So I went a little batshit last night, wrote a whole outline, and got this for a story concept:

Ten years after the restoration of the Cup of Ankh, and eight after Sibuna scattered to the winds, former Anubis House residents are brought back together by a nation-wide manhunt for one Poppy Clarke—thief of the Rosetta Stone.

(…Clarke, 22, had previously been spotted at various sites of stolen Ancient Egyptian artifacts, from London to Cairo. She was identified by Victor Rodenmaar, a former groundskeeper of her alma mater, when Clarke stole the artifact known as the Touchstone of Ra from his primary residence. But there’s more to this particular heist than meets the eye. The retired Sibuna members must now band together to find Poppy before it is too late. But with magic comes a price, and all roads lead to the High Priestess of Old. And the past they’ve all tried to forget.

The year is 2021. An ancient temple has unearthed itself in the middle of Cairo Airport. The gods of Egypt are awake; the barrier between worlds thin. And war peaks its wings upon the horizon.

Kinda wanna write a House of Anubis fic set post-canon. Like 8-10 years after Sibuna graduates and scatters, that delves more into the world of Egyptian gods in the modern world. Because like…the show implied that they’re there and watching everything that unfolds in Anubis House, but just…never delve any deeper than that.

Besides, I really want to experiment with the Chosen One/Osirian relationship, especially since canon never did it justice (seriously, they could’ve just said Nina was texting/calling off screen instead of writing her off). That, and I really wanted to see the mess that is Jealous!Fabian, and Eddie having to deal with his instincts to protect Nina over Patricia in dangerous situations.

It’ll be Fabina and Peddie of course, because I’ve never forgiven the show either for making Fabina not endgame.
