SHORT DP X DC WRITING PROMPT #2
(Possible crack/one-shot continuation for the Lair of Mystery au)
All of a sudden I had a really stupid idea. Does the House of Mystery have a bathroom?
â Main Prompt
âŚ
Constantine: Any of you know how to fix a leaky sink pipe in the bathroom
Danny: ...This place has a bathroom?
Constantine: *sputters* What do you mean? It's your house?!
Danny looks at Constantine with a blank expression and puts his hand on the Brit's shoulder.
Danny: John. Sweetie. Buddy. I'm dead. I don't NEED a bathroom.
Constantine puts his head in his hands with a long-suffering groan.
Constantine: Do you know how to fix a leaky pipe or not? You're pretty much the landlord here.
Danny: Oh. Yeah sure. Just let me get the tool box from the lab.
Danny disappears and leaves Constantine with a dumbfounded look on his face.
Constantine: Wha- LAB??
âŚ
Could just be the tiredness talking but I laughed a lot more at this than I probably should. To the person who said Danny was JLD's landlord, THANK YOU.

Strangeswap Floorplans & Household Details
Under a cut cince I consider some of these to be a little bit "spoiler-y", here's all the floorplans for anon who wants to try making Strangeswap for The Sims 4!
I've also included notes on all the changes to sims, etc. Unless noted, assume stuff is the same as the original! I've included notes on the intended LTW but as just pointed out to me a lot of the LTWs show up kind of buggy, lol! So this is a nice reference I guess if anyone wants to have the correct "intended" LTWs (although I'm supportive of changing them if desired, haha, they were kind of a last minute addition).
Smith
The Smith house is a remodel of the Grunt house that combines the aesthetics of both houses. Actual personalities are unchanged, but here are some sims bios etc.
"Johnny has always lived under the hard thumb of his father, General P.T. In this domesticated boot camp, can Johnny prove his worth to this demanding Dad?"
"Pollination Technician #9 enlisted into the army in exchange for amnesty. The military was prepared to spend generously to acquire intelligence from any alien willing to betray its own kindâŚ"
"Jenny loves having a career, but she wishes she could spend more time with her family. She sometimes wondering if marrying P.T. was the right choice."
"Johnny wants to save the world and is certain being part-alien must give him some kind of extraordinary ability, but heâs still trying to figure out his superpower."
(Jill's bio is the same as the original Strangetown)
PT9 is at the top of the military career, like General Buzz (Jenny retains her OG career, though she is thinking of quitting)
PT9 is still enemies with General Buzz like in the original Strangetown, but is also enemies with Glarn Curious
Jenny and PT9 have a slightly low relationship for a married couple and are not currently in love (this is intended to mirror the Lyla/Buzz dynamic, although the reason for it is up to the player's imagination)
The timeline change shown in memories indicates that Jenny became romantically involved with PT9 quite shortly after her father was abducted. In the family album Glarn is shown looking unhappy at their wedding
Johnny is still enemies with Tank, and also has a slight dislike of his half-sisters Lola & Chloe
PT9's LTW is to have lots of children, Jenny's is to have them graduate college. Johnny wants to become captain hero.
Grunt
The Grunt house is a remodel of the Specter household, but more slightly more masc & jock, haha. Note Lyla's grave is where Ichabod's is originally (next to the chair) and is the only grave with flowers and candles placed on it.
"Who is buried in Buzz Gruntâs garden? Will the mysterious, aging outcast split his fortune evenly between his sons, or give everything to his favourite, Tank?"
"Buzz will stop at nothing to get what he wants. He used to enjoy barbershop quartet singing, but that is classified information."
"Tank Grunt wants to be just like his old man. He spends his days digging holes, shapening sticks, and being bigger than the other guy, but deep down inside, he wonders if anyone really knows who he is."
Buzz Grunt works as a professional party guest. The "General" has obvously been dropped from his name
Ripp has been changed from romance to pleasure aspiration
Buzz's LTW is to have 20 best friends. Tank wants to be a world class ballet dancer (nod to the psp game). Ripp wants to reach the top of the culinary career, (I think this one is unaltered, but kinda fits since he has high food interest)
Looking through Buzz's memories, you can see he caught Lyla cheating numorous times, and in the family album there is a picture of him caughting her in bed with Rigger Mortis. Right after the caught cheating memories, there are memories of men (Olive Specter's husbands from OG Strangetown) dying. Lyla dies just after their divorce
Buzz also has memories for the deaths of most people in the graveyard, same as Olive Specter in the original Strangetown.
Ripp is dating Chloe Curious, and they have had their first kiss and made out. He will usually start the game with wants about Ophelia, though.
Tank is friends with Lola Curious, although they go to different schools (in hindsight maybe I should have put the boys in private school? oh well). They have some chemistry but it's up to the player whether to do anything about that
Specter
The Specter house is a remodel of the Beaker castle. Overall there are not many changes here as I think their styles are quite simiilar!
"What experiments is the highly secretive and less than neighbourly Olive Specter performing on poor Ophelia? Will this secrecy affect her retirement plans?"
"Olive knows 238 different ways to make someone scream, and none of them are nice. She enjoys taxidermy and collecting mushrooms."
"Ophelia knows being a test subject isnât exactly usual for a high school student, but the experiments are mostly harmless and she doesnât have any other family to turn to. It was this or the orphanage."
Olive Specter's "seriel killer" memories are gone. However, she retains her memory of woohoo with the Grim Reaper
Her memories of most of her OG husbands are gone (she was too busy with her research to make time for love, maybe!), but she does still have her romance & marriage with Ichabod Specter who she met as an elder (as shown in family album)
Rather than being taken away by social services, Nervous ran away as a teenager. The reason for this is not stated, but he's still called "Nervous Subject" so it's implied Olive was using him as a test subject. (There's also an album picture which shows this, or shows Olive neglecting him, depending on interpretation)
Olive's LTW is to max all 7 skills. Ophelia wants to be a Mad Scientist (although it incorrectly reads Education Minister, that's a bug lol!)
Olive and Glarn Curious are enemies, and a picture in the family album shows them arguing as teenagers in some sort of science lab. She has a memory of winning a fight against her as a teenager. (This is intended to mimic Loki's rivalry with the Curious brothers).
Beaker
The Beaker house is a makeover of the Curious lab, which now looks completely ridiculous and is probably my favourite lot, hahaha.
"In search of truth and mystery, the Beakers got more than they were âexpecting.â Can Loki, Circe, and Erin cope with their new roles as cosmic parents?"
"A shrewd and clever woman who runs the business end of the Beaker operation. She enjoys taxidermy and collecting coat hangers."
(Loki and Erin's bios are unchanged)
Loki is alien pregnant, like Pascal in the original Strangetown. Circe and Erin both seem supportive of this.
Erin has the knowledge aspiration and is working in the science career as a field researcher. Loki and Crice's careers are unchanged.
The sims are mostly unchanged with no new relationships or new memories, although there's a sweet picture of Loki and Erin playing dolls nicely together as kids rather than him smashing the dollhouse
Curious
The Curious house is a makeover of the Smith house, in a more modern (or retro-furutrist?) style. It also incorperates some elements from the Curious family's childhood home as seen in the original storytelling pictures. Kitty Curious' grave is in their backyard.
"After fruitful careers, siblings Glabe and Glarn are ready for retirement. But at their age, can they keep up with Glarn's twins? Will Lola and Chloe make friends and fit in, or is this family just too strange for Strangetown?"
Lola and Chloe have their original bios, and it appears I straight up forgot to give Glabe and Glarn bios, lol!
The family photos and memories show that Glarn got abducted while the kids were still home (Jenny a fresh adult, Pascal and Vidcund teenagers, and Lazlo a child). He has a negative memory of his abduction despite being a knowledge sim.
Kitty Curious (his wife) died shortly after they both reached alderhood. The reason for this is left to the player's imagination.
After that, his younger sister Glabe moved in to help with the toddlers. She has taken on the brunt of the childcare and taught them all their toddler skills. She is friends with best friends with both twins, whereas Glarn is not.
Glarn and Glabe both work in the science career. Glarn is a project leader, Glabe is a science teacher.
Glarn's aspiration is knowledge, and he wants to max out 7 skills.
Glabe's aspiration is popularity, and she wants to be Education Minister
Chloe's LTW is to become a professional party guest. As mentioned in the Grunt house notes, she's dating Ripp Grunt.
Lola's LTW is to earn $100,000. She is friends with Tank Grunt.
Lola is an A+ student and in private school, whereas Chloe is in public school and is a D student. Their memories show Chloe being rejected from private school. (Which is the same as OG their memories in OG Strangetown, but was an interesting detail I'd never noticed/considered).
The household is on bad terms with the Smith household. Glarn is enemies with PT9, and both girls has a slight dislike of Johnny. They do all like Jenny & Jill, though.
Singles
The Singles household is the Curious brothers, Nervous Subject, and Ajay Loner. They live in a makeover of 57 Road to Nowhere.
"Has there ever been a group of roommates so different from one another? As if living in Strangetown isnât hard enough, will these guys be able to accept their differences and be friends or will the tension tear the house apart?"
"Nervous never planned on moving back to Strangetown, but when his internet boyfriend offered him a place to stay who was he to say no? His hobbies include twitching and blinking a lot."
Other bios are unchanged.
Pascal is a romance sim, and works in the Intelligence Career as a private eye. Him and Nervous are in love. Wants to be head of SCIA. (I thought this fit well with his love of conspiracy theories, picture him as a sort of horny Fox Mulder, LOL)
Vidcund gets to keep his knowledge aspiration, but is working in Natural Science as an algae hunter. (He wants to be criminal mastermind which I think is a mistake tbh, feel free to change it to whatever suits your headcanon)
Lazlo is a pleasure sim and working in the paranormal career as a tarot card reader. (His LTW is to become a game designer, ideally it would be the cult leader one but that's not availible without mods IIRC).
Ajay and Nervous do not have careers yet (they are supossed to have moved in more recently). Ajay wants to be a business tycoon and Nervous wants to be a Space Pirate (though I think his LTW is bugged out lmao).
The reason for aspiration and career changes here to to keep it from feeling too much like yet another Curious family (since the Beakers and Curious houses are filling that role) and more like the wacky mix of personalities that make up the Singles girls :)
Most of the guys are on decent terms with each other, but Vidcund has a slight dislike of Ajay and Nervous that will usually lead to fights eventually if the player doesn't intervene.
Loste
Kristen is filling the "Ajay Loner" role in the hood and lives in this makeover of 91 Road to Nowhere. Follow the link to see the house properly.
"Kristen has come to Strangetown hoping to find herself. Will she be successful in her new home or will the odd things that always seem to happen here drive her away?"
Her LTW is the become a hall of famer in the athletic career (since her bio says that it always feels weird to have her bio be anything else).
She's not been changed at all apart from all her relationships with the Singles girls being removed. She's a blank slate!
Community Lots
The neighbourhood comes with my makeover of 81 Road to Nowhere, v1 (see link for pictures). I also made over the community pool:
The neighbourhood also has 188 Road to Nowhere, which is an empty lot, and 73 Road to Nowhere, the weird little house. I didn't do anything to either of them, they're just vanilla maxis houses.
On my downloads page, though, I do have makeovers of them that could give you some ideas. (A trailer park for the bin families and renovation for the original Singles girls.)
Phew, right, I think that's everything! Let me know if you need clarification or more info on anything :)

A Fic Writer's Guide to Bobby's House
Part 1/?: Exterior & Overview
Click for the full-size, annotated versions of images!
Bobbyâs house changes slightly during its many appearances, but is generally a rundown, double-gabled house located on the same plot of land as the Singer Auto Salvage Yard. It features light blue clapboard siding, white trim, two brick chimneys, boarded-up windows on the upper floors, and a dark gray roof with dormers.
Bobbyâs house is a variation on the American Foursquare, though it deviates from the style with the addition of two large twin gables seen in the main exterior shots of the house. Interestingly, in Bobbyâs memories in episode 3.10 (see "semi-canon note" below), the house exterior lacks these dormers and is a much more traditional Foursquare. According to this episode, Bobbyâs street number is 2194.
These types of houses were popular during the end of the 19th century through the beginning of the 20th, so we can assume Bobbyâs house was built sometime after 1890 but before the 1930s. In episode 7.10, we learn that this house was Bobbyâs childhood home and was most likely left to him after his mother died. The house also most likely underwent two renovations: the first to update it to the 1950s style we see in 7.10 and again sometime after Bobby and Karen got married (the house has lots of florals and feminine touches).
Semi-canon note: The house exterior shown in episode 3.10 does not match the house exterior featured in the rest of the show and therefor will not be considered fully "canon" for the sake of these guides, same as other single-episode discrepancies in Bobby's house's layout. A collection of screenshots from this episode is to come so you can compare them yourself.
Bobby's house has three entrances shown in the show. The first is the entrance we see in the main exterior shots (above). This is the kitchen door as shown in 1.22 and 6.04 when its used by Meg and Rufus respectively. Note the tarp that can also be seen in the exterior shots. The second is the front door and we see it used a handful of times like in 6.04 when Bobby's neighbor shows up with cobbler and in and 6.18 and 7.01 when mail is delivered to it. The third is the basement door which can be seen in 6.19 and will be covered with the rest of the basement.
In 6.04, a stretch of road can be seen in the background looking out from the front door. This is likely the main road in Bobby's neighborhood with Bobby's property potentially sitting on a corner lot, allowing for a street-facing front entrance as well as the Singer Salvage entrance we see in other exterior shots.
In the show, we see most of the ground floor and basement of Bobbyâs house but very little of the upstairs. We can assume based on the shots of the exterior that there is also potentially an unfinished third story or attic. Over its many appearances, Bobbyâs house has had both minor and major differences in its layout and floorplan. The shown interior also doesnât quite fit the exterior. The house appears to be smaller on the inside than on the outside, windows used in the interior set do not make sense with the exterior set, and the placement of windows and entrances is a bit off. With all that in mind, going forward, the interior set will be considered âmost canonâ as it is seen more frequently than the exterior and one-off changes to the layout or appearance will potentially be disregarded.
The most frequently seen layout of the inside of Bobbyâs house includes the main office den area, the kitchen, and alcove off of the kitchen, a mystery room between the alcove and hallway. and a hallway with a staircase. Also seen are the basement, the panic room, an upstairs hallway with linen closet (4.02), an upstairs spare room (4.02), and Bobbyâs bedroom (7.10).
Based on the house's size and the floorplans of other Foursquares, it's likely that Bobby's house also contains a single upstairs bathroom and one or two additional bedrooms that could potentially be guest rooms for Sam, Dean, and Castiel. They'll just all have to be prepared to fight over the bathroom.

Me: I like the Alex rider show just a normal amount
Also me: take rigorous screenshots of all angles of the rider house and research floorplans of the neighbouring irl houses on Rightmove to make detailed notes in order to recreate the house perfectly in the sims
(/I will crack the mysteries of the second floor layout of the rider home. We only see Alexâs room, the view from his door, and the inside of Ianâs office which has two doors, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how they all fit together)

Single?
Katsuki x Femal!Reader
What:Â fluff, aged up characters, children, mentioning of other ships, MANGA SPOILERS
Word count:Â 4.4K
~3rd person pov.~
How Katsuki is single is still the biggest mystery to the world. His friends try hooking him up with people, setting him up on blind dates with men and women. He always just takes the food and leaves however. His friends are starting to give up on getting him a partner. All they're doing is breaking peoples hearts.
''Why won't Bakubro just date someone?'' Eijirou whines.
''I don't know man, I wish I did.'' Hanta groans.
''Well, there must be someone out there, right?'' Denki asks.
''You would think so.'' Kyouka mumbles.
''The fuck are you fuckers talking about?!'' Katsuki's voice barks from behind them.
All their heads snap back as they see a glaring katsuki looking down on them as they're all sitting on the couch in the canteen. All of them try to say something, but all that comes out are jumbled up words as Denki and Eijirou make weird hand movements. Katsuki grumbles and walks away from them, not really being in the mood.
Kamuko had kept him up a lot last night. He would have let you deal with her, but you are so tired lately and Katsuki just wanted you to sleep. You're his fiance and Kamuko is your daughter. You don't want to go public about your relationship with him just yet, so he keeps it hidden. You're his childhood friend and you two have always been inseparable, so it was no surprise you two started dating and got engaged.
Katsuki makes himself some coffee and chugs it down fast. He throws away the paper cup and walks out of the canteen again, his old classmates and friends still trying to explain what they were talking about. Katsuki knows damn well they were talking about his love life, that's all they seem to talk about.
He curses under his breath and walks into his office. He drops his gauntlets on the black leather couch and walks over to his dark wooden desk. He sits down on his black leather swivel chair and grabs a file, opening it and starts reading the content. It's a report on a mission done two days ago.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Katsuki closes his locker as he puts on his coat. He can't wait to go home and cuddle up with you on the couch. If he's lucky Kamuko will still be up and he'll be able to play a bit with her as well. He walks out of the changing room and to the exit of his agency. He spots Eijirou standing there with an awkward smile on his face and grumbles.
''Hey Bakubro.'' Eijirou says as he walks over to Katsuki.
''What?'' Katsuki snaps.
''Why have you been abandoning the blind dates we set up?'' Eijirou asks as he follows Katsuki out of the agency.
Katsuki has his hands stuffed deep into his pockets as his shoulders are hunched forward and his steps are heavy. He glares at Eijirou from the corner of his eyes to see the redhead walking with his shoulders pushed back, hands beside him and a smile on his face as his footsteps are light. Katsuki sighs as he looks forward again.
''Don't want a fucking date asshead.''
''But why not? I'm dating Denki, Mina is dating Hanta and Jirou is dating Momo. You're the only one who isn't dating. Don't you get lonely?''
''No.''
''Come on man. Just one date. That's all we ask. At least talk a bit to the person before walking off with the food again. After that we'll stop.'' Eijirou begs.
''No.''
''Well, to bad. We're doing it anyway. If you don't go we will never stop, just so you know!'' Eijirou says as he jogs off and waves.
Katsuki sighs as he keeps walking home. Slowly his house comes into view. It's a white, two story mansion with a big front yard and a huge back yard with a play ground. It has five bedrooms and three and a half bathroom. It has an open floorplan and is recently renovated. He walks up to the front door and opens it, softly walking inside.
He takes off his coat and shoes, puts his keys in the basket and walks into the living room. The TV is playing some random serie while you're sitting on the couch with a blanket wrapped around you as you're watching the show. Katsuki smiles and walks over, going to stand behind the couch and wrapping his arms around your shoulders as he plants a kiss on your head.
''I'm home, Princess.'' He whispers as he buries his face in your hair.
''Welcome back, Suki. Kamuko is already asleep, she couldn't stay awake anymore, sorry.'' You say as you place your hands on his arms.
''Is fine.''
You smile at the sleepy undertone of his voice. After a few seconds he lets go of you and walks around the couch, laying down on it with his head resting on your lap. He closes his eyes as he gets comfortable. You smile down at him and bring your hand up to gently pull your fingers through his hair, making sure your nails scratch his scalp slightly.
''They were at it again, huh?'' You whisper.
''Yeah.'' He mumbles as he snuggles closer.
''It's okay, Suki. When we're married you'll announce me to the whole wide world.'' You whisper as you kiss the side of his head.
''Fuck yes I will. No one will look at you with those stupid lust eyes anymore.'' He mumbles, words slightly slurring.
''I'm all yours, Baby. No other man has my intrest, only you.''
''Fucking right you're all mine.'' He mumbles as he turns over and buries his face into your abdomen.
''You tired?'' You whisper into his hair, fingers still playing with his hair.
''Mmm.''
''Lets go up then. I can't carry you.'' You giggle.
''Mmm.'' He groans, snuggling up closer.
''Suki!'' You giggle. ''You can carry me upstairs and hug me all you want.'' You bribe.
''Fine.'' He grumbles as he sits up.
He gets off the couch and picks you up bridal style. You wrap your arms around his shoulders and rest your head against his chest, feeling his muscles move when he moves as well. Katsuki smiles down at you and holds you closer as he walks into the bed room you two share. He carries you to the bed and lays you down.
He plants a gentle kiss on your forehead before walking over to the closet. He opens it and takes out some grey sweatpants. You watch him silentle as he strips to his boxers. He puts on the sweats and walks over to you with a smirk. You stare at his abs and well trained body as he crawls into bed beside you and wraps his arms around you.
He lays on his back as you tangle your legs with his and wrap your arm around his waist, resting your head on his chest as his arms are wrapped securely around you. You smile as you close your eyes. Katsuki plants a kiss on the top of your head as he holds you closer and also closes his eyes.
''Good night, Princess.'' He mumbles sleepily.
''Good night, Suki.''
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three days later is the day he has his stupid blind date with a random person. You helped him get ready and reassured him it's fine. He's wearing black dress pants with a white blouse, the top two buttons open. On his feet he has fancy black shoes. He's also wearing his leather jacket. You wave him off with Kamuko in your arms.
As he arrives at the restaurant he spots a random chick sitting at a table. She's wearing a red dress that's revealing and tight fitting. Her blond hair curled up and a few strands pinned to the back of her head. She's wearing a lot of makeup, showing how vain she is. Katsuki groans to himself as he walks over and sits down, placing his jacket over the back of his chair.
''Hey.'' He grumbles, already hating this.
''Hey~.'' The woman flirts as she leans over the table.
''I'm going to make this very fucking clear. I ain't looking for a fucking partner. The only fucking reason I'm here is to get those shitty extra's off my fucking back. So shut it and fucking eat.'' Katsuki growls as he waves over a waiter.
''No need to be rude~.''
''Some beer and katsudon. Give this bitch a salade and water.'' Katsuki tells the waiter.
''Coming right up.'' The waiter says before walking off.
As Katsuki waits for the food the woman keeps attempting to hit on him. Katsuki ignores her however and pulls out his phone, looking through the news. As the food arrives he eats his food fast, slams some money on the table and leaves. His footsteps are heavy as he walks home, cursing under his breath all the way home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When he arrives home he slams the door shut and kicks off his shoes and hangs up his coat, a scowl present on his face as he keeps grumbling curses under his breath. You walk over to him wearing one of his shirts and some shorts. A sleeping Kamuko is in your arms as you walk over to him.
Katsuki releases a breath and takes his one-year-old daughter from you, cradling her in his arms as he gently rocks her. You just watch him as he slowly calms down. You and Kamuko always have that effect on him. You go to stand beside him and lean against his side, looking at the peacefully sleeping Kamuko as she holds Katsuki's shirt.
''That bad, huh?'' You whisper.
''She wouldn't shut up. Kept flirting with me no matter what I fucking said.'' Katsuki grumbles as he places a kiss on your forehead.
''Well, you're home now and if the others keep their promise this will be the last one.'' You smile as you give him a quick kiss on the lips.
''Thank god.''
''Come, lets put her to bed.'' You smile as you start walking up to Kamuko's room.
Katsuki smiles and follows after you. You open the door to the room with soft pink walls, stuffed animals, dolls and other toys everywhere and a white crib. Katsuki places Kamuko in her crib and tucks her in, kissing her head. You also give Kamuko a kiss and lean against Katsuki's chest as he wraps his arms around you torso, resting his head on yours.
''I love you (y/n).'' He mumbles with closed eyes.
''I love you too Katsuki. Lets go to bed. You need to get up early tomorrow.'' You smile as you turn in his hold and rest your hands flat against his masculine chest.
''Hmm, good idea, Teddy bear.'' He whispers into your ear.
You flush as you bury your face in his chest. Katsuki chuckles as he lifts you up. You hug him koala style and bury your face in his neck. Katsuki carries you up to your room and places you on the bed before getting changed and brushing his teeth. Once he's done he walks over to you and crawls into bed beside you. he wraps his arms around you as you bury your face in his chest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weeks go by and Katsuki's friends keep their promise. That makes Katsuki a lot less snappy and grumpy, which caused the two of you to have some fun. Right now you're looking down at a positive pregnancy test. Your eyes tear up as you smile brightly. You walk out of the bathroom and walk over to the napping Kamuko.
You pick her up and walk to the front door, putting on a coat and shoes. You grab your keys and walk outside, holding Kamuko close as the days are slowly getting colder. You start walking to Katsuki's agency as a few tears spill. He's at work and will be until late tonight. As you reach the agency you walk inside and start heading to the elevator.
''Excuse me, who are you and what is your business here?'' A security lady asks.
''Ah, I'm here for Katsuki Bakugou.'' You say, rubbing Kamuko's back as she slowly wakes up.
''He's in a meeting.''
''I see, I'll wait here for him then.'' You say as you walk over to a chair and sit down.
You place Kamuko on your lap and support her so she won't fall off seeing as she's still tired. Kamuko smiles at you as she babbles and moves her hands around, making funny faces. You just hum and ask her questions to keep the both of you entertained. From the corner of your eye you see the security lady call someone.
''Really? What did you do?'' You ask Kamuko and she responds with some more babbling.
You look up when you hear multiple footsteps walking down a hallway and voices happily talking with one another. You see Katsuki walking with some other people as they talk to him. You realize they are his friends and smile before looking back down at Kamuko as she babbles some more.
''Hmm, good job, Sweetie.'' You smile at her as she just continues.
The footsteps and voices come to a halt, causing you to look up. You see everyone look at you curiously as Katsuki stares at you wide-eyed. You smile and pick up Kamuko as you stand up. You start walking over to them, but the security lady stops you by grabbing your free arm. You look at the lady to see her looking at you angrily.
''Where do you think you're going?'' She asks.
''I told you before that I'm here for Katsuki Bakugou.'' You sigh.
''You're here for Bakubro?'' A cheery voice asks.
You look to the source of the voice and see Katsuki's friends and Katsuki staring at you confused.
''Yes.'' You simply state as you pull your arm from the womans grip.
''Why?'' A pink haired girl asks.
''I need to talk to him.'' You smile, glaring at the woman as you walk over to them.
''Oh? Why would a woman with a beautiful baby want to talk to our angry boom boom man?'' A blond asks.
''The fuck are you doing here?'' Katsuki finaly asks.
''Language. I came here to talk to you.'' You scold.
''Could have fucking called me.'' He grumbles, surprised you're here.
''Trust me, you would be mad if I told you over the phone. Can we talk in your office. Oh, and language!''
''Fine.'' Katsuki grumbles as he walks to the elevator.
You follow after him as Kamuko makes grabby hands towards him. You giggle and boop her nose. You and Katsuki silently wait for the elevator to arrive as you hear the others whisper behind you. When the elevator arrives you and Katsuki get in. As soon as the doors close he takes Kamuko from you and plants a kiss on her face before giving you a kiss.
''Why are you here, Princess?'' He asks softly.
''I'll tell you soon. A bit more patience Suki.'' You smile.
He grumbles softly. You take Kamuko from him before the doors open and follow Katsuki as he walks out of the elevator and towards his office. You three get a lot of strange looks while walking down the hall, but as soon as the people meet Katsuki's deathly glare they go back to work. You giggle softly at his behavior.
Katsuki opens the doors to his office and holds it open for you. You smile and walk into the office, Katsuki walking in after and closing the doors. You walk over to his desk and fish the pregnancy test out of your pocket and place it on his desk before turning to Katsuki and smiling brightly at him.
He walks over to the desk confused and picks up the stick. His eyes widen as he realizes what he's holding and what it says. He places it down on the desk again and turns to you with glazed over eyes and a questioning look, as if asking if itâs true. You place kamuko on a chair beside you and nod as you give Katsuki a hug.
''Yes Suki, I'm pregnant again.'' You whisper.
Katsuki holds you tight and spins you around. You giggle fondly as Katsuki showers your face in kisses.
''Fuck, I love you.'' He says softly as he places you down.
''I know, we'll have two little people to prove that.'' You smile.
''Fuck, I'm going to be a dad again. God, glad you came here. Gimmie kiss.''
You smile and place your lips on his. Your lips move in sync as Katsuki holds your waist. You wrap your arms around his shoulders and go to stand on your tippy toes. Katsuki licks your bottom lip, asking for permission. You part your lips and let his tongue enter. The two of you only break apart when you hear Kamuko giggling and babbling once again.
You giggle as you rest your head against Katsuki's chest and look at her. Your arms move to his waist as Katsuki rests his head on yours and also looks at Kamuko. She just babbles as she makes grabby hands towards you and Katsuki. You and Katsuki softly laugh as you break the hug and he goes to pick her up.
''You're going to be a big sister, Short stack.'' Katsuki smiles.
Kamuko babbles in reply.
''That's right baby. You're going to be a big sister.'' You smile as you kiss the side of her head.
''Now we have to wait longer to marry.'' Katsuki mumbles in a sad manner.
''Don't worry Suki. We can marry in a year. Our little Kamuko can be the prettiest brides maid ever and our new member can be there too.'' You smile as you place a hand on your stomach.
''Fuck, I really fucking love you. You know that, right?'' Katsuki whispers.
''Hmm, I do. Same here Suki, same here.'' You smile as you take his free hand and take it in yours.
The moment gets ruined by a knock on the door. You snatch the pregnancy test from the desk and put it in your pocket as you take Kamuko from Katsuki and speed walk over to the couch, sitting down as Katsuki moves to lean against his desk, looking at the big wooden doors. You nod at him as he takes a deep breath.
''Come in.'' He calls.
The door opens and a total of ten people walk in. You recognize one of them, Izuku, your other child hood friend. For the rest there is a purple haired girl, a red haired guy, a blond guy with a black lightning bolt, a black haired guy, a half white half white haired guy, a blue haired guy, a pink haired girl, a brown haired girl and a green haired girl. Izuku spots you and his eyes widen.
''(y/n)?'' He asks surprised.
''Hey Izu.'' You smile as you wave at him.
''Why the fuck are you guys here?!'' Katsuki barks.
''We'll have a mission soon, Bakugou. We came to talk it through.'' The half half guy says in a monotone voice.
''Can't you fucking see I'm busy?''
''We tried telling them you had someone over, but they wouldn't believe us.'' The black haired guy says.
''Kacchan never has people over, but now I understand. (y/n) would be the only possible person.'' Izuku mutters.
you get up and walk to Katsuki. he looks at you with a raised eye brow.
''I'll be going now, Bakugou.'' You say as you bow.
''Whatever.'' He grumbles.
''Kacchan? (y/n)? Did something happen between the two of you?'' Izuku asks.
''No Izu. Nothing happened.'' You smile at Izuku.
''Then why did you call him by his last name?'' Izuku asks as he takes a step forward.
''What do you mean Midbro?'' The redhead asks.
''(y/n) is our childhood friend as well. She always calls him by his front name or her nickname for him.'' Izuku explains as he turns to the others.
''I'll go Suki, Kamuko needs to be fed soon.'' You whisper to Katsuki.
''Yeah. See ya.'' He says, a ghost of a smile on his face.
You start walking to the group of people seeing as they are all standing in front of the open doors. They make way for you and follow you with their gaze as you walk off. Kamuko starts crying as she notices you're walking away from Katsuki. You try shushing her, but she starts trashing in your hold.
''Shh baby, you'll see daddy later.'' You whisper in her ear.
As she keeps crying Katsuki sighs and walks over to you and Kamuko. His friends and past classmates look at him worried and try stopping him, but Katsuki ignores them and walks over nonetheless. He takes Kamuko from your hold and slightly bounces her in his arms as he looks down at her. As soon as she realizes Katsuki is holding her she calms down.
''Well shit.'' He sighs.
''Sorry. She's not used to this. Here, I'll just take her home.'' You say, reaching out to take her.
''And let her cry again? Fuck no.'' Katsuki says as he turns away from you.
''Come on, we can't spoil her. She needs to learn. Let me take her so you can go back to work.'' You say, trying to take Kamuko from him.
''No.''
''Jesus Christ Katsuki. Give me Kamuko right now. You can hold her all you want when you come home.'' You grumble, getting annoyed with his behavior.
''No.''
''Katsuki Bakugou hand me my child.'' You say, placing your hands on your hip.
''No.''
Izuku and the redhead walk over as the others watch with pained expressions. The redhead places his hand on Katsuki's shoulder and shakes his head. Izuku just glances from one to another. You sigh and quickly snatch Kamuko out off Katsuki's hold while he's distracted. As soon as he feels her leave his arms his head snaps to you.
''Hand her over.'' He growls.
''No. She needs to go home. We can't spoil her and you know it. I know it hurts to hear her cry, but it will only be once or twice. If we spoil her she'll do it all the time.'' You explain with a sigh.
Katsuki looks at you with sad eyes. You know he hates to hear her cry. You do too, but you know you need to be strong. Katsuki is weak for her however, just like he's weak for you. You sigh and place your hand on his cheek. He nuzzles into your hand as he closes his eyes and releases a sigh before looking you in the eyes again.
''You're right. Now go before I change my fucking mind.'' He sighs as he takes a step back.
You smile and walk to the elevator, pushing the button and getting in as soon as the doors open. You look at everyone and wave as the doors close again. Katsuki sighs as his figure slumps. Everyone looks at Katsuki confused. He isn't a kid person, so why would he hold a random kid and refuse to let go. well, the kid is not random, but still.
''She's beautiful, Kacchan.'' Izuku smiles.
''Shut up, Deku.'' Katsuki grumbles.
''Ahe is though. How old is she? One? Two?'' Izuku asks with a big smile.
''One. Why the fuck do you want to know?'' Katsuki growls as he looks back at Izuku.
''We both know you know how I know. Auntie is bad at keeping her mouth closed to mom. I've known for a while now. Anyway, why was (y/n) here?'' Izuku beams.
''Fucking hag.'' Katsuki grumbles.
''What is going on?'' Denki asks.
''Nothing that fucking concerns you.'' Katsuki growls.
''Midobro?''
''Itâs up to Kacchan to tell you guys. Anyway, we came for business.''
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the long meeting and some patrolling Katsuki walks home. His steps are slow and his feet slightly drag as his head hangs low and his hands are shoved deep into his pockets. As he reaches the house he walks inside and lays down on the couch after taking off his shoes and coat, his head resting on your lap. He buries his face into your abdomen gently and gives it a kiss.
''Welcome back, Suki.''
''Mmm.'' He mumbles simply as he hugs you.
''Yeah, yeah. I know. It's too early to hear or feel anything though. Be patient.''
''Love you.''
''Love you too.''
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You and Katsuki married two weeks ago. It was small, but you both loved it. Kamuko was the brides maid while Kane was dressed in a little suite. Right now you are carrying Kane in your arm as Kamuko walks beside you and your free hand holds Katsuki. This is the day you'll make it known to the public. Katsuki will be named number two hero.
''I'll be in the audience.'' You smile as you kiss his cheek and take Kamuko's hand in yours as you walk off.
''Yeah.''
You go to stand in front of the crowed, looking up at the podium as Kamuko holds your hand tight and looks up with stars in her eyes, Kane just looks around amazed. His four month old brain can't really register what's going on. After a bit Presen Mic walks onto stage, announcing the basics and who is who. Izuku is number one, Katsuki number two, Kirishima number five and Todoroki number three. Now they're answering questions.
''Dynamight! Are you really single?!'' A lady asks.
''No. I'm happily married.'' Katsuki smirks as he glances at you.
The crowed erupts into chatter, freaking Kane out and causing him to cry. You let go of Kamuko's hand and start shushing him, it doesn't help however since there is still a lot of noise. Katsuki gets up and walks over to the front of the stage and to you. He reaches for Kane and picks him up, holding him close and bouncing him.
You smile at him and pick up Kamuko, setting her onto the stage as well before climbing onto it yourself. Katsuki smirks as you stand beside him, holding Kamuko's hand and softly whispering to Kane as Katsuki bounces him and glares at the crowed. The crowed quietens down and looks at it wide-eyed.
''Damn annoying extra's.'' He grumbles as he rubs Kane's back.
''Itâs okay, Suki.'' You whisper as Kane calms down and slowly falls asleep.
''They're too damn noisy.''
''It's fine, Suki. Kane needs to get used to it eventually.'' You smile as you kiss his cheek.
''I know.'' Katsuki mumbles.
''IS SHE YOUR WIFE?!?!'' Multiple reporters yell at once.
''Yes, now shut the fuck up before you wake up Kane again!''

The Triton House
This is part of a series that one day may be complete but also may never be complete. As most of you know Iâm like a huge #spatial person in my writing, so all my characterâs houses/apartments/living spaces are really well mapped out in my brain? And I thought itâd be fun for people to see. (And a good reference for those who may RP in those spaces at some point.) Also, shout out to the mersisters for letting me force my ideas on them, lmao.
@andrina-the-amazingsupergenius, @adella-the-idyllic, @arista-the-musical, @aquata-the-champ, @alana-the-brilliant
Overview:
The Triton House is a 7 bedroom, 4 bath house in the richest neighborhood in Swynlake. It was built originally in 1909. This chateau sits on a half acre property with an original brick façade and lattice along the front that is covered in sweet-scented wisteria. Even the outside boasts a cheery, warm environment which is only expounded upon by the interior.
*note: click to enlarge floorplans!
**note: pictures in the aesthetic are to give an overall #feel of the house, but donât necessarily indicate the exact furniture/decorations/floorplan. the floorplan, on the otherhand is not quite to scale but i did the best i could.
1. Living Room
The front part of the Triton household is a spacious, open floor plan, with the kitchen to the immediate left and the seating area on the immediate right. Guests arrive on a dias and descend two steps in either direction, or forwards towards the back of the house and stairs. The living room is decorated in a clean, but homey way, with plenty of seating area, both for the comfort of the large family and the benefit of any guests they may have. There is a chest of blankets that get passed around on colder nights. A large telly can swivel on an axis if someone prefers one seat to another but is large enough and set in a place so as to be viewable from most living room seats. The colours are cream and blues, with other accent colours and many mismatched throw pillows, some with quirky sayings and others that were crocheted by some of the girls.Â
2. Kitchen
The Triton kitchen is a large, boisterous room of the house. With a large amount of counter space and a six-top stove set into the island counter, it is ideal for cooking for a significant group of people. The oven sits next to the refrigerator and is state of the art. The cabinets are arranged in a neat, organized way, with each girl having a shelf for her own snacks and goodies. Everything is labeled and diligently upkept. The refrigerator is covered in photos of family/friends as well as cards, certificates of merits, medals, and other familial memorabilia. Once again, the kitchen is decorated in a homey fashion, with plenty of cliche sayings hanging on the walls (think: Live. Laugh. Love. style.) (see: the middle, top image.)
3. Dining Room
The dining room in the Triton household is rather cramped, but a much frequented place for the Tritons to gather. Dinners are frequent and even if missing one or two members, still crowded affairs, usually involving guests as well. There are extra chairs that can be squeezed in to make room if necessary and everyone is used to bumping elbows. Still, it is a lovely little room and has served the Tritons well in the almost thirty years theyâve lived there.Â
4. Sun Room/Music Room
Down the hallway, making your way towards the back of the house, one comes across a door to the left. One of the most peaceful rooms in the house, the rambunctious, fast-paced nature of the Triton abode is usually left behind when entering this room. Originally a sunroom, it still boasts large floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls, facing northwest, in order to catch the afternoon sunlight. Here is where the Tritons store and practice their various instruments, of which only a few are listed here: a grand piano, a keyboard, a classical harp, a saxaphone, a drumset, and several guitars. The Tritons are an actively musical family, though the music room is not as busy as it was several years ago. Now, it is a peaceful place, still used often for practices, but also for contemplative journal-writing, reading, or other such pastimes, when one needs a moment alone.
5. Guest Bedroom/Office Space
Once the permanent home of the Tritonâs nanny, Benjamin, the room was vacated several years ago. Located down the hall at the back of the house on the right, across from the music room, it is now a guest room/office that is used on occasion. Even though it is a guest room, it is still stocked with cozy decorations and family photos.
6. Washing Room
If you venture past the music room and guest room, you will turn right and see a door on the right hand side. Always overflowing with laundry, but somehow usually tidy, the washroom sees a lot of action from the Tritonsâ various activities. This room also is decorated with typically cliche saying placards and other cozy, homey touches.
7. Guest Bathroom
âIt is down the hall, to the right, to the right, and through the washroom!â is a common phrase during Triton parties, or when someone visits for the first time. Though it is tucked into the back of the house, the guest restroom sees frequent use, both from inhabitants whilst downstairs, as well as the copious guests that flow in and out of the Tritonsâ doors. Decorated in an ocean/beach theme, because Athena thought she was very funny and now it is a bit of an inside joke that they wonât change.
8. Underwater Grotto
Instead of entering the washroom, if one looks straight on after turning right down the main hall, they will spot a door with a state-of-the-art lock on it. If asked, a Triton will reply with a laugh and--depending on who it is--you will get any number of responses as to what the room is used for, from a superhero lair to their father being paranoid about storage. The mysteries of what is in the Triton basement are revealed to only a select few. Behind the door is an indoor saltwater pool. Damp and dark, the pool is magically enhanced to be quite large and deep, perfect for mermaids. The floors and walls are made of stone, so the whole place looks more like a cave than a room. It has an inclining entrance to the pool and spreads the length and width, with a few places for sitting around the edges and dotted in the center in large rock croppings. The Tritons can often be found here with each other or the other mermaids/selkies in Swynlake. It is known as a haven for mercreatures of all kinds.
9. Upstairs Hallway
Back at the front of the house, if one does not enter the hallway, they have the option to ascend the plain staircase. (If one looks behind the staircase to the wall, one will see dozens of notches in the wall, labeled with dates, heights, and names of the Triton girls.) Along the wall leading upwards is a collage of family photos that cover the wall in the most typical fashion one can imagine. On the second floor, the stairs float in the middle of a large hallway. Directly in front of the top of the stairs is the master bedroom. Up slightly and to the left is the Adella and Aristaâs room, up slightly and to the right is Aquata and Alanaâs room. If one turns around, they will see Arielâs room to their left and Attina and Andrinaâs room to the right, as well as another set of stairs that leads upwards once more.Â
10. Attina and Andrinaâs Room
The two eldest Triton girlsâ room has been vacant for several years, though is often still used by either or both girls when they are home for holidays or other such events. In their youth, the room was haphazardly decorated on one side--with mostly pink decor; on the other side was a more tidy version--mostly decorated in orange. It has two desks, one for each girl, as well as a spacious closet that was shared (and the site of many battles.) Now, it is mostly barebones but vestiges of Andrina and Attinaâs childhood and adolescence remain. Often, Alana commandeers the room as her own, or second room, nowadays.Â
11. Attina, Andrina, Adella, and Aristaâs Restroom
The bathroom is shared between four sisters: Attina, Andrina, Adella, and Arista and was also a site of much contention. The counter was full of products and it was always a battle for getting ready in the morning, especially in the unfortunate years when all four girls were in secondary at the same time. Arista would always somehow manage to use someone elseâs hairbrush and it was extremely obvious by the blonde hair left behind. The little racks and shelves are decorated with shells on the outside of them from when they used to go hunting the beach in Bournemouth for the prettiest shell. Thereâs jars full of them still somewhere in the house. Itâs a lot less cluttered now that Arista and Adella mostly use it.
12. Adella and Aristaâs Room
Adellaâs side of the room is closest to the window. The head of her bed is pushed against the wall, and her nightstand tableâs top drawer is where her hearing aids live while she sleeps. Her desk was never used for school work - sheâd go elsewhere in the house for that - and instead houses her sewing machine. Her guitar is mounted on the wall when she isnât using it, the guitar is decorated with political, ideological, and cute stickers. On the nightstand is a cute little touch to turn on lamp with seahorses on it. There are battery-pack powered strings of lights all over the room as decoration, hung neatly around any posters and other wall decor. The main light in the room is barely flicked on -its usually illuminated by the battery pack lights and the nightstand lamps, or natural light from the sun.
Aristaâs side of the room is closest to the door because she doesnât like thunderstorms and the changing weather always used to distract her when she was younger so her desk is next to her bed and turned to face away from the window. She has a rolling spinny chair that sheâs frequently seen curled up in and writing on a notebook in her lap. Her desk is filled with sheet music and notebooks and binders full of all sorts of things that Tina helped her make so she could keep track of what music and manuals went with what instrument. She has cases of instruments and spare parts and shoe boxes under her bed from all the Christmases when she didnât know what to tell people she wanted aside from shoes and cool instrument accessories. Typically Arista tries to keep all of the instruments in the music room because if she starts bringing them into their room, things get very cluttered very fast and it would stress Tina out and distract her from other things growing up so she just learned to keep most instruments in their designated room. (A keyboard or extra guitar still sometimes manages to find its way into their room every now and then though). Aristaâs nightstands have several sets of earphones, headphones, earbuds, and a bowl of guitar picks on top of them so she can just grab one and go. On the nightstand is a pull chain lamp covered in shells. Much of Risâ closet organization was Tinaâs doing, itâs the only way the two girls managed to have closet space with her ever growing shoe collection and sentimental keepsakes stash (she doesnât like throwing a lot of things away because they hold happy memories) in addition to their clothes. Her wall has both a dry erase board of âthings she absolutely cannot forget aboutâ for the week and a large cork board filled with all the showcases sheâd played in, playbills from the productions sheâd worked on, postcards of cities from tour, and photos of her sisters with her making the biggest smile imaginable.
13. Aquata and Alanaâs Room
Alana and Aquata's room has light blue walls, a color chosen by Aquata before Ariel was born and neither knew that they'd share a room one day. Alana's side is closer to the window, since Aquata historically got up earlier and had to leave earlier. On Alana's end, there are boho tapestries,fairy lights, and strings of photos and scrapbook style bulletin boards. The bed has purple and turquoise sheets and is full of throw pillows. The desk opposite the bed used to have a pretty fancy video and computer setup (it's now with her in her flat) There's tons of candles and also just a lot of...stuff in general. Even though she doesn't live there anymore, it's not near clean. Clothes, makeup, half completed experiments litter the available surfaces. Aquataâs side is somewhat neater and sparser. She has a shelf full of swimming memorabilia (photos, trophies, medals, etc) above her bed and the rest of her sport memorabilia is on a smaller bookshelf at the foot of her bed. She also has a signed team photo framed at the head of her bed from her last meet at Pride U. Her bedspread is a steely blue color and over it she has a T-shirt quilt made out of old swim camp shirts that date back to primary school. Aquata doesnât spend much time in her room, so it doesnât look overly lived-in.
14. Aquata, Alana, and Arielâs Restroom
It used to be a lot messier when Alana lived here, absolutely chaotic on her side with products and hair curlers and stuff that Aquata always had to yell at her to clean up. Sometimes the sink would be colored with whatever experiment Lana was working on. Arielâs space is small considering the few beauty products she actually has. Shockingly, it's the most cleaned space she has designated to herself, but only because of her current lack of interest in makeup. Though a couple small pallets for events are stowed away in a drawer, theyâve hardly been put to good use. Really, itâs mostly just the essentials for her. Aquataâs space is mostly clean as well, with one trusty makeup set that she almost always uses (occasionally sheâll borrow something from Alana if itâs a special occasion). She does have an absolute mess of scrunchies, headbands, and hair ties in one of the drawers, and she usually leaves her Tiger Balm out on the counter.Â
15. Arielâs Room
With Ariel being the only Triton sister with her own room, she takes full advantage of the space. Sheâs able to spread her things about (or leave clothes lying around when sheâs in a rush), and not argue or worry about someone elseâs space or an imaginary divider in the room. The room is decorated in an array of posters from bands she adores to the newest anime sheâs binging with Finn and just had to have the poster for. Sheâs also a big fan of hanging Christmas lights haphazardly around her room and using that as a source of light instead of the actual ceiling lights in her room. When home, she spends most of her time here, so the bed is rarely ever made. Instead, the blankets are in the shape she left them, normally nest like, where she spends hours on her computer from watching drumming videos to just browsing odd forums late into the night. Of course, her trusty shark plush since childhood, Billy, is present on her bed at all times, holding down the fort when sheâs gone.
16. Master Bedroom and Bathroom
The master bedroom is the largest bedroom in the Triton household. It is decorated in warm, muted colors. Much has not changed in the years after Athenaâs death. Even some of her clothes are still in the closet, which Triton never had the heart to remove. It is only a few items: her favorite sunhat, a dress he had bought her for her birthday she wore all the time, her favorite pair of trainers, well-worn, stuff such as that, that was not removed to the attic.Â
17. Tritonâs Study
A place of mostly mystery to the girls when young, Tritonâs study is tucked away on the third floor, and is most often frequented by Triton on restless nights when he cannot sleep. Though, it is also used while he runs his business from home on occasion. The room is one of the more decadent of the house. The rest has a warm, inviting atmosphere, but the study is much more reserved. Decorated in deep blues and greens, it boasts lovely oak bookshelves, of which Triton is very fond. There is a large desk and even a deep brown leather couch, which Triton can often be found napping on before dinner.
18. Athenaâs Studio
A room that has been untouched since the death of Athena, the studio was once a bright, lovely space where Athena spent much of her time that was not occupied by caring for her seven daughters or when she was not out volunteering in various charity positions. Athena was not as talented an artist as a musician, but she still enjoyed creating things. Athenaâs studio was a charming crafting space, full of yarn, scrapbooking, canvases on easels, and other such projects. Some are still unfinished.
19. Guest Bedroom/Old Playroom
This room used to be where the girls had their playroom so that their parents could keep an eye on them while they were upstairs also. It has only been packed up and converted in the last ten years or so, after ARiel finally grew out of it mostly. Now, itâs just a nice guest space for when people are over.
20. Attic
The attic in the Triton household is less of a storage space and more of a tomb for Athena. After her death, all of her possessions were moved to this space, except for the jewelry, clothing, and knick-knacks which were distributed amongst her family and friends. There is also a large storage of photos from the girlsâ childhood. While many litter the house, the extras and all of Athenaâs scrapbooks were put away in the attic. The attic is seldom visited, except for when someone is searching for Christmas decorations, or the like.Â
#triton house#mersisters#mersisters stuff#inspiration#i have had this done for like TWO years#fuck me lmao#no time like the present i GUESS#shout out to everyone for contributing <3#it's a little out dated bc obvi adella has left since but#oh well

Are we going to play the game "where's Chris?" I think in LA ... đ¤
More Anons:
âHe's in a mystery room again looks like.â
âLooks like it's still in his MA houseďźâ
âHe may still be in Boston when I shoot these videos for ASP, he looks similar to the background behind him in Cuomo's interview on CNN...â
âDo you think he's in LA now for TGM? I feel like that area looks vaguely familiar but I can't think if it's his LA or MA house.â
********************
His LA house doesnât have that many doors (weird, I know, but itâs a more modern open floorplan). Historically, when heâs done Zoom calls in LA, itâs been very easy to figure it out.
This one is harder, and has a white door and trim. Iâm inclined to say Massachusetts....HOWEVER, until we hear the interview, we wonât know when it was made. It could be days or weeks old. It could also have been made in a heretofore unseen room in LA. We canât be 100% sure.

This has been on my mind a lot and Islamic why because itâs random and irrelevant but Piper and Leo had 3 kids. As far as we know thereâs only 3 bedrooms, so do you think Wyatt and Chris had to share a room until one moved out or??? Sorry if I sound annoying or stupid. Itâs late and I have no common sense to stop me. I can be dense.
Itâs late and I have no common sense to stop me. I can be dense. should literally just be like the new motto of this blog what are we if not all impulsive lil lads sending whatever charmed thots currently passing thru our brains onto tumblr dot com. but yeah okay so the way i think about it is wyatt and chris very likely shared a room throughout childhood as they just had like a pretty small age delta. like we saw iâm pretty sure in the show there was like The Nursery and both wyatt and chris lived there as babies at the same time. I think by the time that melinda had rolled around, especially considering that both paige and phoebe had fully moved out by then, wyatt and chris probably got promoted to their own individual rooms and melinda got The Nursery (because obviously there were two extra bedrooms while there was also a nursery as we saw in episodes like cheaper by the coven and imaginary fiends when there was a place there like a room And phoebe and paige still lived in the manor). so, like, if iâm to work with the logic of there are only three bedrooms, i think once melinda gets promoted to bedroom she gets her own and wyatt and chris would end up in the same room But. i mean like. the manor is so huge, right? like itâs three stories. i guess four if you count the basement (yes iâm counting the attic as a story) (also, a basement? in san francisco? which they literally like brought up in their episode with an earthquake like um?? thereâs a reason u donât put basements on the san andreas fault like i think u can maybe guess why. theyâve got it tho!!) and like. weâre pretty familiar with the floorplan of the ground floor with the foyer to sitting room to the living room to the solarium to the dining room to the kitchen with a lil bonus laundry room as well. itâs big. so i feel like we can assume there are just like more than three bedrooms? like, in season 8 we had billie staying in the manor, though that might have been in phoebeâs room. other evidence against the potential of guest bedrooms is that paige moved into prueâs old room, which i feel like you wouldnât do unless your guest bedroom is shitty. and your guest bedroom isnât supposed to be shitty, like itâs supposed to be the opposite but as previously established by handyman leo frequenting the house early on the joint was probably in shambles and prue piper and phoebe probably just selected the nicest three rooms and left the bad room empty. more evidence for this theory is the fact that we never heard of the girls sharing a room, meaning that, growing up, grams would have a bedroom, and each sister would have their own personal bedroom. and then like, on top of this, again, the manor is huge. and leoâs crafty. i feel like the odds of, if they didnât have a 4th bedroom, piper and leo constructing one is like pretty high. idk. the halliwell manor is like insanely vague with its layout shout out to the bathroom that became a closet and just the entire mystery of the second floor. my heart says each kid had their own individual bedroom.
#sims people it's your time to shine#if u have a sims halliwell manor how many bedrooms u got what's the 411#charmed#đ

so i was wondering why the mansion in ME! makes no sense to me then i realized some things.
you see this foyer? itâs gigantic. like itâs the size of one house on its own. With long pathways to go to other rooms, not to mention the apartment and the hallway upstairs.
but you can see that she has neighbors, so that makes zero sense at first. and anyone saw the curved dead end street too? weird, right?
then cut to this scene where Brendon jumped out (i never think before i jump?) from the balcony.. seriously, how high is this house?! you can see that the houses surrounding it are tall but not as tall.. confusing!
and in the law of physics, you fall from a higher place to a lower one, which means that the unicorn gargoyle building is actually lower than the first jumping point.. and this building is already one of the tallest building out there.. how is that even possible?
now, at first i thought this was a castle because i paid too much attention to the background (which has london landmarks for some reason?! but thatâs another story) BUT IT TURNS OUT TO BE MULTIPLE HOUSES COMBINED TO MAKE A CASTLE. that explains the height and the area and confusing floorplan.
you can see the curved Star Shaped pavement in this scene matches the one surrounding the castle/house transformer. And for some reason it shaped like a star? thatâs a mystery that i havenât cracked yet.
But in conclusion, whatâs inside may not seem like the outside at all, and she literally built a castle out of all the bricks they threw at her. and also Brendon and Taylor had an entire nation in their backyard.
Thank you for reading this architecture related post. Iâm both inspired and even more confused at the same time right now.

Chapter 2
An island in Istanbul and Bill Murray between two worlds
Floorplan and Section (Gods whom we create in our own image)
Hill, Balcony - public
Dear past self,
Itâs called the Maidenâs tower. Long time ago, a sultan ordered the construction of the tower on a small islet, to escape the predictions of an oracle that saw the death of his daughter by the time of her 18th birthday by a snake bite. Her father confined her up in the tower in the middle of the Marmara Sea to keep her safe. On her 18th birthday to celebrate that she had survived, he brought her a basket of fresh fruits. A bee hidden between the fruits bit her, and as according to the prophecy she died.
I needed a new land, a new race, a new language; and, although I couldnât have put it into words then, I needed a new mystery. [7]
I am standing on the Camlica hill, looking down over the great two Bosporus shores and the two bridges that connect two worlds. Itâs the East and the West mimicking each other. The reason of imitation has its roots in our desire to escape from ourselves. [17].Â
Does the West then want to escape from itself by imitating the East or does the East try to escape from itself by simulating the West?
I remained a part of the night seated in a balcony, from which I had a view of a great part of the horizon.[19]
Think of Sultanahmet with the grand Hagia Sophia. Hagia Sophia is like me, and I am like her: an actor that for thousands of years metamorphosed between different masks of Christianity and Islam. No matter what face it took, it stayed the same: pure, luminous, noble, serene in the great horizon of land and water. Can I remain noble and pure?
On one side of the great hall of the house is a noble oriel window, full of shields of arms : a balcony, overlooking the hall, runs round the other three sides, and into this balcony the doors of the first floor chambers open.[20].Â
Looking at Hagia Sophia makes me think of the balcony from which the Pope usually gives his blessing, as he does in the churches of St. John Lateran and Santa Maria Maggiore.[17] From the terrace of my tower I will also bless the people in the boats watching me. I will shout to them: âBless me, sir, take care of yourself, the enemy approaches.â[21]
Jimmy Kimmel once asked me why I do such crazy things. "I think we all do that," I said. "We all pretty much do what we want."Â

Where Do London's Mysterious Overhead Footbridges Go?
Most bridges have an obvious purpose, such as transcending a road or railway line. It's the ones whose purposes aren't so clear that cause us an itch that needs scratching... we went investigating. Villiers Street, Charing Cross Photo: bjg_snaps The footbridge pictured above stretches over Villiers Street between Embankment and Strand. It was built in 1878 to join the extension of the Charing Cross Hotel (now the Amba Hotel Charing Cross) on the eastern side of Villiers Street to the original building on the western side, but there's little information available about the bridge today. From the outside, it's not even clear whether the hotel still owns the extension on the other side of the street. The bridge exterior is decorated in the same manner as the hotel's conservatory-style restaurant which can be seen from Strand, but lacking any other evidence, we did the only sensible thing and went into the hotel for a nose around. We're pleased to confirm that the bridge is indeed still functioning. Here's what it looks like on the inside: Photo: Londonist What's more, the hallway leading up to the bridge (on the first floor of the main hotel building, close to The Terrace restaurant) is a mini museum to the hotel, with photos, maps, floorplans and even advertising posters of the hotel throughout its lifetime: Photo: Londonist Liberty, Kingly Street Liberty department store has not one but two footbridges built into it â although the three storey one in the foreground of the picture below is taller than plenty of houses, so we don't know if it legitimately counts as a bridge. Photo: Londonist The building on the left hand side of this photo is the main Liberty shop, and the one on the right is on Regent Street â the building where the Liberty empire began. The two bridges were added to the building at separate times. We asked Liberty about the bridges, but they never got back to us, so once again, we did our own exploring inside the store. Unfortunately the bridges aren't accessible to the public today (although we did see a member of staff using a keycard to access the three storey one, so they are still in use). Enter the store via the door on the corner of Kingly and Great Marlborough Streets, head up to the third floor and you'll see this door in the corner â that's the door that leads onto the bigger bridge. A similarly placed identical door one floor down also leads to the bridge. Photo: Londonist Go down another flight of stairs, to the first floor, and this time look to the left of the staircase. Behind this white concertina door is another door, which leads to the smaller of the two bridges. Again, it's off limits to the public. Photo: Londonist Sherwood Street, Piccadilly Circus We've covered this one before. The bridge was part of The Regent Palace Hotel, the largest hotel in Europe when it was built in 1914, and linked the hotel to its laundry room and staff quarters. The hotel is long since gone, but the building, including the bridge, is Grade II listed. Photo: Londonist However, we can't find any information about who owns or uses the bridge today. What was once the hotel is now apartments, and the building at the other end of the bridge is ensconced in scaffolding at the time of writing. What we do know is that the bridge is in use â lights can be see on inside it. If you know what this bridge is, please solve the mystery in the comments below. Floral Street, Covent Garden Photo: shadow_in_the_water The official name of this one is the Bridge of Aspiration, but we prefer to think of it as the twisty bridge. We always assumed it belonged to offices, but it actually connects the Royal Ballet School to the Royal Opera House (and for this reason, has also been referred to as the 'dancing bridge'). We love the thought of ballerinas pirouetting their way across it in tutus on their way to perform. Alas, it's not open to the public. It's a relative newbie to the London footbridge scene, designed by Wilkinson Eyre and completed in 2003. Here's what the inside looks like. To be honest, it reminds us of a rotating tunnel is a fairground funhouse. Shad Thames Photo: Francesco Camardo This former industrial area next to Tower Bridge has multiple bridges, criss-crossing above the cobbled streets. They date back to when the buildings were used as warehouses, and were for rolling barrels full of goods between different warehouses. Today, the ones which are in use are employed as balconies by the lucky devils who live in the apartments here. Waterloo Road Photo: Londonist We've already ascertained that Waterloo and Waterloo East stations are practically in different postcode zones from each other. To get directly from one to the other, you have to use a footbridge elevated over Waterloo Road (the silver offering in the above photos). But below this tunnel â which looks like something Elon Musk could have designed â is another, slightly better-looking, if shabby, bridge, which used to join the stations, carrying trains from London Bridge to Waterloo until the 1950s. These days the bridge is used as storage space (although we can think of a better use for it). (The blue bridge in the background is the railway bridge carrying trains between Waterloo East and Charing Cross). Which bridges have we missed? Let us know in the comments below.

also the mystery of the thermostat that does nothing continues bc i saw listing photos of another house in the neighborhood with our same floorplan and it also has the same thermostat in the same place as the one we took out???Â
Like why would a house with wall unit AC have a central AC thermostat installed???
It doesnât control the wall unit and itâs not for the heat upstairs bc all the bedrooms have their own thermostats so ???

Year 1: Spring -von GrĂźnbrunn-
Do you hear the ringing sound of the motor saws? A professional team of the government (this mysterious entity...) cleared up some space, so the settlers can build their new houses. A way to the beach is also paved, so the seasonal resource-ship can access.
Above you see the new households: Nina Spreng (the architect), Wiebert Bär and Bodo Unterhßgel (who are BFFs by now), Phillipa and Vernik Rosenfels (the family, who will most likely run a grocer) and the cute family Morena with Olaf, Lizette and Ted.
But where is the founder, Heinrich von GrĂźnbrunn?
I decided to let him stay in the camp-lot (as it was already haunted). I cleared up most of the wildlife and built him a nice new home. :)
The first one to visit is Wiebert.
Heinrich: Arenât we doing great so far? I can see our town growing already!
Wiebert: Donât get too excited. We donât even have running water or electrcity. Are you going to do something about that?
Heinrich: Iâm working on it!! D:<
Yeah, electricity and running water are still locked, because Bodo and Heinrich arenât best friends yet. Still, I figured, it is okay for every family to have a plain normal fridge and a bathtub inside their houses. Nina made sure every house has a room, that later may become a proper bathroom.
If youâre interested: Under the cut is a floorplan of Heinrichâs house.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey buys Raven Lyn a multi-million dollar starter house
A few days ago, good olâ Vlad the Revealer queried Yolanda about who bought an eye-catching contemporary located way high up in the Hollywood Hills, on a quiet street just off iconic Mulholland Drive. Interestingly, records reveal the property was acquired by a mysteriously-named entity set up by a prominent Silicon Valley-based lady lawyer famous for having a very well-heeled clientele, including many of the richest people in tech.
Some of Ms. Lawyerâs clients include Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobsâ widow Laurene, Googleâs Sergey and Larry Brin, and Riot Games co-founder Brandon Beck. And thatâs just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. So naturally Yolandaâs curiosity was piqued.
Well, a wee bit of research reveals â much to our surprise â that the brand-new contemporary homeâs proud new owner is actually a 23-year-old model named Raven Lyn Corneil.
Young Miss Corneil was raised in Minneapolis and comes from a multi-ethnic background â sheâs Native American, black, Irish and Puerto Rican. Several years ago she moved to LA and quickly took the modeling world by storm: she recently landed a coveted spot as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, just for starters. Hereâs a video of her rookie photoshoot debut, if anyone is interested.
Miss Corneil has also been in Vogue and done campaigns for Calvin Klein and Puma XO. But when sheâs not busy with photoshoots, she trundles around town in her $150,000 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and shows off her new home and dizzying collection of luxury goods to Coveteur.
Yâall might be wondering where Miss Corneil gets the moolah to pay cash for a $4,225,000 house, plus all her other accessories. And Yolanda is here to serve. See, thereâs this guy named Jack Dorsey. He co-founded both Square and Twitter and currently serves as CEO of both companies. Forbes claims Mr. Dorsey is worth $4.1 billion, making him one of the wealthiest folks in Silicon Valley.
Now in his early 40s, Mr. Dorsey has never been married and has no children. Heâs also notoriously private â some might even say secretive âabout his love life, so naturally the society gossip crowd fainted dead away last September (2018) when he showed up to New York Fashion Week with none other than Miss Corneil on his arm. Well, fan Yolandaâs brow!
Then, just a few days ago, the pair took a romantic Caribbean holiday together. Ah, those crazy lovebirds.
We know some of yâall naysayers are scratching your heads, wondering what a model in her early 20s and a tech bazillionaire in his 40s have in common. But itâs worth noting that Mr. Dorsey worked as a fashion model himself prior to founding Twitter. Perhaps he and his lady-love share posing tips and such?
But anywho, Yolanda congratulates the happy couple on their new Hollywood Hills lovenest. The house was purchased for Miss Corneil while Mr. Dorsey continues to reside at his $10 million San Francisco pad, although we imagine he occasionally drops by to play paddy-cake. So to speak. But who knows, right?
Spec-built in 2017 by a local developer, the glassy residence is situated on a .22-acre corner lot with views over a large swath of the San Fernando Valley. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in a roomy (but not huge) 3,730-square-feet of living space.
Called the Skywin Residence, the home was designed by ANDStudio and features a âreverse floorplanâ as the listing terms it. Yolanda gathers that means that most of the homeâs bedrooms/living quarters are located on the lower level, while the public rooms and entertainment spaces are upstairs.
A short stairway leads past the two-car garage (perfect for Miss Corneilâs G-Wagen) to the break-in resistant Oikos security front door â behind which is a long corridor and a loft-like staircase.
Naturally thereâs also a high-end security system with multiple cameras, alarms and probably a laser grid to zap any fool who dares to come within 50 feet of the property.
All three of the homeâs guest/family bedrooms are located on the first floor, and thereâs also an office space immediately to the left of the entryway that could be converted into a fifth bedroom. At the rear of the lower level is a games room with foosball table and big floppy couch.
Miss Corneil will no doubt appreciate the convenient open-concept space with the kitchen, living and dining rooms all combined into one. There are high-end Miele and Subzero appliances, exotic-looking wood cabinetry, and bar-style seating for casual dining.
Disappearing Fleetwood walls of glass lead from the indoor space to the expansive outdoor deck, with its various seating/dining options and full outdoor kitchen. A flight of stairs carries one down to the pool/spa combo (and wee patch of grass) on the lower level.
Also on the upper level is the homeâs master suite. The bedroom has walls of glass overlooking Studio City, the walk-in closet can easily accommodate Miss Corneilâs designer wardrobe, and the bathroom has dual vanities plus a soaking tub and glass-enclosed shower.
Should our gurl deign to throw a friendly neighborhood BBQ at her new digs, the invite list would likely include producer Sam Maydew, Glee actor Chris Colfer and Modern Family actress Julie Bowen.
Take heed of Miss Corneil, yâall real estate watchers. She may be very young, but the lady is loaded. And her story is only just beginning. Yolanda imagines that if she maintains her relationship for a couple more years, sheâll have earned that upgrade to an eight-figure pad in the Bird Streets or even Bel Air.
As they say, the skyâs the limit â so watch Raven soar.
Listing agent: Brian Ades, Sothebyâs International Realty Raven Lynâs agent: Ben Belack, The Agency

For Sale: Flat of Requirement
My initial thought at reading the spoiler that the Turners will be preparing to move house was one of excitement - it means baby Turner is well on its way and we wonât need to agonize over the puzzle that has been the Flat of Requirement floorplan anymore.
But after thought, seeing the Turners leave the flat - and all its quirks - that has been their home will be bittersweet.
It was Shelaghâs first home after Nonnatus House - where she grew to know Patrick outside of the confines of a habit and convent, where she sought refuge before the wedding, where she learned to be a wife and mother, first stumbling as she navigated both a new home and new roles until she became comfortable in both, where they welcomed Angela and (thought they had) completed their new family. Â The flat that had been only Patrickâs and Timothyâs until it also became Shelaghâs and eventually Angelaâs. Â
Still, I always wondered if how Shelagh felt about âmaking a homeâ in a flat that  was still furnished and decorated by her husbandâs late wife.  Shelagh doesnât seem the type to be fussy about interior design or coordinating paint swatches with fabrics - she has fairly simple tastes and doesnât worry about superficial things that money can buy.  But Iâm sure at least once - perhaps a year into their marriage when she found her footing - sheâs glanced at the curtains or a painting on the wall or the pattern on the tea set and remembered they were chosen and used by a different woman who residing in that flat with Patrick and Timothy long before Shelagh herself did. I think Shelagh would feel a tinge of sadness - for the wife and mother who made the home and is no longer living - mixed with a tiny bit of loss at not having the chance to create her own home with her own touches and personality. Again, I donât think Shelagh is too concerned with decorating, but many women of that time prided themselves in keeping a nice home and I think Shelagh may at times have felt a bit cheated out of the opportunity to do that. Moving to a new flat will give Shelagh this chance she never really had - to put her mark on a blank canvas that will be her âforeverâ home.
Our first visit to the Turner home showed us a stark contrast to the rundown tenement flats we were used to seeing in Poplar - dark and damp crowded rooms, shoddy electric and water, communal toilets shared by multiple families. Â But the Turner home revealed how the middle class lived - matching furniture set, a television, heavy curtains, finer details like crown molding and a fireplace flanked by beautifully crafted bookshelves, not just one dining table but two with one in the kitchen. Â We saw all the comforts it offered while feeling comfortable itself - cozy, welcoming, not cold or sterile or fancy.
After 3+ seasons, the flat has become comfortable and familiar to us, like it did Shelagh after she first moved in. Sure it has its flaws - the gold seating that some would sooner see used for firewood, a dining room table with only 3 chairs to seat 4 people, a secret door that may or may not lead to a black hole (or Narnia) and a staircase that goes neither up nor down -- but itâs familiar, itâs comfortable and it is the home in which weâve watched the new Turner family grow. And I will be sad to leave it.
But, alas, the flat that was once quiet with too much empty space for a widower and his son is about to become a crowded home to a busy family of five, buzzing with energy.
I really am pleased the Turners are in fact moving because we donât even know if there was a third bedroom for Angela to move into - how could the Flat of Requirement accommodate a new baby? Letâs be real, figuring out which of the Turner children would be relegated to the alcove behind the doors of a secret cupboard behind the staircase of mystery would have been too much for our already fried fan brains to bear.
The Turner family has officially outgrown the flat and there could be no more fitting way to welcome a baby and embark on the newest chapter of their journey than by moving into a fresh new space together as a family.

A Review of âThe Devil is a Part-Timer! Volume 4âł (Novel)
Something I like about the whole series of books is how well they flow in and out of each other. Each volume introduces elements that will become important later, follows up on things left unresolved in the last one, and manages to tell a satisfying stand alone story in between.
THAT said though, this particular volume is comparatively worse at telling its own self contained story than the other ones, which should not be the case since this book doesnât even take place in the same location as any of the other books. Or at least, the main plot doesnât. It takes them half the book to leave Sasazuka and get to the beach town of Choshi, and then after that the book is nearly over by the time the major plot starts happening. Granted, the slow pacing is something you kinda learn to live with in this series, but in this book it was particularly noticable, as it constantly seemed to be building to having its own story, which ended as soon as it got started.Â
Another thing I like about all the books is that its often not said who is speaking when people say stuff. Everyone just has such a unique voice that you just always know who it is, even if its not totally in character for them to say it. It lets the book keep a quick pace when it needs to. idk I like it.
One thing Volume 4 definitely excels at is the illustrations. While there are definitely some I like in the others, the ones I like in this one are absolutely stunning. Like, look at this picture of Crestia Bell holding a sparkler. Its been my phoneâs lockscreen for like a month now I LOvee it its beautiful.Â
One slightly disappointing thing about this volume, though, is that it left out some of the extra stuff these novels typically come with. It has a little fold out poster thing, like the previous volume, but previous installments have also had resumes of new characters the book introduced, as well as other things like the floorplan of Villa Rosa Sasazuka appartments, or a blueprint of Urushiharaâs computer closet and how he was able to keep cool in that stuffy cramped space inside their non-air-conditioned apartment. You know, fun things like that. This volume has none of those things. It doesnât even have an afterward from the illustrator this time around. And the one from the author seemed much shorter than the ones in previous books.Â
That stuff was just so well done in previous volumes that I came to expect something from it. If thereâs one thing I dont like about this volume, is that the lack of effort put into that stuff makes it feel less special. I wouldnât even notice it were it the first book, but this isnât the first book, and it wouldnât work as the first book. So it must be judged compared to the others.Â
Still, the fact that the Authorâs afterword and other stuff is all nitpicky, no matter how special those things felt in the other volumes. Lets talk about the characters and plot of THIS book. and, fair warning, Iâm gonna get pretty spoilery this time around. I may ruin the book for you a bit, if you havenât read it yourself.Â
The book mainly focuses on Maou answering the question of whether or not he really is going to one day return to being Devil King, and use his forces to conquer the Earth; and Emi answering the question of whether or not she really is willing to work with Maou to defeat the forces that are conspiring against them and Alas Ramus.Â
Part of the reason the pacing seems so slow in this book in particular is that a large amount of this book is devoted to people talking about these questions, and the two protagonists continuing to put off answering them, just like they have for the previous few books, until the climax when both have no real choice but to answer. And despite the fact that I already said the pacing bothered me, the discussion was almost all good discussion. Especially whenever Chiho was involved.Â
Chiho plays a huge role in this book, and despite not being present in the climax, it feels like a bigger role than sheâs had in any of the other three. Sheâs constantly working to make sure Maou works with Emi, and sheâs the one that brings up the fact that one day Maou will reclaim his throne, and return to his warring ways. But after her development in Volume 3, sheâs become very accepting of this, and even proudly declares that sheâll make herself so invaluable, Maou will make her a General in his army, something that stuns Maou, despite him unintentionally helping give her the idea in the previous book.Â
Maouâs development is really nice in this book. Up til this point its usually been somewhat nebulous how serious he really is about certain things. Here, we get a pretty clear picture that he really does want to rule the earth, but he really doesnât want to wipe out humanity. In fact, he doesnât think theyâre much different from him, and he really enjoys working with them. Also, thereâs a really great scene, or rather, good chunk of the book dedicated to Maou showing off his management skills. Through most of this book, MgRonaldâs is closed due to renovations. Instead, Maou and co all get jobs at a beach house down by the beach. And when they get there, they discover its a bit of a dump. Maou basically figures out how to fix what he can, cover up what he canât, and turn a profit despite having to pay for a lot of what he was fixing.Â
It sounds really boring when I say it like that, but the whole series is based on seeing the mundane through the eyes of people from a world without all of what we consider boring and normal. Making that kind of thing interesting is where these books have always excelled.Â
Emiâs development is what gets more focus, though. Chiho sort of takes it for granted that Maou will eventually become a fusion of the nice man she knows, and the Devil King she knows he used to be. What she doesnât know for sure is whether or not they can count on Emi being on their side. Emi and Maou have sort of gotten lucky in the past, and ended up working together out of necessity in circumstances. Chi knows theyâll need each other even more once their enemies work together to really launch a good attack at them, but she also knows that Emi is stubborn and prideful, and will need convincing.Â
While I think Emiâs arc in the previous arc was done a bit better, this is a big step for her that flows naturally from the ending of the Alas Ramus story, and clearly needs to happen before the story can move on. What happens is hardly surprising, but still a notable change from where Emi was at the start of the series, reluctant to even share an umbrella with the Devil King, much less allow him, Alciel, and Lucifer to fly into battle alongside her, and tell their fellow Demons that she is under their protection.Â
SPEAKING of Lucifer, the best part about this book is that he gets a LOT more character development than heâs ever gotten. This is the first book that I feel like the whole of his character is represented at once. In the first book, he was an antagonist, and kept largely to the shadows. In the second and third book, he was revealed to be a lazy, antisocial brat whoâd rather hide in the closet than be forced to interact with anybody. The anime gave him a lot of stuff to do through the second story arc that isnât in the second book at all. In fact, his portrayal in the back half of the anime is the largest difference between the anime and the books. And as much as I really like what they did there, its not what happens here.Â
Anyways, this book follows him for a lot of the story, and really does a nice job of showing both sides of his character. Heâs lazy and whiny, but heâs also really powerful, and smart about predicting what their enemies are up to. Heâs forced to work through part of the book, and thereâs more than one scene where he and Emi interact that I really like. They both have the connection of having traveled with Olba Meyer, and Lucifer starts to worry about him coming back, which leads into Emiâs arc and what sheâs going through... Anyways, its good. Lucifer is one of the best characters, and after him being largely absent from the previous book, it was nice to see him be so prominently featured.Â
The book also deals with the mystery of who Maouâs landlady is, but we dont learn much, and what we do learn is more about her Niece, Amane, who we meet in this book, than about the landlady herself. Amane is a nice character who I hope shows up again, but we really dont see enough of her for me to be sure.Â
The book also introduces a couple more Demon characters from Maouâs old army. Most prominently, Camio, who was Maouâs steward in the Demon Realm while Maou was away at war. In future installments I suspect he will act sort of like Emeralda does for Emi, but working for Maou instead, obviously.Â
The villains of the book are Demons too, but theyâre all forgettable and only even present in like one scene.Â
Lets see, is there anything Iâm missing?
Oh yes! The prologue focuses entirely on Emeralda Etuva, giving us much more of her character than I think weâve ever gotten before. It largely teases that Demons are coming in this book, which they do, as well as hinting at some sweet sweet Ente Isla politics that I think will be important in the next book. Iâve been wanting more of her character since I first watched the anime, and while this didnât justify her importance as much as Iâd like, it sated me until the next book, at least.Â
Crestia Bell and Alciel both had VERY little to do in this book. Alciel has always been my favorite character, and if I remember right he didnât get any real focus in the last book either. So that sucks. Bell meanwhile had arcs in both the last two, so her absence felt earned, and made me appreciate the times when she did say and do stuff much more. Not that I ever disliked her before, but her distance from the important bits of the plot allowed her brief times onscreen to be more relaxed and lighthearted than she usually is. BUT from the Epilogue of this book and the back of the next book, Iâve gathered that Volume Five will heavily involve both of them due to Ente Isla politics and Ashiyaâs love interest playing big roles there.Â
So, Iâll see you guys once Iâve finished that!Â
