it seriously irritates me when people try to imply that marcus treated sejanus wrongly in ANY capacity in canon. “sejanus was so kind to marcus despite how he treated him” is a quote i’ve seen quite a bit when people attempt to analyze sejanus’s character. girl all he did was ignore him 😭 how did he treat him???;!;$ and coming across posts that are flat-out angry with marcus for how he reacted to sejanus’s offerings just make my head hurt so bad. i can’t believe this fandom is real sometimes. i blame francis lawrence
