I get it, I get it, every doctor wants to have an opinion on why my sleep is bad and blame it on things like reading books in bed.

Look, often times the only comfortable place I can be in the house is in my bed because every single joint in my body hurts. Sometimes that's just reality and I have to exist in there for reasons other than sleep. I get it. I get why they're saying it. It is just not a useful fact for my reality.

Additionally my sleep issues are almost definitely related to the fact that all my joints hurt and sleeping is like being a sad pile of bones that occasionally wakes up to reconfigure itself into a less painful position, but who am I to comment on things like this, I guess. Just having my own personal Harrow the Ninth RP every night.

Currently Reading: I finished Harrow the Ninth, How to Sell a Haunted House, Nettle & Bone, and Meat this weekend (fiction) as well as A History of Horror. (I read a lot. Also I highly recommend the first three books I read this weekend because Tamsyn Muir's "Locked Tomb" series is one of the rare series where the second book is better than and builds on the first well. Also Grady Hendrix & T. Kingfisher are automatic "buy what they write" authors for me.)

Currently Watching: Mainly "The Simpsons" -- I pick random episodes and watch before bed or while eating dinner. I will be devouring Good Omens, S2 this coming Friday though.

Currently Obsessed With: FFXIV, GPose, books, designing a ton of various characters and potential storylines and plot hooks because I hoard RP possibilities like a dragon.

I was the reason why my teachers stopped using this because in the 8th grade, my teacher asked this, and I decided to answer with "I have a dead organ inside of me." Which is true, I'm a t1 diabetic so my pancreas is essentially dead, but hearing that from a 14 year old in a class of 20 was not on her bingo card, I'm afraid. I did this again in my freshman year of college & ended up giving a 15 minute Q&A about diabetes.

favourite genre(s):  fantasy, romance, angsty things... Love when the romance is more a subplot though... but definitely fantasy. Not too big on sci-fi, because of the science part of it, and I do lean more towards a love of romantasy ;)

favourite movie(s): Um... I don't really know? Disney movies. Star Wars. Titanic is one I can watch all the time, no problem. Harry Potter movies are another that I can just... put on and enjoy for any reason. Oh and Hunger Games.

favourite series: TV series? Book series? What are we talking about? If it's TV... I was a huge SPN fan for a long time. Also The Originals. TVD and Legacies was... okay, but not comparable to Originals. I'm really enjoying catching up on Grey's Anatomy, and watching Yellowstone. Wednesday was also a fun one, and House of the Dragon gave me what I loved about GOT--Targaryens and dragons. hah. And of course, Shadow and Bone.

If it's about a book series you want to know... ACOTAR, Grishaverse, FBAA world are probably my top ones right now. I'm enjoying others, a few standalone things, but I do love the Mortal Instruments and all of those books. I'm just... very behind on them oops.

favourite music: Taylor Swift probably gets the most use, but I generally like country (think 90s-2000s country, like when I was growing up) mostly for the story telling of it. Rock is good, too, but I'm a little more picky there. Classic rock you can't go wrong with hah (and I blame SPN for a good chunk of that, not to mention my dad).

last song: Whatever was playing at the end of s2e5 of Yellowstone in the credits, if I'm being specific. I had my Alexa shuffling "top country" earlier this morning. That was the last of it, but I couldn't tell you what the song itself was.

last series: TV series? Yellowstone. Book series? (that I read or finished?) Read (because I still have more to go) would be the Never After series from Emily McIntire. Finished would probably be up-to-date on FBAA (just not the latest prequel one, ALITF).

most of these are inspired by shit but some group rps that i think would eat:

a small town rp based off of noah kahan's stick season album, just the vibes of a small new england town (also could be inspired by stars hollow). perfect season for it, you already have an inspo soundtrack, just immaculate small town vibes where everyone "hates" it there but they do truly treasure this place and where they come from and you can do the classic small town events and have cute town npcs like a busybody older lady or the eclectic town mayor or smth, i think it'd be so fun and cute but also very close to home for me, a bitterly cold new englander

star trek vibes, could even take place IN the star trek universe idk, just like members of a giant spaceship that's exploring the galaxies or multiple spaceships as a part of a fleet on different missions. like the big ship could have 100 members on board that work there OR it could be smaller 5 - 10 member ships that operate under the big fleet umbrella idk i think it could be very cute very fun for the smaller ships they could pick missions to do from the main whereas the big ship could do one mission and then have time off on this super futuristic city ya know???

a group inspired by the magnolia parks series where its a combo rich kid/crime rp where the children of the elite (whether they obtained that money legally or not) run in all the same circles and some are more dangerous than others, being primed to take over family businesses and the whatnot. i think them also being actively on social media could be very fun AND there could be like group trips but several groups going to several different places??? and the basis/background could be that they all went to the same private/boarding school??? (bonus points if this is all set in london for the european connections)

RP Personal Rules

Greetings!

I'm hopping back into tumblr and the rp scene after several years of being away, and thought it wise to post my set of rules/writing guidelines that I follow and would appreciate understanding of. If anyone has questions or needs clarification, do let me know. (I know I am very late coming into this fandom, yikes!)

I am, of course, a Griddlehark shipper, but am open to exploring others within the TLT canon. You'll find mine and Harrow's info below the cut (this is a work in progress post, it may change frequently until I get it just right).

1.) No minors. I mean it, if I find out you are under the age of 18 (I'd prefer my writing partners be in their 20's at the very least if possible), you will find you will be immediately blocked. Don't try it, don't interact with my profile, just move on.

2.) No spoilers. At the time of writing, I have only fully gotten through the first book in The Locked Tomb series, Gideon the Ninth, and am working on the following books. I am taking great care to avoid spoilers for the other books in my internet usage, but I'd appreciate any writing we do stick within the realm of the first novel or be some sort of AU. I appreciate your understanding on this one until I get caught up, I've heard I'm in for a wild ride.

3.) My preferred writing style is in 3rd person, a couple of paragraphs at a time if possible (really, just give me something to work off of and I'm happy), with consideration for evocative writing (imagery, similes, etc.). Writing brings me much joy, and I can tell you now that I won't be invested if I am struggling to get through a couple of sentences that is full of grammar and spelling mistakes (a few is fine, we are all human, of course).

4.) I prefer to write in DM's whenever possible, unless it is some silly, goofy thing on a post. I am also open to having a discussion regarding smut and graphic imagery, but would want to have a conversation regarding limits so we both are safe and comfortable. ♡

5.) Mutual respect of time. I work a full time job during the week, so my availability online is choppy during the day. Considering that we are all adults here who all likely have jobs, I understand that it might not be likely that we will have a string of hours of non-stop writing - it is what it is. Evenings and weekends are the best time to reach me, I'm in the PST timezone. If I will be offline for more than a day or two, I will do my best to let you know ahead of time and ask you do the same for me.

6.) Just have fun. That's what rp is for - don't be rude or any-kind-of-phobic and we are good to go!
