Love how Devra Bloodaxe's necklace mimics those of the Maasai. Keep in mind there are those worn to adorn warriors, and what better symbolism is there for a revolutionary strategist and leader than a warrior necklace? 🔥
#immediately saw the Maa style in the necklace#as well as the face paint#like the Maa red ocre for warriors prepared for battle#devra bloodaxe#rebel moon#the maasai

Ever seen anything like this? Watching these bulls for long periods is fascinating. Their behaviour is part of complex social structures that serve many purposes. They spar aggressively to establish dominance, determine hierarchy and test each other’s strength and skill. After sparring, they embrace as a way to strengthen their social bonds. It demonstrates that the sparring wasn’t meant to cause harm but part of their natural interaction. It helps maintain peace and cohesion in the group. The trunk intertwining is a sign of a mutual respect. If one bull emerges more dominant, the act of embracing acknowledges the other’s strength and reinforces the social structure without escalating aggression. So fascinating and utterly captivating.

Earlier this month, our team received word from Big Life Foundation about a lion caught in a snare. The trapped lion was spotted thanks to footage from a camera trap at a waterhole at Great Plains Ol Donyo Lodge in the Chyulu Hills.
The teams could identify from the video footage that the lion was a young male. One of our previous Guardians, Mokoi (who now works for Big Life Foundation as a lion tracker) immediately began tracking the lion on foot, helping our monitoring team to locate the lion with precision.
[…] The rescue went smoothly. The lion was sedated, allowing the teams to safely remove the snare and treat his wound. Our team identified him as the son of Olamaana, naming him Lewaya - meaning "He of the wire." After his release, Lewaya rejoined his father, Olamaana.
