This is a very niche question but has anyone had any luck converting vintage sewing machines produced for the UK market to run on North American power? I recently inherited a 1950s Singer that requires a higher voltage than I can provide
#there's a shop like 2 hours away that services singer machines (not sure if they do vintage) so I'll obviously ask them too#but I thought why not ask the historical textile people too#the machine came with a (possibly diy) US style plug and seems to be in working order aside from the voltage thing#textiles#sewing#historical sewing#antiques
