Karaoke at Xander's birthday

Sooo, this one been sitting in my drafts and I've been thinking if it's good enough for me to post. My immediate answer was “no”, but I kind of liked this one. A quick remainder: the year was 2009 and I just put songs that were trending at the time or were made before 2009. Hope you enjoy it!

Disclaimer: mentions of Nash Hawthorne, Jameson Hawthorne, Alexander Hawthorne, Grayson Hawthorne and minor cursing. The characters are not mine! They belong to Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

It was December at Hawthorne House, which meant two things: Christmas and Xander birthday party. It was always the most busy month in the house—with employees walking around the mansion, carrying balloons, boards full of the most expensive foods, Christmas lights, and the decorations for the trees. Overall, it was the mess that came along with Alexander's birthday mixed with the mess that came with Christmas. Xander liked this time of the year, not just because it was his birthday and his favorite holiday in one month together. And definitely not because he used to make jokes that the employees looked like robots, focused on nothing else but doing what they were programmed to do. December was usually when Skye arrived, just to spend the holiday and go back by new year. She wasn't really present in her son's life, at least not in the way other mothers were, but she was there in December. She typically arrived on the 17th. In other words, in the day of Xander's birthday. That's why 5-year-old Xander was sitting in front of the library window. Three hours ago he got expelled from the kitchen because he would just sit there without any movement, waiting for Skye, and Nash found it depressing to see his youngest brother this way. Nash knew that it was very likely that she wouldn't show up, so he just expelled him from the kitchen, expecting that he would forget it. But Xander was a Hawthorne, wherefore he just found another window that led directly to the front door, where Skye was about to show up. At any second. But why was she taking so long? The house was already decorated for his anniversary, still, he chose to wait for his mother to start celebrating. Consequently, he waited. Waited. And waited. Waited a little more. And when he got tired of waiting, he just forced himself to wait even more. But there was no possibility she was about to show up. He looked up, glancing at the clock. 10:00 pm. He was looking at the window since 9:00 am, but he didn't catch a glimpse of Skye. “She's not going to show up” Xander thought, and hated himself for thinking it. Of course she was, she was his mother. That's what she's supposed to do. “She's not coming”, this time tears fell from his eyes to his cheeks, dropping and wetting the carpet. There was only one in the beginning, but quickly there were more than he could count. More than he could contain. So he just let them fall, without fighting. Skye had failed him—she should've been there. She should be wishing happy birthday to him, with a bright smile on her face. She should've had seen him blowing out the candles of his cake. Not only that, but she should kiss him in the forehead and ask, “What did you wish for, Xan?”. That's what she had always done, and he could practically hear himself answering his mother, “I cannot tell you! It will ruin my wish.” But his wishes were already ruined, because all he always wished was to Skye come back in his next birthday. He must have done something wrong in the last year—that would explain her absence. There is no way she missed her son's birthday on purpose. Crying, he held his head in his hands and just drowned in his misery, wondering what he did wrong to have such an absence mother when all his friends' mothers were all present—not only on their birthdays or in other special occasion. Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him and fastly wiped his tears away, turning around to see who was coming. Jameson. “Hey, why are you crying? What happened?” At the age of seven years old, Jamie was already the biggest problem on the house, always mocking his brothers for anything. Sometimes, he made up scenarios just to mock them, like when he stole Grayson's clothes when he was taking a shower and mocked him for having a Disney princess towel. Yet, he knew when it was time to stop. Xander replied, “I'm not crying. My eyes are just sweating.” Jameson raised an eyebrow. “Eyes don't sweat.” 

“At least not yours” Xander said, except that his voice was shaky, his eyes tired, and some tears were dry in his face. Not to mention the headache that he had now. His brother sat down beside him, putting an arm around his youngest brother's neck. “So, why are your eyes sweating?” His tone was calm and gentle, also he didn't complain during the time that Xander took to reply. “She didn't come” he said weakly, his voice lower than a whisper. Jamie didn't have to ask who. She didn't show up for his birthday neither, but he pretended it didn't matter like he always did. “I know it hurts, but she won't be here for all your birthdays. She wasn't here for mine, but it's okay. You can still enjoy it. She'll be here soon.”

Sniffling, Xander acknowledged the elephant in the room, “Why she's rarely here?” Jameson arched his back, tense. He didn't know, and he didn't like to think about it—otherwise it would mean that she considered other things more important than her own children. “Maybe she's just busy. Why don't you spend some time with us?”  

Us as in Jameson, Nash, and Grayson. “I don't think I'm up to anything right now.” He stared at the ground, unable to even think straight. Jamie squeeze his shoulder, asking really quietly, “Not even karaoke?”

After a long time gathering himself, with Jameson telling him about that one time he put superglue on Nash's favorite cowboy hat, and he had to get a buzz cut after using it just to make Xander laugh through his misery, they knocked on their brothers' bedrooms. Nash and Grayson were both reluctant, but once they understood the whole situation, they just agreed profusely. Walking through the halls, they tried to not make too much noise to do not disturb the employees sleep. They had a really tiring day and needed rest. Once they arrived, Nash turned the lights on, revealing the karaoke equipment in the stage. Untouched. Brand new. Ready for the night. Jameson started to run to pick one of the microphones, but Nash grabbed him by the shoulder. “Hey, James, not today. It's Xander's birthday, he will choose the music. It's fair.” Jameson made a furious face at Nash. “Don't call me James. I hate it.” Nash tilted his head. “Then behave.” He looked at Xander, “It's your night, Xan. Choose whatever the hell you want to, and we'll sing it.” Xan. Skye started calling him this way because she wanted to have a different nickname for her son. It hurt to remember that. It almost hurt when he was called by Xan by his brothers, but somehow it didn't. “He's five. You're not supposed to say hell in front of him” Grayson complained, arms crossed over his chest.

“Don't worry, kid”, he side eyed Jamie, “someone taught him worse words than just hell.” It was true. Jameson one day selected all the cuss words in the dictionary, and ran up to Xander so they would found out what they meant. “So, what are we waiting for?” Xander asked, excited. “Let's see how noise we can make without getting kicked out of the house!”

Nash was the first one, and Xander meticulously considered the most unserious song for a cowboy like him to sing. Only one music popped on his head, and he put it in the karaoke machine with a devilish smile. “Nash,” he turned to his brother, “I think this one would fit you well.” Nash looked at the music author and raised an eyebrow at the name. “Taylor Swift? Who's her?” 

Xander was shocked, to say the least. “You never heard 'You belong with me'?” He asked, and Nash shook his head. Did he live under a cave? “Never heard about the woman, but I know this song.” Xander nodded. It wasn't as bad as it seemed. The intro started to play and Jameson already lost it when Nash did the phone signal with his hand. Grayson tried hard to not laugh, but he was cracking up in the bridge. Xander almost fell to the ground. He was dying of laughter. “Make him stop” Grayson said, taking spaces between the words. They all had to make spaces between the words because of how funny the scene was. Even Nash couldn't hold it anymore in the end of the song. “Give me an autograph, Nash. I'm your biggest fan!”, Xander yelled, and they all chuckled. “I love this song. I'll look up for the artist later.” Nash told Xander, and he was amused. “You'll love her work!” Nash smiled and glanced Grayson. “Definitely. But I guess someone's about to sing to us, isn't it, Gray?”

Gray had, technically speaking, a bass type of voice. In other words, his voice was so low it fit classic songs really well. In Xander's words, his voice fit Katy Perry perfectly. His older brother gave him a dangerous look when 'Hot n Cold' started to play. Jameson was pleased, to say the least. “Go, Grayson!” he shouted, his voice echoing through the walls of the room. They all got up to dance and make fun of Grayson. He, in the other hand, had an incredible voice, as expected. He'd spent hours and hours singing, trying to achieve the perfect tone and not missing one single note. If he did miss, he'd have to start over and over until it was carved on his mind. Nash was dancing some steps that seemed really bizarre, but exactly like how Xander thought a cowboy would dance in this situation. Jamie was rocking the non-dance-floor, and his youngest brother too. They all were laughing, for Gray's misery. When he was done, left the microphone and came to join his brothers. “Didn't know you are a fan of Katy. I could give you my vinyls!”, Xander said cheerfully. “You cannot”, Gray narrowed his eyes. Jamie passed by them, picking up the microphone. “Though I think that Gray would love your vinyls, Xan, It's my turn to show you how my voice is better than his”, he looked at Grayson, a challenge in his eyes. Xander altered his glance between them, excited. “So it's on?”, he didn't have to give other explanation. Gray analyzed the situation, pondering if he should agree or just kick his brother's ass for saying that he has a better voice. Slowly, he shook his head, “Bring the karaoke battle, little brother.”

The situation was: Grayson, with murder in his eyes, singing “Milkshake” with Jameson, who had a wide-eyed gaze. The tension was intense and Nash almost interrupted, but he didn't take it serious. It was impossible to take anything serious when his brothers were singing about milkshakes and yards. Grayson was shooting bullets at Jameson with his eyes, what made the scene even funnier. And Jamie answered each look with a Jameson Winchester Hawthorne type of smile—long, Machiavellian, twisted, and playful. Like he was not worried about the competition because he would win eventually. Gray just had a blank face, beside his eyes.

Once it ended, they looked at Xander. “So who's the winner?”, they asked at the same time. It was determined that he would decide who was the winner. Only if he thought there was one. Spinning and picking up the mic from Gray's hand, he calmly replied, “Myself.” 

“Yourself?” Jamie laughed. “You didn't even sing.” Choosing the music, he said “I'm about to,” He turned around, “but not only me.”

Tobias had bought four microphones and four mic stands for his grandsons, probably thinking that they were going to sing together at some point. The point never came naturally, but Xander saw the opportunity and took it. And the song of the night was “Just Dance.” Nash was sort of a country music fan, but when it came to Lady Gaga, he did not play. And Gray was having way too much fun for someone who claimed that “classic music is better than pop.” Dancing and singing, they didn't even bother to be in rhythm. But it was still beautiful, because it was real, natural, and imperfect. In fact, it was so perfectly imperfect. This moment—the happiness they felt and shared—would be remembered. At least, Xander will always remember how his brothers saved his birthday. He always “saved” them with his humor and genuine joy, but sometimes he needed to have moments like this in order to don't feel drained. Certainly, his brothers were more than happy to give these moments to him. Surely the whole house was awake because of the noise, but it wasn't a problem to them. Fortunately, nobody came to interrupt, leaving them to taste the magnificent and wonderful moment

OC-tober Day 19: Inspiration

I’m queueing this post because I know I’ll be away from the 17th to the 19th – and because the theme is “inspiration”, I get to talk about my boy Hideki yet again.

(…Though it’s very likely that I won’t have talked about Hideki as part of this challenge yet, but I don’t know that for a fact since I’m writing this way ahead of time. What I mean is: I love talking about this. Strap in.)

When I first created my sweet boy Hideki, his name was Daniel and he was white. Horrible history, I know. I completely revamped this character around 2018-2019 for a Danganronpa RP (horrible history, I know) which gave me the perfect opportunity to keep the same basic layout but make it better, and accentuate some aspects, such as his relationship with being a top-student, a lot more.

One thing that hadn’t changed was my warm memory of the song that inspired this character in the first place. And that song was Animal I Have Become by Three Days Grace.

I created Daniel at some point when I was in high school. By that point, I already knew that song by heart. I’d discovered it via an edgy bloody anime girls montage on YouTube when I was like 10, and after years of listening to it via the AMV, I’d bought the album it was on, One-X, when I was in middle school. And for some reason, this was my go-to CD to put on when I was home alone and washing the dishes.

So it was one random day, as I was washing the dishes and listening to this song I loved, that inspiration struck and I came up with him.

I’m not going to lie, I still love this album unironically. Three Days Grace was never the same after their lead singer left – the new singer and direction never matched the raw and sincere frustration expressed in their earlier works. This album, generally, and this song were relatable as hell. When I listened to the song for the first hundred times, without really knowing what it meant and with English as my second language, I related this song to my personal experience of living in an abusive home (a theme explored in other songs on the album) and going to a school where I didn’t belong for many reasons. The “animal I had become” was, to me, the version of me that was too mentally exhausted to interact fully with the world, to be the real me I identified with. Years later, I could even add that the “monster” was my then-undiagnosed anxiety, which scared me and made me react in ways I didn’t understand. However, this song is ultimately about addiction. This is something I think I started to understand as my grasp of the English language gradually got better, and that I wound up confirming with a Google search.

It's with that personal relationship to the song and with that knowledge in mind that I came up with a character who had become someone they hated. A character who was a horrible version of themselves, but would internally beg for help, to be freed from this horror. I came up with a character who was initially a complete softie (in my more recent writings, I would make it obvious that he was too soft for his own good) and through abuse, confusion and exhaustion exploded one day and let himself become the worst possible version of himself. This “explosion” isn’t without the intervention of addiction, he lashes out on the person he wanted to build a life with, who then leaves him, and everything is interlinked.

(Of course, because I love a little bit of drama, there’s a misunderstanding with what really caused his boyfriend to “leave”. But that’s unrelated to any song. What matters to what is at the heart of what this song means to me, is what Hideki thinks happened.)

This was the gist of Hideki’s characterisation for a long time. Now, here’s the thing about that Danganronpa RP. Although Hideki was one of my most popular characters ever, and I went through a lot of effort to explore his characterisation as fully as I could within the limitations of that story, the person organising that RP, aka the GM, abused the shit out of me. Oopsie.

This post isn’t about me so I won’t go through the details, but taking advantage of the horrible mental state that I was in back then from going through undiagnosed post-traumatic stress disorder following my aforementioned situation of abuse, this person, among a couple others, made me go through hell and worsened my mental state to the point that I… went in shock one day from realising I had hit rock bottom a long time ago – that I had become the monster I’d feared all my life. This was accompanied by my own break-up, which was in fact what caused me to suddenly wake up.

And here was the inspiration for the second part of Hideki’s writing.

Funnily, my ex-partner had participated in that RP alongside me and had hated Hideki’s boyfriend for having left him, even if Hideki had in fact wronged him, because they knew that character knew what he was going through, and how dangerous it was to abandon him then. I shit you not my partner wound up doing the exact same thing to me. And it’s fine! I’d always defended the nuance in what Jun – the boyfriend character – was perceived to have done.

Here’s the thing, though: there’s a good ending to that story. Having suddenly opened my eyes to what was happening to me, I first went through so much shock that my mental health reached a brand new low and my life was in direct danger. And yet, this was a period in my life that was filled with hope. I was going through something extremely difficult, and that forced me to face the me that wanted to fight to the end. I’ll skip over the details – but after surviving this, having gotten some of the help I needed, having been faced with that strong ability to survive I had, I was able to take control of myself again. And I was free to be the real me again.

And that’s when it struck me that I’d never really conceptualised a good ending for Hideki.

My writing of Hideki kinda stopped in the middle of the conflict. As far as shoving him in different RPs where he would live through specific adventures went, that was perfect. But suddenly, I had a brand new experience, and something inside of me must have known just what made sense for such a relatable character as Hideki.

I know this is already very long, but here’s another song; one day, not too long after my healing had started, I was listening to some rock classics. One of those was Highway to Hell by AC/DC.

And very fittingly for Hideki, randomly, for no particular reason, I started to think about a character who was going to heal.

I thought about a Hideki who eventually reached the right time. Who one day felt like listening to music to help vent his frustrations, and by chance discovered rock, hard rock and metal. Who listened to Highway to Hell, felt something, and suddenly had something he wanted to do. Ideas like “attending a concert”, hope like “I will enjoy it” and “I will be able to blend in”, and that was the start of a messy journey, but a journey of healing nonetheless.

This is the start of an iteration of Hideki which I often joke about, dubbing him “metal Hideki”. He dyes his overgrown bright orange hair an ashy brown, he puts on an edgy t-shirt, and there’s something so fun about how silly it is and yet how much it means to his finally putting himself out there.

This inspired me to finish writing his and Jun’s stories, and I’m very satisfied with how I was able to draw inspiration from different stages in my life to write a compelling character, and by how a song was somehow the starting point both times.

There’s a lot more I could say about Hideki; his backstory and his future, which I never used in RP, in part because I have a full story to tell now! (And also because I’m never doing that shit again. Holy shit.) I’ll leave it at this recent cutesy doodle of him, which is directly taken from a song I felt like he would relate to.

SUPER MARIO RPG!

...I know you've probably seen tiktokers and youtubers freak out about this already but this moment will never not be a moment to celebrate!

It actually happened. Never in my lifetime did I think I would see this day. My co worker, who also grew up playing SNES and this is his fav game, came up to me after watching the Nintendo direct and said...

"cary what is the one game we want to see a remaster of?"

I thought for a bit and really couldn't come up with anything (Mario RPG was so off the radar I didn't even consider it) So he was like...

"REALLY??? WHAT'S THE ONE GAME..."

He didn't even finish talking and I blurted out MARIO RPG??!?!?!?

Still now I hardly believe it's real. This is a game that helped define me. The guide book I have has worn out pages because I spent so much time drawing things from it. The first time I played it was on my dad's busted old black and white tv... I'm not that old we just didn't have a lot of money back then hahaha. This was the game that made me fall in love with Mario lore... and possibly lore in general. I even had Mario RPG songs on my MP3 players growing up!

I can't wait to play this! I can't wait to see all the unique characters again. The Axem Rangers, Jinx, Gaz and his dolls, Belome... my goodness this is amazing!

Here's one thing that stood out that made me happy:

As soon as I saw Mario do that pose with Mallow it reminded me of that picture of Mario finding the hammer from the guide book. Just made me smile to see the game come full circle and become the same as the old official artwork. Speaking of the guide book artwork...

I REALLY hope when you equip a new article of clothing you get to see it on the character. As a kid I always imagined the team wearing them!

To end this post I've heard a lot of people saying they hope for new content/dlc or something. I'd enjoy that but I'm okay with a true remaster. That being said, I saw two things I didn't recognize from the original game. One was Geno and Mallow on a rainbow road. I figured maybe that was some sort of change to star road's design? The other I don't remember at all!

...I don't remember any time when Mallow and Mario ride in the clown car? Maybe I'm wrong and it's around Boosters tower?

It's been a while since your last update from the military. I must confess, even though I know that next year you'll be back to us, it seems like it's been an eternity since you enlisted.

I remember the shock I had when I heard the news. It was inevitable at the time, I knew that at some point you should have gone but still, it looked like sudden news regardless. Onewe are incomplete without your voice, Yonghoon.

But I also remember how you cheered us and told us that you'll manage to keep in touch with us in a way or another. And you did it. You really did it, Yonghoon.

I remember how my eyes were on the merge of tears when I saw you singing for your colleagues at the training camp. Your hair was freaking short at the time, a true bald scalp 🤣 But despite that, seeing you singing Universe_ in front of your colleagues, receiving applauses and love for your talent made me relieved a little.

Then I saw some group pictures from the training camp and I saw how happy you looked and how you got along with your colleagues so easily. Honestly, I'm not surprised by that, you've always been Onewe's social butterfly to me and I will not be surprised if you made a new friend there.

And I remember how, when "Still Here" came out, you called Giuk during the live and you sang a little bit of the song. It was another moment where I really felt how much I missed you. And I thought I would have been strong enough to endure your missing.

I look up every message and post you left on the fancafé, every time you perform with the military band, I'm searching every clip just to hear your voice again. I even listen to the little audio bits you left almost every month. I don't even check up the translations anymore, I just listen to your voice and that's it because I really missed you and I want you back.

Almost a year ago I decided to give you the title of Best Leader because of these actions. Since then I have met other amazing leaders who work hard for their role and keep the group together. But you...you're always the best one for me. I can't wait to see you with Onewe once again.

2024 is very near and when I see you being discharged I think I'll be the happiest Weve in the world. This is my birthday wish for you today. I wish to see you healthy and strong when you'll be back.

Dear Rebel Pt. 1 🌟🏴

In today's post and my second/third post overall, I shall talk about Erina and how I developed unexpected feelings for her and, in turn, fell in love romantically for the second time in my life, which I didn't think was possible:

The first time I met Erina in this world was at GamesCom 2023, when I was lucky enough to play a bit of Persona 5 Tactica at the Sega/Atlus booth! At the time, I knew of her name after seeing the trailer for P5T on the interwebs and being surprised that the phantom thieves were back for another adventure, but getting to know how she played and seeing her in action, I thought she was really cool, just like Robin, I was in awe, although I didn't have feelings for her at the time because me then didn't know what was coming until she counted down to the days until Tactica was released to the Nintendo Switch on November 17th, 2023. It was then that the day came, but it wasn't until the next day, November 18th, 2023, that I went to my nearest GameStop and picked up Tactica, excited to finally be hands-on with not just a Persona game but something from the P5 series of games, albeit Tactica being a spinoff like Strikers. As I booted up my switch and inserted the cartridge, there was the icon for Persona 5 Tactica right there on my screen. As I excitedly clicked the A button on my right joycon, it loaded, and the song Revolution in Your Heart, sung by Lyn, played as the intro started. I was excited to see my bestest friend Ryuji, but seeing Erina, I said, "Oh, Erina!" as the intro wrapped up and I went to the title screen. I was greeted by Ryuji's voice, and I started up a new game file. As I played through Marie's kingdom, I couldn't help but admire Erina as I remembered the talk of woman crushes with a friend of mine as I mentioned that Erina was being tied with Haru Okumura being my woman crush as she asked me why I explained that she looked so pretty and that I admired her spirit to help the people of her world fight back against Lady Marie and saying that might've ignited something because as the days of me playing Tactica went on, I couldn't stop talking about how pretty Erina was, even saying how much of a badass she was! As we got to the part of Marie's kingdom where Erina got shot by one of her legionnaires, it caught me off guard as I screamed, "ERINA NOOOOO!" Although she turned out alright, it made me worried and a bit sad that happened to her. It was then, jokingly, although my words would've eaten themselves later on, I said, "If I were attracted to woman, Erina turned me gay /j," since I identified as a heteroromantic demisexual at that time, I was questioning my sexuality because of the Rebel Corps Leader, as I said I was in lesbians with her like Scott Pilgrim said to Ramona Flowers.

Some of you get letters from me both on whatapp and on gmail... sometimes I write when I am at my computer......sometimes when I am out and want to keep my thoughts together so bear with me

 I cannot keep up with all that is happening Monday evening  I attended the safest quietest demonstration and saddest I have ever been to . It was like a rehearshal  for a furneral. ife.  We were there from 6.30 to after 9.  At least 100 people. Most of the time I was on my feet although I had taken my chair with me.  But I could not sit.  We waited for the families of the kidnapped who after two weeks which feels like a lifetime were at last invited to sit with the wife of the president.  Where has she been these two weeks. So we stood and every now and again people would start singing very quietly hayikva and songs of peace and hope. And then the families started coming out calling to us not to forget them. And then one man came out and said shouting that we should shout ״NOW, NOW, NOW  And then the shouting started in English and in Hebrew.  Return them.  Return them

 all sorts of slogans.  They came out saying don’t forget u

s and we said we would not.  I was on my legs a lot.  I felt I could not sit when they were suffering and that afterwards I would go back to what is a normal life in these times. One lady I know from sheikh jarrah was there in her wheelchair and she made me place to sit with her in her wheelchair.and someone sent me this picture. But going back to the car I suddenly found I could not lift my leg to get on to the pavement.  That was personally very frightening for me.

This morning, 24.10.23, following the difficult news about Palestinian  Burin that appeared yesterday on the web. I called this morning first to Doha and then to Munir: Doha has never sounded so upset and asking for help from us and to anyone you can.

Doha: The prevention of the harvest is more violent than ever and closer to homes than ever. The soldiers and settlers with weapons dispersed among the village houses and demanded that people stop the harvest. The children were ordered by threats to enter the houses. The same goes for her friend's 9-year-old child.

Munir: A group of soldiers and settlers entered the village at 16.00 and threw stun grenades demanding to stop the harvest even next to the main road of the entrance to Burin. 300 olive trees belonging to the residents of Burin Shield Yitzhar were uprooted.

waterparks: a detailed history and timeline

waterparks is a pop rock band from houston texas consisting of awsten knight (vocals, guitar), geoff wigington (guitar), and otto wood (drums). formed in 2011, their first ep release and members solidified in 2012, most of the history of waterparks has been lost to time and funny lies that warped into lore.

until now.

disclaimer: do not contact/harass anyone mentioned in this post. their names are only being mentioned for historical reason and many mentioned are not in contact with the band anymore.

prologue

the origins of waterparks lie in a band before it. jawn rocha and awsten knight had befriended each other through the houston music scene when they were in middle school. the blue poptarts (later renamed over 9000! following the addition of a new drummer) was jawn and awsten’s high school band. the aforementioned drummer as the band rebranded was otto wood, who had auditioned after contacting them on myspace. 

in july 2010, over 9000 flew to detroit for an opportunity to record an album, but unfortunately this turned out to be a scam and caused otto to start drifting apart from them. on december 10, 2010, over 9000 had their last show, otto driving off in silence afterwards and not talking to them anytime, ending the band and their friendship with otto.

2011

with the demise of over 9000, awsten created the twitter account for waterparks in february 2011. he did not actually have a new band or a band name at this point and only came up with the name in july (sources: 1 and 2).  

the band was originally a five piece (the first “official” lineup they had by july 2011 shown below):

tommy denley - guitar

gage matthieu - unclean vocals, bass

tyler could not actually play keyboard even though he moved all the way from west virginia to play for the band, so he was quickly dropped from the band.

he was also the reason the band got its name as before band practices, one of the members would tell him they were going to a waterpark so he’d get in his swimsuit and then that member would take tyler to rehearsal because he was gullible and the rest of the band thought it was funny.

the band’s first ever single “i was hiding under your porch because i love you” was released on july 27.  

on september 15, they released their second single, “silver”. on the 23rd, awsten featured on “pray for dean” by rap group dwhb (dem waffle houze boiz) consisting of travis riddle, andrew atwood, and dean thomasson.

2012

with the band awsten had left, airplane conversations was released on april 3, 2012 and recorded with the remnants of the original lineup (gage, awsten, and owen) as tommy was dropped from the band sometime before for unknown reasons. 

on june 13, “i was hiding under your porch because i love you” became the first ever waterparks music video and the only one with this lineup. 

sometime after this, owen was arrested for theft and attempted to get awsten to lie to the police for him so he had to make the decision to cut owen out of his life. following this, gage introduced geoff wigington to awsten as a candidate for a new guitarist and joined soon after.

with an almost complete band, awsten went on a search for a new drummer until he was left with no other option except to ask otto, who had already liked/listened to the ep because awsten had sent it to him (source). shortly after, gage was dropped from the band due to creative differences and his inability to play the songs.

waterparks had their first show on august 17th of that year with the lineup we know today (also they had a box of pizza open for them). 

they had a couple other shows that year (not counting the show for the fake dubstep project made to headline over design the skyline): opening for chiodos and learning gangnam style from craig owens on october 14, opening for driver friendly on november 17, and playing the houston house of creeps on november 23.

2013

on january 9, waterparks started off the year with the release of the “silver” music video,  marking the first video with the official lineup and the second video for airplane conversations. the teaser video for that can be found here. 

on april 1, the jf sessions video was posted, which was an interview documenting the band at that point. on the 16th, dwhb released their album, dog park, which included a track awsten featured on called “light it up”.

on may 11, they opened for aaron carter on the houston date of his after party tour. they only got to play this show because awsten lied to the promoter that they were bigger than they actually were.

on july 23, “new wave” was released as the first single with the new lineup and post-airplane conversations. the music video was filmed and their next ep began production that year as well.

in august, they played the houston date of the vans warped tour.

on september 28, they opened the houston date of the north american tour of you me at six.

2014

on april 3, 2014, waterparks posted an announcement video for their second ep, black light. in that same month, the music video for “new wave” was released.

“night maps” was the second single off the ep, released june 2. on the 5th of that month, the ep was released. 

it was during this year that awsten began bleaching/dying his hair: pink in july, blonde by september, and blue in december.

2015

on march 24, 2015, waterparks released the music video for “i’m a natural blue”, an acoustic version being posted to soundcloud on april 10.

in may, awsten posted three tracks on soundcloud under side joke rap moniker lil kidz bop, featuring the band and their friends. a track featuring otto was already posted from november 2014.

in the summer of that year, they began travelling to and from california to begin production on a new ep as well as beginning their partnership with benji and joel madden, parx being managed under their new company, mddn.

on november 6, they announced their signing to equal vision records and released their first song on the label, “crave”. on the 9th of that month, the music video for “crave” was released. on the 18th, they announced they’d be opening for never shout never on the black cat tour the following year and on the 19th, parx opened for good charlotte at the troubadour for their comeback show.

2016

on january 15, the band’s third ep, cluster was released. in that same month, they set off for the black cat tour and forced jawn rocha to become their photographer (his words not mine).

in june, they began the recording process for the first waterparks album before heading off for their first cross country warped tour. this was also the tour when geoff broke his hand in its duration. on the 7th of that month, a “no capes” black cat tour recap video was released. 

in august, waterparks played reading and leeds, mikey way playing bass as he did for the recording of cluster. the first single off their album was “stupid for you”, released the last day of that month along with the announcement of double dare.

the second single, “hawaii (stay awake)”, was premiered on september 30 on pete wentz’s sirius xm hits1 radio show and released on october 4. the single, “royal” was released october 24.

on november 4, double dare was released. on the 7th of that month, the “stupid for you” music video premiered. from early november to early december, waterparks opened for sleeping with sirens on the end the madness tour.

2017

on january 25, the music video for “royal” was released.

from february to early march, waterparks co-headlined a north american tour with too close to touch. shortly following that, they also opened for all time low on a uk tour that same march.

on may 15, a “plum island” recap video of the uk tour was released. they headlined a show in japan before doing three other stops there to open for all time low.

from late june to early august, waterparks opened for all time low once again on the young renegades north american tour. in between that, the “gloom boys” music video was posted on july 13 and attended the apmas and won best breakthrough artist on the 17th.

following the tour that month, the music video for “21 questions” was released.

from october 2 to 4, waterparks opened for mayday parade for a lesson in romantics’ 10th anniversary europe tour alongside with confidence. on the 20th, the first single post-double dare, “blonde” was released. the “blonde” music video was released on november 2, along with the reveal of awsten’s purple hair and the second parx album.

from november to early december, the band headlined the made in america tour.

on november 22, awsten posted the first version of “worst” on his youtube channel following a tumultuous breakup with actress ciara hanna. 

on december 1, they won a rock sound award for best international breakthrough artist.

on december 3, awsten released money mountain vol. ii under felony steve, another parody rap alter ego. there were two music videos made for this, the latter only found in reuploads: girl u broke my heart and velcro. the mixtape was quickly taken down due to issues with equal vision, though in recent years it was made public again on soundcloud.

on december 14, “lucky people” was released along with the music video for it.

2018

on january 15th, awsten + travis’ slumber party, a fanfic podcast with longtime friend and author travis riddle, premiered on idobi radio, andrew atwood handling sound and composing jingles for it. on the 16th, “not warriors” premiered on sirius xm’s the emo project, the song being released on streaming platforms the following day. on the 26th of that month, entertainment was released.

from january 30 to february 4, parx opened for the maine on their austrailian tour.

on february 13, the music video for “not warriors/crybaby” was released.

on march 1-20, waterparks went on the uk/eu entertainment tour.

from late june to early august, they embarked on the final cross country vans warped tour. between that, on july 9, the music video for “we need to talk” was posted.

on august 21, a “peach lobotomy” warped tour recap video was released. starting that same day to september 1, waterparks went on a uk/eu fall tour, opening for sum 41 at select dates.

from november to early december, they went on the north american entertainment tour. on december 5 and 6, they headlined two shows in australia before performing at good things festival for the next three days.

from late november to the january of the following year, the slumber party podcast premiered its second season. in mid december, awsten and travis went on a three day tour for the podcast live show. 

2019

from mid february to late march, waterparks opened for one ok rock on the north american eye of the storm tour.

on february 21, parx posted a picture of them wearing primary color windbreakers. this would be one of the earliest appearances of this color palette. 

on march 8, awsten featured on “rainy days in la” by adam&steve, a project by youtuber elijah daniel and producer sam f. on the 15th, they released a jazzy cover of head automatica’s “beating heart baby”.

on march 24, awsten revealed his red hair on the eye of the storm tour and on the 27th revealed he had deleted the files to friendly reminder, what was supposed to be parx’s third album and had been hinted at since the entertainment era, specifically in the not warriors/crybaby video.

on april 3, awsten revealed he had dyed his hair a cotton candy hue temporarily.

on may 23, waterparks released “turbulent”, the first official single post-entertainment. they also revealed they had signed to hopeless records and awsten’s green hair for the era. slam dunk festival was their first performance for this era in late may.

on june 10, awsten published his memoir, you’d be paranoid too (if everyone was out to get you). on the 21st, the felony steve moniker got revived to feature on a track of lil phag, another elijah daniel project, “ihatemetoo”.

in july, awsten began the fandomorange account on instagram to promote and chronicle the making of the new album. 

on august 12, “watch what happens next” was released as the next single along with its music video. that same day they announced their third album fandom. on the 16th, the single “dream boy” was released, premiering the day before on sirius xm hits 1. its music video was released on the 23rd.

on september 12, the single “[reboot]” was released. on the 25th, the single “high definition” was released along with its music video. 

on october 12, fandom was released, one of the tracks being a reworked version of “worst”. on the 17th, “easy to hate” was released as a single along with its music video.

on november 3, they released “entertainment 2019″, a medley of entertainment songs. on the 23rd, they released “double dare 2019″, a medley of double dare songs. these releases were meant to be ways for the band to have ownership and be compensated for the music released on their previous label, but were soon taken down from streaming platforms due to legal complications.

on december 19, they won a rock sound award for song of the year, “turbulent”.

from november to december, they embarked on the north american fandom tour. 

2020

from late january to early february, waterparks went on the uk fandom tour, recording the birmingham date for a live concert film. on january 22, they released 1 (a collection of unreleased home demos, this is not g, or even an album, shut up enjoy) on soundcloud as a tweet awsten posted requesting 20k retweets for him to drop a new waterparks album that day reached that number.

from march to june, the third season of the slumber party podcast premiered. 

on april 17, awsten was featured on “wobble” by patent pending. that same month, he began his social media hiatus and began production on the next waterparks album during this time.

on september 17, awsten returned to social media and had an acoustic instagram live where he leaked post-fandom single “lowkey as hell” while he cut his green hair off, leaving his natural hair. the single was officially released on the 25th along with the announcement of their signing to 300 entertainment. its music video and reveal of awsten’s primary colored hair was posted on november 18.

on november 27, waterparks’ live concert film, fandom: live in the uk was released.

2021

on the first day of the year, awsten announced via twitter that there is a new waterparks album.

on february 26, the second single from the album, “snow globe” was released along with its music video and the announcement of their fourth album greatest hits. 

on march 18, awsten was featured on “perfume” by de’wayne. on the 27th, they streamed the virtual anti tour performance. on the 29th, “numb” was released as a single, the music video being posted on the 31st.

during a twitch livestream in april, awsten revealed he had a secret youtube channel limousine aux that posted old demos. on the 28th, they released the next single, “you’d be paranoid too (if everyone was out to get you)”, the name sharing the title of awsten’s memoir. the music video for this single was posted on the 30th.

on may 12th, they released the single “just kidding” along with its music video. the final single, “violet!” was released on the 18th after premiering on an acoustic livestream/interview. greatest hits was released on the 21st. the “violet!” music video was released on the 26th.

on june 4th, they released a performance of greatest hits in its entirety as part of the wiltern livestream series.

on july 14, they released the “fruit roll ups” music video.

on august 18, the music video for “the secret life of me” was released.

from august 28 to september 4, waterparks played their first in person shows for the promotion of greatest hits on a uk tour.

from october 25 to december 6, they embarked on a night out on earth us tour.

2022

in early 2022, awsten began teasing parx5 along with announcing a variety of tours they would take on in the summer.

on april 22, “telephone” from fandom was featured in the netflix series, heartstopper.

the first single announced from parx5 was “funeral grey”, its presave link being active and teased throughout their last tour. they shared a snippet of backing vocals on april 18, shared a longer clip on may 4, and announced its release date of may 13, using the site funeralgrey.com to tease more clips and images from its music video.

on may 10, parx announced they signed to fueled by ramen. along with the single, the “funeral grey” music video was released.

from june 9 to july 1, waterparks embarked on the much delayed european see you in the future tour and played the unreleased song, “brainwashed”.

on july 7, they released the single, “self sabotage”.

from july 8 to august 5, they toured the us for the sad summer festival.

on august 8, they released the “self sabotage” music video, a compilation from the london date of the syitf tour.

from august 30 to september 5, waterparks opened for my chemical romance on small leg of their returning us tour and debuted the unreleased song, “real super dark” live. this marked parx’s first times playing in arenas. on october 17th, they opened for mcr for their final date of the tour along with midtown.

from september 16 to september 29, waterparks opened for blackbear on his nothing matters tour along with heart attack man. during this tour they live debuted and announced their collaboration with blackbear, the song “fuck about it”. the song was officially released on october 14. 

on november 15, they announced the album was finished and on the 18th, they announced the tracklist. on the 22nd, they announced the title of their 5th album, intellectual property, notably breaking the alphabetical order of their discography and slated for a spring 2023 release.

on december 1, the music video for “fuck about it” was released. 

2023

on january 26, waterparks officially released the song, “real super dark” along with its visualizer. along with this, they announced the album release date.

from february 1-11, waterparks opened for you me at six for the first time in ten years on their truth decay tour. they also performed acoustic outstores between days they weren’t performing as openers.

on march 9, they officially released the single, “brainwashed” along with an accompanying visual.

on april 14, intellectual property was released and the fuck about it museum event was held the same day in los angeles. from april 15-21, waterparks did acoustic instores for the promotion of the album.

from april 28 to june 14, waterparks embarked on the north american property tour, recording a live dvd on the tour’s boston date.

after months of silence, in september, waterparks wiped their instagram of most posts except for the ones pertaining to the release of intellectual property. the band account would then cryptically post weekly writings on a green background. after much confusion, they would begin teasing the single, “sneaking out of heaven” by mailing reversed snippets of the song on usbs for their fans and peers to decipher online. on september 20, the snippets were made available online by interacting with the dotted background of the song’s presave page redirected from the band website.

from october 3-6, waterparks went on the property tour australia, their second australian tour since entertainment era. during this tour, the band played a live debut of “sneaking out of heaven”, which now had an official release date. on october 11, which also doubles as the 4th anniversary of fandom’s release, the single was officially released. the song’s music video was released the following day. from october 22 to 23, waterparks played at when we were young festival.

from october 31 to november 24, waterparks went on the property tour europe/uk, the last installment of property tours.

on december 3, they performed a special acoustic set for the closure of the original warehouse live location in eado though otto wood was not present for this performance. this would be the last set ever at the venue.

2024

on february 21, awsten revealed he had dyed his hair black. on the 25th, he revealed the front parts of his hair were still red.

from february 26 to april 6, waterparks embarked on the sneaking out of heaven tour.

on may 25-26, they performed at slam dunk festival, where they would announce intellectual property 2: lost in the property via merch with the tracklist and an online store. on the 26th, “soulsucker” was released. this would mark their announcement to depart from fueled by ramen to go fully independent for the first time in ten years. on the 28th, the song’s music video was released. 

on june 28, “fai2″, a reworked version of “fuck about it” featuring zeph, was released. on the 29th, its music video was released.

on july 30, awsten revealed he had dyed his hair blue, purple, and magenta.

on august 2, awsten had revealed via a short video clip that he had scrapped intellectual property 2 due to numerous problems and mental health tolls in the buildup to its release. the next day, waterparks had an “aftershow” performance the night before their lollapalooza set. they released a final track from the album called “guilt (interlude)” along with a music video on august 4th, which was an album version of an intermission sequence during the sooh tour and released on the day of their lollapalooza 2024 performance. on august 16, they released “gh2024″, a medley of select songs off their 2021 album and also performed during the sooh tour. on the 24th, awsten performed a solo acoustic set at the rock and roll hall of fame for waterparks’ inclusion in hopeless records’ exhibit in the museum.

on october 18, waterparks released 2 (a collection of unreleased demos, this is not j, or even an album, shut up enjoy) on streaming services with accompanying visuals of the demos: “call me, beep me” a song cut from the original greatest hits tracklist, and “talking to myself”, whose visual was released a day after.

henlo my beloveds!! i cannot believe that an entire year has passed in which not a single day goes by where i dont think about, listen to, watch, or fawn over (or all of the above) the most amazing group of young artists that i’ve ever had the pleasure of loving.

below the cut you will find some unnecessary emotional babbling about my short but amazing time as an atiny and some words of love to some of the people on this website who have contributed to that happiness. (fair warning: it is really fucking long i am so sorry and i do not expect many people to read it. tags and messages are at the bottom if that’s what you’re here for)

a week or so from today marks my first anniversary of being part of atinyblr, but it was on the fateful day of saturday july 17th 2021 that i watched my very first piece of ateez content and fell head over heels for fireworks!yeosang.

over 6000 tumblr posts later (what can i say? when ya boy obsesses, she oBsESsEs alright), and here we are. tumblr user woosansang who had previously not changed their url for SIX YEARS breaks tradition for Some Guys. smh @ myself at how whipped i am. @/bowtiescarves, you had a good run.

while yeosang captured my attention literally instantly, some of you know how utterly in denial i was about my san bias, which manifested itself within mere days of discovering them, yet it took me over six months to acknowledge how much he affected me. seonghwa joined the bias line second, officially, but then he got kicked out after deja vu because apparently i can’t take him seriously when he’s got pink hair or something idk. anyway, for all of one week i was posting about yeosang, san and seonghwa. and then i discovered inception era wooyoung and my life was basically over then. like. fucking goodbye jazzy lol LOL.

i remember listening to compilations of jongho singing for hours. i remember being so upset that they came to australia back in 2019 before i really even knew what kpop was at all and feeling like i’d missed my chance (cut to me now, kind of considering a wholeass holiday to korea for the sole purpose of seeing them live). i remember watching every. single. thanxx stage. GOD. those first few weeks were wild.

then i made my first ateez gifs. of seonghwa of all people. and since then, i have made more gifs and gifsets in the past year than the previous seven or eight years of being a casual content creator combined. (like i said, i’m insanely obsessed but wcyd)

outside of tumblr, i am a dancer, and after only knowing of ateez for a few weeks, my sister (who introduced me to them) and i decided that we were going to cut together a mashup song and learn a bunch of their choreographies to perform at our dance school’s annual concert in 2021. lockdowns and restrictions meant that we ended up learning and teaching this dance to our friend almost entirely online, and if i’m being completely honest here, our ateez dance was one of the only things that kept me happy during all the time spent stuck at home. like. combine dance and my current hyperfixation and you get one happy jazzy. we weren’t perfect by any means, but i was so so proud of our little trio for what we managed to accomplish (i think most of you have already seen my dance but if you want, you can dm me and i’ll send you the link if you want to watch!). our dance was ridiculously well recieved by the audience and i cannot remember ever being happier on stage then when i was performing to ateez’s music. it’s wild how serotonin works hey.

the past year of my life has been hectic, especially this last six months with my new job, and ateez has been the main thing that’s kept me going strong this whole time. they make me so happy, and the friends i have made through them make me so happy as well <3 i am so grateful that i found them and fell in love with them when i did <3

A Decade Through Time: The Alderberg Legacy: Year 1609

Sorry guys , it will only post this tonight. I’m having a headache 😥

From the Beginning I Currently

The first quarter of 1609 a calm one , at least at the Dagworth home. 

Mary & Hubert had a calm day at the with their sons.

Soon Amos would need old enough to walk around and play with  with his brother , soon old enough for Mary to use her “motherly love” to educate him.  

And in a few months time , a third little Dagworth will arrive. 

The Friswell family , for the last couple of years had been struck by unfortunate events , end sadly it would continue to 1609. 

Sweet Annabel Friswell , just a year after Charles’s death , became dreadfully sick with smallpox and died from the decided , shy away from her 6th birthday. Leaving her poor father , older brother and little sister alone in the world. 

At the beginning of the second quarter of the year , during a mild snowstorm, Parnell Mildmay gave birth.  

It was a delightful baby girl , whom was named Thomasin. 

But why Thomasin? Although Geoff didn’t remember his father , he had promised his mother that he would name his first born after him. Geoff and Parnell came to the conclusion that they might not have a son to name after him , so they picked Thomasin for their first born child. 

Back at the Dagworths, Amos was now toddling around the house , playing with his older brother Tobias merrily. 

Mary’s pregnancy was conformed , and it wouldn’t be long until their third child will arrive. Mary hopes for a third boy, yet Hubert surprisingly expressed wishes for a girl, as all families should at-least have 1 daughter in his opinion.  

1609 had been a quiet affair for the Alderberg family. It’s been a year since Helewis and Griffyn’s marriage and the family has found a new normal. 

Lucy Alderberg had her 6th birthday during the second quarter , and she had taken a big interest in board games. She had formed a weird habit of “betting” while gaming. She would bet for stuff like food or stuff. Griffyn finds Lucy’s little habit interesting , but hopes she will grow out of it. He didn’t want his youngest daughter to become a gambler. 

Caleb had also developed a new hobby , and it was writing. He enjoyed reading in general , and writing became a way for him to express thoughts that was trapped in his head. It was mostly simple stuff , short stories or things that had happen during the day. 

Sadly by the end of the second quarter , Geoff’s little family had a loss as Thomasin didn’t make it past her first 3 months of life , after a nasty and deadly cold infecting the girl. Parnell & Geoffrey will always remember their sweet baby girl , but this was the 17th century, and not all children made it. 

3 months Mary had went into labor by the end of the year and gave birth to a baby girl. 

Her husband was at aw of little Fanstine Dagworth , and so were Tobias and Amos. 

And how did Mary feel? Content, maybe even happy. She never thought she wanted a daughter , but holding her precious Fanstine made her rethink. She couldn’t stop imagining her life: How she would grow up in high society , perhaps marry a minor noble or a wealthy merchant , living in a beautiful house in the city or a manor , with Mary always visiting , of course. Fanstine would be perfection in Mary’s eyes, now she just have to grow up… 

At Mary’s family home , Grace Stanwix celebrated her 6th birthday. 

She was a sweet soul , always so kind to her grandmother and grandfather. Anne felt pampered with how much love her grandchild gave her each day , and she knew Sybil would loved and cherished Grace like no other. 

Grace couldn’t wait for spring to come , so she can play outdoors all day long with James and Lucy. Where she can hear the sweet songs of birds and enjoy simple life. 

High up in Outland at the Wolfeden’s den ,Beatrice also celebrated a birthday , her 13th to be precise. 

Beatrice had always been the more intellectual sister out of the 3. She always win in games and had a thirst for knowledge, yet with this knowledge it made her a bit of a know-it-all, but she was still a very kind and generous sim. She’s kind towards other and kind towards nature , as she does always try to work with mother nature and the watcher’s blessing. A very interesting girl , our Beatrice.

Friday 28th of January 2022. Almost two years after Walls. It’s a Friday. It’s a 28th. What else can I say?

He said back on May 2th 2020 he wasn’t writing anything new yet.

Interestingly enough, he’s said many times after that that the album’s not ready cause he has no new experiences to drawn from. I won’t call him out because he does it himself.

May 4th. He liked a tweet from DMA’s Johnny Took saying they had to go write together again. Louis has been credited as an influence for them and (kind of) participated in their previous record, so I’m assuming he meant for their music and not his, but you never know.

Nothing(literally nothing??? how did we survive) until 11th of July. We all know what happened that day. We all celebrated it. Nonetheless, that’s not what I’m talking about here.

(x) So, by the beginning of July 2020 he was working on concepts and ideas for the new album. That was fifteen months ago. I know perfection takes time but…

Brief summary of important things that happened from then until the next mention of new music:

Louis left Syco!!!! 10 days later he rescheduled the tour for the first time. He followed Matt Vines on Twitter, probably so we could publicly shame him into doing something. Also, the 10thanniversary. He followed more people I wish he hadn’t.

Then more nothing until September. Not even a single tweet. The first merch drop was on the 28th of August but he just RT’ed the tweet. He first mentioned Free my Meal on the 25th of September. Then on October 1st Walls hit #1 on a lot of countries and Louis was incredibly happy and excited about it ^^

And then, that same day, October 1st, 2020, he dropped this bomb:

These next paragraphs are brought to you by my mind not remembering things and me not having any links. I’m assuming COACOAC came from those writing sessions that supposedly happened in October. Or in LA but I have no idea if he actually was in LA at any point other than a Daily Mail article putting him there on December which would have been too late, but I do remember that someone said he was in the studio in LA last autumn???? A rumor. Maybe. IDK. Did I mention already all of this is very hypothetical?? Well, this is it. I can’t even remember if this was October or November or what. So, take this with a grain of salt.

I’m also… taking the liberty to assume, if you must, that Copy wasn’t meant to be a Walls reject because it sounds more mature and darker and it has a vastly different tone that Walls songs. I know he’s said that song probably isn’t getting into the album, but I want to have faith (in the future) that I’m getting a studio version. (But also, Louis, if you’re reading this, first of all GET OUT OF MY BLOG second of all, please don’t ever feel pressured again to add a song to the album because we have already heard it before. It’s your art and it should always be under your own terms).

So yeah, I believe that Copy is either one of those four songs (then imagine the other three??!!) or was written around the 1st of October date.

Another Summary: Louis third tweet of the year was telling the UK government off. So was the fifth. What a good beginning. On the 26th of January, he said he prefers pancakes over waffles. So…AN EP?? AN EP?? PLEASE RELEASE AN EP.

“I’m sure I will have something out this year but unlikely that will be the album”. Unlikely but not impossible. Also. A single would be good. This is the second time he mentions releasing something in 2021 and he sounds surer about it than the first time around.

He also said that he isn’t sure we will get a studio version of Copy. And that the best bridges from Walls to LT2 are Walls, OTB, KMM and Copy. Can’t wait!

Then we jump to March 6th when he announced he was going to create his own management company. “Sometimes action is needed first to encourage the motivation and belief”. As we can tell he was already manifesting some stuff which will lead us to the numerology stuff/Tesla… kidding. Or not. We might never know.

On the 22nd of March he answered some questions:

On the 19th of April he announced that he had something BIG for us later on the year which turned out to be the Away From Home Festival ♥♥ (x) I love him so much.

Then on the 28th he announced the 369 merch drop (which it’s probably the Walls drop? Except that the TOU and KMM ones were “drop 1 and drop 2” and this was drop 369 which, again, makes no sense) but we still don’t know what 369 means.

Into May’ 21 we go.

He rescheduled tour again. And dropped another bomb (x).

He announced he has signed with BMG as an independent artist by RTing this tweet on May 10th. The article also says that he’s already working on writing and recording LT2. The timing… we don’t know. What this deal involves… we don’t know either. Bear with me here because I have a lot to say about this.

I think the deal is only a distribution one, but that BMG are interested in Louis and what he (us) could bring to the table. They were either present at the festival or watching it, but officially they had no involvement at all with it (everything is credited either to Louis own company, 78 Productions, or Charlie Lightening’s company). That’s the case for both giveaways too; the vinyl one and the tickets for the festival.

I think it would be an unbelievably bad move not to test the waters with BMG now or soon-ish. At least a single, to see how it performs. Due to the circumstances, it’s obvious there’re certain limitations on place but I want to see how they push it, whether the radio play exist this time around and if the song is playlisted and promoted and all that… I would also love to know, since it says he signed with BMG UK, but it also states it’s a global deal, how things are going to go on the US and other countries.

Yes, yes. I know those are all questions and no answers. But I know the same as you, sadly. If any of you know more than you’re letting on… again, share with the class.

Where was I? Yes, on the 25th of May Louis had a great day writing (x). Since the first time he had mentioned he was officially writing to this date there’s almost eight months. And I believe he was writing before October’ 20.

He followed Robert Harvey that day and, on the 28th of May (why is it always the 28th???) he was spotted at the studio for the first time.

June was an interesting month for the fandom ♥. Lots of LHL content which I will love and cherish for the rest of times. On June 4th, June 9th, and June 10th he was spotted at the studio, but I believe he was there more days.

This was posted on June 6th and captioned Studio. Charlie also shared it with “Mega tunes being put down, can’t wait for this @louist91 #louistomlinson #LT2” as the caption. This gives me 2019 (Elton-Joint) vibes. I like it. Feels like we’re getting closer to something.

He added the Milano date on the 9th too which I’m mentioning because I’m going alone. Anyone wanna go with me please? I’m nice and I never eat anything before a concert so you can have my food. On other news. It didn’t come home.

During July he was at the studio at least three days too. Probably more. Feels like more with all the fan pictures we got. Or was that June? Anyway, July 1st and 9th we got some videos from Robert Harvey and wearesuperhi, which is who Louis has been working with the most, that we know of. I don’t know for sure they’re from that day. And on July 5th we got an article and lots of pictures of Louis looking really good outside the studio.

On the 12th of July the first fans started getting the free, 369 bucket hat and print. We still don’t know what the purpose was other than to thanks fans. Maybe that was it. I want answers and I still think it relates to a future project (see theories above), but it could also just be a bridge with the Walls breaking.

He didn’t tweet about anything interesting for a while, mostly because he lost his phone (he either throwed it in the air or smashed it who knows). Then on the 29th of July he announced the festival!

I’m glossing over it because there’s already been a lot of talk about it (rightfully) and while it was a wonderful thing, it doesn’t have much to do with LT2.

On the 16thof August Dave Gibson shared this post tagged #LT2 with the eyes emojis 👀👀👀. I believe this has to do both with Change but also with whatever else came out of that Mexico trip.

So, on the 30th of August we got Change and we cried, and we know that Change is going in the new album. He said it. With those exact words. He also said he was “getting a feeling for it”. This has to meant he already has a general idea of the vibe of the new album and what’s going in it!!!!!! (Right? RIGHT?).

Anyway, let’s go back a few weeks because some other things happened on August. He was at the studio a few more times. Or it was suggested that he was there. On the 17th and the 18th. (Why was it so time-pressing to be at the studio instead of rehearsing for the festival? There was no studio at all on the documentary. Which makes sense, but again, then why?).

On the day of the festival we got another mention of Faith in The Future that made me feel part of a cult ngl. The words were flashing on the screen for less than a second. Okay.

And then he tweeted those words again after watching the livestream/documentary on the 4th of September (x). This is what makes me suspect it's either the name of the album or of the single.

On the same day, we got some interesting quotes about LT2 on the documentary.

“Soon I’ll have to think about me second album, which in my head I’ll get the tour out of the way and then I’ll address that. So, I hadn’t really given it much thought, to be honest”.

“When every day is the same is hard to feel creative and it’s hard to have any kind of proper inspiration”.

“As season started to come back, I started writing again and it was great and some of these songs turned out alright”.

And I think this is it. I might be overlooking some important details but that’s what we know and what we don’t know.

So. Conclusions. That’s what you missed on Glee. I do believe the album is, if not mostly done, partially there. And yes, this post is pointless and never-ending but it’s all in here if you need to tell Louis “Hey, you said this, mate”.

Complex: There’s been high profile couples in history: Justin and Britney, Jay and Beyoncé. Jay and Beyoncé kind of kept it private. Everyone knew they were together, but they kept it quiet. Even with the kid, they kept it so under wraps. Do you learn anything from those relationships? And do you guys talk about that?

JB: Yeah. I mean, for me, it’s like, there’s no way to hide it completely, because then it would be unfair for us. Then, we’re not even able to have a relationship. It’s like, “You take this car, and I’ll take this car, and then we’ll meet up at the spot. Then, you go in this door, I’ll go in this door. We’ll end up crossing ways. You get back in this car. We’ll cross over, do a James Bond. You go through the kitchen. I’ll go through the back area. Then we’ll meet in the dressing room and see each other.” At that point, it’s like, it’s not even a relationship. You’re just hiding from everyone. That’s unfair and unhealthy, man.

UsWeekly releases a special edition of their magazine featuring Justin and exclusive photos/interviews titled Inside My World: Justin Bieber. He's questioned about Selena during his interview and mentions recently gifting her a diamond bracelet:

Justin: I dunno! She just carries herself in a very elegant way. And my family loves her, which is usually hard because my mom’s really picky. My mom wants, you know, a good Christian girl with good manners.

Justin sits down with Sunday Times for an interview and reveals when news of his “love child” with Mariah Yeater broke, Selena called him right away. Justin also revealed that he wrote a song dedicated to Selena titled 'Be Alright.'

“She was like, ‘Do you see what they’re saying on the internet?’ I was like ‘Yeah.’ She was, like, ‘So…’ I was, like ‘No, it’s not true’. ‘Okay, thank you, bye!’ That was it, she trusts me."

“I’m going to call my girlfriend.” So he does, reaching Selena on the Florida set of her new film Spring Breakers.

“Whats up baby? I can’t stop thinking about you… I said I can’t stop thinking about you. That’s all. Yes, so, um, I gotta do this interview but I just wanted to call and hear your voice really quickly… Okay, I love you. Okay bye.”

Skype and FaceTime keep them connected, he says.

“Ten years ago, or even five years, long distance relationships were much harder. Now you see each other anytime you want!”

Selena and Justin are photographed out for a lunch date at Benihana in Sherman Oaks. Afterwards the two snuck out the back door hand-in-hand. Selena then went her own way as she cruised to a nearby 76 gas station in Encino to fill her Ford Escape

May 27th:

Selena and Justin were strolling an outdoor mall in Calabasas when paparazzi began harassing them as they were trying to leave. According to witnesses (and photos taken) this photographer was so aggressive that he even blocked Justin's car, and was said to be rudely harassing Selena "about the herpes (coldsore) on her lip" while trying to capture a photo of her. After they began harassing Selena, Justin got out of his car and went to smack the camera from his hands and him and the photographer both fell off the curb.

The photographer was taken away by ambulance AND filed a police report that named Justin as the culprit. The Los Angles County Sheriff's office is investigating and say they will talk to Justin.

One of the girls who supposedly was there shared this:

"long story short; the paps were blocking his car and wouldnt move, he got mad after asking them to move, justin tried to knock their camera, the pap and justin both fell off the curb, he lost his shoe and hat while fighting him, selena and justin left and came back because selena lost her phone, and the paps would not get out of her face, and then they left and now the paps are trying to get money from the whole thing"

Another girl that was allegedly there as a witness had nearly the exact same story as above, except in addition she added the paparazzi were rudely asking Selena "about the herpes on her lip," and that's when and why Justin knocked his camera.

Detectives want to interview Justin and Selena after a photographer claims he was attacked by Justin at a Calabasas shopping mall Sunday, but authorities continue to seek additional witnesses.

In a statement released Tuesday, the Sheriff's Department said the investigation was continuing and that detectives "are planning to interview Mr. Bieber." Law enforcement sources said Selena is among the witnesses detectives would like to talk to. Detectives are investigating claims by the photographer that Justin struck him after he snapped photographs of Selena at the Commons at Calabasas Shopping Center.

The photographer complained of pain and was taken by the Los Angeles County Fire Department to a hospital, where he was treated and released, officials said. The sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was ongoing, stressed that the probe was in its early stages.

Selena’s photoshoot and interview for her Elle cover is released where she briefly mentions Justin renting out LA's Staples Center for a private screening of Titanic:

"If I'll share anything with you, it's that he really is a hopeless romantic. I had just mentioned it in the car - all I said is that I really want to see Titanic again, and then."

June 11th:

Justin joined Selena's mom and step-dad at the Right to Laugh event hosted by the Alliance for Children's Rights at the Avalon in Hollywood. Selena's mom Mandy, a huge supporter of the organization, purchased an entire table to support the cause, and invited Justin to accompany her family.

"Selena and Justin sat side-by-side," a source tells PEOPLE.

"They were laughing and smiling the whole evening. They were being very low-key and gracious as to not take away any attention from the cause."

June 15th:

Justin officially releases his third studio album Believe and many of the album's songs are inspired by Selena and their relationship, including Be Alright, a song about their long distance relationship, that Justin wrote by himself:

June 28th:

Justin cut short a pre-taped interview with U.S. radio show Mojo in the Morning after the host compared him to Justin Timberlake and quizzed him about a potential romance between his mother and One Direction's Harry Styles.

Thomas Carballo, the host of the show, was in the middle of a phone chat with Justin when he (rightfully so) took offence at his line of questioning - and hung up.

The 10-minute interview got off to a bad start when Carballo told Justin he thought he was Timberlake the first time he heard him.

Justin said, "That's funny because our voices sound nothing alike... Saying I sound like somebody else is definitely not a compliment."

Justin eased up when talking about his new song Maria, which was inspired by the woman who falsely claimed he was the father of her baby last year, but he lost his cool when Carballo got personal and asked if he was worried about Harry Styles falling for his mum.

The DJ said, "Do you worry about Harry around your mum, since he likes older women?"

Clearly upset, Justin then mumbled something about Carballo's mother and, as the radio presenter explained his mum was dead, Justin had already hung up the phone.

A record company representative then tried to convince the DJ that Justin's phone had cut off, explaining, "I can't get him. He's in a really s**tty area."

She later revealed Justin was "really upset" with the questions, adding, "He probably won't be calling back."

❣️ Lovely Writer special EP - I was living for the supernatural theme and I loved that they decided to go into a different direction for the final installment of the show. I miss them so much 🥺

❣️ IPYTM - Despite everything I really liked it. I obv hated the story around the breakup but I liked the way it was executed. Jai’s actions were more than questionable but I think he’s a fascinating character and I respect them so much for choosing a path like this.

❣️ Nitiman - Idk why but they all stole my heart lol. Bbomb and Jin are the best and it’s my guilty pleasure of the summer for sure lol. 

❣️ FUTS - this show was super chaotic and for the first time I had the aggressive feeling of straight up being too old for this sh*t lmao. Gmmtv really outdid themselves in terms of silliness lol. It took me a while to get into it but I eventually warmed up to it and Mork and Pi grew on me so much! They’re absolutely adorable; especially episode 10 was pure bliss; also the finale was better than I expected!!! It was a fun ride for sure <3

👎🏻 Y-Destiny - This show has been a disappointment. PuthKaeng were a highlight and the MasukTeeJia story is not bad either (also the best one for sure) but the rest was just straight up awful. So many stories were super strange & way too cliché and most of the acting is not good. Which is a shame because the concept of the show is actually not bad; but sadly the execution is very poor.
