Fear & Hunger the first has some references and quotes to other media (resident evil, the last of us. etc.) meanwhile Fear & Hunger 2 is a Majora’s Mask horror parody that is actually Battle Royale in nature set inside a Silent Hill clone town. Like you know they went all out for this one. Daniil Dankovsky is even in it.

i want to clarify a bit on the weird kinks bit since a lot of people are asking about that, and let me preface by saying that i myself am mostly vanilla so my definition of weird kink could very much vary from yours. also, obviously people are allowed to draw or write or headcanon any character however they want, but i felt like digging a little deeper and ask the question of why is this particular character being written/drawn/headcanoned in this particular way.

going through the trans daniil dankovsky tag on ao3 i've aready stumbled across a gore, body horror, suicide fic, a blood and gore, body horror non consensual body modification fic, a bloodplay fic, another gore body horror suicidal idiaton self mutilation fic and that's on the first page alone. a similar trend is not noticed in the burakhovsky fics where daniil is written a cis. these are among other kinks i remember noticing when going through the burakhovsky tag such ass piss kinks, non consensual fics etc. in my opinion it's defenitely worth asking the question of why daniil is headcannoned as trans and simultaneously written into these type of situations so often.

you're right in pointing out the dichotomy between daniil and artemy in those fics. i think a huge reason why im concerned with this trend is partly because i see the dynamic of slutty promiscuous kinky trans daniil vs clueless vanilla inexperienced cis artemy being reproduced a lot.

im not really sure what people mean by feminising him either? i feel like they maybe could mean attributing non canon traditionally feminine character traits in him. but im not sure

at some point a discussion needs to be had about why so many people here headcanon daniil as trans then make him extremely slutty and promiscuous and then portray him as having the weirdest kinks imaginable

AAHHH!! That is okay, the fic is tagged ‘fridge horror’ for a reason! Thank you so much for taking time to read it, I’ve talked a bit about the chapter under the cut!!

Artemy believed that all of the bad omens had been caused by breaking Kin tradition by marrying somebody he wasn’t in a real relationship with. He is then led to believe the real problem is that Daniil isn’t personally invested in the relationship, which tortures Artemy once he finds out Daniil is, in fact, gay and could therefore learn to love Artemy – if only they had the time (bulls dying too quickly and etc to justify giving them the time).

So over the course of chapter 9, Artemy learns that pretty much all of the bad omens had actually been manufactured by people who want to politically ruin him, and that he and Daniil actually have a chance of staying alive during their marriage. He even gets close to confessing his feelings for Daniil, and gets hints that Daniil may feel similarly;  things finally look like they are being resolved!....

….until Clara turns up.  Clara turns up, and she implies that through some action, some manipulation, Artemy has ‘twisted brains’ in order to create something new. Something that loves him, too. The horrifying realisation Artemy has at the end of the chapter is about whether or not Daniil is ‘real’.

He suddenly remembers the times that Daniil has been open to his culture, and how he was suspiciously adapt at cutting along the lines. All of this, from a man who had been staunchly against Kin traditions… it makes Artemy wonder. When was the last time he saw the real Bachelor Dankovsky?
