Thereā€™s a lot of things that Gege has done in JJK that have broken my heartā€”Nanami, Gojo, Nobara, Megumi, etc., etc., you get the point.
BUT NONE HURT AS MUCH AS JUNPEI GOD DAMMIT
MAPPA WAS FUCKING CRUEL FOR PUTTING JUNPEI IN THE OPENING AND GIVING ME FALSE HOPE!!! (I was an anime only at the time.)

ā€œWho was that, Nanamin?ā€ Yuuji asked hesitantly. ā€œThat was my wife.ā€ Nanami explained to him, putting his phone away.Ā  ā€œItā€™s better if we talk about it on the way there. Come on, letā€™s get going. I donā€™t want the store to close on us.ā€ ā€œHuh?ā€ ā€œHuh? Itadoriā€“kun, are you okay?ā€ The shock is now more evident than ever before in Itadori Yuujiā€™s face. He was hysterical, stunned and dumbfounded. ā€œWhat? Nanamin, youā€™re married? You have a wife? Huh?ā€ "Itadoriā€“kun, please calm down." he began, his voice steady but tinged with an uncharacteristic gentleness. "Yes, I am married."

IT WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING, THE AFTERMATH. Every mission felt different. Every mission left a different taste, a different texture, a different feeling. And this wasnā€™t something that Nanami Kento was unfamiliar with. If he was being honest, heā€™d experienced all the sorts of emotions that come with being a Jujutsu sorcerer. But it was new to Itadori Yuuji. And it was devastating to watch.
It was almost as though the blond had returned to those days, that misery when Haibara Yu had died. He could remember being just as lost, being just as disgruntled and grievous. Every bit of it returned in a flash as he stood there, watching Yuuji grapple with the fresh wound of loss.
Itadori-kun hasnā€™t spoken since yesterday, not since they talked. But Nanami Kento had expected it as much. What does one say after such a tragedy? The boy who had died, the one named Junpeiā€”he was a comfort to Yuuji. He didnā€™t know Junpei as well as Yuuji did, but he knew that he was just a kid. A kid who was robbed of his life, of a chance.
Nanamiā€™s heart ached with a familiar pain as he watched Itadori Yuuji, who was sitting on the ground with his knees drawn to his chest, staring blankly ahead. It was an all-too-familiar sight, one that he had seen reflected in his own mirror years ago. The silence between them was thick, filled with the unspoken sorrow that hung heavily in the air.
He sighed as he saw the boy still at the edge of the schoolā€™s steps. His shoulders slumped and eyes fixed on the ground. The battle with the curse Mahito had taken its toll on everyone, but it seemed to have hit Yuuji the hardest. With Gojo Satoru still away on his overseas mission and Gojo Genmei's whereabouts uncertain, Nanami Kento felt the weight of responsibility settling heavily on his own shoulders. He couldnā€™t leave the boy alone. Not like this. He could see it in the young boyā€™s eyes. He needs relief, peace of mind.Ā
Ieiri Shoko and Kiyotaka Ijichi were good people, but Nanami knew they werenā€™t what Itadori-kun needed right now. Shoko was burdened with her own responsibilities, cleaning up the mess that curse left behind. Her duties as the school's medic were already overwhelming, and adding Yuuji's emotional turmoil to her plate would be unfair. Ijichi, on the other hand, was exhausted from going back and forth between missions, assisting wherever he was needed. He needed rest, not more stress.
Nanami sighed, racking his brain for a solution. No one else was to know that Itadori Yuuji was aliveā€”that was what Gojo Satoru had insisted on. It was dangerous to reveal Yuuji's survival, especially with the higher-ups likely to come after him. They wouldn't hesitate to use Yuuji as a pawn in their political games, and Nanami couldn't allow that to happen.
The weight of responsibility pressed heavily on Nanami's shoulders. If he failed to ensure Yuuji's well-being, it would be his fault. He couldnā€™t bear the thought of failing another young sorcerer, not after what had happened to Haibara. The memory of his own anguish, his own failure, was still too vivid, too painful.
As Nanami watched Yuuji sitting despondently, he felt a surge of determination. This boy, who had been thrust into a world of curses and death, needed guidance and protection. It wasnā€™t a sin, to be a child who needs protection from the cruel world. He needed someone, something. To live, to breathe. To be relieved.Ā  And it was up to Nanami to provide that. He would not let Itadori Yuuji fall into despair or danger.Ā
He approached Yuuji, who was still staring at the ground, lost in his own grief. "Itadoriā€“kun." he said softly, trying to reach through the boyā€™s sorrow. "Are you alright?ā€
Yuuji looked up, his eyes empty and haunted. "Oā€“oh, Iā€™m fine, Nanamin. Please donā€™t worry about meā€”ā€
"Iā€™d rather you be honest with me, Itadoriā€“kun." Nanami replied. "I know you're hurting. And I know it feels like youā€™re alone. But youā€™re not. You should not burden yourself with this anymore than you should.ā€
Yuujiā€™s gaze dropped again, and Nanami felt a pang of sympathy. The boy had been through so much in such a short time. He needed someone to anchor him, to help him navigate the turbulent waters of his emotions and the dangerous world he now inhabited.
ā€œBut Nanaminā€¦ā€
Haibara used to make that face too, Nanami thinks. That same expression of guilt and self-doubt, as if he hadnā€™t done enough, as if he should have been better. He could see it now, in Yuujiā€™s eyes. The weight of regret and the burden of what-ifs.
ā€œI justā€¦ā€ Yuujiā€™s voice cracked, his words trailing off. The pain and uncertainty were clear, and Nanamiā€™s heart ached with understanding.
"Gojo-san trusts you. And so do I," Nanami said, his eyes softening as he met Yuujiā€™s troubled gaze. "Youā€™ve shown incredible strength and resilience, Itadoriā€“kun. I told you that yesterday. Itā€™s okay to feel what youā€™re feeling. Itā€™s okay to grieve."
Yuujiā€™s lower lip trembled, and he bit down on it, trying to hold back the tears threatening to spill over. ā€œBut what ifā€¦ what if Iā€™m not strong enough? What if I fail again?ā€
Nanami shook his head slowly. ā€œStrength isnā€™t about never failing, Itadoriā€“kun. Itā€™s about getting back up, even when youā€™ve fallen. Itā€™s about continuing to fight, even when it seems impossible. Youā€™re stronger than you think, and you donā€™t have to do this alone.ā€
The boy looked down, his hands gripping his knees tightly. ā€œJunpeiā€¦ he was my friend. And I couldnā€™t save him.ā€
Nanamiā€™s grip on Yuujiā€™s shoulder tightened, offering a silent promise of support. ā€œWe canā€™t always save everyone. But we honor them by continuing to fight for others, by becoming better, stronger. Junpeiā€“kun wouldnā€™t want you to give up. Heā€™d want you to keep going, to keep trying.ā€
A tear slipped down Yuujiā€™s cheek, and he wiped it away with the back of his hand. ā€œI justā€¦ I donā€™t know if I can.ā€
ā€œYou can,ā€ Nanami assured him. ā€œAnd you will. Little by little. You can do it, Itadoriā€“kun.ā€
Itadori Yuuji didnā€™t respond immediately, but Nanami Kento could see a flicker of somethingā€”hope, maybeā€”in his eyes. It was a start. Little by little. He could feel the boyā€™s breathing become more even. He could see his features relax slightly, the tension he had vanishing. Nanami thinks that heā€™ll cry again, when Nanami isnā€™t there. But perhaps, this was enough. Seeing him be reassured once again, that it wasnā€™t his fault.Ā  Maybe one day, Nanami Kento would see him smile genuinely again.

WHENEVER HE SEES YOUR NAME ON SCREEN, HE SMILES.When he heard the familiar melody of his ringtone, Nanami Kento excused himself from Itadoriā€“kun and walked off to a more private area. The buzzing seclusion of Tokyo Jujutsu Highā€™s main stairwell faded as he found a quiet corner. He felt a pang of guilt for not replying to you much earlier. He can only think how much you were thinking about him, with a worried heart. He knew you understood, especially during times when he was on missions. But he thinks that understanding can only go so far. His job after all was something that was hard to grasp with relief.Ā
But you knew the demands of his work as a sorcerer, when he told you about it years and years ago. He wouldnā€™t leave the work, you know that much. So you let it be. As long as he came home to you, that was fine. And so, it has always been fine when you donā€™t get a text between some days. All these years, you had never pressured him about not replying or calling. The same understanding applied when you were engrossed in your manuscripts during writing season.Ā
At times, Nanami Kento wishes he could be a better husband for you. A husband that you deserve. A husband thatā€™s always there to coddle you, to take care of you, to love you. He thinks about it sometimes, if he were a househusband. He could commit his life to taking care of you, the way you had always done for him. Maybe one day heā€™d get that chance. Maybe heā€™d finally be able to return your love for him in a way that was true to loving you.
ā€œHello, my love.ā€ he greeted, trying to keep his tone cheerful. ā€œIā€™m sorry for not replying to you sooner.
ā€œKento, baby! Iā€™m so glad I caught you.ā€ you replied, your voice warm and bright. He loves it. He adores it when he hears that excited pitch. He was happiest when he could hear your voice. ā€œI havenā€™t heard from you all day.Ā  I hope everythingā€™s been alright at work, baby.ā€
Nanami Kento hesitated for a moment. He didnā€™t have the heart to tell you that he had almost died yesterday, that the mission had been far more dangerous than anticipated. He didnā€™t want to worry you. He doesnā€™t like it when he stresses you out. You were in enough pressure for your deadlines, he didnā€™t want to add to that.
ā€œYes, everythingā€™s fine, love.ā€ he said, forcing a smile even though you couldnā€™t see it. ā€œJust a bit busy, you know how it is.ā€
You sighed on the other end of the line, a sound filled with understanding and concern. ā€œI know. I just worry about you sometimes. Iā€™m a worry wart, you know?ā€
ā€œI know you do, my love.ā€ Nanami replied softly. ā€œBut Iā€™m alright, really. I did well and survived. Iā€™m okay. Thatā€™s all that matters.ā€
You sighed tenderly. ā€˜I suppose so. I think thatā€™s always enough for me. Knowing that youā€™re well.ā€
ā€œExactly. So, my love. Enough about me. Tell me, how was your day? Did you finish your manuscript for the new book?ā€ He thinks that he could see your smile, even from a phone call. If thereā€™s anything that makes him feel warm inside, itā€™s your smile.
There was a brief pause, and you laughed. ā€œYes, I did! It was a lot of work, but I finally finished it well. Before the deadline! Which means, no editor coming into our house to take me away from you! Iā€™m really happy with how it turned out. I spent most of the day taking in the words I wrote and making sure everything was perfect.ā€
Nanami listened as you shared the details of your day, his heart lifting with every word you spoke. Your voice was animated and full of excitement, a soothing balm to his weary soul. He could picture you in the kitchen, eyes sparkling as you talked about finishing your manuscript and experimenting with new recipes. He asked questions, genuinely interested in every detail, finding comfort in the normalcy of your conversation.
As he listened, he was struck by the stark contrast between the world you described and the chaos he had faced earlier. Your day, filled with the mundane but meaningful tasks of editing and cooking, felt like a distant haven from the danger and uncertainty that had engulfed him. It was in these moments, when he could hear the warmth and love in your voice, that he found his grounding.
Nanami Kento often marveled at how deeply he loved you. It was a love that had grown over time, a steady flame that had become an essential part of his existence. Despite the tumultuous nature of his work, you were his constant, his anchor in a sea of unpredictability. Your unwavering support and understanding were the bedrock of his strength, and he cherished every bit of it.
In a world where so much was uncertain, your love was a rare and precious constant. It was the reason he fought so hard, the reason he pulled through the darkest moments. Your voice was a reminder of why he endured the risks and dangers of his profession. It was the promise of coming home to a place where he was loved and valued, no matter how challenging the world outside might be.
As you continued to talk, Nanami Kento felt a profound sense of gratitude. He knew that he could face any challenge, knowing that you were waiting for him at home. Your support gave him the strength to confront the darkness and emerge stronger. And in that quiet, shared moment over the phone, he felt an overwhelming appreciation for you, his partner, his love, and his greatest source of comfort.
ā€œAnd then I took a break and made that recipe we found a while back!ā€ you continued, giggling at the end.Ā
You were always like this, when you were excited about something that had turned out well. Nanami Kento thinks that he can only feel like his heart is going to burst whenever you talk like this, like you were sunshine itself in his cloudy days.Ā
ā€œI canā€™t wait for you to come home, baby. You would enjoy it well!ā€
He chuckled softly. ā€œIā€™m looking forward to it. It sounds delicious.ā€
You laughed, the sound light and musical. ā€œIā€™ll make it for you when you get home. Just promise me youā€™ll be safe until then, okay?ā€
ā€œI promise, my love. ā€œKento said, his voice sincere. ā€œIā€™ll be home soon, okay?ā€
ā€œThatā€™s great!ā€ You cheered on the other line. ā€œI can cook it right away. Iā€™m sure it will be ready by the time you get home.ā€
Nanami was about to reply when Itadori Yuuji walked in. The boy with fuschia hair started to speak but quickly realized that Nanami was on a call and fell silent. His face started to turn red as he blubbered a weak apology, as he turned around and started to walk off. Nanami shakes his head and puts his hand on his shoulder. Yuuji looks as though he was going to explode from embarrassment, mouthing to Nanami to let him go. But since he was here, he might as well introduce you to the boy.
Nanami Kento was private about his life. He rarely talked about how he was a proud married man. But it wasnā€™t because he was embarrassed. If anything, he would like to brag about you to the world. How you had the loveliest singing voice. How your cooking was the best he had ever tasted. How your words were always the warmest to hear. But he didnā€™t think he needed to share you with the world. Your presence was his sanctuary, a secret haven where he could retreat from the chaos of his duties.
In the quiet moments at home, when the world outside seemed a distant memory, he would listen to you hum a tune as you prepared dinner, your melody weaving a tapestry of comfort and familiarity. The aroma of your cooking filled the air, a symphony of flavors that spoke of love and care in every bite. And when you spoke, your voice gentle and soothing, it was as if the weight of his burdens lifted, replaced by a warmth that radiated from your every word.
Nanami didnā€™t need to share these moments with anyone else. They were his to treasure in this life, this little life heā€™s built with you. In your eyes, he found a reflection of the man he aspired to be ā€“ strong, yet tender; stoic, yet deeply affectionate. And in your embrace, he found the peace he so often sought in a world that demanded so much of him.
To the world, he was Nanami Kento, a formidable sorcerer and a man of few words. But to you, he was simply Kento, your beloved husband who cherished every moment spent in your presence. And that, he believed, was more than enough.
But he supposed, at least today, you would get known to the world.
ā€œWho was that, Kento, baby?ā€ you asked, curiosity piqued.
Nanami smiled slightly. ā€œThis is Itadori Yuuji, a student at Jujutsu High. Iā€™m looking after him right now, for GojoĀ  and his wife.ā€
He could feel the pitch get higher. That excitement in your voice, it never gets old to him. ā€œOh, bring him over for dinner, baby. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s enough food for us to share. Maybe even more.ā€
Yuuji looked even more flustered, shaking his head slowly. ā€œI donā€™t want to impose on you at allā€¦ā€
ā€œNonsense, Yuuā€“chan! Can I call you that, Yuuā€“chan? I think it suits you well!ā€Ā
ā€œYā€“yes, thatā€™s fine.ā€ The boy uttered back, his lips trembling. ā€œIā€“I donā€™t mind at all.ā€
ā€œMy! He sounds like a darling, baby.ā€ You gushed happily. ā€œIā€™d love to have him over for dinner with us, baby. It would be more lively.ā€
ā€œHm, I think so too.ā€ He hums as he looks at Itadori. ā€œItadoriā€“kun, you are welcome at our house.ā€
ā€œIā€¦.I donā€™t know what to say.ā€
ā€œYou donā€™t have to say anything, Yuuā€“chan. Weā€™ll be glad to have you.ā€ You cooed on the other line. ā€œOh, baby. I think itā€™s going to be chilly tonight, so you might as well grab some miso paste before you get back home. It would be nice.ā€
Nanami nodded. ā€œAlright. Is there anything else that you want me to grab?ā€
ā€œI think something for the soup! Iā€™ll text you the details.ā€ You say to him. ā€œBut, baby, Iā€™ll start cooking in a bit, so Iā€™ll hang up.ā€
ā€œYou should. Remember the last time when you were cooking on call?ā€
He could feel the heat from your cheeks miles away. That incident will never leave you, you think. ā€œTā€“that was one time, you know! And it ended on a happier note. It wasnā€™t that bad.ā€
ā€œHm, I suppose so.ā€ He smiles at the phone. ā€œIā€™ll be home in a bit, with Itadoriā€“kun. I love you.ā€
ā€œI love you too. See you soon, Kento!ā€ You blew a kiss through the phone, and Nanami felt a little flustered as he ended the call.
Clearing his throat, he turned to Yuuji, who looked both embarrassed and curious. There were few people who knew he was married, let alone how much softer and brighter he became when it came to his wife. And now, Itadori Yuuji seems to be one of them.
Nanami's stern facade cracked ever so slightly as he met the young sorcerer's gaze. Yuuji's eyes were wide with a mix of surprise and wonder, clearly grappling with the unexpected revelation. Nanami could almost see the gears turning in the boy's head, trying to reconcile the image of the strict, no-nonsense mentor with the man who evidently harbored a deep, abiding love for someone special.
Kento sighed, pursing his lips. This was bound to happen, he supposed. The gods would make it happen, one way or another. He had always been careful, keeping his personal life meticulously separate from his professional duties. But perhaps it was inevitable that, sooner or later, the two worlds would collide.
ā€œWho was that, Nanamin?ā€ Yuuji asked hesitantly.
ā€œThat was my wife.ā€ Nanami explained to him, putting his phone away.Ā  ā€œItā€™s better if we talk about it on the way there. Come on, letā€™s get going. I donā€™t want the store to close on us.ā€
ā€œHuh?ā€
ā€œHuh? Itadoriā€“kun, are you okay?ā€
The shock is now more evident than ever before in Itadori Yuujiā€™s face. He was hysterical, stunned and dumbfounded. ā€œWhat? Nanamin, youā€™re married? You have a wife? Huh?ā€
"Itadoriā€“kun, please calm down." he began, his voice steady but tinged with an uncharacteristic gentleness. "Yes, I am married."
Yuuji blinked, processing the confirmation. He finds his composure and starts smiling. "Wow, Nanamin, I didn't know... I mean, you never mentioned it. But I shouldā€”Congratulations on your marriage!ā€
Nanami nodded, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He didn't know what to say as the young fuchsia-haired boy started clapping like it was a newly finished wedding reception. The sound of Yuuji's enthusiastic applause filled the air, an unexpected burst of joy that contrasted sharply with the usual solemnity of their conversations.
This kid has too much energy in him, now that heā€™s out of that dark headspace, Nanami thought, observing Yuuji's bright, expressive face. The transformation in the boy was remarkable; gone was the haunted look that had shadowed his eyes not so long ago. Instead, Yuuji was brimming with vitality, his spirit seemingly unbreakable despite the hardships he had faced.
But Kento thinks that itā€™s for the best. Itā€™s hard to be in such a dark place. Levity should be welcomed. In a world where curses and battles often cast long shadows, moments of light-heartedness were precious. Nanami Kento had always believed in the importance of balance, of relief and seeing Itadory Yuuji so full of life reminded him of why he foughtā€”to protect the innocence and joy that still existed in the world.Ā
"I don't often talk about it.ā€ Nanami says softly. ā€œNot because I am ashamed or unwilling, but because...well, my wife is a part of my life that I prefer to keep private. Our moments together are precious to me."
Yuuji's curiosity seemed to override his embarrassment. "Your wife must be really amazing, Nanamin!" he ventured, his tone sincere and full of admiration. ā€œYour wife seems to make you very happy!ā€
"My love certainly does." Nanami replied, his expression softening as he thought of you. "My wife is my sanctuary, my peace in a turbulent world. Iā€™m lucky to be blessed.ā€
Yuuji smiled, clearly moved by the rare glimpse into Nanami's personal life. "That sounds incredible, Nanamin. I think it's great that you have someone like that."
Nanami gave a small nod, a silent acknowledgment of the truth in Yuuji's words. But he cleared his throat, feeling a bit of heat rise to his face as the young boy grinned at him. "Thank you, Itadori-kun." he said, his voice steady yet softer than usual. "Now, letā€™s make our way. Itā€™ll be hard to find a store open late."
Yuujiā€™s grin widened, but he nodded obediently, falling into step beside Nanami. "Right, Nanamin! Letā€™s get moving."
As they walked through the dimly lit streets, Nanami couldnā€™t help but feel a sense of relief. Despite the vulnerability of revealing a part of his personal life, he found solace in Yuujiā€™s reaction. He thinks his reaction was endearing, too. Nanami Kento thinks that he realizes the extent of the boyā€™s unfiltered happiness. It was like a deep uncharted ocean. But it was nice, how warm it was, his genuine response.Ā
Nanami Kento thinks that learning more about being an adult is because of Itadori Yuuji than anything else. And he thinks thatā€™s lovely, and perhaps you will think the same. The children are the future, after all. And their joys will always beļæ½ļæ½ a reminder of the simple joys that still existed, even amidst their perilous world. Perhaps thatā€™s why Gojo Satoru gave him the boy. Gojoā€™s always been astute about that sort of thing, but Nanami thinks that he doesnā€™t have the capability of saying it out loud.
"Say Nanamin," Yuuji began, his tone conversational, more casual than before. Comfortable. "What's your wifeā€™s favorite thing to cook?"
Nanami glanced at Yuuji, a small smile playing on his lips. "Well, my wife has a knack for many dishes, but my wifeā€™s favorite to cook is a traditional Japanese meal. My wife loves making it, and I must admit, itā€™s my favorite to eat. Perhaps more than Danish or Filipino dishes.ā€
Yuuji's eyes sparkled with interest. "That sounds amazing! Do you ever help out in the kitchen?"
Nanami releases a small laugh, the sound carrying a warmth that feels foreign yet welcome. Yuuji thinks that he feels like he is going to smile wider. Happiness looks good in Nanaminā€™s face. "I do, when I can. I take days off sometimes. But my wife likes doing most of the cooking. My wife says that Iā€™m more of a hindrance than help, though. But itā€™s the effort that counts, or so my wife tells me."
Yuuji laughed, the sound bright and full of life. "I bet youā€™re better than you think, Nanamin. It sounds like you two have a lot of fun together."
Nanamiā€™s expression softened, the memories of their shared moments filling him with a gentle warmth. "We do. Iā€™m happy to say that." he admitted, his voice quiet but filled with affection. "In those moments, everything else fades away. Itā€™s just us, and thatā€™s more than enough."

THE SMELL OF GRILLED SALMON MADE NANAMI HAPPY. You were always a much better cook than him, he thinks. He always looked forward to coming home and having a nice hearty meal when you made it for him. The thought of your cooking brought a soft smile to his face as he and Yuuji navigated through the ryokan. He gently handed the young boy slippers, which was returned by a gentle smile and a whispered thanks.
The weight of the day seemed to melt away as he stepped further into the warm embrace of your shared home. The familiar, comforting aroma of your cooking wafted through the air, mingling with the soft, ambient sounds of home. It was a stark contrast to the chaos and danger he faced daily, a sanctuary that he cherished more than anything.
Loosening his tie, he took a moment to simply stand in the hallway, eyes closed, breathing in the scents and sounds that spoke of love and normalcy. Each time he returned, he was reminded of just how much these simple, everyday moments meant to him. It wasnā€™t just the meals or the comfort of the houseā€”it was you. Your presence was the balm to his weary soul, the light that guided him through the darkest of times.
As he walked toward the kitchen, he could hear you humming softly to yourself, a tune that brought a smile to his face. He paused at the doorway. He was going to take in this moment. Itadori Yuuji was just behind him. Both of them take in the sound of your tender humming. Kento was sure that you were also gracefully dancing on the other side, expertly preparing dinner. There was something almost magical in the way you worked, turning ordinary ingredients into something extraordinary. It wasnā€™t just food; it was an expression of your love and care, a daily reminder of how much you meant to each other.
He walks and then stops for a moment, where a wall separates the dining room and the kitchen. Nanami Kento often marveled at how effortlessly you could turn simple ingredients into something extraordinary. The kitchen was your domain, where you wielded spices and herbs with the same precision he applied to exorcizing curses. He watches as your humming intensifies as you move around the kitchen, your movements lively and excited.
There was a particular comfort in the routine you had established together in these many years of marriage. He enjoyed it, every single time. After a long, arduous day, he would come home to the welcoming warmth of your embrace and the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen. You had a way of making every meal special, infusing each dish with a warmth that spoke of your love and care. He knew he was lucky, every single day ā€” to be in your loving arms, to be cared for and adored by you.
As he walked toward the kitchen, he could hear you humming softly to yourself, a tune that brought a smile to his face. He paused at the doorway, taking in the sight of you moving gracefully, expertly preparing dinner. There was something almost magical in the way you worked, turning ordinary ingredients into something extraordinary. It wasnā€™t just food; it was an expression of your love and care, a daily reminder of how much you meant to each other.
Clearing his throat, your Kento stepped into the kitchen. "It smells amazing, my love." he said, his voice warm with affection.
You turned around, startled, and your cheeks flushed as you saw him standing there. "Kento, baby! I didnā€™t hear you come in." you said, quickly setting down the spoon you were holding. Then you noticed Yuuji standing behind him, grinning widely, and your blush deepened. "Oh! Yuuā€“chan, welcome. Iā€“Iā€™m sorry you had to see me in that state! My humming must have been so loud!"
Yuuji gave you a cheerful wave. "Hello, Mrs. Nanami! I didnā€™t mean to intrude, but Nanamin invited me over."
You wiped your hands on a towel, trying to regain your composure. "Itā€™s no trouble at all. And please, you donā€™t have to be formal with me. Youā€™re always welcome here, Yuuā€“chan!"
Nanami watched as Yuuji smiled wider at your response. He stepped closer to you, his presence calming your flustered nerves.Ā  "Your humming was great." he said softly, his eyes filled with affection. ā€œIā€™m home, my love.ā€
You smiled up at him, the embarrassment fading away in the warmth of his gaze. "Iā€™m glad youā€™re home, Kento." you replied, reaching up to touch his cheek.
Yuuji watched the interaction with a happy grin. "You two are so cute, Nanaā€“san!" he said, unable to hide his delight.Ā
You laughed, the sound light and happy. Kento didnā€™t know how to feel with the nickname that Yuuji gave you, but if you were happy about it, then he doesnā€™t think itā€™s anything to be having a fuss over.Ā  "Thank you, Yuuā€“chan. Why donā€™t you take a seat? You must be so hungry! Oh, you should eat a lot. You seem to be getting thin! Come here and wash up. Dinner is almost ready.ā€
ā€œThank you, Nanaā€“san!ā€
You grinned. ā€œOh, itā€™s my pleasure! Now go and wash up. Have a good warm one, okay? Ah, and the towels and some clothes are in a cabinet in front of the bathroom!ā€
Yuuji grinned and waved at you and Kento before he headed over to the direction you pointed and left. Kento crossed his arms and sighed. You were still smiling. ā€œIā€™m glad you took that boy home. He seems to be such a lovely young man, Kento.ā€
ā€œHm. Itadoriā€“kunā€™s a good kid.ā€
ā€œLike Megumiā€“kun, hm?ā€
ā€œWell, Fushiguroā€“kunā€™s a different sort of kid.ā€
As you turned back to the stove with an agreeable hum, your husband stepped closer, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind. You smile as he rests his chin on your shoulder. "Do you need any help?" he asked, his voice a low murmur in your ear.
You leaned back against him, savoring the feeling of his embrace. "Just keep me company," you said softly. "Thatā€™s all I need."
ā€œHow was your day?ā€
ā€œIt's really good.ā€ You whisper to your husband, satisfied. ā€œI finished my manuscript. I sent it to my editor. Iā€™m just waiting for feedback.ā€
ā€œWhat did you do for the rest of the day?ā€ He asked softly, his eyes shifting to look at you tenderly. ā€œI hope you rested. You must have worked through the manuscript without taking a break again, hm?ā€
It was quick for him to pick up on your ears turning red. He was right. ā€œ....I did sleep, you know. I rested a lot after. I knew you would be worried if I didnā€™t.ā€
ā€œAh, so thatā€™s why you didnā€™t reply to my text.ā€
ā€œHuh, what do you think I was doing?ā€ You pouted as you looked at him.Ā
He grins. ā€œI thought you were crying about your 3D man on Twitter again.ā€
You blush even harder. ā€œAhhhh, Kento! I wasnā€™t, I was sleeping!ā€
ā€œHm, thatā€™s a win for me then.ā€
ā€œYou tease, you!ā€
Itadori Yuuji had gotten out of the shower and stopped his tracks when he saw the two of you bantering. It was something interesting to see. So far, heā€™d only known the blond to be stern and stoic, perhaps serious and strict too. But he could not help but feel warmth when he saw how he is with you, his wife. He could only watch with a mix of admiration and amusement as Nanami Kento stayed close to you as you finished preparing the meal.Ā
At times, Yuuji could not help wondering if his mother and father had ever done something like this. If he was being honest, he doesnā€™t remember much about his parents. And grandpa really didnā€™t talk much about them when he was growing up. But Yuuji still liked to imagine. He liked to imagine a warm, happy home. Where his parents were there, waiting for him. With a warm meal, a loving hug and a laughing face.Ā
For a moment, he couldnā€™t help but imagine that this was home. That this was his own little happy home. With a mother and a father that loved each other, with a warm meal on the way for his belly and a tender greeting with that laughing face for him. Itadori Yuuji thinks that maybe just this once, even just tonight, heā€™d like to keep this moment as it was and carve it in his memory.Ā
You were the first to notice that he had returned. You turned around as Kento moved away. You were still a bit flustered but smiled at him. ā€œDid you have a good shower, Yuuā€“chan? Dinnerā€™s almost ready, you can sit down!ā€
Yuuji smiled widely. ā€œYes, I did! Thank you for welcoming me again, Nanaā€“san.ā€
You waved him off. ā€œOh, donā€™t even think about it, Yuuā€“chan. Weā€™re glad to have you here!ā€
ā€œItadoriā€“kun, come here.ā€ Nanami calls to him, waving for him to come. ā€œHelp me set up the table for the meal.ā€
ā€œYes, of course, Nanamin!ā€ He nodded, immediately coming over.
They settled the table as you began putting the dishes on the plates. You grinned as you turned to set the dishes on the table, your heart swelling with affection as you watched your husband indulge Yuuji in a conversation about how to properly plate a table. Yuuji, with his usual wide-eyed curiosity, listened intently as Nanami explained the intricacies of table settingā€”how the forks and knives should be arranged, the importance of the right glassware, and even the subtle art of folding napkins.
You could see the delight in Yuujiā€™s eyes as he absorbed every detail, and it warmed your chest to see Kenyto share his knowledge so patiently. It was clear that Kento was savoring this moment quietly, enjoying the chance to mentor and connect with Yuuji in this simple yet meaningful way. His usual reserved demeanor softened into something more tender and nurturing, and you couldnā€™t help but feel a deep sense of happiness.
The kitchen was alive with the sounds of your evening togetherā€”laughter, the clinking of utensils, and the occasional lighthearted banter. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, a stark contrast to the challenges Nanami faced outside. You moved around the table, placing the final touches on the meal, while the two of them continued their engaging discussion.
"See, Itadoriā€“kun." Nanami said, demonstrating the correct way to position a knife beside the plate. "The blade should always face inward, toward the plate. Itā€™s a small detail, but it makes a big difference."
Yuuji nodded, his expression one of earnest concentration. "Got it! Iā€™ll have to remember that. Thanks for the tips, Nanamin."
You couldnā€™t help but smile as you watched them. The sight of Kento imparting his knowledge with such care and Yuuji absorbing it with enthusiasm filled you with a profound sense of contentment. It was moments like these that reminded you of the beauty of simple connections, the joy of sharing everyday experiences, and the happiness that came from seeing the people you loved come together.
As you finished setting the table, you joined the conversation, your voice blending with theirs in easy harmony. The meal was ready, and the table was set with all the care Kento had described. The three of you chatted effortlessly, the conversation flowing naturally between you. Yuuji asked questions, Nanami answered with a mixture of expertise and humor, and you added your own touches to the discussion.
The kitchen was filled with laughter and the clinking of dishes, creating a symphony of warmth and joy. As you all sat down to enjoy the meal, you couldnā€™t help but feel a deep sense of fulfillment. The love and connection you shared with Nanami, now extended to Yuuji in these small, everyday moments, made you realize just how precious and meaningful these times were.
In the midst of the shared meal, as the conversation continued and the laughter echoed through the room, you felt incredibly grateful. The sight of Nanami treating Yuuji with such kindness, the ease of their interactions, and the warmth of your home created a beautiful tapestry of everyday joy. And as you looked around the table, surrounded by the people you loved, you knew that these were the moments you would cherish forever.
As the meal drew to a close, you noticed that Yuujiā€™s eyes were beginning to droop. The day's excitement and the hearty dinner had taken their toll. You glanced at your husband, who met your gaze with a knowing smile.
ā€œYuuā€“chan.ā€ you said gently, placing a hand on his shoulder. ā€œItā€™s getting late, and you must be tired. Why donā€™t you head to the guest room and get some rest? Youā€™re welcome to stay the night if youā€™d like.ā€
Yuuji blinked, a little surprised but clearly pleased. ā€œOh, really? I didnā€™t mean to impose, Nanaā€“sanā€¦ā€
ā€œYouā€™re not imposing at all, Yuuā€“chan.ā€ you reassured him with a warm smile. ā€œYouā€™re always welcome here. Always. Weā€™d be happy to have you stay.ā€
Yuujiā€™s face lit up with a genuine smile. ā€œThank you so much! Iā€™d love to stay. Itā€™s been a while since I had a home-cooked meal like this, and spending time with you both has been really nice.ā€
Kento nodded, his expression tender. ā€œIā€™m glad you enjoyed it. The guest room is all set for you. Let me show you where it is.ā€
As your husband led Yuuji toward the guest room, you decided to go on ahead and tidy up the table and cleaned the remaining dishes before your husband came back. Your husband always insists on doing it, but he is already tired. It feels nice for you, you think ā€” to make sure that the home is clean for your lovely husband to relax in. The sounds of their footsteps and quiet conversation in the hallway were a comforting backdrop to your evening chores. They still must be talking upstairs, if they were still walking about. A few minutes later, your husband returned, his demeanor still soft and content.
ā€œYou know you didnā€™t have to wash it up, my love.ā€ He presses a kiss on your cheek as you dry your hands. ā€œI would have wanted to do it.ā€
You smile at him. ā€œI know, but I wanted to do it. You deserve some rest.ā€
ā€œSo do you.ā€ He sighs, growing softer as he looks at you. ā€œIā€™ll do it tomorrow, hm? The whole day.ā€
You playfully roll your eyes, smiling wider. ā€œFine, if you insist.ā€
He smiles. ā€œGood.ā€
ā€œSo, how is Yuuā€“chan?ā€ You asked as you started untying your apron. ā€œHe must be exhausted.ā€
ā€œHm. Heā€™s about to get ready for bed. He didnā€™t sleep much yesterday, so he should start to fall asleep soon.ā€
You sighed. ā€œPoor boy. Well, he can stay as much as he likes. I doubt Satoā€“chan would be home early to pick him up again. Let him stay with us until then.ā€
ā€œThatā€™s what I told Gojo.ā€
ā€œGood.ā€ You smiled at him. ā€œThen I could continue to cook for him. Pamper him, even!ā€
ā€œYou really made Itadoriā€“kunā€™s night, my love.ā€ Nanami said, his voice filled with appreciation. ā€œHe looked genuinely happy.ā€
You smiled at your husband. ā€œHeā€™s a good kid. Iā€™m glad we could make him feel at home. Itā€™s nice to share our home with someone who means so much to you. And well, someone who is dear to me now too.ā€
Kento walked closer to you, pulling you into a gentle embrace. ā€œThank you for making him feel welcome. I know it means a lot to him. And to me.ā€
You rested your head against his chest, savoring the warmth of his hug. ā€œItā€™s what family is all about. And you know, itā€™s nice to have another person to share our home with.ā€
As you both stood there, the tranquility of the evening enveloping you, Nanami kissed the top of your head. ā€œLetā€™s go check on him before we head to bed. Itā€™s always nice to say goodnight.ā€
You nodded, and together you walked down the hallway to the guest room. The door was slightly ajar, and you could see Yuuji already settling in, his face relaxed and content. The blacket was covering him well enough. It was a cold night, so you were at least glad for that. You smiled at him.
ā€œHi, Yuuā€“chan. We just wanted to come up and say goodnight.ā€ you said softly, peeking into the room. ā€œSleep well, hm? As much as you like, itā€™s okay. Remember, you have a home here with Kento and I whenever you want.ā€
Yuuji looked up, his eyes bright with gratitude. ā€œThank you, Nanaā€“san, really. Iā€™ll definitely take you up on that whenever I can. Nanamin already said the same thing, but reallyā€¦.Iā€™m grateful to both of you.ā€
You smiled at him warmly. For a moment, Yuuji thinks that it would be a smile that only loving mothers can pull off. ā€œOf course, donā€™t worry. Good night, Yuuā€“chan. Get some rest.ā€
With a final wave and a warm smile, you and Kento quietly closed the door and made your way back to your own room. The house felt even more like a home with Yuujiā€™s presence. And you were glad for it. As you looked at your husband, you knew that he felt the same way. You leaned against him, satisfied, happily. This was a happy night.

epilogueĀ
The warmth of the evening lingered, and you felt a happy contentment settle over you as you changed into your pajamas. Nanami Kento was already in bed, propped up against the pillows and reading a book. You slid under the covers next to him, resting your head on his shoulder.
"Kento, baby." you said, your tone light and playful. ā€œI have thoughts I wanna say out loud.ā€
"Hmm?" He glanced down at you, his expression softening. ā€œWhat are they about, my love?ā€
"Iā€™ve been thinking, you knowā€¦.I donā€™t think itā€™s crazy to think this, what Iā€™m thinking." you began, a mischievous twinkle in your eye. "Maybe we should adopt Yuuā€“chan."
Nanami blinked, clearly taken aback. "Adopt Itadoriā€“kun?"
You nodded, trying to keep a straight face. "Yes, heā€™s such a sweet boy, Kento. And he already seems like part of the family. Plus, he clearly adores you. And you clearly adore him. Iā€™m sure itā€™s mutual between him and I. So, we might as well make it happen!ā€
Nanami chuckled, the sound deep and warm. "You do realize heā€™s already got Gojo as his current guardian, right? I doubt the higherā€“ups will allow us to take Itadoriā€“kun.ā€
You pouted. "Yes, but think about it. Iā€™m sure Satoā€“chan can convince everyone to make us Yuuā€“chanā€™s parents.Ā  Heā€™d bring so much energy into the house. Imagine all the laughter and fun. And youā€™d get to give him more life advice about girls, well even boys. Iā€™m sure weā€™ll love him no matter what, you know?ā€
Kento closed his book, setting it aside. "And what would you get out of this arrangement?"
"Oh, just the joy of seeing you two bond even more. Being his motherā€¦." you said with a laugh. "And maybe some help with the cooking. I can think some more, Iā€™m sure.ā€
Kento shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips. "Youā€™re incorrigible, my love.ā€
"But you love me still, hm?" you said, leaning in to kiss his cheek.
"That I do, my love." he agreed, wrapping his arm around you. "But I think we should leave the adopting to those who donā€™t have to face curses every day."
You sighed dramatically, still pouting. "Fine, fine. But I still think itā€™s a good idea."
Kento laughed, pulling you closer. "Maybe we can settle for having him over for dinner more often. How does that sound?"
You snuggled into his embrace, your smile widening. "Perfect. And who knows, maybe heā€™ll start calling you his dad! And me, his mom!ā€
Kento groaned playfully. "Now thatā€™s a terrifying thought."
You laughed, the sound mingled with his, and the two of you drifted off to sleep, the warmth of your love and the lightheartedness of your conversation wrapping around you like a cozy blanket.
ā€œBut maybe when you retireā€¦.ā€
ā€œ......Iā€™ll think about it.ā€
ā€œI love you so much!ā€ You say, kissing his shoulder.Ā
You hear him sigh, content. ā€œI love you too.ā€

facts about nanami and his wife:
kento thinks that he fits being a house-husband. he likes the idea of taking care of his wife, so he thinks that he'd be great at it. he's thought about quitting sorcery to be a house-husband.
yuuji becomes a staple in your house. the guest room he used became his regular bedroom at the house. you buy clothes you think would suit him often and put it in his drawers. when he can't stay for the night, you indulge a long dinner.
these dinners lasting long into the night leads into yuuji not going home to the dorms at all and a long phone call between kento and yaga.
kento's mother and grandmother send your recipes to try almost daily. you guys maintain a group chat without the men in your lives. you enjoy it a lot, when you vent about your editor.
your editor always has a hard time with you keeping up with deadlines and because your editor's stric. sometimes, he brings out a picture of kento looking disappointed at you and you cry harder.
you still continue to ask kento to adopt yuuji because you really love him a lot. it would be easier if he was your son!!!

Hi, I really like reading your JJK analyses. Do you think that Itadori ate Sukuna's finger out of his free will? A lot of fans think that Itadori deserves to be punished for Sukuna's crimes because he willingly ate the finger (and because Sukuna is apparently a force of nature so he cannot be punished). I disagree, but what do you think?
Okay, so this really touches on a lot of stuff in-world for JJK and in general, philosophically. And philosophy is not my strong suit XD
Letā€™s take care of the last part of this first. Sukuna is a human, not a force of nature, not a god, not a curse. Heā€™s a human in full control of his mental faculties: not mentally ill in any way, but especially not in a way that could make him incapable of controlling himself, not intoxicated, not coerced, not controlled by an outside force through magical means. So heā€™s fully responsible for all his decisions regarding his actions when he has control of Yuujiā€™s body. Heā€™s hard to hold accountable, true, but itā€™s the problem of those whoā€™d want to punish him. You know, skill issue.
Now, letā€™s take a closer look at the Yuuji part of this claim.
Free Will vs Fate
The first thing is whether free will exists in the JJK world and to what extent. And I feel it does but thereā€™s also a fate component, for example in relation to Tengen and Six Eyes. So thereā€™s some limitation to the free will, at least for some characters. Is Yuuji entangled by fate with anyone? He could be. There are hints that his connection to Sukuna might date back to Heian. Itā€™s hard to tell at this point.
Choice
Then we come to the concept of choice. Letā€™s say Yuuji had the free will to eat the first finger on that school roof, that there was no fate involved. How much of a choice did he actually have?Ā
Some people like to entertain themselves by saying things like ā€œyou always have a choiceā€ even when the choice is between two horrible outcomes. For example working a job that is very destructive to your body and mental health but having a home or having no job and becoming homeless. They like to pretend like thereā€™s a viable choice here.Ā
And this is also the case with Yuuji. His choice was eat the finger and hopefully save Megumi or run and live with the guilt of whatever fate befell Megumi, likely never even finding out what actually happened, considering how secretive the sorcerers are. Is this really a viable choice?Ā
I don't think it is. The manga rushes through this part in a typical first chapter fashion. In the anime Megumi warns Yuuji not to eat it but he doesnā€™t even tell Yuuji why. He doesnā€™t warn Yuuji that heā€™s likely to die, let alone that Yuuji dying would be the preferred outcome to the alternative, aka an evil homicidal bastard returning among the living. So Yuuji is working with the information provided and to him it seems either they both die or they get both saved. To him it feels like a fair gamble at that point.
And all this disregards the circumstances of that choice:
Shock and grief of losing the only family he had merely minutes or hours earlier
Last words of the said family member which are eerily relevant to the situation with the curse
Shock of learning about the supernatural
Shock of seeing his friends badly injured and knowing they couldā€™ve died
Mortal danger
Extreme time pressure
All these render any discussion of free will in that decision making process a little shaky. In philosophy the influence of a personā€™s mental condition on choice, free will and ethics is actually a field of study.
Circumstance or Part of a Plan
Yuuji was created to become Sukuna's vessel as a part of Kenjakuā€™s plan. And for that plan Kenjaku manipulates the lives of others and creates situations to get certain outcomes. Like they did with Yuuji's friendship with Junpei. Once Junpei was involved by Mahito but also befriend by Yuuji, mother used that to test barriers for their own plans and also to test Yuuji. And probably confirm Sukunaā€™d made a vow with Yuuji. Kenjaku doesn't tell the disaster cursed about the vow, but they know much more about Jujutsu and Sukuna than the curses, they knew Yuuji was going to come back to life after the detention centre. Likely because they knew Sukuna would make a vow.
This makes me ask questions like:Ā
Why was Sukuna's finger, an object of such importance, in an average school?
Why was Yuuji in that very school?
Why was that finger easily accessible?
Why did Yuuji find it? Was he drawn to it?
All these put complete free will on his part into question, unless we assume this was all a complete coincidence that by complete chance played into Kenjaku's plan.
But even if someone believes that, Yuuji would've been fed a finger at some point. How would it play into him being deserving of punishment? If he was coerced, would he still deserve it? What if he was tricked? Would he deserve it because he allowed himself to be incapacitated or tricked? I mean it's not an uncommon position assholes take towards victims of violence or scams.
Crimes and Complicity
Now let's look at Sukuna's crimes and Yuuji's complicity in them.Ā
The first time Sukuna has reign of Yuujiā€™s body is on that school roof.Ā
Sukuna then kills the curse and fantasises about massacres. The latter isnā€™t really a proper threat of violence because itā€™s not directed at any particular person or persons. Thatā€™s it, then Yuuji takes over. No crime so far.Ā
Then Gojou comes and arrogantly and irresponsibly decides that itā€™s a good idea to check Yuujiā€™s control over Sukuna in the open, there isnā€™t even a veil raised, no crowd control. Sukuna proceeds to do some property damage - his first actual crime. Is Yuuji responsible for that? Not really, heā€™s a traumatised and badly hurt minor who was pressured to relinquish control of his own body by an adult.Ā
The second time Sukuna comes out is in the detention centre.
Yuuji waits for his friends to be far away and then gives Sukuna control. It is very much a calculated risk, Yuuji believes in his ability to prevent Sukuna from rampaging and assesses the cursed womb as a bigger danger to everyone than Sukuna in his body, and heā€™s mostly right.Ā
Sukuna does more property damage and severely beats up Megumi and kills Yuuji. The latter is Yuujiā€™s choice to stop him from killing Megumi. So yeah, heā€™s responsible for Megumiā€™s injuries because he didnā€™t factor in how his own injuries and mental exhaustion would prevent him from fully controlling Sukuna. And in a kind of twisted way Yuuji is responsible for Sukunaā€™s last crime of killing Yuuji himself, because if he didnā€™t come back Sukuna wouldnā€™t have killed him.
Then Sukuna tricks Yuuji into a vow and makes Yuuji unaware of the existence of the said vow..
For Sukunaā€™s third outing Yuuji isnā€™t responsible in the least.
Yuuji gets killed by Chousou and if he was left alone, he and Sukuna couldā€™ve died then and there. The only reason he survives and Sukuna is let loose is because the twins and then Jougo force feed him more fingers overwhelming his soulā€™s capacity to cage Sukuna. Considering the level of trauma Yuuji had sustained then, it takes him more time than at the detention centre to take back control. And yeah, Sukuna commits a mass murder.. And more property damage ;-)
So.
Even if someone decides that Yuuji had completely free will to eat the first finger (I wouldnā€™t if itā€™s not obvious so far), under regular circumstances Yuuji is perfectly capable of caging Sukuna, rendering him incapable of committing any crimes apart from verbal harassment and threats of violence.Ā
The sorcerers knew that perfectly well, because Gojou has tested it, on the roof and then by feeding Yuuji another finger after Wasukeā€™s cremation.Ā
The elders decided to murder Yuuji, and his two new friends as collateral. Thus created an abnormally traumatic situation. Which led to Yuuji losing control over Sukuna.Ā
Not learning from that debacle that Yuuji should be kept away from harm so they can slowly feed him the fingers, the sorcerers put Yuuji on the front line in Shibuya. And the whole Shibuya incident is orchestrated by Kenjaku, though not micromanaged. I donā€™t think they predicted Sukunaā€™s rampage. That was on the twins a bit but mostly on Jougo, the former are kids, Jougou is ancient, he shouldā€™ve known better.Ā Ā
Blame - Who Deserves Punishment?
That all being said. Yuuji wouldā€™ve been fed Sukunaā€™s fingers one way or the other. He ended up under the care of the sorcerers who went the most fucking irresponsible way possible about handling that.Ā
Would the mass murder in Shibuya not happen if Kenjaku fed Yuuji the fingers under different circumstances and Yuuji was under their care? Maybe it would, maybe it wouldnā€™t. Would other mass murder happen instead? Maybe, maybe not. Would Sukuna have killed Gojou? Absolutely. Unless Gojouā€™d stayed in the box.Ā
This whole idea reeks of the fandomā€™s dislike of Yuuji. Nobody talks like that about Gojou and the elders where itā€™s pretty easy to point to the ways they are very clearly complicit in various tragedies in JJK, including the way the Shibuya incident went.Ā
And I guess they forget that Kenjaku exists?
Yuuji is a child and new to the jujutsu world. He follows instructions and puts trust in the adults in the jujutsu world. Most detrimentally to himself, he puts trust into Gojou who fails him over and over again.Ā
Yuuji doesnā€™t proactively go into the world to seek the fingers or fight curses. He finds himself in situations and tries to handle them, but heā€™s not the creator of the said situations. Heā€™s not the driver of the events. He doesnā€™t act recklessly.Ā
Even if we consider eating the first finger, Yuuji's act of full free will. Yuuji ate the finger out of desperation and ignorance but still he managed to prevent Sukuna from doing any harm. He handled his questionable choice.
Then Yuuji was captured by Gojou, the strongest of the sorcerers and an adult. A person fully aware of curses, jujutsu and the threat of Sukuna. And Gojou decided to let Yuuji live, even though he couldā€™ve killed Yuuji on that very school roof. Gojou kept Yuuji alive despite the eldersā€™ will. He kept Yuuji alive knowing full well that by doing so he put a target on Yuujiā€™s back because he dragged the boy into his little political scuffles with the elders. He kept Yuuji alive and didnā€™t protect him, and didn't really put much work into educating Yuuji so he could protect himself better at least.
The truth is, if weā€™re looking to blame someone for Sukunaā€™s crimes, other than Sukuna (and he is the one to blame first and foremost!), or at least Kenjaku or Jougo, then itā€™s mostly Gojou and the elders to a lesser degree.

Actually yeah youā€™re real for that getting into messy drama fr just isnā€™t worth the effort especially with crazy people who will spin it out of proportionsā€¦.struggle is real ugh but yeah slow ghosting is the move LMAO
SHSHSHS not me forgetting too even though your pfp is right in my face im sorry shinahā€¦.but no I was actually tweaking like wdym we got PANDA mf PANDAS BACKSTORY and not Inumaki??? Donā€™t get me wrong I love panda but youā€™re telling me a cursed doll has more lore moments than Inumaki goodbye (at least heā€™s alive)
SHSHSHSHS the way sheā€™s been dubbed fanon Shidou now is so funny but you saying that just to annoy her at first is so funny but AGREE he definitely looks a lot more deranged in the anime too (which works because I mean he is) thereā€™s definitely some earlier panels where he looks ok (I think some moments when heā€™s first with junpei too!)
NO FR itā€™s not the same because indigo league he was immature but funny as hell like him misty and Brock just roasting the hell out of each other and doing random shit but alola is likeā€¦.catered to elementary students reboot happy friendship wahoo idk itā€™s not as entertaining but lowk a rewatch may be in orderā€¦..
WJDHSKSJ you pulled out that ā€œ1 question part abcdefghijklmnopā€ format but thatā€™s so real because people on wp can fr find anything to shit on but about point c I think itā€™s really funny because they WOULD complain about that but I bet readers complaining to like ā€œMF KARASU THAT GIBLE WAS MINEEEEEā€ LMAOAOA anyways
AHAAHAHAHAH THAGS ACTUALLY SO FUNNY that mutual really spreading the word im crying honestly your long fics could actually be stand alone media soooo
WAITTTTT save that thought for that one vague Karasu req you haveā€¦Iā€™m crying otoya giving him a fan meet ticket thinking it was a scam too thatā€™s so otoya coded but KARASU fanboying so hard that reader doesnā€™t even realize heā€™s a hotshot too and she looks up match clips and sees a completely diff persona on field LMAOOO if you donā€™t find anything else I vote this idea for that req
SHSHS NEXT TIME TRUST itā€™s ok the pink Nagi is very easy on the eyes LOL
- Karasu anon
iā€™m so drama averse i also hate hurting peopleā€™s feelings (though iā€™m the first to make a sassy comment itā€™s either lighthearted/in good fun or to someone who genuinely deserves it) so my default is just running away HAHAHA luckily we ended up going to different universities so it was pretty easy to transition out of friendship
shinah is like a back burner manā€¦heā€™ll always be there for me when i need him but heā€™s not forefront in my mind yk?? and yeah gege gave a surprising amount of depth to panda given what he is SDFHSLKD meanwhile inumaki was left with nothing šŸ˜ i wish he had given inumaki an alternative way of talking that wasnā€™t ingredients like sign language or smth!! although i can see how drawing sign language might be difficult but like whatā€™s stopping him from carrying around a whiteboard and a marker?? that would maintain the silliness while also allowing for more serious moments (kind of like his reaction to tulliaā€™s death in pi ā€” not a single ā€œsalmonā€ was dropped because it would completely ruin the vibe of the scene, but he still couldnā€™t talk so i made him write on a piece of paper which i ended up really liking as it still posed challenges for him in communication [such as y/n refusing to read what he wrote at first] without taking away his agency completely)
LMAOOO fanon shidou is just so perfect as a description for her itā€™s hilarious SDLHJFSLDJK but yeah i was specifically talking about season one of the anime (i only picked up the manga in between s1 and s2) in the fight against itadori and nanami right after junpei dies he has some very pretty scenes i canā€™t even lie HAHA but he also has a LOT of deranged/hideous ones so for the most part megumi and yuta stayed as my boys
yeahhh thatā€™s what i was thinking like indigo league is just all of them being deranged (not just the main trio but gary, prof oak, team rocketā€¦all of them were insane) even his pokĆ©mon had sm more personality (the de-sassification of pikachu is tragic) whereas alola just gives me sanitized vibes plus the colors are too bright and i think the art style is too round?? the earlier seasons had a completely diff art style that was just typical of the time instead of being purposefully childish ykā€¦XY REWATCH AFTER BLLK S2 DARE I SAY???
HELP questions like that always have me crash out because like thatā€™s not accurate branding??? fr though people on wattpad will find something to complain about TRUST and omg no thatā€™s so real readerā€™s still pissed about karasu taking gible (although to be fair i feel like his rebuttal would be that she already has hydreigon [pseudo-legendary dragon] and nidoking [ground type] so she doesnā€™t really NEED a garchomp which is true so she doesnā€™t have a huge problem with itā€¦OTOYA on the other hand never gets over it)
imagine a movie on hollyhock or like a really high budget tv series i think it would be so goodā€¦and pursuit ofc HAHAHA even peregrine could work as a movie not to mention pomegranate ink (deserved to be jjk canon) further self glaze here but yeah i always wish they could be animated or filmed or something i think it would be so cool to see that
OTOYA BUYING THE TICKET itā€™s so him too heā€™s like maliciously giggling to himself because heā€™s about to play an epic #prank on karasu and then it turns out that he accidentally bought a real ticket?? PLS karasu is so shy and such a fan that readerā€™s like ā€œno way this dude can be famousā€ and then she looks him up and the first result is just a ā€œtabito karasu cussing out his teammates for 10 minutes straightā€ youtube compilation of him swearing at shidou and zantetsu (the second result is a ā€œtabito karasu rizzing up his opponents for 7 minutes straightā€ youtube compilation of him calling chigiri ā€œprincessā€ and talking about hioriā€™s left leg)
I DO LOVE THE PINK NAGI i think itā€™s so aesthetic hehe especially the header (i also love the pinned post but he looks so pretty in my header hehe) the pink also goes really well w the yona pfp so all in all iā€™m happy with it atmā€¦i am a frequent theme changer though as you know so whoā€™s to say whatā€™ll be next?? sae theme
