"No, it's quite alright. I was looking for you, actually, Joseph. I'm Willow Poitier and I have a letter from your younger sister." Rose holds an envelope out to her elder brother. She was unsure if he'd recognize her, so she'd decided to go by the surname given by her adoptive parents.

"O-Oh! Hi you uh... You just missed Annabelle if you were looking for her. She went into the kitchen to make some dinner... Hi I'm uh... Joseph. Joseph Seed, her husband."

The Seed girl was walking when she saw one of her classmates fighting what looked to be a demon. She froze in place just watching them. "Damn that's impressive."

Rosemary felt anxious being able to see the ghost of older brother's bio mother. She felt her presence plenty of times in her younger years. Being an empath, she'd to tell if spirits were around her plenty of times but never speak to or see them.

"I'm Rose, ma'am. Sorry, I don't know where to start. I have more questions about you, though, than my brother. Have special abilities always ran in your family? That's my first question for you." The thirty-five year old was glad it was after her shop was closed. Otherwise, she'd probably look like she was talking to herself.

//A small headcanon for Rose. She's an empath so she can feel other people's emotions, but she can't differentiate between hers and others a majority of the time. As such, she gets overwhelmed quite easily, especially in her younger years.

"I'm sorry, big brother. I had to. I couldn't just let him beat on John." Rose's hands were bloody and bruised from beating on their father. She'd broken the old man's nose and knocked him out. She looks at Joseph apologetically tears in her eyes.

Rose was hesitant as she approached her elder brother's home. She'd hired a private investigator with the Poitier's money to help her find Joseph. Her adoptive had recently died in an accident with a streetcar. Being in such a big mansion by herself had become overwhelming. She been desperate for familial contact

The nineteen year old orphan double checked the address on her flip phone that she'd been sent by the P.I.. Rose hoped she had the right house and that she wouldn't end up wasting a strangers time. There was the worry Joseph might not wish to see her. She took a deep breath before politely but firmly knock on the door.

//A headcanon for Preteen/ Teen!Rose after the farm fire. She wasn’t adopted by the Ducans alongside John but a family friend of theirs. This family friend lived in Louisiana, so she was with Ducans for a week while the family friend was visiting them.

"Okay." Rose gives a small nod to Jacob while holding on to him so she doesn't fall. She looks around as her brothers walk. She notices a tire swing tied to a tree about twenty feet in front of them. She was also kept out for cooler things

"Guys, look, there's a tire swing up ahead. I wonder if there's a tree house near it." The young girl pointed out the swing slightly excited.

"You tripped?! You need to be more careful Rose! At least Joseph was keeping an eye on you. Yeah you can get a piggy back. I am after all super strong."

"I just wanna see if we can find an abandoned house. Maybe we can make it our house... Something to hide in away from the Old Man and mother."

"That's if we find it brother!" A grin from the older brother. He's giving Rose a piggy back quite easily and once she was properly situated he was off walking with Joseph by his side. "Hey, Rose, if you see anything you like, point it out! We'll pick it up for ya."

"I'm alright. I got ya an ice pack for your head."

She sits on the edge of the bed, placing the ice pack on the back of his head. Her hair falls in front of her face while she holds the ice to her brothers head, hiding a small bruise she had on her cheek. Rose had gotten it from the Old Man backhanding her for just getting the ice for Joseph.

"Jacob's right, though we need to do something. If we don't, it's just going to get worse."

"... Ow... My head still hurts..."

He's still recuperating after the most recent beating he'd gotten.

"Ugh! I need to teach the Old Man a lesson. He can't get away with this Joseph!"

"No... N-No it's okay. I'll be alright. Don't take it out on him it'll be fine... Hey Rose. How're you..." His head has plopped back down onto the bed with a groan, rubbing at a spot in his head with a grumble. "Ow..."

"Rocks are pretty cool, though, and they have really pretty patterns sometimes."

She runs a little faster and trips on a tree root, faceplanting into the ground. She gets back up, unfazed and dusting herself off before running to find Jacob. Rose gets to him, almost crashing into her eldest brother.

"Okay, okay. Betcha, I could get to him before you can?" She runs out the front door excited, pulling her older brother behind gently. She skipped along the trail to the nearby woods. "Hopefully, I can find more cool trinkets for my collection."
