I'm responding to this message MONTHS LATER I'M SORRY!! I will GLADLY tell you more about TLOOW Solanum! Like I said before, this version of Solanum is very much inspired by Zelda in "Spirit Tracks", both design and personality wise. She's dressed very regal for her Quantum Journey, and appears to be very ethereal, because I wanted to keep that mysterious appearance she has in the original game. But she also have a sillier side, she's still a teenager after all. She gets all excited to discover things she's never seen before, and she's absolutely fascinated by the Hearthian culture and giant bugs! She would sometimes start rambling about hypotheses, which sometimes can be very distracting to Hatchy. While she has a strong connexion to Hatchy, since only they can talk to her and because she feels very bad about the situation they're in, she starts the story very much disliking Gabbro. She hates that someone as unhinged as them is the only person able to help Hatchy. And Gabbro is legit scared of her. She's absolutely terrified of Dark Bramble. everytime Hatchling goes there to explore, she either begs for them to leave, or is frozen in fear, which makes it the only place where she won't help Hatchy with any enemies.

The Legend of Outer Wilds - Gabbro's Secret

Oooh there's the big reveal! I don't have very defined scenes in mind for this AU, since I meant it to be left open for others to imagine stories with it, but Gabbro's big reveal is one of the rare scenes I had in mind for a while. Since Gabbro's design for TLOOW was very much inspired by Zelda villains, like Skull Kid and Ghirahim, I also wanted to make their presence more threatening, without making it a straight-up villain. But making them a little unstable without any reason didn't feel right for me. So I gave them a reason. I decided that they would be in the loop first instead of Hatchling. With their flying bug going rogue, they can barely leave the island. They solitude got to them, and when they got the occasion, the brought Hatchy into this! They will interact again! I will draw the second part one day, if I got time!

I Must unleash the TLOOW brainrot to the world, I've been trapped in my own personal limbo ever since summer but everything I've made for it has been.... bad, so nobody ever got to see or hear about it!!

Anyways, here you go, there is a longer an actual explanation about this but I gotta go do homework so not gonna explain it now <:D

Edit: ACTUALLY *SCREW* LATIN HOMEWORK. This is mostly about Gabbro's guilt about dragging the Hatchy into the loops. But also kinda hinting to the events that happened in one of Elwensas's TLOOW comics (please go find it its insane). I love to headcanon that Gabbro gets a bit worried and protective of the Hatchling when they're around Owlks for this reasondhsdjksh.

Their mask is off, they're injured. Emotions :tm: happening. Hatchy realizes that and for once decides that going for a hug is the only thing they can do rn. An action which gabbro isn't especially... comfortable in? They'd push them away or move out of the way as to avoid it. BUT HERE? Gabbro stunned as they were, only hug them back. Their guilt setting in.

catch me looping at the end of the universe ------------------------------------ Greatest time looper from greatest game ever made let's go babyyyyyyy ------------------------------------ They had to go through so much man, including a bunch of spoilers for the game. But one thing that is spoiler-safe is that their timeloop is caused by the sun going supernova, which is a very painful experience physically and emotionally, because the entire solar system is fucked no matter what they do. ------------------------------------ Outer Wilds is a very personal, almost intimate journey through the game's 20 minute clockwork solar system. You can't help but develop a love for everything there. And, of course, when you begin you assume you must be trying to *save* the world. But in the end you realize all you can do is play out the old world.
