What's up with the two gays you keep reblogging? Why do they look like they want to (literally) eat each other? Why is one a chef? Where can i see more of them? (begging here ok. Thank you very much)

I'm glad you asked. They both come from a game called Dead Plate, and I don't know how much you want me to say before I spoil everything, but y'know. I should probably make an analysis post at some point on this game, but I doubt anyone who currently follows me will understand it.

Anyways, for starters, the character who's a chef is Vincent Charbonneau. His waiter is Rody Lamoree, but we'll get to him later. Vincent can't taste anything at all, and that's a major aspect of him that drives his actions later on. It'd make more sense if you played the game or watched a playthrough, but this is mostly because using an answer to an ask for a complete infodump isn't really my thing. I'd rather save that for its own post. Still, Vincent definitely has something going on, and he does end up eating Rody's ear (or eats him entirely) later on, depending on what ending you get. There are 4: Table for One, Best Served Hot, Best Served Cold, and Abattoir. You can get killed in two of those endings out of four.

Speaking of Rody, you play as him in the game. He's dealing with the aftermath of a breakup with his girlfriend, and decided to work at a fancy bistro in order to get more money to hopefully impress her and get her back. That's not really what she wants though. I can't say much else unless I want to spoil everything.

Cannibalism in the more worse off endings is definitely some sort of allegory though, I'm pretty sure. Vincent is like an aspec icon to me in some way. No idea why he went for Rody's ear though; wouldn't his neck have been better? There's also the fact that a steak you can get in game isn't beef. You'll have to see it for yourself. I haven't escaped the hyperfixation on this game for awhile now.

I would definitely recommend checking out some of the other games that they have besides Dead Plate, but it's always good to have a starting point first :3
