ok im watching the first episode of unsleeping city chapter 2 and i had to pause bc im so excited that brennan described esther as sleeping with a silk head wrap like i use a silk bonnet and every time i see a piece of media with a character with curly hair im just thinking "theyre not sleeping with something to protect their hair oh my god oh no" so like the very tiny representation of that is making me extremely excited

#and her wrap has a pattern :D #crunchyposts #im rereading tlt right now and like. annabeth fully sleeping on dirt with curly hair made me anxious lol #the only place ive seen like the acknowledgement of curly hair maintenance was in the legendborn series and i read the first book i wasnt #taking care of my wavy/curly hair yet so i didnt get it but i read the second book after i started like. using a bonnet and specific condi-#tioners etc and i Understood like the main character was concerned with like what shed use to wash her hair and her pillow case being cott-#on and not silk which is like EXACTLY whats going through my head when i see characters who dont think about it #anyways. curly hair maintenance is not the same as straight hair maintenance it took me so long to write this post i was excited lol #i read so many pjo fics that dont really think about how annabeth maintains her hair and it kind of bothers me lol so this was nice #tuc #d20
