Like. You're welcome to sit here and cope out of your fucking mind to make Leon out to be a sad orphaned introvert who would never flirt with someone already in an established relationship all you want but that still doesn't make a single thing in that statement to be true.

And for so many people to pass it off as fact and regurgitate the same idealized bullshit over and over and over and over until it becomes universal fanon makes it clear that nobody's actually interested in the real Leon.

#he's SO interesting i love studying him like a bug #i love delving into his loneliness and his perception of the impracticality of longevity in relationships #through him self-sabotaging by pursuing emotionally unavailable women #the extent of both causing him to make questionable decisions like flirting with shen mei #that feeling of wanted to be needed.. to be loved.. fleetingly #think sleep token's ascensionism #the more morally ambiguous or inept a character's decisions are #the more emotionally charged you can assume they are if you peeled back the veil a bit #for leon to be such a morally upstanding character who sucks at relationships #who has a tendency to take his shit out on others when he burns out #the duality of a man so clearly extroverted and comfortable around others who self-isolates when he's hurting most #- these things speak volumes about who he is as a person #where his priorities lie vs where they don't #what happens when he reaches his breaking point etc #an extremely raw and inherently human level of desperation we've all felt to a degree #like. there's so much to take away from what is given.#but people would rather be like #leon's such a soft gentle catholic orphan who coincidentally shares all my own interests and is without flaw <3
