spider boy could be such an interesting comic if it was written right. like there's something really interesting to me about your greatest enemy being the woman who doesn't even remember making you what you are. eli & bailey were clearly good friends when they were trapped together, and the brief flashback we got definitely showed that bailey's life was made better by having someone on his side while he was being experimented on, but what does that mean for eli, who doesn't remember any of that? "what is my life like if i'm not in it" is a cool question for a book to ask, it's just that in practice, most of it looks like an incredibly annoying 10 year old goin "you mean you DONT KNOW about evil mr ice cream man who would have frozen the ENTIRE WORLD if i hadn't stopped it??"

and i mean like. judy garrick exists now also so i'd probably just rather read her book instead
