Rant incoming... Because I don’t understand some lies I read at all?
I really don’t like spending time on this kinda of discourse so I will keep this the shortest as I can...
Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, MHA, Bleach (or any other popular shounen if you will) are NOT sexist they are battle mangas and guess what they are.. SHOUNENS? Why some people go all their way to accuse mangakas, CREATORS to be sexist just for the solely reason they didn’t met your very specific expectations and your every single “demand”?
No I am very tired, because it makes little to no sense, it reminds me of high school when some friends of mine would complain about shoujo having romance? and mostly focusing on female characters? FOR REAL it’s the same energy and makes no sense now I won’t break down each non sense I have to heard or read because I am not into discussion but this is something I need to speak my mind on (btw I won’t answer replies if you wanna say something my ask is open but you know wtv)
first I am gonna adress Kishimoto because he is so kind nice and humble and he does not deserve this nonsense he is a good author with flaws OBVIOUSLY but in general he is good! I am tired and it became old already Kishimoto is really not sexist stop making accusations without evidence (where did you take he hate women? this has no basis he never showed disrespect ever), the biggest flaw from Kishi in my point of view is not giving other characters, other than Naruto and Sasuke, much focus and this includes the female characters lets say Ino for example gurl... I respect her SO MUCH and everytime someone make a complain about her I laugh because it is just about natural things or perks on her personality which makes her HUMAN I think she is a very natural and compelling character I did reblog some posts that highlight her very greatness and keep in mind she is a side characters! her team for me is more interesting than many main teams  ~personal taste blabla~ also same for Tsunade, this woman is a beast she is so much the figure of respect in Naruto and I, as a woman, find her very VERY excelent her story and her highlight moments were short but so impactful even her romance with Dan made few pages was great (same for Ino and Sai! what a 1000/10 couple and both are so good characters...) her solution was well written she is strong without “magical eyes” or beasts... Now my main problem with Kishimoto is on a matter of focus, now I wanna thank the Hinata and Sakura fans because they already defend these amazing ladies so much so I will save it from now but for me Hinata and Sakura are the shape and soul of Konoha future, hope and peace too! Just as much as their husbands!
Let’s go for Bleach now, Tite Kubo might be a little interesting, I appreciate that he defends his work so much because if you dislike something so much just write your own thing right? every author should just say this ~ lol his female characters ARE very strong and have a lot of focus, Rukia and Orihime were more remarkable (FOR ME, as a reader anyone is free to feel different in this matter) than Ichigo and other male characters I think only Aizen have the same love (from me) lmao but enough this lets jump to the part where people mess up, you can dislike a character and a manga as much as you want but don’t lie the popular statement of “Orihime is useless only says kurosaki kun!1″ is so annoying and wrong I won’t even... I mean Orihime literally have one of the greatest powers in the series even freaking AIZEN took interest on her powers?? Why?? Even?? Disregard?? That?? it is so hate for the sake of hate. And we all know how strong many female characters on Bleach are but it’s so fun how all this hate is driven to Orihime and in the end all the female characters get bashed even tho none of them are weak, this is tiresome (and the fandom can kinda be contradictory here)
about Dragon Ball oh boy, this one tires me A LOT I srsly feel tired just typing rn, we have freakin BULMA her presence alone in the universe of the manga is even more than relevant, yeah she starts funny (I have no problem with her earlier character) but she matured and she became even better but lets never forget how she was always relevant?! Her strenght relies on being the most realiable and efficient character in the entire series rather than punch power super explosions ~~ etc she is just a fearless, independent, smartest (and don’t forget also the cutest! ~lmao i love her~) character in the entire series, and we have Android 18 a extremely strong character, ChiChi is a very strong woman she CHOSE TO BE A MOTHER AND A HOUSEWIFE btw this applies to all animes or media... And don’t even get me start on Videl... People pretend to be accepting but be judgin female character just for being a mother and staying home like? srsly? this is not the only thing they do! Videl and ChiChi are STRONG
BEING A HOUSEWIFE AND MOTHER ARE NOT WEAKNESS AT ALL and thats the end of story, all people who put this trait down are just so zzzZzzZZ more of the same average complainer...
anyways, I will just leave it here, btw I am not saying you should love every manga every character hell I have dropped many mangas and animes because they didn’t suited me and I didn’t spend my time hating on them... I am saying that at least keep this honest! Don’t lie, don’t put fingers accusing author of this and that just because it didn’t specific meet your very expectations okay?
if you dislike the way something is done or written you can always read/watch something else! lucky us to have so many things to choose!

What’s the deal with Worick’s behavior? Does he have a plan?
Tumblr media
This is going to be a long post, so please bear with me. First I’ll talk about why I think the Worick we know (and like) is still in there. Then about what his plan may be. Next, about why everyone is confused by his actions. And lastly, some predictions about what may happen next.
Let me start by saying that, despite what he says, I don’t think he wants to save himself and let others perish. He’s not on Corsica’s side. But, I also think he’s only partially lying to them.
1. Why Worick hasn’t changed
I need to clarify what I mean by this. Of course all characters have changed with everything that has been happening. Nic is more emotive, and finally open about his affection for Alex. (Benriya is my One True Family, so I’m happy Alex’s efforts to get close to Nic finally got to him. You belong with them, Al-chan.) Alex has also changed due to having to decide between abandoning the Benriya (after finding the body) and saving her life so she can look for her brother. Worick, too, has changed, or else we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Knowing that a second destruction (similar to 20 years ago) is coming, that Daniel has left, and that Daniel is likely involved with both destructions, made him finally snap. Furthermore, killing Miles, who was like the good father figure Worick never had, probably broke something within him too. So, I wouldn’t dare to say any character in Gangsta is stable, mentally or emotionally, right now.
What I mean, is that at his core he’s still good old Worick. As we see in the beginning of chapter 43 during his flashback with Mama, he started out as an idealistic kid, who wanted to help the twilights. But the harsh reality turned him nihilistic in the end. Yet, he still wants to help the weak. His relationship with twilights is complicated, but he wants for twilights to be treated fairly. And he wants to protect the people he cares for, be them twilights or normals. I think the core of his personality hasn’t changed. Here’s why.
Miles doesn’t seem to have struggled. Worick isn’t a twilight, or an expert with cold weapons. To get a clean cut, he would have needed Miles to stay very still. Could be that Miles was drugged. However, there is no sign of any fight or struggle in the apartment that Alex finds (end of chapter 43). And Miles is a big strong guy (he looks bara lol). Worick being in a hurry, makes it unlikely he took his time to tidy up. What this all means, is that Miles didn’t struggle, because he understood why his sacrifice was needed. He let Worick kill him, and may have taken drugs to ease the pain.
Same chapter, Worick hesitates to hug Mama back. To me, that’s because he knows he’s lying to her; lying to a woman he cares for and is in debt to. (If Miles is his father figure, Mama is his mother figure.) Also the entire scene with those two is heartbreaking. I don’t think any character fully understands Worick, but I believe Mama does to a larger extent than most. Which is why he won’t put a pretense in front of her. He’s just a broken little kid in front of her. The reason he doesn’t return the hug right away, is not because he doesn’t want to be comforted. It’s that he knows he doesn’t deserve her comfort and love, because he’s about to betray her trust. That is, the part about joining the Corsicas so he doesn’t die is BS. Also, the face the readers get to see once Mama turns her back. In a span of hours, Worick murdered Miles (who saw him like a son), and betrayed Mama (thanks to whom he was able to survive when first coming to Ergastulum). He’s a broken man by now, and he really didn’t want to do any of this.
During his interaction with Mama, there’s also the infamous comment about Veronica, that he doesn't need her anymore (end of chapter 41). Which raises the question of why he needed her in the first place. But we don’t have enough information to speculate at this point. I don’t think he meant it out of malice, or that he suddenly doesn’t care about Veronica anymore. I can see three possibilities (and they could all apply). He may have said it as a response to why he’s there. Mama thinks Worick is there to make sure Veronica is okay, with all the commotion going on. So he’s clarifying he’s not there for Veronica, but to gift Miles’ head, and win Corsica’s favor. He may have said it to persuade Mama that he’s serious about joining the Corsicas, and as a consequence abandoning the twilights. If that’s the case, Worick is doing a bad job at lying to Mama. She knows he still cares about Veronica, which is why Mama is still hiding her. This brings me back to the point that I think he’s not exactly lying to the Corsicas (more on this when I get to what his plan is). So, while Mama knows Worick is lying about Veronica, she senses he is not lying about joining the Corsicas. So, she’ll vouch for her precious “son”. The third possibility is to consider that Worick is a very rational/objective person. And he’ll be straightforward about it. Think about the part where he tells Loretta’s dad that Marco can’t be trusted to protect the Cristianos. He doesn’t mean it out of malice or hate for Marco. But based on what he has seen and knows about Marco, that’s the conclusion he reached. Similarly to not needing Veronica anymore. He’s joining the Corsicas now, so he literally doesn’t need her anymore. It’s the plain truth. That doesn’t mean he has no feelings for her. It’s just means that whatever Worick says a lot of times, we must take it as detached from his personal feelings on the topic.
He warns Alex to get out. While he’s in a rush to get to Mama’s place with Miles’ head, he finds time to put money out for Alex. He took time to be practical about how she needs money to sustain herself while she’s running away or looking for her brother. I made an entire post about how Worick is biased towards women, and why that same kindness doesn’t extend to Nic (who’s a man). That aside, he may also think that Alex has a chance of changing her life; while he and Nic are in too deep. I think scratching out the “Take care” part is also important. It’s not because Worick is someone who’s uncomfortable showing feelings. In fact, he is fine with showing emotions or being playful even around male characters. It’s because he wants Alex to hate him, or at least detach herself from him. So that she will be willing to only think about herself, and run away. He’s fine with appearing like an asshole, or psychotic, if that’s what it takes for Alex to save herself. (Update: Murdering Miles in the apartment made it easier so no one would see. But also was a calculated move so Alex would find the body, and be terrified. He's conveying to her that he's someone she should stay away from, because he just killed an ally.)
He actually still cares about Nic. The relationship between the two is probably the most complicated one in Gangsta. However, I will argue that there is evidence that Worick is trying to save Nic, if possible. I’ll get more into this in the second part, when I talk about how Nic fits into his plan. So what’s the evidence? Worick is acting alone, physically separating himself from Nic. Nic may or may not know about his plan to kill Miles (more in the second part). Yet, as far as everyone is concerned, Nic didn’t help in killing Miles. Miles’ head is thrown into a public space, with a clear identifier that Storage (Worick) did it. This leads the Guild to get into action. Because Worick broke the taboo, they have to sequestrate Nic. The city is under quarantine, so Nic will have to fight anyways. However, he’s safer with the Guild, than he would be with Worick, or alone and waiting for his master. After winning Corsica’s favor, the commotion with Miles’ head is Worick’s plan of getting Nic to a safer place (the Guild), and perhaps providing a hint for the Guild and everyone else. That is, whatever is happening is connected to the Monroes, since Miles is from the Monroe family.
But why would he want to be separated from Nic? What about the orders he gave Nic, as Nic mentions to Theo? Why save Nic in such a roundabout way, when he could have just told Nic to stay at the Guild? Time to get into it.
2. What is Worick’s plan?
We have two major hints to go by. In chapter 39, Worick is talking about how no one will save Ergastulum, because it’s a twilight prison. No one cares if twilights die. Since no one from the outside will interfere, the government will deal as they please with the situation. Based on what happened 20 years ago, a terrible fate awaits both normals and twilights in the city. So Worick says he’ll just have to get in the way. Hint 2 comes at the end of chapter 49, when Uranos asks what Worick wishes. Worick’s answer: “wholesome slaughter”. And the mangaka’s side note: “the truth”. In some translations it was “it’s not a lie”. Since it is Kohske’s note, the hint becomes more of a fact. Worick wants wholesome slaughter. But of whom?
Here’s what both Worick and the readers know. Corsica brought the destroyers to the city, so it’s likely they are the big player in the destruction to come. Delico shot Yang, so there’s something off with Daniel. Daniel is also taking a “break”. In Worick’s head that means he either abandoned them, or betrayed them and could be working with the Corsicas. It’s also highly likely Daniel was involved with the first destruction. With Daniel gone the Monroes are done for. So what is the logical thing to do?
Here’s what I think Worick has planned for. Because Corsicas are the major player in the destruction to come, get into their den to learn/discover their secret plan. Use Mama to vouch for him in order to win Corsica’s favor. Despite Mama seeing him as a son, he can’t just ask her to do so out of kindness. So Worick needs to kill Miles, to show to Mama (and as an extension to the Corsicas) how far he is willing to go to get on their good side. It’s also a symbolic gesture that he is done with the Monroes, since it is known that he and the Monroe family have history. Furthermore, killing Miles will make the Corsicas not suspect that Worick thinks/knows Daniel has betrayed him. Basically, Worick is trying to convey the following narrative to the Corsicas: “I don’t know where Daniel Monroe is, probably kidnapped. The balance in the city has crumbled, and I don’t want to die. So I killed the next head of the Monroe family, because I want to join your side now.” There is probably some other reason for Miles’s death, that we will find out soon enough. But I don’t think it will change the fact that Worick really wants to be with the Corsicas.
I also think it’s true that Worick is done with twilights. He doesn’t need Veronica anymore, and he abandoned Nic. In part one, I mentioned that Mama seems to be able to understand Worick better than most people. So she can sense that his desire to join the Corsicas is true, and that he also is willing to part ways with twilights. She probably knows that he still cares about Veronica, and that’s why Mama is still hiding her. Remember how I said I think Worick is not exactly lying, or only partially lying? So while he wants to join the Corsicas, and is done with twilights, he is not on Corsica’s side. I think his end goal is to learn Corsica’s plan, and then try to get in the way. Worick wants to stop the destruction of 20 years ago from happening again. I think it’s safe to assume that in the recent chapters, Worick is testing the waters while at the Corsica den. His friendliness and charm is calculated. He’s getting friendly with Mama’s trusted girl. He seems to be nice to Sig. He’s basically trying to sense who can be a potential ally, and gauge to what extent he can manipulate any of these people. Because Worick truly wants destruction, and Uranos does so too, their interests align well enough, that Worick doesn’t have to keep up a pretense all the time. And if anyone from the Corsicas can read people well, they can’t pick up that Worick is lying, since it’s 90% truth at this point.
So, to recap, what was planned was to join the Corsica’s, learn their plan, test the waters for potential allies, and gauge how best to manipulate these people. Then get in the way, as to prevent the tragedy of 20 years ago. I don’t think Worick has a laid out a plan about how to exactly prevent the tragedy. What will have to be planned along the way? Based on what Corsica’s masterplan is, and how the family members interact with Worick, he will have to come up with his next steps on the spot. This uncertainty is where Nic comes in. Depending on how things go, Worick is aware that there is a good ending, a bad ending, and a very bad ending.
I mentioned in part one, that the commotion with Miles and involving the Guild, was also part of Worick’s plan, to get Nic to a safe place. He wants to save Nic, if possible. But doesn’t this contradict what I said about Worick being done with twilights? No, because here’s the catch: In every ending Worick dies (or at least he hopes to). Worick is on a suicide mission, being aware he could die before seeing his plan to fruition, or during it. The good ending is Worick somehow stopping the tragedy, most of the city is spared, and Nic is spared from being used by Worick.
So why does Worick plan to die? I think the reason is to atone for what he has done to Nic. Both men have hurt each other, but overall Worick has hurt Nic more. By becoming his contractor, he took away Nic’s freedom, and forced Nic into going along with whatever Worick wanted. The moment he becomes the contractor, every possibility for a true friendship between them is gone. When Nic murders Worick’s family, Worick tells him he can only die after he suffers a lot more. I think he said that in a moment of rage (wouldn’t anyone of us?). Even if he meant it at that moment in time, he changed his mind later, and eventually learned to care about Nic. Problem is, while those words didn’t mean what Worick truly felt or feels about Nic, for Nic it was an order. Bound by the contract, and twilight psychology, everything Worick says or does has weight on Nic’s life. Doesn’t matter what Worick does, he’ll keep hurting Nic. While too young to understand back then what being a twilight master meant, Worick knows now.  As he thinks to himself while talking to Delico in the early chapters, if Nic has to live painfully, everyone else has to suffer much more. Aside from the fact of hurting Nic by merely being his contractor, there’s also a possibility of having hurt Nic with regards to Veronica. The bond of the three of them was very deep. I really believe Worick sees his death as the only way to atone for what he has done to Nic.
I think the reason Worick abandoned Nic, and got him to the guild in a roundabout way, is so that Nic wouldn’t go after him. While I do believe Worick cares about Nic, I’m not so sure about what Nic thinks of Worick. I can only be sure he would go after Worick because of the contract. Abandoning Nic was Worick’s way of giving Nic some freedom, and ensuring Nic would be spared in the good ending scenario (basically no Nic crashing in, and trying to save Worick’s life, thus risking his own).
How much does Nic know of Worick’s plan? I don’t remember Worick and Nic interacting before Worick leaves for good. But Nic still says he has orders from his master. So I’m guessing they interacted off-screen, and we’ll eventually find out later. If that’s the case, then Nic probably knows the outline of the plan: infiltrate the Corsicas to prevent the same tragedy from happening again. I don’t think he knew about Worick planning to kill Miles. Nic acted surprised in chapter 51. I’m guessing Worick gave him orders, and Nic was waiting to get into action. Instead, Worick kills off Miles, thus getting the plan to get Nic into the Guild into motion, which Nic didn’t know about. I doubt Nic was expecting Worick to care about him. Nic’s comment about “walking the other side” could be referring to Worick becoming the enemy now, by joining the Corsicas. Or even worse, a traitor to any side. The second cover of chapter 43 has Worick facing the other way from both his friends and the destroyers. I wonder if it’s symbolic for him having turned his back to everyone at this point. Even if Worick manages to save the city, he would be a traitor to the Corsicas, as well as a traitor everyone else that knew him. Since he will probably be dead, there’s no one to vouch about what he truly wanted to do, or what his plan was all along. Also, at this point Nic can guess why Worick killed Miles. It may have something to do with their time at Monroe’s house as well. As for Nic’s comment of his master going to a place he cannot follow, I think he meant it in a literal sense. Worick was planning to go to Corsica’s den, and literally a twilight can’t follow there. Nic could also be thinking that he’s too weak to be of any use to Worick, which is why Worick left him behind.
What about Nic’s orders? One possibility is that the order was something like fight to save the city. In chapter 49, Nic tells Theo the Benriya is on call, and they need to act now, or else the city will suffer like 20 years ago. The more interesting possibility is that Worick left some specific orders to Nic, regarding his plan. In case he ”gets in trouble” too soon with the Corsicas, Nic may have to intervene, so everything falls into place. Which brings me to the bad ending. Worick wants to save Nic, if possible. But it may not be possible. Even if there are no specific orders left for Nic, in order to get his end goal, Worick is aware he may need to use Nic one last time, or even sacrifice Nic. Based on chapter 54, Worick probably fears this may be the direction he has to go with (the part where he thinks about little Nic). If that’s the case, Worick really wants to die, since it’s only fair if Nic dies too. As horrible as it is for him to just have used Nic for most of his life, and having to sacrifice him in the end, I think Worick is having a very utilitarian perspective. It’s okay to sacrifice one twilight, or more, if that means saving many.
So far, good ending means wholesome slaughter of whomever is responsible for the destruction of 20 years ago, as well as those that plan to re-enact it again. Bad ending, is that plus Nic also dying, because of Worick. Now for the very bad ending, the wholesome slaughter of Ergastulum. That is, everyone dies. As horrible as it sounds, I think it’s a possibility Worick is truly considering, if worse comes to worst. Think of whatever is going on with the twilights as a plague. They are all mostly located in one city. Now whatever other human experiments were being done after the destroyers, are also going to come to Ergastulum. Ergastulum is patient zero, for whatever crazy military plague Uranos wants to start. The city is literally quarantined as if it was infected with the plague. So in order to stop all this from spreading, the utilitarian decision may be to sacrifice the city itself and everyone in it. And that could be what Worick wants in the worst case, for the greater good. He doesn’t need anyone, anymore, because all will be burned to the ground.
What has Worick not planned for? By this I mean something he didn’t even consider when thinking of a plan. I mentioned this in a previous post, but I’ll repeat it here again. I think Worick really underestimated how dangerous  Uranos’ irrational or emotional side truly is. While Daniel thinks Uranos being guided by his emotions a lot is a weakness, it can really be a strength if the person you are playing against is very logical. And Worick is a very logical man. Imagine if him trying to outsmart the Corsicas is like playing a chess game. If two people are both playing logically, the smarter one will win. But what happens if one person flips the board? You can’t predict for it and at that point it stops being a game of chess. Uranos’ crazy racist ass will be a thorn in Worick’s side when it comes to realizing his plan. You can’t predict his decisions. And with the man being irrational, there’s no way to get to him. So, I’m predicting a lot of impediments will come from Uranos’ irrationality.
3. Why is everyone confused by Worick’s behavior?
Well, aside from Worick going from friendly to yandere in the span of one chapter. I think it’s because all the main characters suddenly realized that they don’t really know what goes on in Worick’s head. Bernardo is right to point out that no one really knows much about Worick, aside from what he shows to others. Maybe it’s no coincidence that Bernardo is the one to notice it, since he has to be cautious about Worick joining the Corsicas, but he probably finds himself drawn to him. No wonder, since it’s part of Worick’s job to make people crush on him. Aside from people that are sexually attracted to him, Worick is just good at making everyone feel at ease around him. Whatever charm he has on people, it makes anyone believe they are intimate (of any sort) with him. If we think back to Alex’s attempts at getting close to Nic, it was because she felt Nic was uncomfortable around her. The unease around Nic made her want to get to know Nic more. It’s the unease people feel, that makes them try to know other people. But if you’re just at ease with someone all the time, would you even consider digging deeper? I’m guessing everyone that felt close to Worick, suddenly realized they were under his charm, but never truly close to him. Worick’s ability to draw people to him, works against him as well. There illusion of intimacy is not intimacy itself. There hasn’t been a character in Gangsta so far that has been emotionally intimately close with Worick. In fact, Nic sees Theo more of a friend than he sees Worick. Nic’s favorite person is Nina. Suddenly we learn Nic and Worick aren’t friends after all, they’re just familiars. I think even fans tend not to notice how truly lonely Worick is, since he’s always surrounded by women that lust after him. I think Worick is aware of how he’s not able to be truly intimate with someone. Which is probably why he acts like he’s expendable; no one needs him in a significant way.
Worick also tends to impose his worldview onto others, never truly opening up to anyone. Think about the time he first meets Nic. Worick is unhappy with his life, so he wonders why Nic could be fine with the way things are (”Don’t you ever want to run away?”). He hates his father, and sees that Nic’s father also tends to abuse the kid from time to time. So Worick concludes Nic must also hate his dad, never ever wondering if the relationship between Nic and Gaston was more nuanced. He’s also surprised Nic is sad about his dad leaving, since objectively speaking Nic would have an easier life growing up with Worick. Worick goes and makes the decision to buy Nic from the mercenaries without even thinking of asking Nic. Of course, in his logical mind, that is the best solution for Nic. But what’s best for people, it’s not always what makes them happy. So Worick fucks up, and now he’s Nic’s master, and that put a wall between their friendship. Even as adults, as depressing as it is to know that Nic thinks twilights are doomed, he’s content with just living his life. While Worick always had this idealistic side to him, that he had to save the twilights, because it’s the right thing to do. When it comes to Alex, Worick is still thinking what is best for her: find her family, send her away, because it’s too dangerous in Ergastulum. As we learn later, Alex only wanted a place to belong to, and was hoping she finally found a place to call home, with Nic and Worick. Any decision Worick makes, he doesn’t even consider asking the people he cares for about what they truly want. Even in deciding to sacrifice himself, so hopefully Nic and Alex won’t have to, he doesn’t even consider involving them into the decision. If he did, he would know that it wasn’t what Alex or Nic want. That they do care, even Nic, to some extent. He could finally work towards being close to someone for the first time in his life. But Worick goes off assuming he’s not needed, and leaves the rest of the Benriya hurt and confused. I really do hope that despite how Gangsta ends, Worick gets to have a heart to heart talk with the current Benriya, or Veronica. Don’t die in solitude, Worick.
4. Predictions
I already touched on Uranos being a major problem due to his irrationality. Worick should be fine for a while, since Mama is vouching for him. He’ll end up meeting Emilio, since Emilio is with the destroyers, who are in the Corsica den. Probably how Emilio learns that his sister Alex is well and in town. Emilio will be the catalyst to get Worick closer to the destroyers, at least Sig and Beretta. Because he’s a ladies man, but also because Beretta seems to be showing signs of being tired with Striker. If he interacts with Beretta it should be interesting, since she thinks men are useless now. I wish Emilio would just run to Alex after finding out she’s alive, but it won’t be that easy. Worick doesn’t know where Alex is, or if she left the city. I also think Bernardo will be of some relevance from the Corsica family, since Kohske singled him out to interact with Worick. He may also have a high chance of defecting. Bernardo seems to be drawn to interesting or charismatic people. He was very excited when Worick joined them, then turned cautious, then excited again by seeing Worick’s memory ability at play. If the guy is in for whatever brings the greatest excitement or entertainment to his life, he may let things slide (if he finds out anything about Worick) just to see where it goes.
