Photo
I visited the Henry Cartier-Bresson ‘India in Fullframe’ exhibit at the Rubin museum. This black and white project encompassed life in India in the mid-20th century and, and emotional portrayals of monumental moments such as Gahndi’s death and funeral. This floor is vast, and while I look at the photos, it feels as though the individual is not only looking at me, but staring, trying to tell me something. Every photograph in his project is displayed on a light gray wall, with every photo placed with an even amount of space between it and another. The gray on the walls seem as thought they are almost white, causing the conrtrast of the black in every image to stand out. A monontone tune is played in the background on this floor, and the mood seems a mysterious as well as unsettling.
Two pieces stood out to me immediatly. The first encompasses individuals at Gahndi’s funeral. A mass of men and women are hurled together, trying to grasp a decent view of the funeral. A couple of hands are outstretched with fingers splayed wide as though they are reaching for something. Expressions of distress occupy almost every face in the moment he captured. I can tell that the sun is shining brightly, causing many of the men and women to squint. Maybe this is why they seem in distress, becasue they are not able to make out any action that is happening during the funeral, or because they are mourning for him.
The second photo that stood out to me portrays a man resting in a busy setting, which is in fact busy because of the art surrounding him. This piece portrays a man who is a photographer that Cartuer caaptured sleeiping in front of another world it seems. The tapestry stands in stark contrast to the sleeping individual’s reality. The man seems to posess very few valubles, one being his camera perched on the tripod, and a couple of other miscseleneous objects. For some reason this camera seems like a very important device in this man’s life. The subject appears as though he is in a different dimmension because of how vivid the the tapestry appears. The goal of Cartier seemed to be to caputre the detail in the setting of the subject rather than his expression becasue of the emhpasis the tapestry brings to the photo. It is interesting that the relaxed body language of the subject is near some regal, elaborate place. It seems as though this man could get up and walk into a whole other world, a fariytale, yet is caught in his harsh reality. The immense detail also constrasts next to the drab, mute brick wall.
These photos pose as a statment to the world today. One of the first things that I thought of were that the setting in India during the 1950′s and 60′s is so different than the setting of some areas in the United States during this time period. Life was much more difficult for individuals in these photos, and the same exists today. The world is so much larger than the United States, and Cartier’s work puts a lot of what I feel is important in my day to day life into a new perspective…

Ima need u to recommend thing to watch cause I’ve only seen Pablo as pornstache LMAO and he’s so fine everytime you’ve posted him on my feed 🤭
Oh! Yess! Absolutely! Let's do this!
A lot of the time, Pablo plays "bad" guys because of his size. But since when does that stop us? Lol. I've seen many of his films, but a lot of the time he plays a very small part lol.
1. Den of Thieves
2. Halo (this one gets hate for not being close to the games, and I respect that, but I, as a non game player, enjoy the show and will not take criticism)
3. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
4. Lorelei
5. Big Bear
6. Defending Jacob
7. First Man
He's in these a good bit. Except for First Man. His part is much smaller in that one than the others. Defending Jacob is also a little bit of a smaller part!
Also, wanna give a right shoutout to @mrssylargray always coming through with some of the best gifs ever! Thank you to @schreiberpablo and @ncytiri as well!
But yes! These are my recs! Pleaseeeee come to me and scream if you want about Pablo, please. I need it!

For the ‘Send Me A Character Post’, tell me why you love Frank Castle and Ray Merriman! 🤭
Lore! My beloved! Thank you for sending this in. This is probably going to be too long. So I guess just buckle in.
Why do I love Frank Castle? I love Frank because in certain ways, I feel as if I relate to him. That would be extremely hard to explain, so I won't go into that too much.
He always seems to go out of his way to protect the people he cares about. I mean, we see him multiple times willing to die to ensure the livelihood of someone he cares about. While that is often infuriating as someone who hates watching characters I like die. That aspect about Frank is admirable. I crave that kind of commitment from someone.
There always feels like there's this sense of urgency in Frank that I often don't see in other characters. This one is hard to explain. I just feel like he's the type to just do it.
I also love seeing the certain softness he has with women in his life. I'm such a sucker for that it's embarrassing.
There aren't enough words to say about Frank, and I don't think I'll ever have them.
When it comes to Ray Merrimen. I love him for all the wrong reasons. They'll make you laugh for sure 😂.
Pablo Schreiber has everything to do with my love for Ray. I'm pretty certain I wouldn't love him as much as I do if it weren't for him.
But I also feel like there's this 'i can fix him' aspect to him that I like.
But let's be honest, he's big, tall, and has broad shoulders. Why wouldn't I of ALL people love Ray Merrimen? That fucking gun range scene still to this day KILLS ME. Don't get me started.
I don't have as many "sweet" things to say about Ray. It's allllll he's hot for me. He's an interesting character, to say the least, though.
