imo the single worst set of dialogue-choices in bg3:

let's see, we've got--

after everything, thinking it would be good for Gale to go back to being Mystra's chosen

hey remember that godhood plan i've been discouraging you from this whole time? the game is giving me an eleventh-hour option to change my mind on that for some reason

blatant power hunger

as if it is so hard to imagine a possibility outside these. any other reason why the PC might not encourage returning to Mystra, besides power-hunger or lust for godhood. dunno about you but i can certainly think of other things the PC might have liked to suggest to Gale at this juncture!
