I love Blade
who else here loves Blade
#bring back blade#now the thing is I realise they ARE bringing back blade#and I look forward to seeing what they do with him#I'm sure Mahershala Ali is going to do a very good job#but I have a particular personal affection for the first Blade movie with Wesley Snipes#this movie killed my family's TV set#it literally blew up well at least there was a bang and a burning smell and some smoke while my father was watching Blade#he was SO IMPRESSED AND EXCITED#(he had been wanting to get a new TV for a while but couldn't justify it while the old one lived)#a movie that can kill an entire TV#not a modern punk-ass bitch LCD TV#a CRT#is a movie worth your attention#also I spent my whole first viewing of the movie under the impression that the character Dragonetti#was called Dragon Eddie#like a mob guy vampire might be#don't try to tell me the vampires aren't mobbed up and vice versa they work hand in glove#I have no authority whatsoever to make this pronouncement but I'll say this#the most important works of vampire media in my lifetime are Bram Stoker's Dracula ‚ Blade and The Lost Boys#followed by What We Do In The Shadows which would simply not exist without the others#you heard what I said Interview With the Vampire sit the fuck down
