I dont watch sports movies like ever with very few exceptions but I want to watch Paper Lion because A) Alan Alda and B) I love the dynamic of groups of jocks adopting someone who is definitively Not A Jock because thats what happened to me in high school

#when I was in the 11th grade the jock boys a year older than me had adopted me #we didnt actually talk much but they were like my guardian angels #I was very openly trans in high school and they were very protective of me #if you gave me a funny look they would manifest ready to defend me #I wasn't like. helpless or anything but I wasn't gonna be winning any fights lol so it was appreciated #they were very nice they also hyped me up real hard in gym class and would literally toss me in the air in celebration #the jocks in my grade were also fairly protective but to a lesser extent #there was just the general vibe of 'dont fuck with this guy he's our little guy' and they were all very very supportive #aggressively hyping my gender #I wanna run into some of them at the upcoming reunion and tell them I took up kickboxing lol
