#overwatch 1 ending really is the most relevant overwatch has been in years huh LOL#the game really just sorta floundered out of the public consciousness. probs big part cause of all of the activision blizzard work issues#i know OWL still existed n shit. probs still relevant to some circles. but overall i havent seen any interest in it in awhile outside of#again. discussing activision blizzard being shitty#i stopped caring about the game a long time ago but theres a big ossue outside of overwatch where always online games like it can#literally just disappear overnight. so much of games history is just going to be missing cause for these games theres no way to preserve#them. corporate decides its not worth it to keep anymore and then its just gone forever. its really fucked#a lot of games today just lack that preservability either through gameplay or physically not existing anymore#in the future you wont be able to just go back and be like huh remember fortnite or whatever? and then just pop it in and play it again#cause it just wont be there. or theres nothing there to do.#or some gamer whos never experienced it wont be able to try it for the first time. like how streamers are always finding old physical media#like on the nes or old computers that they can emulate and see for the first time#like theres so many games in the current era that will just be lost media forever#anyway i think im just rambling now im done lol. art just feels a bit bleak at the moment
