SCP#: AGN

Code Name: The Onryō infection

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: The house where SCP-AGN is contained has been bought by the Foundation. AFA-3's disguised as a human family are to live in the area and regularly maintain the house. They are to regularly monitory SCP-AGN presence, on a monthly basis a D Class is to be sent to the house as a caretaker to see what will happen. 

Description: SCP-AGN is a Japanese house possessed by the ghost of a woman and her son who were killed by their abusive husband before committing suicide. Because of the horrific and traumatic experiences before dying as well as the massive betrayal, the wife became an Onryō. For those that don't know, Onryō's are demons born form the souls of wives betrayed by their husbands after they and their children are killed by said husband. They mostly existed during the Meiji era and became nearly extinct afterwards. Why this phenomenon only happens in Japan is unknown. 

SCP-AGN is possessed by the Onryō of the wife as well as the spirits of the son and the husband. Regularly they will torment and even kill anyone who enters the house. It should be noted that although leaving the house is rather easy, that does not free one form SCP-AGN's influence. After being in the house just once, SCP-AGN will curse anyone who enters and torments them for about a week or so. Afterwards they will either kill themselves out of insanity and despair or be killed by one of the Onryō's stalking them.

If someone dies by the hands of the Onryō form SCP-AGN and their death is in their own house, there is a 5% chance they will become an Onryō as well. This will result in their own house becoming an SCP-AGN-1 instance. It should be noted that when this happens it doesn't matter what the ethnicity of the victim is, weather they are Japanese, Korean, Mexican, or even American there is still a 5% they will become a Onryō regardless. The only way to break this curse would be to burn the affected house down. Another method would be to counter act SCP-AGN's curse with another curse though such a method is reckless and considered stupid to try to commit. 

SCP-AGN was discovered in 2002 when a series of mysterious and horrific deaths were reported in [data expunged] area of Japan. The local Japanese police discovered that the only connection to ever death was that it all originated from SCP-AGN's location. Mobile Task Force Poseidon-3 "Otaku Heart" quickly took over the case and found anything they could regarding SCP-AGN. Once the existence of SCP-AGN-1 instances were discovered, they were quickly burned down by MTF Poseidon-3. The Cover story was that an arsonist criminal went on a rampage.

Once SCP-AGN was located the house was bought by the Foundation. careful testing with D Class and AFA-3 units disguised as humans confirmed that SCP-AGN only recognizes humans and kills them. As such AFA-3's were used to keep SCP-AGN and the local population was allowed to flourish again. 

The cover story regarding SCP-AGN murders was that a killer cult was causing all the recent and horrific deaths. Several sexual assaulters and murderers who were never caught were located by Foundation data banks on civilians. Evidence was planted in their homes and the police were given anonymous tips by MTF Poseidon-3. With their new falsified crimes as well as their previous unreported crimes brought to light, they were all arrested and processed into the Foundation as D Class. With that, the public was left in peace while SCP-AGN was contained.
