Just watched the barbie movie and wow that feminism really can surface level
#meej#AUGH THE LINE ABOUT SMALL POX#WTF WAS THAAAAAT#the whole ken storyline being like ‘wouldnt it be so weeeeird if men were oppressed :)’#the ken storyline was fucked up in general ngl#i fucking hate this movie ive decided#i know its just a mattel commercial but the way it handles the more serious subjects pisses me off#and another thing about ken#the whole mirroring of the kens as the oppressed class/“women" in barbie land made me viscerally uncomfy#its supremely fucked up that the movie just ends with them just being oppressed again too#and its played for laughs!!#i hate how they femmed sarah let that girl be butch in peace#AUGGH AND THE ENDING WITH THE GYNECOLOGIST#barbie became a real woman and real women have vaginas and go to the gynecologist :)#sorry i could go on forever about this movie
