I def believe that. EEAAO is a very ambitious film and it's the type of project not really suited for premiere but where there's a will post-production folks find a way.

#gonna have to see if the editors uploaded this to the blue collar post collective cause I NEED to see sequence timeline in higher resolution #everything everywhere all at once #assistant editor life #film editing #nerding out #love it when editors share their timelines #it is impressive the film was cut on premier but #not for the reasons most post-pro people think makes it impressive #in the avid vs premiere debate i pretty much disagree with everyone in post #each NLE (except for FCP) has itself strengths and weaknesses #both are good at different kinds of projects #the main advantage avid absolutely has over premiere comes at the finishing stage #most online facilities (nothing to do with internet btw) are geared for avid and #the old timers doing that work are accustomed to the tried and true avid workflow #And the online phase can be quite complicated on a technical level so most post folks prefer to stick with what they KNOW works #especially since deadlines can be very tight at that stage #no one cares about Final Cut Pro because they tried to reinvent the wheel and no one asked for that #and that's my nerdy AE info dump no one asked for
