Once again, Fallout fans prove they don't pay attention to the games they play because tell me why someone said that NCR was still a strong empire that got unfairly destroyed in the show when New Vegas basically tells us they were dooming themselves through their expansion efforts, through which that, even if Hank didn't drop the nuke on their heads, they still would have doomed themselves anyway

In fact, for centuries, many many men with power saw the ability to extort sex from people, not exclusively women but all women fell into this category, over whom they had power as an integral and natural part of that power. It was a perk. A reason to become powerful in the first place.

When women started at least getting something out of this preexisting system of exploitation-- when they got just enough social capital to increase the quid pro quo from "and I don't hurt you" or "maybe something pretty if I'm feeling generous" to something a little more tangible and fungible-- is when this got reframed as women somehow extorting (powerful, remember, the kind of men who could make accusations from women go away) men or trading prowess at sex for positions or opportunities for which they were unqualified.

She's plenty qualified. It's just that the gatekeeper doesn't care about her qualifications. He wants to flex his power, he wants what he sees as his due, and she can either give it to him or go without. And that's been the same since Eve. No wonder they got mad when women started talking to each other about it.
