the stark shadows work fantastically here, at once making the characters feel so striking and graphic (and REALLY making the intensity of lapis' eyes click) while also all the more effectively enmeshing them into the photo-background.

For once in my life, I feel relatively interested in and willing to do background work. I guess SU had what it took to crack open that part of me all along!

Here's some Homeworld colonies: a hydrothermal vent outpost, one of Blue Diamond's many waterworlds, and an abandoned colony on a gas giant.

My new favorite gemcyt headcanon is that Joel offered to teach Jimmy sword fighting because he wanted the practice for when he infiltrated homeworld to see his diamond again it'd be nice if Jimmy could defend Scott in a battle ^^

How time flies! I put in an unfinished White Diamond here. I redrew these about a year and four months ago, I just never got around to posting them. I don’t think I’m going to finish White Diamond, so enjoy!
