What are the gangs favorite type of video games to play? Weather it’s Mario, Pokémon, sports, rhythm games, horror games, etc etc.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. YOU ACTIVATED MY TRAP CARD!!!! Now...
Poppy prefers tabletop games more, but she can be often caught playing or seeing someone else playing The Sims. She LOVES that game - Angel has The Sims 2 installed on their computer, and when they all move to a bigger house Poppy gets her own PC so she can play TS2 as much as she wants.
Kissy doesn't play much on her own, but she really loves 3D platformers and adventure games. Her favorites are the og Spyro the Dragon trilogy! I think she loves watching others play pokémon as well.
Huggy loves racing games. Get anything with a car and he's instantly in love with it.
I can Mommy Long Legs making super over-the-top stories on The Sims 2 as well, so she and Poppy often share news of what their sims are doing. They are both active in forums and are trying to make their own custom content for the game!
Bunzo is a pokémon guy.
PJ Pug-a-Pillar doesn't like playing games in general but he LOVES watching others play, esp if there's lots of cutscenes. It's like watching a movie!
Miss Delight falls in love with Portal 2 when it's released, but I think she's really picky with her puzzle games. She likes being a bit creative on her solutions! She's also really into RPGs. I think the Fallout franchise is her comfort game.
Catnap and Craftycorn are walking Silent Hill encyclopedias, but they LOOOOVE survival horror. Catnap's fav is the original SH1, while Craftycorn loves Haunting Ground (PS2) and SH3.
Bobby on the other hand prefers Resident Evil and Clock Tower 3, but when it's not horror it's definitely a more experimental game. She cries everytime she plays Shadow of the Colossus but she loves it.
Bubba, much like Miss Delight, is SUPER into RPGs and puzzle games, but pokémon and Ace Attorney have conquered his heart. He LOOOVES gushing about it!
Picky's favorite is Animal Crossing! It makes her feel safe and she loves just walking around her town. She made a really impressive one and everyone wants updates from her villagers, Picky loves giving them.
Kickin can't get enough of any FPS or action-adventure game, and he can and WILL ragequit if he's playing online and his teammates start being rude to him or each other. Thankfully he learned really quick how to deal with the more toxic players so now he can truly relax. Unfortunately doomed to become a League of Legends player when it comes out.
Hoppy also loves FPS, but 3D platformers and open-world games are her favorites. Anything that gives her plenty of freedom to move around or just be silly immediately catches her attention! I think she becomes a Team Fortress 2 player.
Dogday prefers to watch rather than play and he gets SO invested. I think Miss Delight likes playing puzzle games with him because they figure out solutions together, but if Dogday were to chose a game for himself to play it would probably be a rythimn game. It gives him the zoomies.
The other smaller toys all have their own individual preferences, so talking about them is more complicated!
Everyone becomes obsessed with Minecraft when it's released. Catch Catnap pranking everyone on their shared beta server by pretending to be Herobrine.
When Angel gets them an Xbox 360 they have many game nights where they play on the Kinect.
Speaking of which, Angel is down to play literally everything, but all the toys know they aren't very keen on anything horror-related. Not because it's scary, it's just that Angel finds them boring after surviving Playtime Co. They probably have an encyclopedia-level knowledge of pokémon, tho.
Prototype doesn't play videogames, but enjoyes watching the others play. Just don't put ANY war games in front of him and we're all good, otherwise he stops watching.

Q! Brazilians Background, Lore and Summary, as I could gather from Day One
Backstory:
Felps is at fault for crashing the boat, he didn't had a license for controlling the ship since he thought it was just like riding a bike
Pac, Mike and Cellbit already have a story together, Pac and Mike have been previously betrayed and saw friends die due to Cellbit's fault
Pac and Mike are a Duo, Do Not Separate
Cellbit and Felps have been friends for ages
Pac and Mike have a backstory when dealing with Herobrine, coming from an old rp series called "Herobrine: The Legend", where they started getting haunted by Herobrine at age 14, managed to banish it around their 17s, and then it came back to haunt them when they were 19, and its still around
Forever had a lover, Brunim, that looks eerily similar to Phil and it's the reason Forever is obsessed with Phil and took such a hit when Phil kept pushing him away
Q!Characters server lore and summary:
Forever has brought weed with him in the boat, and made a deal with Quackity to create a prison, lock up everyone, and get rich with a drug empire
Later, all Brazilians agreed to make a mafia without anyone else knowing
When Richarlyson was adopted, first thing they all did was teach him how to steal quick and then how to kill. That diamond sword of his is crazy
Forever didn't care much for Richarlyson at first, leaving him with the other 4
He went after Philza, finding him with Tallulah, Chayenne, Dapper and BBH. He and Phil fought when Phil offered to help him build a home, when Forever wanted to live with him
Forever then said he didn't want Philza as his sugar daddy anymore, and left their place crying
He then decided he'd build a prison and lock up Phil to force Phil to love him
Forever got tricked by Quackity at first into believing Tallulah was Q's child and that Phil had kidnapped her and vowed to help
Later, when Cellbit went find Forever, Quackity tried to convince him of the same. Cellbit talked to BBH and made a deal to get some itens or else he'd help Quackity get Tallulah, BBH payed him
Quackity and Cellbit fought, Quackity started berating all the eggs, and Cellbit stepped in when Quackity talked about Richas, saying Q only hated the eggs because he had none
Quackity jumped off the wall, and so Cellbit felt guilty and offered 1% of Richas' paternity to Q, who accepted
Meanwhile, Pac, Mike and Felps were almost dying to a LOT of mobs while trying to find a place to settle. Richas was honestly the MVP here bc he defended all 3 of them when they barely had armor and weapons
(Between these two things happening, Forever was trying to find Pac, Mike and Felps)
They regrouped and everyone grumpily accepted Q as one of Richarlyson's dad, they had settles over a couple of mounts and decided they'd build a big house complex on the hillside (A favela)
Suddenly, they saw a white man walking around and Richarlyson had disappeared. Out Of Character, what happened was that the mod Richas' admin was using crashed and he stopped looking like an egg, but Quackity managed to save it lore wise by saying it was Osito Bimbo/Cucurucho that had kidnapped Richas so everyone went with that as well
Richarlyson showed up fine couple mins later
While everyone went out to gather wood and food, Cellbit went with Richas to mine
As they were digging down, Richas fell into a cave, with Cellbit immediately jumping for him and managing to kill some mobs and get Richas out of there
He told Richas to not tell his other dads that they fell into the cave, but else they went down carefully
Cellbit met Felps building, and got him to go down with him and Richarlyson to the cave
This is when Richas died
Cellbit immediately held Felps to make up a lie to make up for their failure. They settled in saying a "Cloaked figure with white eyes, probably a Necromancer, invoked tens of Skeletons that killed them and Richas", hoping to take advantage of Pac and Mike's trauma with Herobrine to be believed
Cellbit's plan worked when Pac immediately asked if it was Herobrine who took Richas' life, but when Q overheard the talk he said it was probably Cucurucho again who killed the egg
After this, things became more chill with Richas. He stayed with Mike building their favela while Pac and Cellbit went down to mine
Here is when the things get a bit more freaky, Pac and Cellbit went all the way down to bedrock and found a weird, man-made cave system, lightened up with torches. It didn't seem like strip mining, since there were literally no holes in the walls that would indicate that an ore was mined out
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They kept exploring and ended up lost and had to dig their way up
All the time they joked it was Cucurucho's tunnels and he was going to be upset with them
Meanwhile, Forever got back worried for Richas' death, and so he stuck around to help protect him
Felps, Mike and Forever made a farm, and also a bed for Richarlyson, plus Mike had made a canvas and painted Richas a nice painting of him :)
Someone trapped a chest they had next to the farm, someone they just saw a glimpse of, and when Felps opened the chest, it exploded and killed him
Time passed and soon BBH came by to see how they were, he then noticed Osito Bimbo watching them and Forever and Cellbit chased him down, since he started running. Cellbit got distracted by BBH calling him and Forever kept chasing
BBH warned that Richas was too vulnerable by sleeping in the living room since people could just kill him when they weren't looking
So, naturally, they build a secret room behind a wall and locked Richarlyson in there with stone since they had no means to build a fancy door
Cellbit then talked to BBH in private, since BBH had similar characteristics as the Necromancer Cellbit had made up (white eyes, cloak) and asked BBH to pretend to be the Necromancer to help him out
BBH agreed
They finally managed to build a security door, locking Richarlyson in there (it's NOT a captivity room) and then covering the door with a painting
They all logged out after that
Richarlyson got his life back since it was his first day

So I went on a bit of a Minecraft horror bender this Halloween and I found some cool nice mods and fun stories, but there was something else I found that was really interesting.
It involves the infamous Minecraft legend of Herobrine, the spooky Steve skin with white eyes. Apparently it was discovered that he has his origins in a different story about another Minecraft monster called White Eyes, a skeleton-spider creature that haunted caves and menaced players, but that’s not all. White Eyes was also described as a female monster
You know what that means?

a list of mods/modpacks i'd like to rattle legundo around in (elaboration under the cut):
From The Fog + Sleepless (no official download yet; here's a link to the series currently showcasing it)
The Hubris of Magic
Into The Betweenlands / Into The Betweenlands 2
Aylyth
Nevermore (Manic + Sanguine)
Dimensional Doors again
From The Fog + Sleepless (no official download yet yada yada here's the link again)
the extremely atmospheric Herobrine mod from Haunted Winter, but with a second Lunar Eclipse creation based on urban legends of the Winchester Mystery Manor.
every night, you must set your bed in a different room of your house, or Bad Things Will Happen. the rooms of the house must be connected to each other. beds can't be placed too near to where other beds were, or Bad Things Will Happen.
Sleepless turns Minecraft into a frantic crawl to get enough materials to build more and more rooms onto an ever-more-convoluted house, and it's great. pairing it with From The Fog is just kind of a given to me, but it also goes great with decor mods and other atmospheric horror mods.
this is the reason this post exists. i want this playthrough to happen so bad. Legundo's former title in Decem is the Architect for god's sake. he needs to be subjected to some house of leaves nonsense more than anything else, and it needs to be his fault.
pair with the Immersive Portals mod for extra HoL.
The Hubris of Magic
a 1.7 modpack focusing around the classic magic mod Thaumcraft, where the world is hostile and covered in sculk i mean Taint
1.7 is a hard sell, i know. here's the thing; Hubris is one of those classic "survive a horrid infection" mods, like Sculk Horde, but it's like that -- at peak infection -- by default. everything is purple, the ground wants to kill you, the corrupt magic is nearly inescapable, there are even magic nodes that want very badly to eat you
it has some of the most iconic magic mods in existence -- chief among them being Thaumcraft and Botania, of course! i also just think it has some great atmosphere and requires fun lateral thinking in terms of how to go about setting up an area that can't be infected.
everything being infected means that villagers are a super endangered species, by the way! good luck.
Into The Betweenlands / Into The Betweenlands 2 (or just play Betweenlands i guess)
a lovely 1.12 modpack that places the player directly into the swamp hell dimension known as the Betweenlands with a handful of other mods. have fun!!!!!! don't die!!!
wow, tumblr user solar betweenlands wants people to play the Betweenlands. fork found in kitchen. no, but in all seriousness, the Betweenlands is one of my favorite ever mods and it has some absolutely killer atmosphere.
i've chosen i2btl and i2btl2 because they're fully balanced modpacks that put you right in the dimension to begin with, but i mean, i would love to see a custom modpack tooled around the Betweenlands as well!
the Betweenlands really forces you to engage with a lot of its mechanics and is basically a survival horror mod that actually understood the "survival" part of that genre premise. resources are always scarce, picking fights isn't always a good idea, and the dimension itself is chewing away at you.
Aylyth
it's like the Betweenlands but in the woods instead of the swamp and also the dimension itself really wants to kill you this time
i don't have a lot to add. it's an acceptable Betweenlands runner-up for me.
Nevermore (Manic + Sanguine)
a datapack/mod combo adding Dark Magics and just straight-up blood magic. has its own extra narsty blood moons and some really fun (in)sanity mechanics.
i love Manic a lot. it's got a fascinatingly unique method of ingame documentation and some seriously cool spritework. Sanguine has some really neat pixel gore as well! they're both super cool.
seriously though Manic owns when it comes to eldritch horror mods. i am chewing on it. i'm recommending Nevermore because i feel like Manic and Sanguine are kind of a Do Not Separate Them deal.
Dimensional Doors again
dimdoors is good and i like it

Heya! Could i request uhh. A moodboard based on herobrine, a minecraft based creepypasta legend? Except make it kinda slow and bittersweet but just a tiny bit angsty, instead of scary? Almost giving a "haunted by the narrative" kinda vibe. I dont have much to go off besides that except that id like a lot of muted blue/green tones and Nature Things like trees or berries :] thank u !!

Herobrine (Minecraft, creepypasta) with muted blue and green, berries, trees, and a sense of being haunted by the narrative!

A random compilation of Creepy Minecraft Stuff
With the announcement of the Pale Garden and the Creaking, I decided to make a quick list of random Horrors tm that Minecraft has. For this I am only including official stuff produced by Mojang, no mods or fan stuff here.
This was made in a rush so some stuff may be incorrect or missing curcial info. Feel free to correct me and add your own additions!
FAR LANDS
During the Indev Phase, MC was introduced to 'infinite world generation'. Players discovered that if you travelled between 12,550,821 to 12,550,824 blocks from the world origin, the Noise Generator (which is what helps shape the terrain of an MC world) would stop working and begin to generate random world terrain with no rhyme or rhythm.
Attempting to go any further would eventually result in the game no longer registering blocks and leading players to fall into the void.
Below is a screenshot of an example of the Far Lands.
Tumblr media
HEROBRINE
A famous Creepypasta started in 4Chan and popularised by a streamer known as Copeland. During a standard stream he was playing the game as normal when he noticed in the distance a copy of the player model Steve, but with white eyes. Copeland ended the stream shortly and thus began the legend of Herobrine.
From there it began to spread, with may theories and speculations about who or what Herobrine is. Some details include
Stalking players from a distance
Building Sand Pyramids in the ocean
Making 2 x 2 tunnels
Others believed it was Notch's dead brother haunting the game.
As of writing this (30/09/2024) Herobrine has not existed in any version of vanilla Minecraft, nor is there any entity that behaves or acts like him. Herobrine however does exist in official Minecraft media, such as the Update Logs showing they have 'removed Herobrine', official artwork and as a player skin in the Console Editions of the game.
Img_01 Screenshot of the Stream
Tumblr media
Img_02 Herobrine removed in the update log
Tumblr media
Img_03 Herobrine in some promo art (see if you can find him)
Tumblr media
CAVE SOUNDS
Minecraft has various ambient noises that play in specific areas. In Caves they have a much more industrial vibe to them, which combined with the atmosphere, dark fog and increased Mob spawns make it much more sinister. You don't need to be in a cave, if you're near one they will still play.
Sounds include winds, wooshes, violins, metallic bojects moving and echos.
Link to some cave sounds: here
SOUL SAND
The texture for Soul Sand has what appears to look like scared faces. The original theme of the Nether was hell so it could be seen as trapped souls.
Tumblr media
BASALT DELTAS BIOME
Basalt Deltas is a biome in the Nether. The biome itself resembles the aftermath of an apocalyptic event. The blocks are all grey or dark, their are ashes that constantly float through and various lava pools will spawn. The sound of ticking can be heard in the ambience.
A popular fan theory I enjoy is that the Basalt Deltas is the aftermath of a nuclear bomb. The block types resemble the destroyed debris, the floating particles are the ash and dust and the ticking is a Geiger counter going off.
Tumblr media
That's all I have for now. Please share any other examples you can think of and I'll make a part 2 to this post.

I was kinda skeptical about “Journey to the End” as a movie adaptation for Minecraft – it seemed to me like the studio was taking a lot of risks – but they absolutely pulled it off.
I was worried that a linear narrative about Alex and Steve making their way to defeat the Ender Dragon would be too simplistic and not really deliver the creative aspect inherent in an open world sandbox game, but after watching it, it’s clear the writers were very thoughtful as to how the story should unfold. The film feels like a tour of a Minecraft world more than a plot or even character driven film. It is in and of itself an exploration of Minecraft and its various biomes and inhabitants and the implied lore hidden in the various structures. Steve and Alex’s journey to get to the End is simply the vehicle through which the film shows you this vast world since you yourself are unable to explore like you can in game.
The lack of any verbal communication between Steve and Alex really adds to this. Anytime they communicate it is purely through combining simplistic gestures, much like how people communicate in multiplayer. The only kind of speech is the grunts and sighs made by the various Illagers and the Piglins, which are left untranslated to the audience, further emphasising how Steve and Alex are alone together, travelling through a vast and rich world and it is the world which creates the story.
It really feels like an introduction to Minecraft, but it avoids the pitfalls of being condescending to the audience or over-explaining. “Journey to the End” is just as the title calls it; “Hey. Let’s go on a journey. Take my hand. I wonder what we’ll see on the way?” Even though it is undoubtedly a movie about Minecraft, it is crafted to be enjoyed just as easily by someone who has never played the game. There isn’t some lore dump for newcomers. All the information the audience needs is given through environmental storytelling.
And speaking of, I appreciate that the film added to the lore in the same style that Minecraft builds its own lore. Throughout the film are subtle details that, when an audience really thinks about it, raise questions that have no solid answers. Why did that rogue ravager suddenly turn against the pillagers controlling it after seeing the blacksmith ring the village bell? Why did the guardians seem friendly, perhaps even eager to see Steve, until they got closer? How did Alex know which was the right enchantment even though we see Steve unable to read the enchantment language? Who else could have taught Alex to read if not Steve? Who built that little abandoned cobblestone shelter they found in the Nether? It encourages the audience to build their own story and theories just as the game does, the world brought to life not only by the gorgeous, dynamic animation and faithful art style, but by the audience’s own imagination.
The subtle nod to Herobrine was also nice. I think keeping him as just a silent, haunting character in the far background, appearing only at the very beginning of the film and when Steve and Alex enter the Nether and End. It’s very blink-and-you’ll-miss-it. I had to rewind and pause a few times to spot him. But it’s a great nod to fans of Minecraft who spot him in the film without ruining the mystery surrounding the Herobrine urban legend.
Overall it’s very clear that the animators and writers and even the small team of voice actors that did the mob sounds all love Minecraft and love the film they made. The film exudes love for the game. It feels like they wanted to say “Hey, we love Minecraft, here’s why!” And managed to capture in a bottle the lightening that is playing Minecraft for the first time and discovering new things. It’s a film that’s made not just for kids or for old Minecraft fans, but both. For anyone who has ever loved Minecraft. It shows that animated films and films primarily aimed at children can still have depth and meaning and care put into them.
The end credits being in the style of the End Poem was a nice touch too :)
It would be funny if we goncharoved a better minecraft movie
It would have to have a proper name and not The Minecraft Movie TM so the abomination doesn’t get clout but

Do we think Drake likes to cover up as much as he can when it rains because of his half enderman side which is why he hates water?

Journal Entry #17 Endermen are the only creatures known to inhabit every dimension. You'll find them everywhere from the Overworld, The Nether, and of course, The End. Appearances tend to not vary too much. Each with silky, blackish-purple skin or fur; long, floppy ears; jaws that glitch and unhinge; and their signature long arms and legs. Although they are traveling creatures, they tend to mirror their environment, similar to how mooshrooms evolved. Becoming one with nature, Endermen in warped forests will gain turquoise undertones and warped fungi and roots begin to grow off them. Mouth and eyes have a warm glow like that of shroomlights. Endermen found in snowy biomes have ice-blue or grey undertones and their fur grows longer to protect them from the cold. Occasionally, you can see spikes and icicles form along their slender form. In The End, Endermen are taller, with longer horns and brighter eyes. They're more easy to anger, and sometimes you'll find that they have small wings on their back. You can imagine how it works with the rest of the biomes, but the endermen type that alludes almost all is one called "Farlander". While there are legends of them in the Overworld, most are bogus. Along with these myths, there are whispers of a land known as "The Aether". A world so similar yet so different from our own. Not many have tried to venture there, though the ones that have reportedly succeeded, never came back. Except one. But he wasn't the same, he had changed. He came back with paler skin and glowing eyes. Along with appearance, his personality was different. He became elusive and haunting. People describe him as omnipotent but not benevolent. Herobrine. He broke off connection between the Aether and other 3 dimensions. Some say there are places in the world where his powers don't reach, where you can open the portal. Where you can find the Farlanders. Akin to the land, they are a chilling species. They tower over you at 11 to 15 feet, neon green eyes complementing their cloud white skin. They're docile creatures and more evolved then the other Endermen. They've formed communities and towns in The Aether, and while they are ... eerie, Farlanders are quite nice and welcoming. The language barrier is large, but its easy to navigate without understanding their tongue. They wear long, flowing clothes and often are adorned with emeralds, gold, and a blue stone known as "Zanite". Hopefully, in the future, can we fix the connection of the realms and we can introduce them to Overworld once again.

I like this. The idea of a cryptid initially not being malicious or even all that unfriendly per se, until their legend becomes popular and they become more aggressive because of people harassing them. Because even with non-digital urban legends, you know there are people who are obnoxious about them. Not obnoxious as in "I think it's cringy how much you like that thing" (I don't at all, urban legends are cool) but as in "it's super rude to go to places related to urban legends and knowingly be disruptive."
My state, Virginia, has a legend about a statue that's said to be haunted. She's known as Black Aggie and if I remember correctly, she supposedly will kill people who sit in her lap or taunt her. Here's the thing: the statue was part of a memorial in a graveyard. She had to be moved to an unknown private location because so many people would get in there and mess around with her and even deface her. I would probably become pretty malevolent too, if jackasses kept covering me in spray paint, disturbing the peace of the burial plot I guarded, and refusing to respect my privacy. I imagine Herobrine would be similar.
I think a lot about the fact that Herobrine as a creepypasta initially was not malicious at all. Like literally he was just some guy who made very specific tunnels, cut leaves off trees and built pyramids in your world, all weird things but really not harmful. Like his worst crime was telling someone on a forum to fuck off when they kept talking about him. But then with time there's been all this additional detail added on like the redstone torches and traps and shrines and he's seemingly gotten more aggressive as an entity within writing and other media. Like he'll actively go out of his way to hinder the player in game or in some depictions irl in some way. All of this is to say I think the more we tried to figure out Herobrine and shit the more we pissed him off a little. Give the man some space I'm sure he's tired of the 12 year olds trying to summon him every other day.
