouldn’t you know it, it was Jasper with a furious look on his face. He was about to continue until someone stepped in.
“Hey stop that!” Elijah yelled, gaining the attention of everyone in the hallway. “Or what? What are going to do, you weak human.” Jasper said with venom, he let go of your hair and began to walk towards Elijah. Elijah walked forward as well. Jasper was about to punch Elijah but he quickly dodges and landed a punch on Jasper. Then the fight happened, you were just standing there shocked.
They were both beaten up but Jasper seems to be more injured. ‘How is he doing this?! Jasper is a vampire! He’s human?!’ You thought to yourself as you were confused. Jasper was the first to put out. “Gasp.” everybody gasped. ‘Jasper never backed down!’ you too were shocked.
After it was over you got up and went to aid Elijah. “Come on we need to get to the nurse’s office.” You helped a very bruised Elijah up and made your way to the office. While you were walking, Jasper was just staring at your back. ‘You’ll be mine M/n…’
Time skip (5 minutes)
You knocked on the door. No one answered. You decided to just enter anyways. “Looks like the nurse isn’t here. Go get on the bed and I’ll get the bandages.” you got the bandages and the alcohol from one of the cabinets. You both sat there in silence until Elijah asked something personal…
“Why don’t you have many friends?” you stopped what you were doing and just looked at him. “I’m sorry if I offended you,” Elijah apologize. “No don’t worry, you didn’t offend me.” it went back to being quiet until you man up and told him what happen. “If you’re wondering why I don’t have many friends… (you paused for a moment) My friends went missing. I don’t know what happened to them,” you said while tears began to pour out of your eyes. You felt Elijah hug you whispering, “It’s alright.”
Jasper was looking in through the window of the door. Jealousy and anger raged through his veins.
Time skip (2 months later)
You and Elijah have grown close. Jasper for some reason stopped bullying you, now all he does is stare at you, but you paid no attention to it.
It was the end of the school day and you said your goodbyes to Elijah and began your walk home. While you were walking you felt like someone was watching you.
You heard footsteps behind and you decided to walk faster the figure behind also began to walk faster. Before you know it, you ran trying to get away from this unknown person. But in the end, this unknown figure caught you and pulled you into an alleyway.
This hooded figure pulled out a cloth with chloroform on it and put it onto your nose. You tried your best not to inhale it but failed. You passed out.
You woke up and see that you’re chained to the wall. You began to panic, you looked around trying to see you’re surrounding. In the corner of the room you… Elijah chained up to the wall as well. “Elijah!” you called out to him but he didn’t respond. You heard footsteps coming down into the basement. You looked at the entrance and you see…… Jasper.
“Jasper?! You did this!” You yelled with anger. “Watch that mouth of your sweetheart.” when he said you were flabbergasted. ‘Sweetheart?!?!’ “Sweetheart?! One, why are you calling me that, and two, what did you do to Elijah?!” when I said Elijah’s name, his face changed immediately. ‘Bipolar much.’
“Elijah, Elijah! It always about him! Why?!” He said with resentment. “Why?! Because you bullied me every day! Elijah was the only one who actually stood up for me and stood up to you!”  you yelled back at him. After you said that he just looked at you before making a move. “You wanna see what I did to Elijah?! Here have a look!” With that said Jasper throws the dead body of Elijah. You screamed at the sight, his eyes were ripped out and his fingers were ripped off as well. Also, his blood was drained.
Jasper just laughs at your expression. “Wanna know why his eyes and fingers are ripped off? Because he looked at you. His fingers? He touched you.” you were screaming at how calm he was. While you’re crying out your tears, Jasper began to step closer.
He grabbed the chains raising you up. He grabbed your wrist pulling you closer and tilt your head to the other side. Jasper began to lick your neck trying your sweet spot, he put his hand over your mouth so you wouldn’t make a sound. “Mmm.” you whimpering until…
“Ahhhh!” you felt fangs penetrating your skin. “Mmm.” Jasper was sucking your blood. He then stopped and began to whisper in your ear. “You taste delicious. Better than that scumbag’s blood. You taste so sweet,” Jasper whispered in your ear while also licking it and biting.
He went back to sucking your blood in the same location. You passed out from blood loss but before you did, you heard him say something. “You’ll make the best bride.”
Time skip (5 months. 5 months since you went missing.)
“You may now kiss the bride.” Jasper immediately grabbed you and kissed you. “We are now married. Now you’ll be mine forever. Nobody will come to save you. Dead is the only thing that will divide us…”
How did this happen? It started off as Jasper bullying you, now it ends with your Bully marrying you.
You’re his and he’ll never let you go.
Jeff Winger from community makes me feel seen as someone with npd. Since I'm bad at explaining let me state some quotes (these will not relate to everyone but I find these to relate to how my npd affects me) :
Season 1:
Tw for suicide for this quote;
"The next person that offers me charity or pity will be mentioned by name in my suicide note." -Jeff after his friends offer to give him a place to stay when they find out that he is living in his car.
"Jeff's character acts like nothing affects him but things bother him more than he lets on." -Abed describing who Jeff is as a person.
"For some reason I always thought that I was special and different. And I guess I just have a really hard time when I want to be good at something and I suck." -Jeff talking to his friend Pierce after Jeff got upset about the guy in his pottery class is better at pottery than he is.
"Jeff, you're a normal person. There's nothing very special about you at all. You're going to be great at a few things, but really crappy at many more. And that takes a lot of the pressure off so you can live a full, happy life. Oh, and sorry it took me so long to tell you that, and it was only in your imagination. My bad. Kind of a sloppy mom." -Jeff's imaginary mom making up for excessive praise he was given by his real mom when he was younger without letting him know that it's okay to not be good at everything.
"Look, I treated you like a child for having feelings. Maybe because that's, you know, when I stopped having them." -Jeff apologizing to Annie after treating her badly for wanting to keep the group together.
Season 2:
"You're right. He's a bad friend. But he's a good lawyer. Now I appreciate you guys caring, but you have to understand that I don't. Caring is lethal around here. It's a disease. You guys have it. I don't. So if you do care about me, don't infect me." -Jeff after his friends exposed his old lawyer friend for getting him fired. (Side note: right after this conversation he says "I think I caught something. At Greendale." to his old lawyer friend)
"Hell no that guy is useful to me. Thanks to you, I've now got leverage over a spineless jag that just made partner. That is the place I want to work. But I prefer to hang out with cool people. People so cool, they care." -Jeff's response to Shirley asking him if he punched his old lawyer friend in the face after he dipped out of the party his friend was at. (Side note: I find this to be what I consider good rep of exploiting a relationship because he and his friend needed something from each other and they got it, understood that purpose, and were both okay with it. It shows that not all exploitative relationships hurt someone. When all was said and done though, Jeff chose the ones he found more fun to hang around with.)
"It might not shock you guys to hear the real reason we had a fight today. . . Caring about a person can be scary. Caring about six people can be a horrifying embarrassing nightmare. At least for me. But if I can't say it today, when can I say it? I love you guys. Oh and Pierce? Take it from an expert. These knuckleheads are right outside your heart. Let them in. Before it's too late." -Jeff in a text to his friends after they fought.
"See, prison was my walls. But you put your walls up. You and your phone, and your attitude, and your Fruit Loops cologne. Your walls put up so tight, man, not even a blade of grass could get through. But even if it did, you wouldn't appreciate it. That's why you can't come back to my class." -The biology teacher explaining why Jeff cannot come back to his class after he got kicked out.
"Yeah, I lied, but you seem to have a harder time being the bad guy than me." -Pierce taking responsibility for something he did not do for the sake of Jeff.
Season 3:
"You know what Jeff has in his bathroom? Neither do I. He keeps his toiletries in a safe under the sink. His whole personality is based around guarding himself." -Britta talking about Jeff to Troy when he asked why Jeff picks on him all the time.
"You know what I think would make the perfect toast? You, as Shirley's friend and a good guy, just saying what's really in your heart. There's something real in there. Maybe that's what scares you." -Annie giving advice to Jeff for his speech at Shirley's wedding.
Season 4:
Tw for graphic details halfway through to the end of this quote;
"I'm sorry. You should take some credit for who I've become. So, let me tell you how I've turned out just so you're crystal clear on your impact. I am not well adjusted. More often than not I am barely keeping it together. I'm constantly texting, and there's no one at the other end. I'm just a grown man who can't even look his own friends in the eye for too long because I'm afraid that they'll see that I am broken. So you get credit for that. One time, when I was in seventh grade, I told everybody at school that I had appendicitis. I wanted someone to worry about me. But when Beth Brandon asked to see the scar I didn't want to get found out so I took scissors and I made one. It hurt like hell, but it was worth it because I got 17 cards and I still keep them in a box underneath my bed 22 years later because it proves that someone, at some point, cared about me." -Jeff Winger to his dad during Thanksgiving after he hadn't seen his dad for over 10 years.
FrUk Week 2021: Day2
@hetaliashipsweek
Prompt: Childhood/Old Age
Paring: FrUk
Word Count: 2012
The Luckiest Man Alive
They had been married for fifty years. It still was hard for Arthur to believe. It wasn’t that he wasn’t grateful, but at the back of his mind, there had always been that lingering thought that Francis would finally notice all his shortcomings and leave him. At least over the years, that voice had quieted immensely and Arthur learned to allow himself to be happy without worrying that it would be taken away from him.
If someone had told five-year-old Arthur that the annoying little French boy in his class would eventually become his lover, he would have kicked them in the shins. No way he could ever like someone as snobbish as Francis. The boy never failed to insult Arthur’s ‘fashion sense’ or steal his pencils. Then again it probably didn’t help that Arthur had the tendency to pull Francis’ hair and steal his books. By the first grade, things had escalated to the point the two physically and verbally fought on the daily. There were a lot of punches, bruises, and meetings with the principal during those elementary school years, but for some reason, they always kept coming back to each other.
Middle school rolled around and life got complicated. During the final years of elementary school, Arthur’s mother had been diagnosed with a serious illness. What that illness was was never revealed to Arthur even after her death, but that didn’t stop it from tearing the family apart. He had never gotten along with his brothers, but with their mother being in and out of the hospital and pressure being added onto all of them, especially Alister, they began taking out their stress on each other. They fought every day with some confrontations turning physical (on both ends). After a particularly bad fight, Arthur showed up to school with a black eye. At lunch Francis inquired about it, pushing him until he snapped and shoved Francis against the locker, hissing, “My mom’s sick and my brothers hate my guts so shut up or you’re going to be my punching bag.”
For once, Francis was shocked, and instead of shoving Arthur back, his gaze softened as he said, “I’m so sorry to hear that Arthur.” Before he could do anything else, Arthur pulled away and took off down the hall. It wouldn’t be the last argument that ended with secrets being revealed. At least both had enough respect not to bring them up again.
By the time high school rolled around, the few friends Arthur had made over his childhood years had moved away or went to the other high school in town. The only person he knew going in was Francis and once more the two of them gravitated towards each other, but this time it wasn’t for a fight. Arthur was tired. His mother had passed away a month before school had started and the feeling of home left with her. The Brit had become a shell of his former self, often isolating himself in the school library during his free time and throwing himself into his school work. He didn’t socialize unless he had to for class and began avoiding Francis like the plague. It began to worry Francis and around Christmas of their first year, Francis cornered Arthur in the library, ready to get to the bottom of whatever was eating at his enemy. Surprisingly it was easier than he thought as the Brit quickly broke down and through tears began explaining everything. The fact his mom died, that he was sick and tired of arguing with his brothers and has been couch hopping for a couple of weeks because he didn’t want to go home, and every other minor inconvenience that had been building up in his life.
Francis was stunned into silence, but before Arthur could run away like he always did when things got too personal, the French boy pulled him into a tight embrace. And Arthur let him, too tired for any struggle or to push his emotions deep down again. Francis had invited him to stay over that night and Arthur had accepted though he was hesitant. There were no arguments or fighting for once and instead they talked about other things, interests, classes, other normal teen stuff. It was nice and for the first time in the past three years, Arthur felt safe and comfortable.
After that fateful day, fights between them grew few and far between. They still bickered and argued, but it was now a more friendly matter. Francis introduced Arthur to his new friends Antonio and Gilbert and the four would remain friends well into adulthood and even old age. They were annoying just like Francis, but they also cared about him and were there for him when he needed it. But he could really do without the constant jab that Francis and he were like ‘an old married couple.’
College is when Arthur’s feelings of friendship started becoming feelings of romantic love. Francis had found a cheap apartment not far from their school and the two decided to rent it together to save money. They fell into quite a domestic routine. Francis cooked for him since Arthur could never make anything not burnt while Arthur did the dishes. Francis did laundry while Arthur folded and put the clothes away. Arthur would go out to the small garden on their balcony and Francis would join him a few minutes later with water or juice and a little snack for them. Francis had a lot of morning classes so Arthur would wake him up with a cup of coffee or tea. Arthur finally felt at home and he realized he wanted to live with Francis for the rest of his life. He tried to deny it at first, but each time Francis smiled Arthur felt his insides melt and whenever he called his name in the soft moments of the evening, he imagined being called to cuddle with him. He loved Francis, but he was too scared of possibly losing him if his feelings became known. After all, their relationship had already been turbulent, why shake it up even more?
Although they may have been getting along better than they ever had, they were still Francis and Arthur, prideful through and through and unable to go too long without some form of argument. Things were starting to build up on Arthur again with school and his growing feelings and he was starting to become more snappy than normal. They had had a few of their friendly arguments before, but eventually, everything became too much and Arthur went off at Francis when the Frenchman pushed a little too hard. “I thought we told each other everything,” Francis screamed.
“Shut up!”
“No. Not until you get it through your thick skull that pushing things down until they boil over is not healthy. I don’t even know why I bother? You’ve never listen-”
Next thing either of them knew, Arthur had Francis pinned against the wall, silencing him with a heated, angry kiss. As soon as Arthur noticed what he was doing, he pulled away, but not enough to let Francis go. The Frenchman looked at him, cheeks red, hair a mess, and eyes wide. Without a word they leaned in once more, connecting their lips in a slow, sensual kiss.
The following morning, Arthur awoke, wrapped up in Francis’ arms in Francis’ bed, clothes strewn around the room. For a moment, he allowed himself to admire the sleeping man next to him. Even with bedhead, Francis’ hair still looked beautiful and soft. His lips were slightly parted, his eyes closed, bare shoulder slightly exposed. He looked so peaceful and content which made Arthur’s heart flutter.
“Like what you see?” Francis asked, his eyes opening halfway and a soft smile spreading across his face.
“Sh-Shut up.”
“Make me.”
And Arthur did, leaning forward and pressing a quick kiss on Francis’ lips. When he retreated back, embarrassment and doubt began setting. What did this mean now? Were they lovers? What if things didn’t end up well? He couldn’t bear to lose this man after everything they had been through. Maybe it was best to just forget what had happened and go back to being friends.
“I-I don’t know if I can do this,” Arthur stuttered out. He pulled the covers up defensively, trying to avoid that kind loving gaze.
Francis was quiet for a moment and when Arthur stole a glance at him, he almost looked disappointed. “You know?” Francis began, his smile quickly returning, “We don’t have to call it anything you don’t want to. You liked what happened last night right?”
“I-I suppose…”
“I did too. Would you want to do more than just that? Like cuddle, kiss, and all that?”
Arthur was silent as he thought it over, his cheeks turning a deep shade of red. “If it makes it easier,” Francis continued, “I wouldn’t mind doing that kind of stuff, but if you don’t want to...I won’t push.”
Francis really was perfect. Attentive, loving, respectful when it mattered. What did he see in Arthur who just seemed to be a ball of anger and pent-up feelings? But the knowledge they wouldn’t be making this an official thing (at least not yet), put Arthur at ease and he decided to accept it.
A couple months later, Arthur had worked up the courage to accept Francis’ offer of a date, and of course, being the thoughtful lover the man was, Francis provided him with the ideal date. They had gone to the park for a picnic lunch before heading to the theatre for a show. At night they cuddled up in Francis’ bed and fell asleep. It had been a pretty good day, but Arthur’s competitiveness had been sparked. Next date, he was planning it and he was going to impress Francis.
He got a reservation at the new French restaurant in town. Francis seemed to have enjoyed the food, but he said he could have always made such a meal at home. Arthur only rolled his eyes telling him that he was doing something nice for him so be grateful. Francis had giggled, making Arthur realize just how deep he was. It was exhilarating and a little nerve-wracking. After dinner, they headed out back to a garden area where a wishing well stood. “Do you have a coin?” Francis asked, peering into the well.
“You’re lucky, here.”
Francis pulled the coin to his chest closing his eyes before tossing it into the well with a plop.
“What did you wish for?” Arthur asked, peering down into the well.
Francis brought a finger to his lips with a wink. “I can’t tell you or it won’t come true.”
Arthur’s nostalgia trip was interrupted by a pair of arms snaking around his waist and a firm kiss being pressed into his neck.
“What are you doing mon amour?” Francis asked in a low voice.
“Just...reminiscing.” Arthur lifted his hand, admiring the silver band on his finger. “Who would have thought we’d be here, like this, all those years ago.”
Francis chuckled. “Mhm. At least my wish came true.”
Arthur twisted his head to get a better look at the man behind him“Are you talking about that one you made on our second date?”
“Oui.”
“And what was it?”
“I would marry and spend the rest of my life with you.”
“You big sap.”
“Peut-être, but you love me for it.”
“What gave you that idea?”
“Oh, you wound me,” Francis exclaimed, clutching his chest.
The two lovers erupted into a fit of laughter before going in for a kiss. It was sweet and quick, matching the playful moment. I couldn’t last forever as Arthur noticed the time. “We better go pick up the boys from the airport,” he suggested,  “they’ll be landing soon.”
Francis planted one more kiss on his forehead, before taking Arthur’s hand and pulling him out the door. Truly, Arthur was the luckiest man in the world and he had over fifty years' worth of evidence to prove it.
Too Late: Alya & Nino (commission for miner249er)
Fourth chapter of @miner249er ‘s commission
Chapter Summary: The truth is harsh. Teens are harsher.
Previous Work
Last Chapter                          Next Chapter
Truth.
As an aspiring journalist it was something Alya strived for. It was the most important thing she could give the people who followed her so diligently. She thought she had been giving them that. She had been so good about giving them the truth, her truth, and Ladybug’s truth in the past, she foolheartedly believed she was continuing to do so despite taking shortcuts later on in the road. Why didn’t she fact check herself? Why did she throw that very thing in Marinette’s face? What kind of reporter was she? What kind of friend was she? The answers were all around her and yet she still wasn’t ready to face them head on. There was still that voice in her head that was telling her that this was all Lila Rossi’s fault.
But is it? Alya thought as her and Nino ate together at her house, the TV on in the background. At first it had been on the news but Alya was done with the news for a long while, all it had been was coverage of The Protector and Nino had immediately taken the remote and changed it to cartoons. This was hitting him hard, harder than Alya had expected if she was being honest. When they found out Ladybug and Chat Noir had, in fact, not defeated The Protector and instead the akuma, that Marinette had gone missing, it hit the class hard. Hard because they learned the truth about Lila in that time and that had been rough to work through. Then they had to come to the realization that they believed Lila over Marinette, the sweet, kind, selfless girl that had all at one point been friends with.
Then the lies got to them. It poisoned them. That’s what Alya had written on her blog anyways. They were victims of a silver-tongue and they had paid the price, one they had not been prepared to pay for. Their friend was missing, had been missing and they couldn’t do anything. Alya had been searching through as many local papers and news around the world for any clues if Marinette had possibly gone to those places. Everything was coming up empty. She had even made a separate website along with Max all about Marinette and what had happened, she left ways to reach her and her classmates in case anyone had any info. Nino said they should have added Tom and Sabine’s information as well but Alya was too scared to ask them if they would be okay with it, last time they had all been at the bakery the tension had been palpable.
They weren’t banned like Nathaniel had worried they would be but every time they went in with their families, because that was the only time they went in there, it was always awkward. Tom and Sabine were much too nice to ban them even if they felt like they deserved it. How did everything go so wrong? Even school wasn’t as fun as it had been. Walking into their classroom was like taking a walk of shame, people from other classes, even teachers just stared at them. Some even glared. Then there were the whispers, Dieu the whispers, they followed them everywhere not just school, but they were the most prominent there. Her, Nino, and their classmates would find notes in their lockers, none were really threatening but they tore at her heart all the same. Things like, ‘You’re the reason she’s gone,’ or, ‘Are you guys proud of yourselves now?’ ‘Were the lies worth it?’ ‘You traded in a gem for fool’s gold.’ ‘What a reporter you turned out to be.’
All the notes hurt. That was the truth. That last one? She had found it in her locker this morning and it burned. Alya had been bullied before, she never liked to think about it, who would? But she was and she had to acknowledge it because she had told herself she would never allow herself to be bullied again, and most importantly, she would never turn into a bully. Wrong. She was wrong, and it wasn’t the first time she had been made aware of this since everything happened. Since everything changed. It was a blessing that Nino and her were still together, he never partook in the “tough love” the class had been giving Marinette before she...before she had been akumatized. Sure he didn’t stop them, and that was bad, but he didn’t go out of his way to not invite her to things until she stopped being “jealous” and started acting like the bigger person. Nino wasn’t the one who ignored her text messages, which now that Alya read them, were pretty telling that her friend had been hurting and she had only made that worse.
“What are you thinking about babe?”
Alya looked up from her half eaten bowl of soup to see Nino gazing at her in concern. “Marinette.”
“Oh…” He breathed out as he put his spoon down and looked down at the table before placing one of his hands on hers and giving her a small smile. “Everything will be okay Alya. Someone will find her and then she’ll be back home.”
Empty words. Empty words fed to him too much from adults who didn’t have any updates on anything. “You don’t believe that. And even if she did...who's to say she would even want to talk to us!? What’s to say that anything would be better? We would still be seen as the bad guys! We will still all have to eat lunch at our houses or the park just to avoid the stares and the whispers and the tossed trash our way and the “accidentally” spilled drinks!”
Alya had never understood just how much their class had been living in its own little world. Not to say they were completely unattached to the rest of the school, Alix, Nathaniel, Rose, Chloe, and Sabrina were in the art club (the art teacher and the rest of the club had made a mural of Marinette without notifying them or asking for their help. Everyone is encouraged to leave notes about Marinette on the mural. The art room even has a chair decorated in honor of Marinette that no one else can use. That was announced very pointedly Alix later shared.), Rose was in the scrapbooking club (no one asked to use her materials anymore like they used to), and Max was in the gaming club which Marinette had helped him set up (people weren’t showing up lately.) They weren’t kicked out, but they were reminded of Marinette all the time,it was like everyone’s way of punishing them. It had never occurred to any of them how popular Marinette was.
So popular that the whole school seemed to hate them. Even Mlle Mendeleiev seemed to be harsher than normal and that was really saying something, it would seem like she had a soft spot for Marinette. In their class everyone avoided Marinette’s seats in class, Alya had to step up as class representative but the silver lining was that Nino had stepped up to be her deputy. Though another negative was the fact Nino had stopped making his music and taking DJ gigs. At first he hadn’t said anything to her or their friends, Alya found out because of Chris actually, but then her and Adrien confronted him and he broke down. He cried and he didn’t stop for a long time, but when he had calmed enough to talk he pulled out old pictures of him and Marinette, told them stories about how they had grown up together. It had made the pit in Alya’s stomach grow, she had just been thinking about her and how much she blamed herself and how much she missed her best friend, she hadn’t even thought how this was affecting Nino.
“I...I need to believe it Alya. I need to. Because if I don’t I will break apart. Mari...Marinette and I were best friends in l'école primaire. I never thought she would ever not be a part of my life. Then the whole Lila thing happened and I turned into a coward again, like I had with Chloe! No, worse than a coward! I don’t even know what I would call myself but I know I can’t call myself her friend.” His voice rose the more he spoke and near the end it cracked.
“Nino…”
“No. I know that’s the truth! And I know, I know that things at school have been rough. Hell, they’ve been awful, everyone sees us as these villains in some trashy young teen novel when all we’ve done is make a mistake! Yes. It was a big mistake but it was a mistake nonetheless but we’re...we’re kids dammit. We’re just kids.” Alya felt tears race down her cheeks as she saw her boyfriend break yet again, his cheeks wet with his tears, his voice choked with his guilt.
“I know. I just...I just want her back. I want everything back. I don’t know how many times we have to apologize to the school, but they’re not even the ones that need to hear the apologies! The one we need to have hear us isn’t here and…” Alya could feel herself breaking but she tried to hold on. Nino needed her to be strong. Her class needed her to be strong. Her family needed her to be strong.
“I can’t take the stares! Or, or hear Rose’s cries that she tries to hide from us. Mylene hasn’t been eating and I know she thinks we don’t notice and Adrien, god Adrien. I’m trying to hold it together because my bro is falling apart at the seams! First Marinette gets...gets fucking akumatized, then his dad and Nathalie get taken to the hospital from some supposedly random attack but it’s pretty obvious it was Mar-the akuma’s doing, his mom freaking pops out of nowhere but of course that can’t just be a good thing because everyone has to talk about how his dad and Nathalie were probably Hawkmoth and Mayura! And I’m over here trying not to think too much about all that because it makes actually too much sense, but then we find out that Marinette was most likely Ladybug! LADYBUG!” He lamented, not bothering to hide the fact he was crying, more like sobbing. It just made Alya cry more.
“I...I wanted the truth for so long, but not like this. Not like this. I...I know this makes me sound like the worst person on the planet but I kind of wish stupid Gabriel Agreste wasn’t Hawkmoth because then I could be akumatized and maybe I could be some kind of time-travelling akuma and we could go back and fix everything and school wouldn’t be hell and the twins wouldn’t act like they had to walk on eggshells around me all the time and my dad wouldn’t look like he’s always so disappointed in me and my mom wouldn’t look at my with only pity in her eyes and Nora would talk to me and Marinette would be back!” Alya sobbed out. At this point her and Nino had moved from their seats to the kitchen floor and were huddled together hugging each other for comfort.
The two just sat there soaking up whatever comfort they could and dreaded the time that passed. For each minute that passed, was a minute that brought them closer to having to go back to school. Alya didn’t know if she had the strength to go back and deal with everything, she didn’t know if Nino could handle it either, but she knew her mother would be by any minute to give them a lift back to school. If there was a way she could just finish school online, Alya was willing to do it, but her father wouldn’t ever allow it. He had put his foot down, Otis Césaire was mad, then he was disappointed and he thought it only fair that Alya face her peers and continue on at Françoise Dupont. It didn’t feel fair, it didn’t feel fair at all, it felt like punishment. Hadn’t she been punished enough? Even in sleep she wasn’t safe, all she dreamed of was Lila and her making her act like a puppet. She would see puppet her do all these things to Marinette and she would wake up in sweat and tears.
“Okay I’m here, I hope you two are ready to head ba-” Alya looked up to see her mom standing there staring at her and Nino, her mouth agape. “Oh Alya...Nino...How about I call the school and tell them you’re not feeling good? And I’ll call your parents Nino.”
Alya was going to respond, she really was, but when she opened her mouth nothing came out but a choked off cry and nod. Nino nodded as well as he took in a shaky breath. “Th-Thanks, Mme C.”
“Nino, you know I told you to call me Marlena. Now you two go rest in Alya’s room while I make those calls. Then maybe I can get the rest of the day off and-”
“No manman. Things...things are already bad enough, don’t make it worse by not going back to work. I don’t...I don’t want to be the reason why you get fired.” Alya mumbled as she and Nino got up off the floor.
“Oh...Oh my little one, that won’t happen. And if it did, not because of you. Never. Don’t you think that.” Alya’s mother breathed out as she pulled her daughter into a hug before taking her daughter’s face in her hands and doing her best to wipe her tears.
“Papa and Nora would! Nora still won’t talk to me and Papa only looks at me like he’s disappointed he ever had me!” Alya cried out before she could stop the words from coming out. Her mind completely forgot that Nino was standing right beside her until she felt him hold her hand and give it a squeeze.
“Your Papa is just being stubborn, but you listen to me, he could never ever be disappointed in having you. You are our daughter. You made a mistake yes, but I know you know you made a mistake and that you are sorry. Your Papa will realize that. He just needs time. And Nora...she just needs time too. I just think she doesn’t know how to handle everything and that she’s mad that she couldn’t protect you sweetie. She’s always been the protective older sister, and this was something she couldn’t protect you from herself. They’ll come around. I’m sure.”
“If you’re sure manman…”
“I am. Now you kids go relax. I’m going to take the rest of the day off and go to the store for dinner ingredients, I’ll be back soon. I know things are hard my little Melusine but they won’t always be like this.” With a kiss to her forehead and a swift hug to Nino, Alya’s mom left the two teens in the family apartment.
At first they just stood there in silence and sniffles, but Nino made the move to put their plates in the sink and rinse them out while Alya gathered their schoolwork back into their bookbags. Then they  made their way to Alya’s room and kicked off their shoes before sitting on the bed. Nino nudged Alya who looked at him in confusion until she saw him give her a crooked smile and open his arms which she fell easily into. She took off her glasses and placed them on her bedside table while she felt more than saw Nino take off his cap. For a while they just sat there in the quiet of the moment and Alya was content to do just that, to just have a moment of peace, but she slowly pushed away and reached for her remote to turn on the TV and quickly pulled up Netflix. Her mom wanted them to relax so why not fry their brains with some television.
“Anything in particular you want to watch?” She asked as she settled back against Nino.
“As long as it has nothing to do with school or superheroes...I’m good.” Nino responded with a hollow chuckle.
“I’m glad we don’t have to go back too…” She murmured, “Should we...tell the others?”
“Probably. But if I’m being honest I don’t really feel like talking to them and them asking how we are and if we’re okay when they know we’re not. I just. I don’t think I could handle that. Not today.”
“I get it. Sometimes I feel like everyone else even blames me for what happened. Like... Like it was my responsibility to not fall for the lies and to warn them. Like my word would have made a difference! Mari...Marinette’s didn’t so why would mine?” Alya huffed as she scrolled through all the movie and show choices and tried her best not to cry again.
“If they blame you then they need to blame me too and blame the people in the mirror. We all fell for the lies. Sure you’re the budding reporter, but the blame could just as easily be pushed onto Max who is so smart he created a living AI. But we have no one to be mad at but ourselves and we can only do that for so long.” Nino sighed as he held her closer and kissed her temple. Alya relished in the warmth of it all.
“When did you get so wise?” Alya teased softly.
“When I decided to rewatch Star Wars. But no seriously. If anyone in class bothers you please tell me because we should be sticking together not at each other’s throats.” Nino stuck out one hand and Alya slid her hand into his.
“Cross my heart and hope to die. I will. And you’re right, we do need each other, especially now, especially at that school.”
“Especially at that school, yeah.” He laughed out. “We’re going to get through this. I don’t know how, but, we are and we’re going to do it together.”
Alya smiled wryly before she looked up at Nino and it slipped into a real small smile. “Together.” She agreed softly.
