🌈✨CRINGETOBER 2024✨🌈 DAY 4: FURSONA / FURSUIT (?) (Bloody ver. and character information under the cut!)

I did not expect my introduction to my OC-verse was going to be drawing two of my antagonists but, here we are. It's Batty Time.

SO, these two come from my main universe, MIDNIGHT VIGILANTES. The most basic rundown is that it's a superhero story where the heroes and most villains are vampires, but it's also about celebrity culture and the worship over pieces of media that are dear to you, but maybe also damaging to you.

This is Batty! Batty is a person who wears the mascot head of the character, ABBY BATTY, from the children's cartoon BE CAREFUL, ABBY BATTY! It's kind of got a Smurfs formula of cute animals running away from a witch who wants to use them in their potions. It's obviously very old but it's one of those giant franchises that stick around because the characters are cutesy and look good on merchandise.

Batty the person is not related to the fictional character. They're simply someone who uses the mascot head to hide their identity and creep people out. The eyes and mouth are digital, and are trained to turn on and off based on lights and movement. The mouth really only follows along to recorded lines. Think those Furbies with the digital eyes, or those animatronics that have a screened-on-face, and you're in the same ballpark.

They're one of the first major antagonists my protags face off against, given they're you know, an actual murderer. They're kind of Joker-coded, they're kind of Chucky-coded.

Molly is the bald woman in the panel. She's a programmer who helps out with various clients throughout my story. She does work with Batty, but she doesn't really know who Batty is or even why they're doing what they do. She’s just getting paid, and finds the mystery intriguing. And maybe they kiss!!!

The panel is a redraw from the manga, Billy Bat! The actual context is probably even wilder than you'd think. IYKYK.

Heres some au headcannon type things

So as you may know my oc (sage) is roommates with horror characters, and includes them in videos, whether it is masks suits or the characters themselves. And it may get a little confusing how I change the backstory on some. So I decided to write a little things to keep track of whatever I end up doing with this little channel.

Michael Audrey Myers; based off of og mikey. his sister Laurie was brutally murdered by an unknown killer, whom he still searches for to this day and still resents with his whole heart. His closest friend is himself. He tries not to get close with any of the other characters and only decides to be in their little videos to make them happy. Takes his mask off inside, usually changes into something other than coveralls when indoors and not "working". Him and ghostface go back and forth pretty often fighting verbally and physically. Him and Jason also do not have a good relationship. Sage understands him a little easier than the rest of them do, because she is the only ones with siblings. Michael in this AU still killed the rest of his family.

Jason Voorhees; he was adopted by Pam Voorhees since birth, and doesn't have much to do with his original parents. He drowned the same was MU Jason did, having a facial deformity and all. He is also slightly autistic (I think everyone in this AU is though- I genuinely haven't done enough with Jason to actually write stuff down 😭😭) He is more of the baby of the group. Definitely the youngest.

Ghostface/Billy Loomis; Billy is Horror/pop culture geek all the way, question? Answered. He also passes on the ghostface mantel to his roommates if they need a hand with a cover, he is very helpful tag-teaming with everyone in this AU nobody hates but nobody loves him. He is very helpful around the house as well, helping Michael clean while the rest are out doing their job during the daytime. He is also very crafty when coming up with ways to finish a job.

Sage Hallow Myers; (yes that's her full name, jumpscare.) Sage adopted Michael last name when she was summoned because of their brother/sister type bond. The language barrier not being up between them also helps. Neither of them talk to others often, by when they are by themselves...different story entirely, they even look alike unmasked. It's terrifying. Sage goes out the most often to do ministry or house runs, she does alot of the outside work while the others are cleaning inside. She loves decorating for every occasion.

I’m gonna speed run the basics of a lot of my homestuck ocs literally because I’m lonely and have no one to rant to right now

Festar Rudian, Bronzeblood: Festar is one to play it safe for the most part. He used to be more chaotic, but after an incident in which he nearly crushed his lusus with a tree(they didn’t get hit luckily), he’s been a lot more careful of what he does.

Irmeix Trazio, Bronzeblood: Trazio is very emotional in reality. They care deeply for anyone and everyone they form a bond with and losing them would take a huge toll. Seeing as this is viewed as weak in troll culture they keep up a facade of void, pretending not to care about anyone. Once they get a friend, they’re willing to lose their life to protect said friend.

Cirian Briden, Goldblood: Cirian often gets in a lot of trouble with other trolls(usually ones higher than him on the hemospectrum) due to how cocky he can be. Being this way got him into a little bit of a scuffle, causin him to get shot through his left horn(they were aiming for his head, and missed). He did not learn from this experience, and continued to be arrogant.

Carmel Dansen, Oliveblood: Carmel was a joke character in the beginning but he actually developed past that. Most trolls think he’s high constantly because of how he acts when for the most part he’s actually just socially oblivious. He likes things that are soft, and collects them. He also sews and designs clothes!! he’s best at making things like fursuits and plushies.

Stubbs, Indigoblood: Stubbs is interesting. Due to reasons I can’t explain well, he ended up on earth when he was still a grub, and grew up alongside a small kid who just assumed he was some sort of friendly monster under the bed.

Kanark Miango, Purpleblood: He’s the mom friend. He grew up hunting and other outdoor activities similar. He likes ramming into random things headfirst like a Billy goat sometimes. He cares deeply for his friends and will protect them to the best of his ability.

Mattre Optire, violetblood: Mattre is pretty cool. He likes all sorts of games, card games, video games, etc. He loves talkin about them if anyone will listen. He tries his best to give people a chance even if they’re rude, which is how he became friends with Cirian.

Bastar Exanor, Fuschiablood: One of my favorites, Bastar, was lined up to be in charge but she didn’t like the idea of the responsibility and stress, so she hid her blood color and went on the run. Of course there’s still the problem of the nightmare lusus, so she trusts Mattre to help her feed it while also avoiding being seen by anyone else. She’s(obviously) very wary of spilling blood and will back away at anything that has a chance of causing it.

Its a full evening of work so far in the head, and im proud of t so far! Not too happy abt the ears and eyebrows, but i'll see to fix that tomorrow.

And besides, i still need to add foam so the eyebrows abd cheeks dont stick out THAT much, so that might also fix it. I'll still probably change the ears tho. Probably make them bigger in width.
