ok phantom eng. ver. is definitely more aligned with the christine pov especially with the line “the puppeteer sings” like that’s DEFINITELY the phantom right there 👀 like !!!

also yangyang opening with “i’m way too close to the edge / who’s the monster under my bed” + hendery with “six feet under / world shakes like thunder”

BOOM absolutely magic. perfect opening. very phantom. we have established the gothic setting (storm = “thunder”), associated sleep and death (“under my bed” leading into “six feet under”), AND placed an orphic border/boundary (“the edge”). :)

further points:

hendery with “look who’s watching me through the window” and the phantom stalks / spies on christine right lol

AND THEN HE FOLLOWS tHAT UP WITH: “makes me wonder / did i move down under” YEAH MOVE WHERE? HELL PERHAPS? VERY NICE VERy NICE I DIG IT

xiaojun’s “scared of the path that i’ll choose” → very nice very nice... christine’s conflict is a choice: whether or not to follow the phantom

“this time it’s game over / move the mask surrender” → yes so true that is so “the point of no return” very awesome

“your love’s so dangerous” → EXACTLY

“standing in the dark / only i can see the truth” → very real very christine she CAN see the Truth that is awesome and so real

“the light still shines inside of you” → well this certainly feels like christine being convicted (by?) of the phantom’s humanity/compassion 👀

when yangyang says “ordinary eyes” wOW SO ORPHIC. YOU TELL EM. rene magritte’s “the false mirror.” exactly.

yangyang’s “ready for the power the control / breaking off reality the hold” UM  OK SO GOTHIC. LOVE IT. IM ALSO AFrAID (+ “taking back the rest of me / like the way ahead of me” hm perhaps orphic if i squint (i am squinting))

ok but then ten whips out the line “my soul gaining control / over you” but isn’t that very phantom-ish????? i do not know honestly.. 😭
